i did try and he said its only temporary but this wierd stuff has been happening since the fourth month os our marriage he complements my cooking a whole lot and even while we dated he'd come to my place for food unannounced i just hope NwaAmaikpe finally gets sanity

Why are you so narrow minded? You didn't see the part they played in her story abi? You're only capitalizing on her inability to forgive them. So it's ok for her husband's family to abandon her while in the hospital..if she's the one that did this now, people will still talk bad about her.

It isn't all the time that you have to be bad before some people detest you. I'm not absolving you of all blames though.

I once dated a man in which 80% of his family didn't like me, My offence? Their boy is too much into me. I cared less. I later discarded their boy not based on this issue anyway.

I am married now and half of my husband's family are not into me, what I do is I keep my distance. We all used to be cordial, very cordial, but I got pregnant and had serious complications that kept me in the hospital for a month and half and they all claimed busy. They never visited the hospital, one even had the guts to ask me on phone what I did to the pregnancy. I couldn't forgive that. If I were their daughter, would they leave me to die? They're trying seriously now to make amends because they knew I never wronged them, but I just don't know how to forget that hurt. So instead, I keep them at a far distance. No family functions for me, neither do I visit, if they come, I welcome them and offer them food, shikena! Another asked to come live with us of recent, I just told my husband I don't want any trouble and that was it. I try to hide my head in my comfort zone for my own sanity. My husband has my ears 101% so it's easier for me to maintain status quo.

So OP, can you cope with issues like the picture I painted above? You may go ahead and date him if you can. If not, just take a walk.

resilient in jumping on bus? nigerians always get it wrong, fixated on the wrong things. as a kid i was thoroughly house broken by my parents and boarding school. could do all chores etc. i looked down on some more privileged kids as lazy because they did not have any skill in ironing or folding clothes. meanwhile, my future inlaws r dad ran an it business that trained people in icsa. all of them were somehow involved in it. by the time we were out of uni, these kids all had ican, icsa etc. they could not clean house to save themselves, but those house cleaning skills did not matter. today all of them are well paid, high fliers in their industries while i can still do without househelp

if you are privileged,it should not be wasted teaching you irrelevant skills. mark zuckerbergs dad bought him a pc, not a mop.
