Speculation everywhere.
Buhaha. You are not even sure of your explanation.
Why do you think your Excellency is the same as most excellent?
I no fit laff. Guessing game.

Bible did not say theophillus had a position in the first place.
Bible was always clear on people who were in positions of authority eg pharaoh, Caesar, pontius pilate, herod, Agrippa, festus etc.
Bible did not say theophillus was governor or president. You just assumed because they address governors and presidents your Excellency in this 21st century.

In a nutshell, all you have just said is just your assumption based on a present day social concept.
That guy just fell my hands again. He is really a dyed-in-the-wool Speculator General. Look how he just said "he must have been an officer after initially claiming that the book of Luke records it categorically that Theophilus resigned from the army. He has shifted goal post to and fro everywhere. It is just left for him to lift the goalpost on his head.
Even his fellow JWs are ashamed of him hence they've deserted the thread.

No wonder, you can continue giving them the hard nuts to crack after all they feel they have reasons for avoiding conversation with JWs. Now they can see that they have nothing to say against true faith. The other time i saw a post from an atheist, many churchgoers were ridiculed because they lacked wisdom but when i came in i told them i am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and promised all the churchgoers that i'll silence all the atheists on that thread. They mocked me saying i was just bragging but to their shocking surprise, all those atheists were silenced. And guess what happened, the churchgoers who have been ridiculed with all their beliefs now started condemning me even calling and begging the atheists to come back for their right not to allow a Jehovah's Witness dominate their thread. cheesy cheesy cheesy All the atheists that has been commenting in that podium kept mute as if they no more exist. It was the churchgoers that i wanted to help to see reasons with true Christianity that started accusing, criticizing and condemning me for saving their ass from atheists who have been ridiculing them and their Pastors. wink wink wink
See boasting and self glorification!
A true follower of Christ does not boast and give himself praises for what God supposedly inspired in him.
However, those atheists did not come across a highly learned Christian.
Moreover, debating with an atheist does not require biblical referencing since he doesn't even believe in it. It is therefore an exercise in philosophy and logic which any pro-theism graduate of Philosophy can easily handle. So why boast with an umbilically based argument you won?
I have told you of a thread in which JWs were messed up completely.
Meanwhile, with all your boasting about knowledge you have not deemed it fit to address some hard biblical references given so far to prove that the doctrine of being apolitical and non-military involvement are heretic?

I am very sure he stopped being a military man after accepting Christ, he bacame a soldier for Christ, he is not the only one who did it, Even THEOPHILUS did it.
"I am very sure..."? Conjecture! Why didn't John The Baptist require those his guest soldiers in the wilderness to resign from the military when they specifically asked him what exactly they needed to do to be saved?
Where is Theophilus' account of leaving the army on conversion recorded in the Bible?

The started by saying they were ACCUSED, it did not say they were convicted, let us wait for the CONVICTION, it is when they get to court that we will know who did what. This os mere accusation. okay?

I used God sometimes because of the people I am dealing with, but in front of Authorities I use the name Jehovah.
So which historical account ever said the Catholic priests and Hutu Catholics were convicted of sponsoring The Crusades and Tutsi killings respectively? They were mere accusations as well.
If you can't accept the self confession of one of the culprits, is it his conviction by the courts you'll accept? Or you think it is not that very confession the courts will rely on to convict him?
As long as you see the entire world outside the Watchtower society as under the Devil's authority then you should use 'Jehovah' all the time as you are indirectly dealing with the authorities always.

All of these they know my brother but they're just happy that one of Jehovah's Witnesses is WASTING his precious time on them since they have no impetus to go preaching and teaching from house to house as Jesus commanded. So they derive satisfaction from ARGUING with us the same way Pharisees had no impetus to go and preach but love criticizing Jesus and His followers who are doing God's work. Just say "thank you" and walk away, don't give them that pleasure of audience that they're seeking, let them go and do the preaching and teaching work if truly they are Christians.
Just like you people don't face your own doctrines but keep criticizing the doctrines of others the way the Pharisees never minded their business but made Jesus their headache.
You enjoy criticizing others but when others do same to you they become Pharisees.
Your house to house preaching has no basis in the scriptures. It is not even aimed at winning souls for God but at making planting hatred in people's minds against other denominations. Your Awake magazines are not complete without at least two articles criticizing other Christians and classifying them as children of the Devil. You love to share your tracts but if other Christians try to share theirs with you, you avoid it like a plague. Yet you talk of love and learning together.
You approach others with the mindset that you are better than them hence there is nothing you can learn from them. You are always busy gossiping about Catholic and other denominations in your magazines and evangelism. I can't remember when Jesus abandoned his real message of salvation and spent all his energy on gossiping continuously about his opponents. It all proves that you believe you will not expand without running others down.

Meanwhile other denominations don't ever condescend so low as to start trying to profile JWs in their sermons or evangelism. The facts are clear.
I have read periodicals of Catholics, Anglicans, Methodists, etc and have never seen a line dedicated to profiling or gossiping about Muslims let alone other Christian denominations.
It is the lazy and jobless person that has time for gossiping others hence JW is a lazy and jobless religious sect. Their claims to focusing on evangelism is rubbish. It is rather evangelicalism of gossip and competitive mindset.

A lot of things in that fake news do not hold water, First JWs Will call God's name which is Jehovah, we don't say God sent us, instead we say Jehovah sent us, BTW the article says they were ACCUSED, they were not CONVICTED, so they are innocent till proven guilty. Now we know how jealous of JW the Russian OrthodoX church is that it led them to tell Putin to ban JWs there, at the court the prosecution brought out spurious allegations against my Brothers and sisters in Russia and the allegations were all shut down, but still they banned us there, because the Russian Othodox church is the power base of Putin, so Putin will not want to anger his supporters so he odered the judges to ban JWs.
You yourself have been using God here and not Jehovah. Awake magazine uses 'God' in their publications more than 'Jehovah', so your defence above is watery and ladden with falsehood.

The article reports that one of them confessed to have shot a woman in the head.
Conviction in most cases is just legalistic formality.
If you now take cover in conviction, then which court convicted the Catholic priests you so much accuse of killing people and sponsoring The Crusades?
Which court convicted the Catholic Hutus and Tutsis you so much accuse of killing one another?
Double standards!

What human records? That Nero did not falsely accuse Christians of causing the fire that burnt much of Rome? Or that the persecution became so bad that Christians went underground? Even using some signs to identify one another without raising eyebrows of the people around them? How did the apostle I think Peter die? The one that was brutally murdered by being strapped to a horse and pulled along? Was it recorded in the Bible? But we are sure these things happened because some people witnessed it and wrote about it.
The bolded alone tells you that false records could exist. Nero falsely accused Christians and documented it somewhere. Some people believe it.
The Jewish authorities also falsely accused the disciples of bribing the guards at Jesus' tomb to allow them take his corpse away, and they documented it and there are people who believe in that account till today despite it is pure human records.
Christins should stick to the Bible rather than conflicting human records.

Lads' holidays from hell: Three Brits tell how they found themselves locked up in foreign jails for drink-driving, drug dealing...
Young mother, 21, who took a 13-year-old schoolboy’s virginity on her kitchen floor avoids jail - but judge warns her not to...
When the pair were arrested, Egorycheva was armed with two axes (file photo)
Two twisted Jehovah's Witnesses have been arrested as suspected serial killers, accused of murdering 13 people during a nine-month killing spree in Russia.
Claiming to be on a mission from God, Vladimir Gurianov, 44, and Elvira Egorycheva 46, hacked, shot and bludgeoned their victims in a case that left even hardened Russian detectives shocked.
The pair were finally spotted in a supermarket in a suburb of the city and arrested. By then they were on nationwide search lists and their photographs had been widely circulated in the region.
When they were searched Egorycheva had a revolver, two axes, an electric-shock device and a rope in her belongings.
Another gun and a knife were found in Gurianov's jacket.
Gurianov - who locals said had 'mad eyes' - and Egorycheva first met at a Jehovah's Witnesses sect meeting 16 years ago.
When they were reunited late last year, Egorycheva allegedly told him she had a vision and they must travel to the Volga region to carry out God's wishes.
She said: "God wants us to go to Nizhniy Novgorod and cleanse the world of sinners".
A neighbour said: "They were very odd. He called her "mother" or "Princess Elena". She called him "my son, Prince Mikhail".
"Gurianov used to say they had a certain mission. No-one took them very seriously but then the killings began."
The first victim was a fortune teller Ludmila Kostina, 51, with whom they made an appointment after seeing her advert in a local papers.
A day after the first murder they went to another fortune-teller, Nina Mashtakova, 66, who they killed before stealing valuables.
One victim was killed around January 10, when Gurianov answered an advert advertising Pekingese puppies.
A 17-year-old boy, returning home, found Gurianov killing his mother, who only managed to scream: "Run, boy!"
Gurianov later boasted to detectives about one particularly brutal slaying.
He said: "I shot at the head of this woman, but she was still alive. I shot her a second time and she fell down, but just as I was digging a grave for her I realised she was still alive and just watching me. So you'll understand I had to stab her."
Also in January this year, Gurianov, a convicted rapist, and Egorycheva met a 17 year-old girl by the garage complex in the city's outskirts.
Police believe the couple stopped the girl, and Egorycheva told her: "Stop, sinner! I, Princess Elena, and my son Prince Mikhail, have been sent by God to punish you!"
Gurianov then allegedly raped the girl, killed her with a hammer and buried her next to the garage complex.
He later told investigators: "Mother explained to me that every woman killed or raped by me would become my wives in the afterlife."
They are also suspected of killing 18 year-old student Masha Maslennikova, missing since May, whose body has not been found, as well as Ludmila Kotelnikova, 45, and Elena Lomteva, 37, whose corpses were found near their holiday homes.
One detective said: "Apparently, they didn't care who became their next victim, whether it was a woman, a young girl or a child. Their only criterion was to carry out the killing in remote parts of the city where no one could help the victims."
Later police asked the pair why they killed innocent people.
Gurianov, clearly enjoying recounting his deeds, replied: "God told us to go and take the money. He said: 'Go there and take as much as you need.' So we did".
One shocked detective said: "Our hearts are bleeding.
"They seem to enjoy talking about the things they have done. They feel safe as well. What is prison to them? Even if they are sentenced to life, they'll live until old age.If ever there was a case for capital punishment, this is it."

Ignorant and proud. The wages of a military official of Cornelius rank is sixteen times the wages of a day labourer during the Roman times, was that recorded in the Bible? But we know that from people who lived at the time and wrote about it. For example Tertulian, When Emperor Nero blamed the Christians for the Roman fire and many Christians were killed, did the Bible specifically say what happened, did it mention anybody's name? But we Know for sure that it happened. Now the question remains when Hutu Catholics were busy killing Tutsi Catholics, where is the love? This seems like a million dollar question.
Mr. Man, why are you like this now? You are still quoting human error prone extra biblical sources to defend your opinion. Are you saying those accounts of history written by man are infallible as God Himself who wrote the Bible? Why are you finding it difficult to just bring out a verse of the Bible which directly or even indirectly suggests that Cornelius resigned from the Army after conversion?

Hmmmmmmmm i'm learning fast from you Sir. So "no part of the world" means you have to PHYSICALLY get out of the world huh But Jehovah's Witnesses lives virtually in almost all parts of the earth yet we are SEPARATE since we don't conform to popular customs and man-made traditions that all others indiscriminately practice. undecided Please it is the same meaning that we gave it perhaps you're misquoting us because we speak the American English. cheesy
As per the bolded, you are wrong. Being not of the world does not mean not to conform to popular traditions generally but not to conform to the popular or unpopular traditions that are evil. A tradition might be popular yet godly while a tradition might be unpopular yet very evil.
How evil or godly a tradition is not a function of its popularity or obscurity.
There are traditions which JWs conform to though obscure but evil at least by the same standards they judge others. Examples abound. In fact most of your doctrines are as evil as the popular ones you claim you don't adhere to.

Your desire to be different is just for the sake of it and not really out of a genuine commitment to godliness.

We have examined the godliness versus evil of your traditions and beliefs in another thread here on NL and your members who featured there all disappeared for lack of superior argument. You may check it up and answer the questions put before them which they deserted.

Hmmmmmmmm so the LATTER is wrong because the group will have "certain natural features which one does not have the power to alter" then why did Jesus said to Peter "whatever you bind on earth will be bind in heaven and whatever you loosen on earth will be loosened in heaven"(Matthew 16:19)) despite Peters numerous blunders? Does it mean that Peter and the eleven could set up some features that a Christian could be allowed to alter?
Being not of the world simply means you don't conform to the evil ways of majority of people in the world. But being not part of the world simply means you have to physically get out of the world... which is an impossibility ....1 Cor. 5:10
It is a very simple concept which needs no deliberate dissimulation.

The NWT deliberately distorts the KJV in the quest for dissimulation.
Examples abound.

Please Sir,i need your help. Can you explain to a lay man like me what exactly Jesus meant by that statement "They are no part of the world just as i am no part of the world"? John 17:16{New Word Translation of the Holy Scriptures "JWs Bible"}and "They are not of the world even as i am not of the world" {KJV} Because as you rightly said Jesus and His faithful followers were PHYSICALLY in the world back then so what exactly did He meant by that statement? Before the He said God should not take them out of the world, God bless you Sir!
Your caparison between the rendering in KJV and Jw's NWT says it all.
While KJV says "they are not of the world", JW's NWT says " they are not part of the world". There is a clear semantic difference between the expressions "not of" and "not part of". While the former means not to share beliefs, lifestyles, attitudes, etc with a group even though one might naturally belong to that group, the latter simply means to be a member of a group by virtue of certain natural features which one does not have the power to alter".

Bible never recorded any human being who left the military because he accepted Christ. You just made up stuff to justify your non biblical doctrines.

For me Bible yet enough for everything. Since in your religion Bible isn't enough you have to add speculations made up by worldly historians to formulate your doctrines no problem.

But in all these you are not even sure of your doctrines. They are still speculations
To them the Bible is not enough to guide them. They need extra human sources to prove that the Bible is the truth. They ignore 2 Timothy 3:16.
