that's the culprit

the conversion was concluded without replacing fragments of the firewall that must have been torn out during the course of conversion. this then allows engine heat to sip into the cabin.

I went out 2day to inspect a camry 2001. however, on getting there the dealer showed me a benz c180(elegance) after I tested the camry. he advised me to go for it instead of camry. am soo confused ryt now coz I kinda fell in luv with the interior of the benz. however I don't know the pros and cons of this car.are they fuel economical? rugged and good for a first tym car owner?

pls I urgently need ur advise.

I will take the benz any day. replacement parts are available and it hardly goes bad like Japanese cars. just make sure you are buying a car that does not already have issues.

Here's the thing, an ex called me last week(my first boyfriend) to invite me to his wedding, the issue now is that I don't know if I should honour the invite, he said his wife insist he invites me(he didn't want to )I know he did love me and he was quite the model boyfriend then(he could pass for the types in mills$boons )and we have talked since the break up but I never thought he wouldn't invite me to his wedding, and now to call me to say his wife insists he invites me is kinda shocking/confusing, I always knew I would honour the invites I have the time to attend to,still I'm wondering if I should sit this one out, I partly want to go because it will be like a kind of reunion with old friends(even some who have to travel from very far for this) yet somehow, I feel like not going, he didn't sound happy to invite me, he was cold.

My car has finally been Kazeemized which seems to have solved the issue. After the engine flush I took the car around for a spin, and noticed the problem still persisted, the next thing the mechanic did was to check the thermostat housing, (which I vermently refused) but he went ahead to remove the thermostat which seems to have solved the issue, but i'm thinking along the line of getting a new thermostat. How much is it sold for??

Imagine a man with malaria, he decides to take paracetamol to stop his headache instead of treating the ailment.

The kazeem has only succeeded in subduing the symptom of the ailment your car is having.
Overheating is not a problem. It is the symptom of a problem.

To test your thermostat, attach a string to it and lower it into boiling water, not letting it touch the base of the pot or kettle. If its good, you should see it gradually open up. If it does not open well or at all then the thermostat is the reason for the over heat and you need a new one which should not cost you more than 3k.

I still stand that the issue ur vehicle is having is electrical.

Fine, since your relays are ok then the the temperature sensor responsible for switching the fan on and off shld be the next to be checked.

A radiator flush is a good idea.

Thanks DECOtech. A mechanic told me the EGR issues do not pose any serious issues to the car's performance. Is that a fact? As I mentioned , the car works fine, by own reckoning, as it drives smoothly. Or so it would seem.

However he said the 0773 code is a major problem that should be taken care of.

As per the high RPM in the morning, this is a new development. It never used to rev that high upon ignition in the mornings. It revs itself soooo high as though it was possessed. Could it be related to the 0073 code? Another mechanic thinks so.

The P0773 code relates to you Automatic "gearbox".

The EGR issue does not hamper the running of your engine. However, in countries where there are laws on vehicle emissions you wld be mandated to fix it. I'm afraid 9ja doesn't have any emission law.

Can't say any other thing about the high rpm in the mornings unless I do a physical examination on ur car.

I don't stay in lagos, I stay in Ogun state. And yes I know the temp gauge is suppose to stay @ the halfway point. But like I said, it recently started hitting the red point when the AC is off. When it's @ that red point, the fan would come on thereby cooling it back to the halfway point, then the process repeats itself. Unless I switch on the AC, which makes the fan work @ all times..

You haven't told me how many cooling fans you have there. If it is one, then the relay that brings the fan on while ur AC is off has gone bad.

Ask ur electrician to identify and replace it.

Hello house. Recently I observed that my primera's temp gauge spikes up to the red zone @ time when driving, it then returns to normal when I put on the AC (the fan starts rolling), but wit the AC off, the temp gauge moves to the red-line. I took the vehicle to the mechanic for diagnostics, and they told me to redirect the fan to start working with or without AC, I adhered to the advise (Kazeems ideology) but still the temprature is sometimes above the half line, I want to know what could be wrongwith the vehicle, cos i'm not comfortable with the fact that the radiator fan is working all the time.

How many cooling fans are there in ur engine bay? Most times, it is one for you radiator and another for ur AC. Even at that, the fans aren't originally configured to run all the time. They are switched on n off by a dedicated temperature sensor.

In a case where there's just one cooling fan, the fan speed is controlled by the help of relays which make the fan run higher when ur AC is on and low when the AC is off.

Something is wrong with your electrical system but you choose to subdue the problem instead of fixing it.

As for your temp guage getting to the half mark, that's where it's supposed to be.

If you are in Lagos, find Gazzuzz for proper trouble Shooting and subsequent fix. But if you are anywhere in the east, please find my contact in my signature.

The P0773 has to do with a shift solenoid in ur tranny. The shift solenoid E. Either the valve is faulty or there's poor electrical connection at the harnesses other possible culprits cld be low transmission fluid level or even a dirty transmission fluid.

The other 3 codes relate to your EGR system. You could either have a blockage that thereby restricts exhaust gas flow, the EGR valve being bad or there's a poor electrical connection making the system not to function properly.

As for ur engine revving high in the mornings when u first start it, that's a normal thing for any car engine except hybrids.
