Family / Re: Why (married) Women Cheat: A Married Man Goes Undercover On Ashley Madison by dBard: 3:50am On Aug 25, 2015
Women are Women first and wives and mothers second is a phrase every man should keep in mind, But...
In reading the article, I can't help but feel disgusted at the selfishness of the women in question. A married man's priority tends t change once a family starts. He most times tends t focus on making sure he has enough t meet d needs, thus leading to more career motivation, more diversification@work etc.
The question is if this is necessarily a bad thing? No.
If women werent too selfish, they would recognize that the passion they so crave is still there, same intensity, just that the 'color' has changed.
A man mite not buy flowers n chocolates anymore, but he still makes sure every need of the wife is taken care of, that in itself is Romance.
On d flip too, same can be said that the effort bin put in by d women in searching f dat slippery spark could have best bin put in t strengthening that connection they so crave
Relationship is dynamic and it's best wen both parties recognize that.
Finally, guys sha. Take time off often t re razzle ur wives t avoid stories that touch.
Peace cool

Politics / Re: US Senator Leahy Blasts Buhari by dBard: 8:32am On Jul 25, 2015
The USA has a huge bargaining chip over Nigeria; army training, logistics, weapons sale and maintenance especially in d face of d growing Boko Haram threat and they'll not fail to use it to get Nigeria to fall in line. Especially now they don't need our oil, but d gov't needs
them to stabilize the economy(dollar).
GEJ saw dis and turned East. PMB tho has put himself in d spot by not having an alternative, disregarding d East and focusing West. His statement too was a diplomatic faux pas that shouldn't have been made. Senator Leahys words are weighty n has effectively shut d door on military aid n with it, further economic consideration and now it's left to see the kind of balls the government of D day possess.

Please don't ever add Jonathan to anything good jor!. How can a government SMUGGLE $9M into another SOVEREIGN country to buy arms from the SAME sovereign country without the sovereign country's knowledge? ? Does that make any sense? ?Jonathan is the epitome of INCOMPETENCE!!!!

With most avenues for Legitimate sales from countries, most of them U.S allies, blocked, how else would u have expected them to go, if not through arm contractors.
The apache sale that was blocked, was from a U.S ally, Israel.
Arm sales also come with lil benefits; training, maintenance etc, which those countries were unwilling to provide B'Cos of the U.S sanction.

If it wasn't political, the cash seizure, why was it suddenly released soon as government changed hands, or do u believe 'the good faith' bullshit the S.a gov't came up with.

Come correct bro, PMB has suddenly put his foot in it, let's see how he handles it.

PROVACATEUR:
GEJ was going Eastern Europe and the Orient in search of weapon but APC were propaganding BH with the help of US because of US policy against Russia and China. The same US has turned them down leaving them empty handed because I'm sure PMB has terminated the whole military contract GEJ entered into

I laugh wen ppl talk so ignorantly on threads.
The American body language immediately after PMBs meeting with Obama showed something had gone amiss. It's a pity PMBs hopes has been dashed n now, he's left to face what GEJ went through but with a lethargic army and an ISIS affiliated, resurgent boko haram.

Unfortunately, PMB had, in his western disposition, completely disregarded the affiliations GEJs gov't had made with the East, and to them he now has to turn and only time will tell how that will turn out.

Not particularly good @d link thingy, but these are links to statistics based on researches done.

You can also look up morality and fashion, divorce rates, sexual perversions, average age of first sexual contact (about 12-14 in d U.S shocked shocked) etc and compare Africa vs d West.

GeneralShepherd:

You have still not said how Africa is more.moral than the.West. With all the killings, or the raping of young girls? Who defines this morality you speak of?

In as much as I do understand that we are conservative as Africans but to say Africa is the last moral frontier of human sanity is a joke.

Take a look at the level of corruption in almost all African countries and.tell me about morality.

Morally, Africa is light years ahead of the West. I don't even need to give examples... put on d t.v, pick up d papers, open blog sites and Ur practically slapped in the face with it.

I would have just ignored your mention, but no, let me tell you this: Don't conclude on people you don't know. You don't know me, I don't know you. How do you mean I probably haven't raised a pet before? Listen, you don't raise people the way you raise animals. And, as I speak to you, I have two very gigantic dogs (Gaddafi and Nani) who are five and four years old respectively.

I'm in my twenties, and my father had never raised a hand on me, and I'm not the worst of children.

This whole thing sometimes, is in the mind. Some people (like you) already have this at the back of their mind that "we are Africans" and so, we must use force on our children. You can get the best out of your children without the use of force, you just have to believe it, and get ready from the beginning.

You that's always panel beaten like a Hyundai car involved in a highway accident, and the whites who are brought up without force, look at your both lives; how do you think you're better than them?

How are they better than us
Are we talking economics here or the general society??

Question for you, Africans keep running abroad'cos of D favourable living conditions, but Why do they (majority) choose to bring up their children in the 'African way' rather than follow the e.g of the society they live in
Family / Re: Opinion: Stop Using Physical Force On Nigerian Kids by dBard: 7:16pm On Jul 19, 2015
Funny, I was just having a discussion with a colleague about child discipline roughly30mins ago.

@generalshepherd..
First of all, there's a difference between discipline and abuse (physical or verbal), and that distinction should be made clear.

Looking@ d state of the Western society, would you seriously advocate we follow their footsteps
The culture of permissiveness, d moral decadence, d general abuse of 'freedom', I think I would rather stick with 'the way of my fathers'.
Schools these days have started adopting the'no hands' approach to discipline and suddenly we have started having a situation where that culture of respect is getting lost.
There's even a thread t that effect here in the Family section.

'Spare the rod, spoil the child' is a Biblical directive, it hasn't changed.

Research says this, research says that, Yet New researches keep coming out, some of which negates the old researches.

Like someone said, Africa IS the last moral frontier for human sanity.

It was what I was tryna say on the other thread by midolian.. The DSS shouldn't be behaving like the DSS during jonathan regime which was for pure political witch hunting..

I believe dasuki might be guilty of misappropriation of security funds and should be investigated thoroughly, but not the way the DSS are going about with it.. I would have prefer they remain silent and wait till they have indisputable evidence against him before releasing a press statement, that way people won't see it as a vendetta.

They just blew it in my opinion.
Even if there were such allegations against him, the 'Bull in china shop' approach has totally turned public sympathy towards him and made a joke of whatever case they had.
