Politics › Re: 5 Things That IPOB Should Know About South South Minorities. by DCmonster: 1:41pm On May 16, 2020 |
Amarabae: Ndewo nu O. Oriaku Amarachi is back again to preach the gospel of truth and Igbo interest. why do you hate Ipob? someone asked me in inbox mail,I replied that Ipob extremism is now a big issue in Igbo nation especially on the relationship between us and our neighbouring ethnic groups. for me its either a restructured Nigeria or A homogenous Igbo only country. Dear Ipob, there are few things I want to teach you about south south, . 1, Stop questioning the meaning of south south, stop asking if it is found in geographical compass, its non of your business south south is a geopolitical zone created for the southern minorities the same way North central was created for northern minorities. case closed, the southern minorities are OK with the geopolitical zone created for them, so stop losing sleep over it. . 2, South South are not interested in recreating Eastern Nigeria region, it is hypocrisy for you to be angry with Britain for creating Nigeria yet you want to recreate an Eastern region that was created by the same Britain. the SS minorities who were in the old eastern region fought to have their own states just like the Midwest minorities fought to have their own region and it was all granted, I don't see the Yoruba's disturbing the Urhobos,Isokos, Itsekiris,Binis,Esans etc over bringing back the old western region, so You Ipobs should allow the ijaws,Efiks,Ibibios,Ogonis etc to have some rest, Eastern Nigerian region is gone forever, Move on. . 3, Yes there are Igbo speaking areas in south south like the area(Asa area of Oyigbo) I am from in Rivers, we were carved out from the old IMO state in 70s into Rivers , I have seen a lot of argument over the Igbo identity of Ikwerres, Etches,Omumas,Ekpeyes,Aniomas,Ndoni etc for me, it should up to these people to accept whether they are Igbo, not you guys always rubbing it in their face, we should not be emotional over this, the ikwerres,Ekpeyes,Ikas and Omumas have strongly over time denied being Igbo, I think letting them be is the right thing to do, when Germany lost the war, many Germanic tribes in Austria,Switzerland etc denied being Germans, yet Germany left them and rebuilt them selves, my point here is that An Emeka from Enugu south east should not be on internet shouting that there are Igbo indigenes in South south rather it should be the so called "Igbo indigenes in south south" affirming their Igboness through their socio cultural organisations., using one or two people from there claiming Igbo is not enough , majority is the key factor here. am sure you now understand my no,3 very well. . 4. SS minorities Don't need the Igbos to survive Same way Igbos don't need them to survive, Before the white men came, These minority tribes were living independently and doing fine ,same thing with the Igbos, So if anything happens to Nigeria, they can stand as a country of their own. look at Akwa ibom and Cross River, these two states can comfortably be a country of their own (AkwaCross) The Ijaws can stand as an independent country with their land and waters even the 4 LGAs of Ogoni can be an independent country etc same way South EAST Can stand as an independent country, Only a foolish tribe will leave Nigeria to join another mini Nigeria , IPOB let them be, shouting referendum up and down makes you look stupid, OK let's analyse it , referendum is a yes or no poll conducted in the area of agitation , if majority vote yes, the no voters have no option, so you want to bring referendum to minorities who never asked you for one so that you will use your huge population to win them , do you that that Mbaise people votes YES votes alone will swallow the whole Ogoni people's NO votes, you fool no one IPOBs , The minorities are not interested in Biafra or your referendum. . 4. Also the regular "North are controlling your oil" line is now boring Don't cry more than the bereaved IPOb, its none of your business or are you jealous that North are controlling their oil and gas instead of you! there are crude oil in Abia and IMO, if FG okays an oil expolrative search in the South east, more oil wells will be discovered in Imo state and Anambra state especially in Ogbaru LGA that is close to Ndoni, Natural gas are confirmed to be in Anambra and Imo state, so remove your eyes on who controls the oil and gas of these SS minorities, In fact they will rather allow the North to control it than Igbos, that's the bitter truth. . let me stop here, Agitating for a heterogeneous Biafra with the SS minorities is an error and am happy that many Igbos are beginning to agree to this fact . I stand for a restructured Nigeria or a homogenous Igbo only country. Ndewo nu. Oriaku Amarachi Acharaugo di ya 1 of Igbo nation. I love you all Just because you are riding an aboki or afonja Muslim dick doesn't mean you have to drag the Igbos into your stupidity. I knew a girl like you in Nigeria who rode Yoruba dick for years and got dumped. She is now so bitter that everything IPOB irritates her. You are exactly like her. Get back at those who hurt you and not the IPOBs who are fighting a reasonable battle of self determination. |

I struggle to type this. Recently I do not know what went wrong in the relationship with my lover. All of a sudden, he stopped replying my texts frequently. He Stopped giving me long replies and hardly messages me unlike before. I tried to ignore it because I felt he was passing through something he does not want to share with me. I know it might sound awkward. He hardly tells me what is bothering him. Yet I asked him what was wrong but he did not tell. This makes me sick and sometimes I feel useless in his life. Maybe I should move on. I can not continue like this anymore. These days I am unproductive. I need someone to talk to. I am tired of being shadowed and ignored. I can stay without a man in my life but I really want a friend to pour my heart to. Someone that shares talks with me and vice versa. I do not want a sexual relationship either. Does anybody get me? Depression is gradually catching up on your fat ass, seek for help ASAP before it's too late. You need a SHRINK, not NAIRALANDERS. |

Of course I am doing it myself, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with my man doing it for me. If you are broke and do nothing for your babe give her some space.

Politics › Re: The Truth And Lies Of Nigeria 20 Pounds After The Civil War by DCmonster: 8:09pm On May 04, 2020 |
[s] MinorityOpinion: Ever thought of how the Igbos transform themselves from 20 Nigeria pounds to become one of power house of Nigeria economy?
Here we are going to evaluate the truth and lies of 20 pounds myth.
First of all, what led to the whole scenario of 20 pounds? Your guess is as good as mine, NIGERIA CIVIL WAR.
The 20 pounds accusation was championed by Chinua Achebe, he accused the Federal Government of Nigeria of incapacitating and impoverishing all the Igbos after the war by not allowing them to have access to their pre-war savings in Nigeria bank.
The twenty pounds was as a form of RECONCILIATION GESTURE not compensation.
For those who were too young to remember, the Civil War did not start in a sudden manner. There were days, weeks and months leading to the civil war when people from different regions were packing and moving to their homelands. At such time of uncertainty, no one could predict what was going to happen and common sense would dictate that each and everyone would be in control of his or her resources to be able to survive when the war broke out. This would mean that before an Igbo man would leave Kaduna, Lagos or Ibadan, he would have withdrawn all his money before crossing into Biafra. This would not just be dictated by common sense, survival instinct would have also required and demanded it too.
By far the most important strategy of the Biafrans in their quest for foreign exchange, was the conversion of their holdings of Nigerian currency. There have been differing reports as to the amount of Nigerian currency in circulation at the time of secession, but when Nigeria’s Finance Commissioner announced on 30 December 1967 that the new Nigerian notes would replace the current notes in circulation between 3 January and 22 January 1968, he also stated that some £37 million had been seized by the rebels in the east. The Biafrans, on the other hand, claimed that by the end of January 1968 they had collected more than £53 million. However, yet another estimate stated that £30 million were circulating in Biafra at the point of secession, with further reserves of £40 million being held in the bank vaults of the Central Bank in Enugu and Port Harcourt. Whatever the actual amount was, following secession large amounts of currency were quickly taken to Europe where they were added to a further £6 million that had been transferred prior to secession, and steps were taken to convert these Nigerian bank notes into foreign exchange.
Where did all the money went?
The Igbos were given the money out of the RECONCILIATION GESTURE of the Government. It would be outrageous and can lead to the bankrupt of Nigeria if we had exchanged our Nigerian pounds for worthless Biafran pounds.
Instead there was a policy reconciliation, reconstruction and rehabilitation of 20 Nigerian pound despite the fact no Biafran kept their money with Nigeria before the war.
The perfect comparison is this.
In conclusion, the Nigeria government owes no one money, afterall 20 pounds was RECONCILIATION GESTURE which the Biafrans were not entitled to in the first place.

Politics › Re: Igbo Need To Change Approach In Their Interaction With Other Regions. by DCmonster: 1:58pm On May 01, 2020 |
[s] muykem: There's a big different between Igbo and other major ethnic groups in Nigeria. We have three set of people in each ethnic groups, illiterate/masses, elite and politicians. The elite are custodian of a region agenda and politicians do study their body language to make a political decision while masses follow. For example the northern elite in build up to 2015 were no longer comfortable with GEJ as a president and their politicians in all political parties understood the signal. South west also send strong signal to Nigeria recently which didn't go down well with northerners elite because they also understood the implication of all Yoruba nation standing with one voice on issue of Amotekun. I tell you, it's beyond of providing security, 2023 interest is writing all over it. Now come to south east, their business success has eliminated elite among them, illiterates are the one showing the region direction without any thoughtful agenda. Let reason together 1. If you want to secede from Nigeria, you need understanding of other region to buy into your idea. 2. If you want power, you need other regions to trust you. What's is Igbo agenda and how are they intend to achieve it? [/s] Afonja headslamming morons again! |
