Mcleo007: Losing one's partner especially at a young age is one of the biggest emotional trauma that can happen to anyone.
I lost my wife 3 weeks ago due to complications from childbirth. Our son didn't make it too. The saddest part is that I walked her into the theatre myself as she was to undergo an emergency c-section due to foetal distress as they said. She was full of life, gisted and pranked all the way. My world came down shattered when I saw the nurses running helter-skelter a few minutes after I left her off at the theatre room.
It's mysterious really how your life can be going so well, and in one blink, it comes down to pieces. We were first friends for a few years before becoming lovers, then decided to tie the knot this year in between her getting pregnant.
She was my best friend and we shared a close bond. We got married just May this year, which meant the marriage lasted just 4 months.
Family and friends would expect you to brace up and move on, but trust me the grief never go away. The grief hit harder in the mornings when I wake up; thoughts of the life we had, what we would have had had she not died, the many plans we made and so on.
I know I will survive, at least I know she would want me to. So sorry bro for the great loss. You got to move on so that they can rest in peace. |

midnighter: But you're still going to marry her in the church so what actually is the problem?
Somebody told you something ahead of time, you say you did not take her serious. now the thing is coming to pass and you're complaining. Nawa
Church wedding is important to some people because of the spiritual implications, why did you go ahead with a born-again if you can't even respect a basic decision like this
And on top of it you put the wedding on hold so you can force her to compromise on her principles Wow
Shouldn't you be happy that you married somebody who actually stands on their word and does as they say? Is this not a good quality to look for in a spouse? I love your assertion and analysis. |

Romance › Re: TEENAGE LOVE; How Many Of You Did This When Growing Up? by Dearlord(m): 12:17am On Oct 14, 2019 |
greatbrian: Oboy you care to share yours? ...many episodes but few to share. Growing up under an ex-military Dad was a one heck of suffocating task to endure but learnt a lot from him. All through my life I have never experienced what fatigue means. We lived in a very rural area were we produced almost all our daily needs, we wake up as early as 5:30 am during drought & walk 3500 meter X² to the village stream with our cart to fetch water and wash our clothes. Going to school every morning was another task that we wake up early and water vegetables in the plantation, feed the cattle & face another journey of 1Hr 20min by foot to the school [ all trecking on the hill ] and by the time you are coming back from school you will branch to the market to buy some lacking food stuff & hurry up to so that you will cut some herd/grass for the animal to eat if not you will not have a peaceful sleep from there bleeting. In your home, you are the security [ as the senior male in the house always sleep with your gun at the edge of your bed], as a manufacturer every season comes with its own task. In terms of relationship with females, you dare not play or hang out with nobody for merriment all that matters is work and work and work |
Romance › Re: TEENAGE LOVE; How Many Of You Did This When Growing Up? by Dearlord(m): 6:41pm On Oct 13, 2019 |
greatbrian: I can relate to that bro. My childhood was never fun. Grew up thinking myself and my sibling were the only kid in the world. And before I could even wake up to realise I was just a boy, was already drafted to a military Boarding school in sabo zaria where all i see is chaos from senior and camouflage. From there na the university. Men even a times when my civilian friends are chatting I just loose touch and I am always completely lost to what they are saying. To crown it all, am an introvert in real life and hardly mix up. Worst of it we are on break now and yesterday my civilian arty was like let's go and rock and roll somewhere in Lagos. And I was putting on my kaftan jeje only to start hearing hysteric laughter's. I had to stab going out with them out of complete shyness. Am so lost to reality and atines I do feel that void of not been among. I can type more and more but men I just feel something is missing. The only kind of life I see is what I grew to meet the military life and what I live till now. Though none of my kids will grow through this path because my late dad started it and I followed.
I must say this part before I draw the curtain. I don't even know how to dance. Zanku sounds so strange to my ears and I feel my body z just so strong and can't even move. Though I can knack 300 forward rolls in 300 seconds and 200 pull up in 200 seconds. Men I feel better on nairaland watching life from afar and seeing how people live.
Lastly bro, I derive pleasure in what most of my peers see as boring in real life. I can't listen to any music except country music. Dolly parton is the best fast music I can think of and some Kenny rogers with don Williams. Even all my playlist is country music except military morale songs. And a lot of people won't believe this, HV never tasted alcohol, cigarette or anything close. And I even got disvirgined at 20+ even though I still wish I didn't coz it was like a job parade the day I did it.
Men this life is once . But gimme some sunshine and rain I wanna grow up once again. Here comes the specimen of my type. |

Mine ain't no funny at all.
I have a very simple head shape but whenever I go out there to have a cute cut I end up in book of Lamentations.
I tried having a special barber many times but they are never giving be a unique and constant look.
Many barbers [Ogas end up becoming an apprentice when they finish cutting my hair ] and some apprentice spends a whole day on cutting my hair.
The sad truth is that I had never gone to a barber and returned with my initial planed cut |
