The Belgians really must've been infuriated. To think a colonialist country with one of the best teams (on paper) would loose to a people they mostly consider as immigrants who have their players spread across Europe (and often times in the lower tiers of their leagues), and watch them celebrate on their refuge nation's soil was like an insult to their injury. .. but they fail to realise that it's the beauty of football.  1 Like |

Why not re-denominate the Naira by a hundredth, like Gov Soludo proposed, when he was the CBN Governor? .. it wouldn't neccessarily strengthen the Naira but it saves the hassles of a false sense of belief of carrying huge amounts of money. Imagine a minimum wage worker being paid 3 '10 thousand' notes as salary. It feels dehumanizing. Rather I'd suggest making the 100 naira note the highest denomination. |
