Politics / Re: How N25bn Is Embezzled Daily Via Buhari’s TSA – Melaye By Joshua Amaugo by dBard: 5:37am On Nov 11, 2015 |
@ gunpoint, how does that take away from the issue on ground @ post..given the Nigerian propensity to usurp any good thing for personal gain, I am tending to believing this allegation. The speed @which it was implemented, might imply proper ground work to plug all necessaries wasn't done. Anyway, we'll know what and how it is by the end of the day. |

Family / Re: Will She Ever Regain Her Husband's Confidence, Trust And Respect? by dBard: 5:57am On Nov 09, 2015 |
Kimoni: Speaking from a 'young in marriage' perspective, guys (married) face the opportunity to cheat on a semi regular basis and a lot of times, it's your Faith in God and the Trust of your wife that keeps u from doing wat you'll regret..cos, some lines are rather not crossed, might be difficult retracing ur way back. I think the wife, by her actions gave him / took away that reason Not To...and now he's tasted d forbidden, how do you wean him off it The wife was terribly wrong but the husband just horribly worsened the situation. Lack of understanding in marriage is a terrible thing 5 Likes |

bigeagleeye: You're right. While wat she did was totally unacceptable and enough to break that thread that binds...but you can only resort to that which is within already. Philandering is an attitude and the earlier it gets nipped, the better. A pity that which should bind is causing a separation.. 1 Like |

RiffRaff: I agree, and I have seen SPECTRE. I think the problem is this new emphasis on his being an assassin rather than a Spy with a license to kill. Watching bond these days, u get the 'kill' aspect of the movie but not enough of the spying. Even Timothy Dalton with his high number of kills didn't come off so brash and bloodthirsty. An accomplished spy without social skills Hmmm. The Bond movies are a bit more serious like in the Dalton days, but are now more or less action movies. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: No Morality In Governance, If You Want To Be Moral, Go To Church – Amaechi by dBard: 6:44am On Nov 08, 2015 |
This is a rather disappointing statement coming from a statesman. What has morality got to do with governance? Everything. If governance was about delivering, ppl like Gaddaffi shouldn't have had any problems. One of the primary things a good leader needs is a strong moral code and those bereft of it or with flexible morals have no business being at the helm. In more developed climes, he shouldn't be able to live down this statement..here tho, it'll soon be about wailing and masturbaters. 3 Likes |

naijaboiy: Looks matter but a little bit of observation will show u the o.p is right.. A lot of good looking guys are charismatic, confident n sociable. Probably cos , due to their looks, they get used to early social interactions. Charisma vs looks?? Charisma wins, almost always. 2 Likes |

damton: I am partly of that school.. Let the people choose what works or what they're used to Adopting an 'alien' system without understanding will only lead to abuse and eventually the end product will be more or less a distortion of the form of the system. The question I always ask, Is democracy for we esp, west Africans?? |
Politics / Re: Amaechi Is Our Member, The Senate Belongs To APC Not PDP – Ndume by dBard: 6:25am On Oct 22, 2015 |
Ndume is being quite careless insinuating that Amaechi will b screened regardless of the committee's report forgetting that based on the platform of Change, of which they were elected, and d supposed intolerance to corruption, the populace is watching and how this is handled will determine how seriously we take this gov't. The screening has largely been a farce, Amaechis case is d final test. Whether screened or not, it should be done in a way that pays credence to the Change we expect |
