The likes of Labaran Maku and co resigned their positions as Ministers before going for primaries. That is under the PDP administration we were insulting. Under the APC admin, impunity is allowed provided you lick Buhari nyash. Are you saying Labaran Maku didnt know what he was doing or was not enjoying his job as Minister As per the bolded; Hope you are not superimposing the PDP internal rules of 2015 on the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria? Please recall that when Jonathan was asked in Washington DC in 2010 why he sought to contest in 2011 in breach of the rotational agreement, his response was that PDP's constitution is inferior to that of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. |

Nigerian banks make 'easy' money hence they are not bothered doing 'REAL' banking business. When you request account closure Nigerian banks would persuade you against that as much as they can. They would even take you to see the branch manager. If you remain adamant they'll just accept the request letter from you but would never act on it hence you still keep getting alerts about your account afterwards. I had the experience with GTB and the defunct Spring Bank. |

wink2015: Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan wasted 6 years of his administration feeding thieves in his government.
He never thought it necessary to revamp the Warri seaport, Port Harcourt seaport.
Even his native Bayelsa deserve an international seaport. But Jonathan forgot himself. He rather took pleasure in attempting the impossibility of buying Northerners' sympathy towards 2015 by earmarking a whopping N500bn for Almajiri schools which are of no economic value amidst their rejection by the targeted beneficiary region. |

It would not be bad if people are targeting to buy at 50kobo or 20kobo. When there is a red flag on a stock, it is a time to move on and never look back again. I need someone to check for me when last Diamond paid dividend. It will likely top 7/10 years. Diamond has always been very stingy with dividend regardless of great or small EPS yet its price remains high. Same with Intercontinental Bank before it got swallowed by Access. |

If you might sell tomorrow, sell to enter at bottom level, because am seeing it competing with FCMB and Fidelity bank very soon at #2+. From Q3 to FY 2011 UBA had a brush with very bad results (N16 bn loss for FY 2011) quite similar to Diamond's current one, it's price plummeted to as low as N1.64 but within 2 week afterwards it had reached nearly the N2.5 which it crashed from in response to the announcement of the result. I see jijoists cleaning out on Diamond within the next three weeks |

edupedia: Stop quoting nonsense.... Here is what happened to the PDP ministers then. No matter how facts are twisted a simple check of records tend to reveal the truth
1.GEJ did not ask his ministers to resign. They did so cause rules were brought out by PDP before the elections to force them out. The media reported it thus
"Last week, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) released guidelines for its primaries ahead of the 2015 general elections. The guidelines require serving public office holders to quit by October 20 if they want to seek the ruling party’s nomination in the primaries scheduled to hold in November and December. This affects appointees like ministers and commissioners, as well as civil servants."
So their resignations had nothing to do with a president whose regime has been found to have promoted the worst corruption this country has ever had.
2. In the primaries that followed 5 of them lost leaving only Wike and Darius Ishaku of Taraba. However, it also emerged that though they resigned they were supported with money and logistics from Aso Rock. These created more problems for them such that heir opponents saw the contest as between them and Aso Rock. Their loses led to wild jubilations which was reported in Sahara Reporters as follows:
"Five out of the seven ministers who resigned from the President Goodluck Jonathan cabinet to contest in the just concluded primary elections under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have been defeated, an indication that federal might is not always enough for grassroots politics."
So, please let's stop building images of integrity where none exist. Don't mind these PDP supporters and their ignorance. They always shamelessly cook up standards by which they try to mitigate the wreckage which that thieving party of theirs wrought on the country. Ordinary electoral act is difficult for that guy to digest and unfortunately he got over 200 likes for his ignorant rant. Ironically such are the kind of persons accusing Buhari of lack of proper education. |

Esseite: I never said their was anything wrong... Americans know when either of both is neccessary as president.
Likewise in Nigeria, we felt we needed republicans to curb the bokoharam and wanton killings in 2015. But they have not solved the problem rather we have more killings in another guise. But before the coming to power of the Nigeria's version of Republicans both Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsman were operating simultaneously and independently. However, we know that we, as a country, never envisaged that terrorism would one day become part of our national lives. The phenomenon caught us so unawares that the party in power was totally helpless while the terrorists had a field day freely capturing LGAs progressively towards the South and erecting their ugly flags in them. But the Republicans have been able to at least recover those LGAs and pushed back the sect. |

Esseite: The people's governor.... There is something strong about pdp and unity no matter the motive or nature.
One can almost say: PDP is democrat while Apc is republican.. And you really think there is anything wrong being Republican in ideology? In actual fact republicanism made America what it is today as it espouses small size of government with limited interference on citizens's lives unlike the Democratic ideology which advocates large government and great control over citizens. Republicans set slaves free from their owners who were mostly Democrats. A typical American is Republican in orientation. Unlike Democrats, Republicans are factual and blunt thus have no use for political correctness. Therefore an average Nigerian with his culture of preference for lies and sweet talk would naturally resent Republicanism. |

humilitypays: The quota system makes all Nigerian governors lazy and non-creative because they know that at the end of the month, allocation will come from the federal government for them to loot and share. So generally, all Nigerian governors are not creative....and if we are to measure real performance, none of them is performing....using state allocation to construct few roads with the intention of using it to loot money without trace or raising eyebrow is not performance...these are the major jobs of all government in the world....
We should be measuring their performance by how many good paying and sustainable jobs they create, how they transform their states through initiating rare ideas and executing them to finish, etc not by building bus stops, paving roads they ought to pave in the first place, etc...
The only governors that seem working in Southwest are Lagos governors, and I want to tell you boldly that you can't use Lagos to measure a good leader because Lagos generates a lot of money, courtesy of the huge population and businesses in Lagos due to the fact that Lagos enjoyed being the Nigerian capital for many decades and is a border state surrounded by ocean.
If Nigeria was a fair nation, we ought to have Calabar sea port and Portharcourt sea port working at optimal level and serving the southsouth and southeastern regions and other regions close to them but the Hausa-Fulani-Yoruba structured Nigerian government won't allow that to happen....why To spite the Igbos and to ensure Igbos are undermined economically....
Even River Niger can be dredged to become another port....if Igbos get Biafra, you and I know that River Niger must be converted to a functional seaport.
Look at Babatunde Fashola...he thought being governor of Lagos state where everybody agrees to whatever you say and there is huge money for you to play around with any project you wish to execute is the same with handling a Nigerian federal office...ordinary Minister he can't perform....
Lastly, like I said in my first comment....majority of Igbos are fed up of Nigeria and the backwardness of the Nigerian government which have been piloted by Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas since 1969 which led Nigeria into the mess of a nation is today.....
Mind you, I love and respect Yorubas for some reasons best known to me....but when it comes to national politics, Yorubas don't do well at all...they just dance to whatever tone the Hausa-Fulani play and it has never taken Nigeria anywhere since 1969, and on this, I think the Islamic majority of Yorubas play a major role in this aspect....
I am sorry to say this...if you look around the world, most Islamic nations practicing extreme Islam are not progressive....forget Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, etc with small population being able to use the crude oil money Americans and Europeans helped them to discover and explore to build tall buildings and pave roads and be claiming developed nations, for where Are they industrious If Americans, Europeans and Asians decide to kill their economy today, it will die today because they lack creativity, they are not productive, they are not talented, they lack technology....because they spend so much time on religion and its ancient doctrines without investing in human development and technological innovation for their citizens not just employing foreigners who can leave your nation anytime.
So when I say backward religion...yes, religion is part of the problem the north is undeveloped and backward....they spend so much time and energy practicing and trying to adopt ancient barbaric religious doctrines that has never helped any nation to become a world class technologically developed nation.
Check all the tech driven progressive nations in the world...which religion do they practice Answer that....from Russia to China to Japan to USA to Canada to UK to Italy to France to Germany to Netherland to Switz to Australia to just name it..... As for the bolded: At the point of independence, Nigeria was correctly structured enough for the leaders of the subnational units not to depend on the centre but intiate creative ideas to grow their respective regions or eventual states. We made progress with it until an Igbo military officer misadventured into politics and by fiat and against general public outcry replaced that working system with this current one which encourages laziness, wastefulness, non-accountability, excessive gravitation to the centre and its attendant do or die politicking, massive corruption at the centre, Jumbo allowances for the National Assembly members, etc. His excuse was that the previous structure was promoting regional loyalty above national unity. Do we now have that national unity? Then a Middle Belter took further that Igbo man's blunder. All the other indices of our national failure have their common foundation on the alteration of that previous structure, so I didn't get it seeing you heap responsibility on Yoruba and Hausa. |
