It’s only for a while and , it will soon get mass adoption.

jaephoenix: Lol. This is seriously funny. A pharmacist told you not to take a drug because it causes kidney failure, and you disobeyed your doctor? Please you should have asked that pharmacist which drugs doesn't have organ failure as a side effect? The truth is all drugs are poison. And that includes the pills, herbs, agbo etc. Anything that alters the body physiology is a drug. The paracetamol y'all abuse causes liver failure. The ibuprofen/ibucap/diclofenac causes kidney failure. Does it mean if you take it according to doc prescription you'll have organ failure? No! First thing, the doc won't prescribe it if you already have an organ failure, and if he does, it is for short period and he has weighed the pros outweighs the cons. Bros, I am happy I didn't take that antibiotic, abeg. And I'm grateful for the Pharmacist that advised me. |

Op listen to the Pharmacist. I've had similar personal experience in the past. The doctor recommended a drug for me to buy at the hospital's pharmacy (a Federal Government Hospital for that matter).
May God bless that pharmacist. She advised me not to buy the recommended drug. I asked why? She told me it causes kidney failure and liver problems. She said it'll surely cure what I was taking it for, but a bigger problem will arise later. She advised that I google the side effects of the drug when I get home. Seeing her deep care and sincerity, I opted for the alternative drug she introduced to me right at the counter. And I was perfectly ok after taking them.
And through to her words, the side effects were very scary. It's an antibiotic. You can't take it before or after meal. You take it while eating. If you disobey, you face the repercussion immediately. I named it Satanic Drug! |

I had a friend who suffered same fate some years ago. They gave her a sack letter and refused to pay her off. Told her she'll be paid at the end of the month.
She immediately sent WhatsApp messages to us her friends narrating her ordeal. I didn't know how she did it, but the mail we later got from her made us look like a group of Lawyers. Believe me none of us were Lawyers. Based on the fact that she has hinted us of what was going on, we played along and started asking her series of questions. We told her to get the name of the CEO of the company to enable us sue him and the company for breach of contact. Remember the company was in copy of the mail.
Surprisingly that was how she was paid off.
You can try doing same, praying it works. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Am I Overreacting Or Is This Person Wrong In What She Did?? by DearGorgeous(f): 11:22pm On Jan 17, 2023 |
EriMma1: There's this person I brought into my line of job. When I brought her in, I wanted her to learn the job very well for like 6 months or a year before she can launch out to get her own clients and be on her own but she left three weeks after following me a few times. She felt she has gotten the hang of the job and started getting her own clients and has been on her own since last year. I overlooked all that. She then started calling me along the line to teach or show her somethings on the job to which I refused because she left of her own accord knowing full well she has not learnt all there is to learn.
Now, there was a place I submitted my proposal letter and after they called me. We had a chat and after a good bargain, they told me to resume the following week. Two days to resumption, they called and told me to hold on. So I felt they got a better bargain. It pained me and I told this person all that happened and what I charged them. After that, I got two other clients who paid the same amount I charged the one that flopped. So I used those ones to console myself and moved on but was still hoping that they would get back to me someday.
Fast-forward to last week. This close pal of mine I trained on the job told me she got a call. In fact she went to that same place I told her I lost an opportunity and submitted a proposal. They now called her and she offered them lower charges and she was given the job.
At first I felt stabbed because she knew about my ordeal with the same company. I just chose not to discuss it further.
Ok, last year, I confided in her that I want to review my charges with my old clients. Like those I've been with for 4 , 5 years. Today, she called saying she reviewed her charges too with her clients. O boy! Because I reviewed, you too review? I mean something she started last year, she's already reviewing just because I told her I did and my clients have responded to it. These are clients I've had for years and you've only had yours for a few months, cos she started mid last year and she's already increasing fees. Is that how things are done? Anyways I didn't try to warn her of the implication of such act.
Now, I feel this person is just trying to compete with me and I'm thinking it's high time I start concealing somethings from her.
What do you think? Is it safe to continue divulging my plans to this person or am I overreacting? You talk too much, that's your major problem Must you always confide in her? Don't you know how to keep certain things to yourself? |

Mrscarter: I am oyinbo and all that is bullcrap im sorry. All of us are not the same for one. In our households they all differ. But in majority the woman does most the house chores n cooking. The man usually nows the lawns take out the trash at. However alot of couples help each other do all of everything. Cos u love each other. But for the most part the woman does the cooking n dishes n house cleaning the laundry etc she does the food shopping the husband may drive her if she dont drive. But yeah most women i know take care of the house as a woman should n the man does the outside like mow the lawns etc. If we marry a man it's cos we love them. Some couples work some onlt one works one stays home everyones family dynamic is diff but generally speaking most households are like i explained. I live in australia so can't speak for American or Europeans. But is what it's like here. As for divorce i never ben married so can't say but I've known couples who've split up n they divide their properties n keep whats theirs. Men and women will pay child support to whichever parent has full time care of the child. It's all done fairly. Yes u do get the types if u argue shel call police but that's usually if the man is voilent or if the woman is a petty drama loving bitchhh. But for most women we do not call police on our man over anything even voilence. Most women if they argue with they man they just don't speak for days or act grumpy for days til is sorted or theyl go stay at their families place or similar. We don't just divorce over any little thing. Yes most of dont tolerate cheating and its because we love you. Usually if one party cheats the other gives u second chance n if it keeps up the other will usually leave. We aren't what you generalize us to be. We do not pull guns on our man wtf. Not saying no ones ever done it but I've never known anyone to do such. The most wel do if we mad is slam a door n not speak to you for days. Sum will tell n argue others wont. We all diff like i said but for most women we are similar in our ways. If u choose a decent woman who's loyal n she loves you she will move heaven n earth for you. If she loves you she will cook 4 u clean ur clothes make a beautiful home n work hard to help provide for u both. That's what ur average decent girl here wants. Love n family n loyalty. If u loyal n show her affection shel be ur ride or die for life Thank you for clarifying how marriage works in Australia from other parts of the West. My focus actually was on US and UK marriages. Those are the places I have contacts. You're actually the First Australian I am interacting with. Well, for pulling guns on their husbands' head, I said it based on experience, and it happened in the United States. For your female taking care of the home and the men the lawn, you're blessed. Here, it usually isn't same. Most times the wife is expected to do both. On the issue of extramarital affairs in the marriage, I tried to point out that it's not really much of an offense here than it is in the Western Countries. Even if a husband is promiscuous, the society believes that men are polygamous in nature, and can actually handle more than a woman at a time. So it's no big deal, per se. Whereas such behaviour is strongly frowned out across our continent. Ok imagine getting married to the supposedly love of your life, only to find out after many years of marriage that he actually has a love child outside wedlock. A child that might be slightly younger than your own child. Here, we're expected to tolerate such a man. My comment was just to buttress the fact that there are lots of things an African wife condones in marriage that wives across our continent cannot condone. Please make do to tell us more about Australia culture. Let's also know how many of our culture you'll also like to know. And welcome to our Nigerian Nairaland Forum. Thank you. |

The difference between 'Oyinbo' wife (OW) and Nigeria wife (NW) is that:
1. NW: Will tolerate all your bullshits and still keep a smiling face.
OW: Will point a gun direct at you when you commit a little blunder.
2. NW: Will cook, serve the food and still do the dishes afterwards.
OW: But you see our Oyinbo Wife counterparts, ehen? Either she cooks and you do the dishes after eating, or you cook and she cleans up afterwards. The husband doesn't regard his wife as a slave or a beast of burden.
3. NW: Does all the house chores in most cases, while the husband will be feeling fly.
OW: Dem no born their husbands well to sit down, fold his hands and allow his wife carry out all the domestic chores. Everything the wife does to keep the family in order, the husband do double. Washing, cooking, cleaning, running errands, buying groceries, baby-sitting, etc
4. NW: If for any reason you divorce her, society has no unwritten law that you'll pay her alimony.
OW: Half of your possession goes to her just by saying you no do again. Then after court ruling nko, Terms and Conditions for the divorce, in favour of her, will make you realize that khaki no be leather.
5. NW: Aha, very patient kind of women, tolerating their promiscuous husband at the detriment of their health and peace of mind.
OW: Will throw you out of the house immediately and sue for divorce.
6. The Nigeria Wife values her marriage so much, and would try everything within her power to make it work, even in the face of domestic violence. Just recently, through the aid of social media that Nigeria Wives have started voicing out about that evil menace.
OW: Aha! It's you the husband that collects domestic violence wotowoto, because marital power belong to the wife. GERRIT?
7. NW: Is expected to serve the in-laws whenever they're around.
OW: Practice Nuclear Family marriage set-up. Stay in your house as my in-law and I stay in mine. And if you must visit, the wives will cook, and the husbands will clean up and wash plates.
I could actually go on and on, but let me stop here for now.
N/B: Forgive any typo error, abeg I no get power to edit. |

EmiDon11: Its no longer new that we, especially girls always tag all fair guys as handsome or lightskinned girls as beautiful.

Does it mean that all lightskinned guys are handsome? One of my guy's girlfriend left him for a fair guy. That my guy is now using bleaching cream. Lol.
Pls i need answers. Why do girls, especially nigerian girls like fair guys too much? Nigerian girls, you said? I for one don't like light in complexion guys and I don't see all fair guys as handsome. When I set my eyes on any fair guy, what comes to my mind immediately is, this one be looking like a heartbreaker. Who knows how many good girls he has broken their hearts. jimmyolasun: wait is that chioma family house besides the yam wey my friend sule carry go marry him dear butterfly sukura self plenty pass this... wetin dey occur? It's not Chioma dad's house. It's an Obi, a mini hall built in the family compound for meetings of Umunna and other family engagements. Most Igbo family compound have it. Now concerning the quantity of the yam, I am sure if it was more than that, you'll still be the first person to scream that they've sold their daughter through yam tubers. Moreover, don't forget that it was during their time of mourning that the traditional marriage took place. So everything was done in low key. Please trust Davido to do the needful afterwards. He might even replicate the rites in a bigger level. Though whether, he did or not, Chioma was also married in the Registry and is now his LEGALLY married wife, and from all indications, his family really love her too. And don't forget that Davido's maternal grandmother was an Igbo woman. Thank you. |
Career › Re: What Is Your Experience As A 3rd Class Graduate by DearGorgeous(f): 1:19pm On Jan 05, 2023 |
dniceguy1: hey guys, Although, we know that "life goes on " as they say, but some life challenges doesn't seems go with these rules,or let's say it does, but after some hurdles, So, let's share our experiences as a 3rd class graduate. ............. Mine is a little bit funny cos after one or two interviews with stories that touches, I think life is about to end, Although, still in search for job WITH ZERO HOPE but I STILL thank God for his plans for my life. In a career submit I attended sometime ago, the moderator told us a story about himself, and as at then, he was a big shot in the banking industry. I don't know of now. He said he passed out of the University with a Third Class. We were all taken aback when he said that because we know that banks usually advertise for students with 2.1 and above. He said it was when he got his final result that it dawned on him that he was in on a long ride, so what he did was, instead of looking for a job, he rather enrolled immediately for his Masters. And as God would have it, the advert he was seeing would always look like this: 1. B. Sc. with Second Class Honour 2. B. Sc. with minimum of Second Class Lower 3. B. Sc. Third Class with Masters Degree in any discipline. 4. B. Sc. Third Class with MBA, etc. That was how he got his first well paid job with addition to his Masters Degree. After working for sometime in the organization, he switched over to the bank (because his focus has always been in the bank) as an experienced hire. So as at the time he invited us for the career submit, bro was already loud in the bank, with additional Masters, one MSc. and MBA. Another lesson I learned from him that day was when he told us that he uses his car for Uber early in the morning when going to work, late in the evening when he closes from work and on Saturdays. His Sundays were for God and his family. Omo, if you see his ride, ehen? Yet he was using it for part time Uber. Said his salary was for major projects and the money he realizes from Uber for daily expenses of the house. So dear, Op, why not take a clue from the story above and see what happens next? I wish you and all others divine speed and divine direction. See, you have no reason to lag behind this year, ok? Happy New Year. |

sqlPAIN: My wife just gave birth to my second child of recent and has been in the hospital for almost a week. Yesterday I went to the hospital to bring her and the new born to the house after a long stay at the hospital but to my greatest surprise, my father refused to allow us into the house. He had even already brought out our belongings. Me and my dad have not been in good terms since I got married to my wife in 3 years ago(even before then). He has been on my neck for years now, constantly and violently reminding me of how I should have left his house year ago and go live on my own, constantly throwing insult at me, telling me how I'm a disgrace to him and men in general, saying he regrets birthing me. I'm constantly letting him know that I'm not yet ready financially to stand on my own but he wouldn't listen. We've had countless fight turned physical because of this issue. Yesterday was the tip of the iceberg for me because I'm planning on arresting him... He brought out our belongings and my first child, saying we would not sleep in the house. We were all outside from morning till evening, I had to go beg a neighbour to helpe accommodate my wife and new born for the mean time. I'm currently typing this from a friend's place. I'm planning on arresting him because how can someone be so wicked and heartless to your own son. Op, which of the stories should we believe amongst the two? The one I quoted above, or the one I copied the link that you posted just on December 18, 2021? https://www.nairaland.com/7486207/dads-immediate-younger-sister-trying#119243110 |
