The Datsun 120Y. Pops called it his "paneled van". A very rugged car and I was barely 14yrs. Then the 1982 nissan bluebird, the 1982 toyota hiace, the 1984 mercedes benz 230. And by age 19, I could handle the mercedes 1113 (popularly called 911 truck)
Of course I always had my own key.

Politics › Re: How I Ended Up Voting For Jonathan by DECOtech(m): 6:04pm On Mar 28, 2015 |
hungryboy: Ever since the campaign for the presidential election started, i did make up my mind to vote for change, cos there was no visible federal government project in my state, I changed my mind today at the last minute, when i talked to a few hausa guys at my polling booth, then realised that the were all voting for Apc, and the were even cursing Jonathan and even accusing him of sponsoring bokoharam, i told them about Jonathan's almajiri education project and the many projects he has done in the north, i even told them that Jonathan hasn't done much here for us his people, compared to the north, but the had none of it, then i realised that this guys were voting based on religious sentiments, I had no choice but to vote based on 'na our man' sentiments too, Though am not proud of myself, Afterall am still going to be doing this business am doing no matter who wins, There is so much hate between the tribes and religions in this country, 'lets stop living this lie' called Nigeria, lets divide this country You just spoke the mind of many |

ZIMDRILL: no i dont
got a question for you
why would nigerian be different from other warm or even hot countries ? Dunno Maybe its about the quality of engine oils we find in the Nigerian market. For me, I don't leave engine oil in my modern engines for more than 4 months for a car that drives everyday. Even if it was made on the moon. |
Car Talk › Re: Automatic Transmission by DECOtech(m): 12:08am On Mar 28, 2015 |
ZIMDRILL: no no no
it doesnt matter with kind of oil
if its oil that you can change after 3 months then why trust oil that you change after 3 months when on average manufacturer always say 1 year to 1 and half years or average 7 -10000miles
it simply tells you that the oil is rubbish qaulity why dont you buy better one from well know quality oil suppliers
ask yourself why would by such oil ? you are just doing more harm to your car than good either go got manufacturer's oil or well known genuine brands like mobil, castrol, shell etc Please, let me ask you; Do you live and drive your car in Nigeria? |
Car Talk › Re: Automatic Transmission by DECOtech(m): 10:51pm On Mar 27, 2015 |
ZIMDRILL: where did nigerian get this idea of changing oil after 3 months ? I said "assuming" oh. Besides your oil change intervals could be as long as 3months depending on the kind of oil and how the car is used. |

ladel: I actually have scanned it before. I got a code p0455 - evaporative emission system leak detected ( gross leak/no flow) I guess I never considered it because i felt it has nothing to do with the abs/brake issue What kind of scanner did you use in scanning your car? I doubt it was a professional scantool. Else your car troubles would have been identified and fixed. Though I think the problem is not from your ABS unit but your brake booster assembly. |
Car Talk › Re: Automatic Transmission by DECOtech(m): 9:02pm On Mar 27, 2015 |
Assuming you change your engine oil every 3months (depending on the quality of oil you use oh), then you shld be changing your atf every 9months (like once in a year). |

Oohrhii: please help...me with this situation.
What could probably be wrong with my car, it feels reluctant to move atimes, and sometimes it flys like a jet.
I have changed the plugs, changed the valves even changed the fuel pump still its the same.
My mechanic sugested changing varbs in the cylinder but j am reluctant about these as the engine has never been loosed before and i do not intend to let anyone loose it unless its absolutely nessesary.
The sharpness is not always there atimes especially when climbing.
by the way its a 2002 mitsubishi diamante.
Please yall help me. Your "check engine light" must be on. Call 08030938491 for a scan on your car and subsequent fix. |
