coogar: liverpool? athletico? Whats good about these clubs? Did he win any titles for these clubs? Strikers who came good at Chelsea includes Anelka, Drogba cos we play to chicharito's strengths. he gets good service from tireless/selfless united players. . . . .i cannot say the same @ chelsea.
was shevchenko shyte too? was kezman? was crespo? chelsea are a useless side. only drogba justified the £24m chelsea paid for him and he took him 3 seasons to find his feet. Sheva was old and past it when they bought him, even when he returned to Milan he couldnt perform like the Sheva of old Kezman was he good? Where else did he perform outsude PSV? What makes him better than Alfo Alves who had the same Eredivisie pedigree Crespo too was getting old at that time |
Eze Ndi Igbo,
Ekene'm ghi!
Why are we still walking down this path of my ethnicity! Fine, I accept the title of Efulefu or Osu! Heck! I am not even Nigerian, what does that account for?! I DO NOT GIVE A Bleep IF YOU and OTHERS DONT FEEL I AM IGBO ENOUGH! (Eze pardon my Ohafia). That dosent change the colour of the blood in my veins nor the amount in my account!
On the issue of my ethnicity, Eze Onlytruth, If you were born to a Normad fulani jihadist family sir, would you have the nerve to stand up to your people and call them what they are "Terrorists"?! Or would you stick with the "pride", tow their line and join then in their massacre of the infidels?! Would you be able to stand on your own beliefs and speak out against what you FEEL is wrong?!
If you really feel that the Declaration of Biafran Independence from Nigeria was not an indirect declaration/invitation to war, then Eze Onlytruth, you have dissappointed me. I guess you like Ojukwu thought that it would be that easy to create a new country. Well! Eze, these are a few examples of how autonomous secessionist movements such as that of Biafra is an invitation to war;
I could keep giving you several instances where "AUTONOMOUS" secessionist movements have been crushed by the use of force or where autonomous secessionist movements have succeeded by persevering through a long war. But one thing you find that is common to all autonomous secessionist movements is VIOLENCE. SO I'm pretty certain that Ojukwu expected that war. Thats why he built his bunkers in Umuahia.
Sut so you understand something, The fact that he took the decision to seceed despite being ill prepared for the battle that he knew would follow is pardonable, what I find unforgivable remains the fact that he wasnt ready to die for the movement. You can forgive that, I cant get over that fact. And the fact that he never did apologise for that war and bailing on us, I also find very annoying. I am entitled to my anger. You are entitled to call him the second son of God. But I am yet to come across any Igbo constitution that says "You must like, love or adore" Ojukwu to be certified Igbo. So Eze, with all due respect to the office you occupy, your opinion about my ethnicity does not matter or have any consequences whatsoever.
If you all love him so much, rename Nnewi after him. But dont try to force me to like him or try to gag me from speaking out my opinions about the man. If he were a Northerner, I would still call him a brave power-drunk coward.
Once more, my regrads Eze Ndi Igbo!

Jarus: 2011 OFFICIAL POLITICS SECTION POSTER OF THE YEAR As 2011 rolls to an end, we say thank you to everyone that has contributed to making this section tick in the outgoing year - from the active contributors to the passive readers even to the unregistered guest viewers.
As has become traditional on Nairaland, we are organizing this year's edition of OFFICIAL POSTER OF THE YEAR AWARD. For those who are new here, this event started officially in 2009 but that of Politics Section was not officially recognized in 2009 because of a flawed process. In the hotly contested 2010 edition, Dapobear won the prize, beating Katsumoto by one vote while Kobojunkie emerged 2nd runners-up: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-535083.0.html
Now it's 2011 edition? Who will take the prize? Will Dapobear retain it? Will Katsumoto do better? Or will the ever-present Kobojunkie stage a surprise comeback? Or will the new 'men of the moment' take the gong? You decide!
Rules: 1, Only 1 nomination per user 2, Any nominee that has been banned or warned twice this year will be disqualified 3, Moderator cannot be nominated in his/her section but may be nominated in other sections 4, Nominee must be active in the section 5, Nominee must be forum rule-abiding and not a trouble-maker(passionate defence of one's opinions is no trouble-making though) 6, Top 3 nominees will be up for poll for another 2 weeks, where the winner will be announced at the expiration of the voting 7, Where there is tie, the mod reserves the right to either choose one or extend the nomination/voting by 24 hours
NOMINATION ends on December 15, 2011 VOTING starts December 16, 2011 and ends December 30 where the winner will be announced.
Start nominating
UPDATED 15 DEC 2011 BRIEF CITATION OF THE FINALISTS
1, GBAWE: Gbawe joined Nairaland in 2009 but hugged limelight in 2011 in the heated run-up to 2011 elections - one of the most epochal periods in the history of Nairaland Politics Section. He started as a strong defender of Ribadu candidacy but went beyond to be the strongest defender of ACN and their leader, Bola Tinubu, on Nairaland. He writes well and presents his arguments with logic. He is not known for insulting - a quality that is scarce in this part of Nairaland. He argues passionately about his convictions. For this he commands a good following in the Politics Section of Nairaland, especially among the 'progressives' and 'opposition'.
2, ONLYTRUTH: Recently crowned Eze Ndigbo Nairaland, Onlytruth has been on Nairaland since 2009 and has become the rallying point for his people. He is more known for his defence of his people, but unlike many others, does so without breaching the rules - a quality that is rare on Nairaland.
3, KATSUMOTO: Katsumoto is the only finalist last year that still made it to the final again this year. He lost the award by one vote to Dapo-bear in 2010. Highly respected on the politics section for his analytical prowess and debating skills. He is very visible in serious topics, marshaling facts to buttress his arguments. His choice of words in his comments is another strong point for him. Katsumoto's main turf are arguments that border on Igbo, Biafra and related issues. He is a respected voice in those areas. |

Chelsea have been patient with the 27-year-old, but the feelers are already out in Europe to find Torres a top club to take him in January. The World Cup winner has been a disaster since moving to the Bridge and is now behind Didier Drogba and Daniel Sturridge in the pecking order. He did not even get off the bench against Manchester City on Monday night and stayed immobile in the dug-out as the rest of the substitutes, along with the backroom team, celebrated Frank Lampard's late winner from the penalty spot.
The arms go up, the roars bellow out. Manager Andre Villas-Boas leads Chelsea’s celebrations as the final whistle blows on Monday night. But take a closer look, one player doesn’t appear to be in victory mode. £50million man Torres (circled) appears glum after another match on the bench watching his team-mates shine.

The club will have to take a massive financial hit on the most expensive player in British football history, but they have almost exhausted their other options. Instead they will listen to any club prepared to offer around £20m and match his huge salary demands next month. When Andre Villas-Boas became Chelsea boss in the summer he was convinced Torres could recapture the form that turned him into one of the most feared strikers in world football. The manager hoped signing Juan Mata from Valencia would improve Torres's game, but even that has failed to spark the Spaniard back to his former glories. Chelsea will listen to offers for £50million flop Fernando Torres in next month's transfer window. The £150,000-a-week striker has scored just three Barclays Premier League goals since his move to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool on January 31. Chelsea considered sending him on loan to rebuild his shattered confidence, but they are now prepared to sell.

Its a crossroad for them
For you to win the Republican nomination you have to go to the extreme right as much as possible
The only credentials you need to win the epublican nomination or become flavour of the month is the faunt you "I hate Obama" credentials as much as possible
They dont care if you dont know that Libya is in Africa or if the US has consulate in Iran, You dont even need to have a clue about anything as long as you hate Obama
Thats the problem Romney has been having.
As an Obama fan I want anyone but Romney cos He would give Barack a run among moderates who are quite numerous.
But if you want a Quality Presidential election, then Romney is the man.
With Newt? Obama can afford to go on vacation |
