Forget the impeachment option!!! Saraki would never be impeached by his fellow senators!!!

Wasn't talking about impeachment.
If Saraki eventually gets indicted and is forced to resign, then elections will have to be conducted again with a PDP senator (Ekweremadu) @ d helm and That wouldn't be beneficial to d ruling party..

What you don't see is PDP abandoning him. That means Saraki has to decamp back to PDP.

10 APC senators are with him, once they see Saraki going down, they will either leave him or join him in the opposition. That will never be good for their political careers as they will be next targets.

On the contrary..
This is going to be viewed as an executive vs legislative tin which if allowed, will only lead to more issues (muscle flexing) by the executives later on.
I think a lot of senators will band with him, knowing that no tree is safe with the woodsman in the forest.
The best most of the opposition senators will do is be neutral...
Besides, there's d added complication of the PDP waiting in the wings to launch a coupe d'etat.

It's just hours to Monday sha..lets see.

Read between the lines..it's politics, so you shouldn't take statements@ face value.
If they don't think he's responsible, why d not so subtle 'threat' at the end.

Said it before in a previous thread, the senators will not sit and allow one of theirs be done away with in like manner, irrespective of party affiliation.

Let's see how it goes.

Thought the presidency said it won't interfere in the going ons at the legislative houses
Well, going by all that's happening, this should be far more interesting than G.O.Ts.

I see Saraki surviving this tho. I really don't see majority of the senators abandoning him, besides, the case against him can be argued to b flawed by law.

Romance / Re: How Can I Know About His Sexual Status by dBard: 11:59am On Sep 17, 2015
nlfan:
Dear NLers

I am in a no sex relationship with this amazing young man, he is cool and has everything I wanted in a man.

Apart from him, have always been in a no sex relationship, the last man I dated, who died in the ill fated Dana Air crash was also in a no sex relationship with me but he was more vibrant emotionally, like he will hug me tight, hold me and look into my eyes, roll his hands over me and kisses me too and sometimes I notice he will be so turn on, just that we have decided we want to wait and sometimes he will say baby i'm so turn on but I can handle it.

Now the issue I have with this one I am dating now is, he will not do any of that, all he does is look at me passionately, and if he must touch me, he will just hold my hands and play with my fingers, he can stare at me the whole day and gist with me, but I have never seen him at the point where he was turn on, whether in his face or actions, he is just there.

I know he is God fearing and can afford not to be turn on, but I am so scared, have slept in his house before, we were just like blood siblings, cook together eat and off he went to his room, no emotions or maybe a kiss to say good night and stuff, it was so neutral I feared he might not like sex or romance at all or maybe he is not all right.

Sometimes I want to bring up gist like, how far did you go with your ex, what is the most naughty thing you have done in a relationship or for love, and he will go like... I came back from work, I didn't have a car then, so I trek all the way to her house to cook for her.

And I ask, what's your most memorable sex experience, and he replied baby good night, this is not you so don't bring up the fake self, you've been talking too much to your girl friends lately I guess.

How do I get to know all these about him, have starved myself enough of sex to please God, and to be a good girl my mother asked me to be and cannot "CANNOT" and will not be able to stand a slow or bad sex experiences in marriage, the thought of this is driving me crazy

Contrary to what most peeps here are saying, I think you are Very Right to be worried.
I've been in a 'No Sex' relationship for years , so I am talking from experience.
It's really difficult for a guy that loves a girl to have that much control over himself to not show a bit of passion/ ' move body' a little.
Even if , for argument sake, he has that level of control, it's still bothersome.
Too much control in sexual matters is not so good. Passion indicates a temporary loss of control.

His unwillingness to discuss/reveal/open up about his sexual past is very wrong.
Sexual compatibility is a Very Important part of dating and it's importance in marriage cannot be stated enough.
If you are both ignorant of your sexual preferences, then you're only giving room f issues later.

The Bible says ' Adam n Eve were both naked But not ashamed'.
He needs to open up.

Disregard those telling you to try to kiss him, it might backfire.
Instead, do a background investigation on him. Talk to his exes, his friends and find out what u need to know.

....and let go of your ex. You're still kinda stuck on him.
Peace cool

This smacks of political witch hunting.

I just hope this isn't from the top echelons of the executive.

Waiting to see the Senate's counter move.

4.1kg @ 6 weeks is well within the top percentile for age.
One thing u shouldn't do is compare weights. You'll always get to know how well d baby's doing during the weigh ins @ immunization.

Please when do breastfed babies start to add weight as in get chubby? My baby was still 4.1 at 6 weeks
Family / Re: Exclusive Breastfeeding: Challenges, Criticism, Experiences & Temptations by dBard: 6:58am On Sep 14, 2015
Kudos to you for your decision.
Just want to add a couple of tins:
There's a general misconception about the growth rate of exclusively breastfed babies as compared to others. It's bin my experience, contrary to views, breastfed babies do turn out bigger and definitely healthier than the others.
Development also is said to be better, though unproven, probably cos of d increased bonding between mother and child.
It may also help regularize ur feeding earlier as d child falls into your rhythm much faster.

Breast tip pain simply indicates that you're doing it wrong. Baby suckling on ur tips alone will traumatize it and cause pain.
In Suckling, the nipples AND areola should all be in d babies mouth. This way, the pressure is less, trauma is less and u feel better.

Also, exclusive doesn't necessarily mean it always has to b suckling. There's room for expressed breast milk (with cup n spoon of course).

Constipation may occasionally occur...a simple soap n water finger poke does d trick at times but preferably, see a certified medical practitioner.

Peace

Just entered into my dictionary as one definition of irony.

@ o.p.. As has bin rightly stated, PMB is the president now, so the buck stops at his table. If he's being given credit for the improvements in power, he should,in same vein, be held responsible for d country's economic downturn.
Reading through the article, it's evident that the factors involved were , aside d falling oil prices, the investors reaction to Sanusis removal and the uncertainty surrounding the elections. The last paragraphs tho counters d supposition cos with the measures put in place by Emefiele, market forces were looking up and it was expected Nigeria will be off the watch list. For things to have deteriorated to this point lies with the man in charge.

Was ds scenario not in place b4 d ban? Was it not clear that d ban would have 'adverse effects' in d first place? Why place d country in a precarious position then recant thereby looking absolutely confused? Normal ppl always seek for and strive to achieve a stronger position/upper hand and not deliberately box oneself into weak positions due to avoidable decisions.

A listening and analytical man will carry out due diligence first before issuing and implementing any decision so he can stand by it and defend it without being backed into a corner.

If they decide to sue Nigeria for loss of earnings caused by an unsubstantiated ban is that not more avoidable loss n stress?

For those who are uninformed, the reversal was necessary because of the adverse effects of the ban on our economy.
Any listening and analytical man will toll the line of PMB.
No matter how you look at the reversal, the welfare of the people should be the Supreme law
.

The ban did not follow due process.
In gov't union interactions,as it is also in d civil service, before ANY disciplinary action/suspension/ban can be effected, probable cause has to be shown, and opportunity given f a response from d accused.
The action was hasty, the number involved was large, and this reversal in itself portrays a government not diligent enough to do it's homework before actions are taken....at least to an outside observer.

But we already know that the economic team is almost here. It will come this month if not next week.

I repeat that we are in better position than we would have been had GEJ won. We may never know what we were saved by removing PDP.

Can anyone explain how we would have survived given that loans were taken just to pay government workers in April and May?

The situation was very bad. It is now bad but the future is promising.

I don't want to get drawn into the pdp/GeJ vs PmB/apc argument.
Also, ur missing my point:
The economic experts are aware as we all are of the imminent ministerial appointments and Yet, they're still giving such gloomy forecasts.
That sincerely is worrisome regardless of our political affiliation
Politics / Re: Nigeria May Slide Into Recession As Economic Indicators Flash Red by dBard: 12:58pm On Sep 07, 2015
eaglechild:

Your first point is contradictory.

Nigeria witnessed its first true democratic change of government which made the world excited because they believed that Nigeria had attained a level of political stability.

It is a big advantage not a disadvantage for a developing economy.
Buhari failed to take advantage of that by not acting swiftly to put economic policies in place.
Oil prices have been on the decline but that was not a veritable excuse for Jonathan so it shouldn't be for Buhari.
Besides he knew (supposedly) the challenges he would be facing and still went ahead to make all the far fetched promises he did.

It is now very obvious that Buhari never had a clue what it would take to turn the nation around.

Your first point is the same thing I was saying.
It was a big advantage that should have been taken.. an opportunity we allowed pass us by....and investors are watching and taking notes. The confidence isn't there anymore n dey won't watch forever.

I am not being economical with the truth, dear. Take it that even if the president had revealed any economic policy in the last three months, it would not have affected the figures you see in that report for the simple fact that those figures represent the first six months of the year. His new policies (had he made them known b4 now) may only have impacted in real life but the data will still not be known until around October or November.

How do you mean? He was in charge of a month out of three months. Do you think it's fair to appropriate that result to him?

It could have been sustained if the president chose not to clear the mess of the last govt. However, not clearing the mess would have prevented him the opportunity to know the true state of affairs in each of the ministries.

The downward trend is surely worrisome but I repeat, they belong to the first six months of the year. And five of those months were for Jonathan's/PDP's.

Things will surely improve as soon as we have competent and credible ministers.

A temporary set back now is better than a calamity that awaited had PDP won the last election.

Point taken...but don't forget also the forecast for the remaining quarters which if it's anything to go by, doesn't reflect confidence of both the international community and investors in the government.. and they appear quite bleak to the populace.
The increasing government involvement in the economic and financial systems, a fallout of the 'anti-corruption' stance, is another thing. It'll be seen as inimical to the free market environment necessary for business growth. These might be responsible f d dark clouds forecasters are seeing.

PMB isn't going to be able to continue the way he's bin going. The earlier an economic team is put in place, the better.

Did you have doubts about your spouse before your wedding?

Did you meet someone amazing and you wanted him but decided to go ahead and marry your spouse?

How do you feel about the marriage now? Do you feel you did the right thing?

I'm in my mid 20s and I'm getting married next month, we've been together for almost 5years. He is the love of my life and I've never doubted my love for him or the fact that I wanted a family with him. He's got everything I want in a man.

The problem is we started having issues about 6 months ago, we stopped talking like before and we are completely disconnected now especially on my end but we're still going ahead with the marriage plan and I still want to marry him.

I met another guy I am really attracted to and we've been talking about a lot. He knows I am having issues with my man and I can't tell him we are planning to get married.

I'm having doubts about my man now, I'm confused, I feel I'll be happier with this new guy, I'm thinking it's lust but it's getting more complicated. Should I go on with the wedding?

Feel free to talk sense into my head, I need to hear hard truths.

It's like leaping off a skyscraper, if you didn't have doubts, you wouldn't be normal.
Projecting those doubts unto a new fellow is the common albeit Very Dangerous result of those doubts.

You need to keep reminding yourself of why he has been the one for these number of years, and remember, It MAY BE THE SAME GRASS, BUT IT ALWAYS APPEARS GREENER OVER THE FENCE.

More importantly, Sort out that lingering, persistent issue with your fiance.
Marriage is already enough hard work for you to allow little resentments that Will end up causing Big problems in your marital life.
