Okuda: Eh.. analysis toh bahd. But he took iy from a more humorous angle..man are you sure you had a good childhood? Otherwise you would catch all the poster said..especiallt the part where emenike is zeus' son.
nawa for here today o, second tackle on me. Nice one tho. The OP doesn't need all those insults on players and their families to be humorous as you called it. The issue here is that many of us are bad fans. We want our team to play beyond what they've got even when we understand their limit. Common, let us be realistic with ourselves and stop been hypocritical, Yobo wasn't that bad today as the OP painted him.

Very weak analysis based on a platter of nursed hatred.

Gentlemimi2: Last i checked, health workers (pharmacists, med lab scientists, physiotherapists, nurses B. Sc,) spend five years in school, plus an additional one yr internship training.
People who study in school of health are the technicians(med lab tech, pharmacist tech....etc).
Pls,understand basic facts like this before displaying ignorance on this forum.
Alright. I really appreciate that clarification.

SMH for Nigeria. So someone who spent 3 years in College of Health Tech., Akure want to be on thesame salary scale with someone who spent 6 years or more in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife? The gods must be crazy!!

Nairaland GeneralNairaland Has Just Been Granted Her Greatest Gift! by Davo93(op): 1:03pm On Jun 27, 2014
With a deep sense of solidarity, I associate with my fellow #teamNAIRALANDER at this time. I crave your distinguished indulgence to borrow the structure of President Benjamin Asher speech to say;

We have lost many members, great articles, invaluable information, wonderful replies, beautiful literatures, juicy and thought provoking diaries, good topics, everyone of them and many other online treasures. Our hearts and solidarity go out to their owners, writers, original posters and handlers as the case may be. And they will be remembered. Nor will we forget those who serve out of the spotlight to #BringBackOurNairaland, to whom we owe our highest gratitude.

Our foe did not come only to destroy our online treasures or our voices, they came to desecrate our way of life. To stop us from airing our various sincere opinions and beliefs. Trample our freedom of association and that of speech. And in this, not only did they fail, they granted us the greatest gift - a chance at our rebirth.

Nairaland will rise renewed, stronger, and united. This is our time. Our chance to get back to the best of who we are. To lead the online world by example with the dignity, freedom, integrity, and honour that built this forum. And which will build it once again. Ahmandla Awethu!

May God bless us,
May God bless Seun Osewa & Crew Members,
May God bless Nairaland and
may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

SportsRe: An Open Letter To Stephen Keshi by Davo93(m): 5:19am On Jan 03, 2014
Very lovely letter there but you keep mentioning Oshaniwa. Is the guy good as such? He was a disaster when he was summoned to feature for the Super Eagles during the Nations Cup I think.

Buzzonix: Ok! Waiting for Seun's response, Davo you can also forward your letter to the complaint thread.
Do you think that will still be necessary? I noticed one of the able moderators of the General Section, r231 was viewing the thread some minutes ago. So I believe he is aware.

Rummenigge: @davo93, well written. Abeg wetin b d latest abt dat bursary stuff?

Nairaland GeneralRe: An Open Letter To Mr Seun Osewa, Nairaland Moderators And Fellow Nairalanders by Davo93(op): 3:07pm On Jan 01, 2014
Danhumprey: I agree with what you said. But when you got to the part where that decree was said to have been made,I didn't get something correct. Personally,I'm aware of the e-debate going on in the Education section. I'm sure that was the brainchild of Fynestboi(I maybe wrong though) and I support it,because it is adding more values and ideas to us,most especially we who are students. And I wish the debates should be allowed to continue, and actually be given Frontpage attention. But the part I don't support is the e-contests(Mr and Mrs Nairaland). Seriously,of what values are they to a greater percentage of Nairaland?
What I was insinuating was that the Admin and Moderators decided to stop featuring those contests on the front page thereby killing the awareness.

As regards the Mr &Mrs Nairaland contest, well, another man's food they say is another man's poison. What I like, you may not like and vice versa. I want to believe the contest has its own fans and followers, so they can really say what value it impacts.
Nairaland GeneralAn Open Letter To Mr Seun Osewa, Nairaland Moderators And Fellow Nairalanders by Davo93(op): 12:44pm On Jan 01, 2014
I wish you all a happy new year 2014. I pray God in his infinite mercy will make this year a better one for us. I also pray that our hopes and aspirations will turn to reality this year by God's grace. I want to believe that the year started on a worthy note for everyone of us?

As part of our(Nairalanders) little efforts at making Nairaland a better place, we collectively requested the feature of a Deactivation Button some months ago. After so many avoidable rigmarolling, the Admin of this lovely forum implemented this necessary feature. You will also arguably agree with me that this feature has been worth it. I sincerely thank all those that rose to support the cause then. Bien fiat!

An attribute of a progressive and a well wisher is that such person never gets tired of pursuing something good. I mean, any effort at making such person's haven a better one is always vehemently protagonised by him/her.

Another e-protest? NO!

"Nairaland - Copyright © 2005 - 2013 Oluwaseun Osewa. All rights reserved." The quoted attest to the incontestable fact that this forum belongs to a man and not groups of people. Hence, it is no offence in any way if most moves by the owner of this forum is geared towards making reasonable profits at the expense of some 'not too bothering ideas'.

However, in any conglomerate, association or forum that wishes to thrive, abound or maintain its hard-earned lead, it is of utmost importance that decisions, actions and features respectively that will make its members to stay happily together should be implemented.

It is no longer a rumour but a verified truth that Mr Seun Osewa has decreed that no topic about contests, competitions or debates here should grace the front page of this lovely forum any longer. This decree has led to no creation of awareness, information and publicity for those value-adding events.

I would not know if such decree was been considered for deliberation among the moderators and unanimously agreed to promulgate this 'No front page' law but I want to state that I know without mincing words that this is not the best for Nairalanders.

These events you have disallowed Nairalanders from getting to know about are life impacting if you ask me. How? The Nairaland Educational Debate in the Education Section opened a new chapter in my own personal life and spurred me to realize I have a hidden potential in me. Come to think of this, if I had not known about the debate, who knows maybe I would have left this vibrant stage of my life without realizing this. Thanks to some peeps here that I am following through whom I got to know about the debate.

To make sure I don't give boredom a chance to breed on this letter, I will stop here but I want the Admin, Moderators and True Members of this great community to please ponder on this and share their opinion on this nice idea. It will be a nice development if Mr Seun Osewa and his moderators can please reconsider this at the interest of Nairalanders. Please don't let us derail this thread or turn it to a war/insult zone.

Personally, I would have preferred to write this letter and forward it to Mr Seun but due to many letters that some Nairalanders have alledgedly forwarded to him in the past through e-mail and yet unattended to, perhaps due to too many mails he receives, so I decided to make this an open discussion.

Thanks.

ComputersRe: Major Things To Consider Before Buying A Laptop by Davo93(m): 7:55pm On Dec 30, 2013
@Okija, Kindly explain what you mean. Are you suggesting that is not good?

My desire for HP is due to their good quality at reasonable prices.
ComputersRe: Major Things To Consider Before Buying A Laptop by Davo93(m): 7:46pm On Dec 30, 2013
Olugbenger: HP 2000-2d07EIA, HP 2000-2d05SE, HP Pavilion 15-e000sia, HP Pavilion g6-2243cl , HP Pavilion 15-e000se

Those are the best I3 laptops available in Nigeria within that range. The Hp 2000 for as low as 71,000 to the pavilion series which is as high 85,000. The design, keyboard, speaker quality etc varies though but all of them possess at least

*500G hard disk space
*4gig RAM
*I3-3110m, almost the most powerful I3 variant. I3 differs a lot.
*Intel HD 4000, extremely good and recent intel intergrated graphics card; much more better than the previous intel HD 3000 found on some I3 variants.
*windows 8
Etc

make your choice wisely. wink
GOD bless you sir! I think i will be opting for one of those Pavillion series you suggested.

snoopy: Thought it was the other way round as well, the topic is not very definitive as to the stand of the supporting and opposing sides. I think the original stand should be communicated to the other side as well, else I forsee a mix up...would be a disaster to have both sides post their essays agreeing with each other on debate daygringrin
Abi oo grin

Thanks Fynestboi for the clarity. This means OAU is against ASUU while UNN is against FG.

Yes please. Concerning the UNN vs OAU topic, does it mean the supporting side will blame FG while the opposing side blames ASUU? It's not too clear to me please. Thanks

@Fynestboi, As Snoopy rightly said, Fix the dates first and as per timing, if i am given the opportunity to choose, i can pick like 8pm-11pm but i wouldn't know if that will go well with my able co-debaters. I mean for Friday now.
