Pataki: DUNCE ALERT AGAIN!!!!Fools will always show themselves and betray their sinister motives in the process. I said clearly that your paymaster was part of that govt which abandoned that highway for 8 years before the present govt came to the rescue. But a dunce is always a dunce. He just glances through, picks the name of his paymaster and rushes to advertise his foolishness on social media . I pity your paymasters. Their funds are just wasting. |
chucky234: Its too bad you not born when Mr. West was a minister of Petroleum in Nigeria,no wonder you display so much stu:pity than anyone else on NL.Mr methuselah, it is shocking how you have found solace in a man without any visible imprint on our oil industry except monumental corruption. So it is Tom West, the legendary corrupt Petroluem minister, that you asked me to ask about the ongoing reforms? so funny how birds of the same feather always flock together. What has Tom West on offer? If he had done half of the reforms being done by Diezani, we wouldn't have been in this stage of development in the oil sector. Isn't it shameful to both you and Tom West that it took a woman to come and give us the first comprehensive legislation on the Petroluem sector-PIB? In the annals of our Petroluem industry, Diezani will be remembered as the first oil minister to hand Nigeria a legal and regulatory framework for the oil sector via the PIB. She will be remembered as the first minister to institute a govt probe into the Petroluem sector. She will be remembered as the first minister to further institute criminal proceedings against oil thieves in Nigeria. These are hard facts that no amount of your spin can wish away |
Kobojunkie: 95% of road work in Nigeria are pretty much MAINTENANCE JOBS if you consider that much of the work is on restoring ALREADY EXISTING roads, only that they are in poor states, which happens anywhere.I will pardon this ignorance on the grounds that you are a paid agent resident abroad and far detached from the reality on ground. Those who ply these roads will laugh at you seriously. Onitsha -Owerri is just a maintence job abi? What is to be maintained in Benin -ORE -Sagamu Highway which your paymaster El Rufai's govt left in a dilapidated state? AFIKPO -Okigwe road is also a maintenance road? And kolo-Nembe-Brass? Kobojunkie, i can't believe you are the one saying this. You ought to know better. I can excuse chuky234, pataki, and Gbawe for this silly talk and ignorance, because they don't know any better, but not you. |
dayokanu: Dedeike,Mr DAYOKANOU, I said clearly that Ibadan -Ilorin road is under Dualisation by this administration. Is it rocket science to understand? |
chucky234: You keep roping yourself by refering to written article as facts and that's the dandest thing any sane man will do,it shows you a clueless slowpoke.Coming from a man that is yet to know about the trial of pension scam suspects, then I'm not surprised about the above post. Sincerely, there's no amount of false hood and ignorance that you will exhibit that will shock me again. You have gone full circle. funny enough you're now like a dying man seeking for any straw to hang on. I suggest you change ID because you have betrayed the depth of your low mind. Hear yourself. The appointment of Reginald was opposed by those corrupt NNPC officials? And this in your moronic state rubbishes all the sanity he has brought into that sector since arrival. you sounded very petty by asking me to meet Tom West. Is that the name of your paymaster? Or he is KPMG? I gave you detailed achievements of ongoing trial of oil thieves, Formulation of PIB and restructuring of agencies under the Ministry. And your lame response is that I should ask Tom West. very laughable. If I were you, I will take some time off to carry a little research about the pension scam trial upon which you laid bare your unpararelled ignorance before over 900. ,000 members of this forum. |
chucky234: I can see where you are coming from, thought I was debating with a sensible matured mind not knowing that I was wasting my time with a silly 17yrs old who sleep open GOOGLE and copy what ever nonsense he sees as facts forgetting that those articles on the internet were written by govt agents trying to impress Nigerians with their lies. I have never seen stupidity appear on human flesh. These slowpoke is still seriously clinging to his ignorance about the trial of Pension fraud suspects. I'm sure other well informed minds will be laughing their ass off over your continued embrace to ignorance. Please tell me you re kidding me. Are you really seriously holding unto your erroneous and laughable belief that pension frauds have not been arraigned in court? GOSH! I thought KOBOJUNKIE's boys had a little briefing before this adventure into propaganda. SMH. This is disastrous! |
@ MR. CHUKY234 and Chief goon, KOBOJUNKIE, In the energy sector, the minister has intensified efforts to sanitise the oil importation regime, she appointed a new executive secretary for PPPRA, Mr. Reginald Stanley, who has streamlined and drastically reduced the quarterly allocations for the importation of petroleum products. This ensured that there was availability of petrol nationwide. Alison-Madueke also compelled the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to streamline the crude oil lifting guidelines for the year to enable more local companies participate in the scheme. Also, after several months of discord with ExxonMobil, the minister, in conjunction with NNPC, was able to conclude negotiations with the US oil company on the renewal of its oil leases for another 20 years. She has announced that expired leases held by Shell and Chevron will be renewed by June this year. Under the gas-to-power programme to facilitate the availability of gas under new fiscal terms to thermal power stations in the country, the minister announced a 12-month emergency plan and appointed Mr. Kunle Allen, who will report directly to her, to head the Gas Aggregation Company of Nigeria Limited. The 12-month emergency programme is aimed at fast-tracking the construction of pipelines and gas metering facilities for the thermal power stations and the exploration and production of gas development projects by oil companies in the Niger Delta for the domestic market. @chucky234 You have consistently complained to me that you have a phobia for hard facts so I try so much to abridge the achievements for your easy understanding. |
chucky234: Look a goon calling me dull brain, quote my entire post with your rebuttal then we can battle it out since you don't know what achievement are.Mr fool. You should be very ashamed of yourself. When you try to distort facts, you should bear in mind that we are in a google world where people can resort to for verification of facts. Don't think your audience to be fools and dumb as you have proven to be. You opened your rotten mouth to say no body was charged for pension scam and challenged me to get you the names. I laughed at your ignorance and went the extra mile to furnish you the names. Now you are looking very hollow and foolish and seeking for a soft landing. DULL BRAIN! Having finished educating your imbecilic senses, I shall proceed to respond to your other falsehood with all decency, civility and proof. You unintelligently avoided all other major achievements I listed on Energy and sought to reduce it to only probes. Facts speak for itself. You can also google it. Diezani Alison-Madueke is Reforming the Troubled Oil & Gas Sector. In pursuance of reforms and more transperancy, the minister has set up various committees headed by respected private sector individuals to make recommendations on the restructuring of the petroleum industry. These include Special Taskforce on the Passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) led by Senator Udoma Udo Udoma; a Special Task Force on Governance and Controls at NNPC, headed by Mr. Dotun Sulaiman; the Petroleum Revenue Special Taskforce, headed by Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; and National Refineries Special Taskforce, headed by former Minister of Finance, Dr. Kalu Idika Kalu, with former Managing Director of Unipetrol, Mallam Yusuf Alli, as its alternate chairman. The Udoma committe has submitted the comprehensive PIB which is set to revolutionaries the entire oil industry. The FG has also forwarded same to the National Assembly. The Ribadu committee is still coming up with their report. Under Diezani, the Nation is witnessing the first criminal trial of oil thieves for corruption. We have seen the high and mighty been docked for subsidy payments. Is this Nigeria? Stay tuned..... |
chucky234: Dedeike is just one of those deluded retarded goons roaming aimlessly on NL.I'm loving this. I have always craved for an opportunity to impart knowledge into these dull brains. The list is as follows: MR. Atiku Abubakar kigo, former perm sec. Office of the Hesd of civil service of the federation. MR. ESAI DANGARBAR Ahmed inuwa Wada JOHN YAKUBU YUSUFU Mrs VERONICA ULONMA ONYEGBULA SANI HABILA ZIRA They have all been charged to court by EFCC for the pension scam |
@TEXASPETE, I promised to respond to all your objections with all civility , decency and proof. I have earlier given you a link to the establishment of the universities. I am sure you have viewed it and realized your folly hence your sudden silence. But that's not all. I have a measured response to your questions about the health sector. Onyebuchi Chukwu/Addressing Health Challenges *** Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, an Ebonyi State indigene, made some progress towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals in the health sector by facilitating the implementation of a five-year strategic development roadmap. He was able to complete many ongoing projects, including the National Strategic Health Development Plan and acquisition of cancer screening machines for some tertiary institutions. He moved to reduce tension among professionals in the health sector in order to build team spirit. He also accelerated the refurbishment of structures and equipment in the country’s health institutions, especially at the tertiary level. Under Chukwu, the federal government initiated a gradual takeover of vesico vaginal fistula centres in the states for proper funding and management. The health ministry pursued aggressively efforts to reduce child and female mortality and morbidity rates by strengthening the midwifery service scheme, reducing the price of ACT, the officially recommended brand of anti-malaria drug, and intensification of insecticidal nets distribution across the country. There was also an intensified effort targeted at family planning through a free commodities and services distribution campaign. |
thomason: SMH. But, you listed this under his achievement. Can you please provide us with pictures of those completed roads so we can dance azonto that our President is working.Continue shaking your head until it falls off. I mentioned roads that have been dilapidated for years but GEJ has come to build it and work is in progress. You think GEJ to be a genie in the bottle that will declare good roads measuring over 100 km into existence automatically. They are under construction and that's what's up. Pls say it's a lie. |
texazzpete: Dedeike is just a clownI promised to always respond to all your arguments with civility, decency and proof. You said the universities only exists on paper. Please review this link and see how ignorant you have been. http://www.fuotuoke.edu.ng/infos/nine-fed-universities |
exxell: Dualisation ofFinally, a voice of dissent and am so glad about it. My broda, you mentioned so many roads and ended up doubting only one. Ibadan - Ilorin is ongoing. And I have never said its completed. Owerri to Onitsha is 90% completed by Gej. Then the Enugu -Onitsha is still in progress but though at a very slow pace but it's expected to peak upon the release of the next quarter. Afikpo -Okigwe was recently awarded. I forgot to add under the Energy sector that NNPC DEPOT ABA has Been refurbished by this govt. The entire Aba has gone agog with the re opening of this depot which has been grounded for the past 10 years. |
I have waited very patiently to see whether any single person or hater could disprove one single project in that achievement but none is yet to come. The closest attempt was one who released a catalogue of parastatals which IBB established as conduit pipes for the siphoning of our resources. It may interest us all to know that the present government seeks to end this culture of waste and profligacy hence the Oronsanye panel which is working towards reducing all these IBB creations numbering well over 250 to 35. This govt is simply magical given their giant strides in just one year. Permit to rewind these achievements which always scares KOBOJUNKIE, GBAWE and KING O FLAG In Finance, finance ministry is carrying out bio metric evaluation of federal civil servants to reduce waste. The checks revealed the pension scam of over 120 billion. There is the new integrated online payment system which helps the minister monitor transfer of public funds. Our foreign reserves have risen again to 37 billion dollars. There's the proposed Soveriegn Wealth Fund to cater for excess oil sale proceeds. In Energy, a lot of reforms. The president is keen on transparency and thus has set up probes into the sector viz KPMG AUDIT and AIG IMOUKHEDE. The president sought to close the window of corruption by removing subsidy but the cabal misled Labour into a protest. That notwithstanding, the reforms are still ongoing and the full deregulation of the downstream sector being vigorously pursued. Last week, the FG had concluded the PIB which remains a landmark legislation that will revolutionarize the petroleum industry. Refineries are undergoing repairs and an American company, VULCAN is to build six more new refineries. In roads, Zaria-Funtua-Gusau roads, Oshodi-Apapa with expansion and drainage works, dedicated bridge frm liverpool roundabout to Tin can ports, trailer park, Dualisation of Ibadan -Ilorin, ENUGU-Onitsha, completion of OWERRI -Onitsha, 9th mile, ongoing reconstruction of Benin-Ore-Sagamu highway measuring over 265 km, Kano-Maidugri Dualisation. Keffi -Akwanga-Lafia, award of Afikpo-Okigwe, Auchi-Okene being handled by Setraco. Loko-Eweta-Karishi bridge, Kolo-Nembe -Brass to mention but a few. In Transport, massive reforms at the ports. Sanitisation and reduction of operating agencies to 7. Introduction of 24 hrs ports operation. Ongoing Construction of light gauge train railways across t4 cardinal point of the federation In Aviation, massive reconstruction of major airports in the land, Enugu airport is undergoing total rehabilitation. The domestic wing of Abuja airport is also being reconstructed with expansion of roads and car parks. Same fr the international wing and the kano airports In Education, establishment of 9 new federal universities in less than 1 year. Constructed 2 new campuses of the Nigerian law schools in Yenagoa and Yola respectively. Launched the Almajiri schools for education of itenerant Islamic pupils in the north wFhich Buhari and other northern leaders abandoned. Increased funding to almost 400 billion to education thereby setting an all time highest record. Reinvigorated the inspectorate oversight of schools leading to the revocation of some licenses from universities. Executed the landmark upgrade of university lecturers retirement age from 65 to 70. In agriculture, for the first time in our history, we have a clearly defined agricultural policy which is targeted towards maximum utilisation of cassava for growth thru the launch of the cassava bread campaign. The policy is intended to reduce our reliance on imported wheat so as to encourage local production of cassava and it's conversion to flour for bakery. The FG has in less than one year eliminated the middlemen cartel that fed fat on fertiliser distribution at the expense of local farmers. Now through deregulation reforms, fertiliser is now accessible in the open market. he has also embarked on massive construction of silos and has increased import duties on the importation of rice in order to encourage local farmers. The efforts of the minister has been so appreciable that the world bank assisted with over 50 billion Naira for fertiliser redistribution scheme/ silos. The CBN has also set up a 500 billion loan scheme which is to assist farmers. In power, the NIPP has been revived with the subsequent refurbishment of Afam, Alaoji, Calabar, GEREGU, Omotosho, papalanto power plants. This has led to the addition last December of 4,000 megawatts from barely 1700 to the national grid. To address the problem of distribution, the 18 successor companies have been slated for privatization. The media is already awash with news of the proposed privatization next week. The reforms include the review of tariffs in order to ensure a cost reflective tariff that will encourage private sector participation in the building of gas plants. Already, this has started yielding dividends as SPDC has commenced processes towards building a gas plant in IMO state. |
kingoflag: Dude, you need to be fired from the Laptop gang cus your epistles and sermons just bore to death. Like, after the 1st line I just want to go to sleep. I understand that they told you to sound convincing, but trust me, none is gonna read through more than 2 lines of your rubbish before clicking "quote" or "reply" and decimating you into 10Billon separate pieces. As usual, a poorly escapist attempt by an avowed hater. I know you have a morbid fear for hard facts and objectivity so you cannot stand two lines of those hard facts. You prefer to isolate yourself in your world of ignorance. You have also sworn affidavit to be ignorant but I will not oblige you. Those facts were detailed for your consumption and possible refutals. It's just a concise chronicle of the numerous giant strides ( because its very difficult to capture all the achievements) recorded by your nightmare-GEJ with just one year in office. The list is not exhaustive. More are to come. Just stay tuned. I have resolved that I will continue to confront all your falsehood with truth and hard facts. I promise to do this with all decency, civility and proof. |
@ bashr 8, I have been trying my best to educate these uninformed minds but some of them are irrevocably ignorant. So the best way to deal with them is through the carrot and stick approach. You give them facts and toungelash when necessary. That way you restore some sanity to their deluded heads. We appreciate that GEJ's govt has serious work to do in transforming Nigeria but to say that nothing is happening will amount to turning truth on its head. Besides this man is just one year in office as an elected president. Yet this people expect him to perform magic. Within this one year, Jonathan has undertaken the construction of major roads which were considered a taboo by previous administration. Notable amongst them is the Benin-ORE-Sagamu road which has been a motorists nightmare for years. GEJ is doing it. In Lagos, APAPA-OSHODI was awarded by to construction giants Julius Berger. A dedicated bridge has been constructed linking Liverpool Roundabout into TIN CAN PORTS. All this in one year. How many did previous administrations do for them? How many? In that same Lagos, GEJ is constructing a railway to link Kano and Lagos. The phase 2 of that project covering Ibadan was just awarded to Chinese construction giants CCCE C. In that same Lagos, the president set up a task force to sanitize and reform the ports. I challenge everybody on this forum to make enquiries from anybody that operates in Lagos ports. I challenge you all to come back and disprove my claims that the ports have been sanitized. The number of agencies that used to operate in the ports were over 16 making business very difficult. But today, the agencies have been reduced to 7 after the reforms. Plans are also in top gear for 24 hours operation at the ports. Will Jonathan kill himself for them? This same GEJ Has established 9 new federal universities in one year. Increased funding to education to an all time high of 400 billion, a feat which formed a large chunk of ASSU's demand during the Obj days. In one year, he has established and launched the Almajiri school projects for Islamic pupils in the North. These northern leaders attacking him failed woefully to do this when they were in office. Take time to review the ongoing power reforms. All these fools making noise are just clueless on what is happening in that sector. Power generation dropped to an all time low of 1500 megawatts before GEJ came in. Today, owing to his revival of NIPP, he has refurbished Afam, Alaoji, Papalanto, GEREGU, and calabar power stations. Mambilla and Zungeru are nearing completion. As at December, Gej had raised power generation to 400o megawatts. But the challenge remains inadequacy of gas and distribution. To this end, the Fg set out to privatise our distribution network. All the 11 disco's are already slated for privatization and interestingly, giant electricity companies like SIEMENS, GENERAL ELECTRIC and Brasilian ELECTROBUS have all executed bulk purchase trader agreements preparatory to privatision. These idiots watch Tv everyday and never bother to ask what the striking workers and invasion of soldiers at PHCN Z headquarters is all about. the crux of the matter is the ongoing privatization of PHCN and the fate of the civil servants |
playmode: Are you for realAnother mad man on the loose. You have become so obsessed with Gej that you now ascribe even the role of the judiciary to him. Shame on you. I will preserve this your post so that the world will know how much ignorance is on parade on Nairaland. You want GEJ to give you a case. There are so many of them. EFCC V BANKOLE, EFCC V AKALA, EFCC V GBENGA DANIEL, EFCC V NAFADA, EFCC V WAZIRI AND MANY OTHER ACCUSED PERSONS in the PENSION SCAM PROBE. EFCC V TUKUR, EFCC V ALI etc. they abound. I just gave you few of the high profile cases. In your warped thinking, you still feel GEJ will transform himself to a judge and sentence the accused persons. I don't want to believe this is coming from someone who saw the four walls of a secondary school. You equally advertised your ignorance of the AIG committe. Perhaps, you have been high on SK so you don't really know when they sat and submitted their report. Unfortunately, you have a phobia for newspapers otherwise I would have referred you to the backpage of today's THISDAY NEWSPAPERS. You would have seen the tacit endorsement and support pouring in for the AIG COMMITTEE, Your last paragraphs had every semblance of a mad Man's memoir. High sounding gibberish mixed with weird thoughts and hot air. I suggest you visit a psychiatrist urgently |
CHIPPO 1: @ dedeike, I like ur detailed analysis covering key areas of the economy, with all these achievements the country GDP should go up as there will be multiplier effect on the economy....but ask yourself this simple question does this translate to improved well being of Nigerians? Is there an improvement in per capital income apart from the figures we get from Govt. ? Is there a reduction in unemployment....everywhere in the world where there is true rejuvination of the economy there is a multiplier effect which is not hidden let's stop decieving ourselves and hold public office holders to their responsibilities.I appreciate your concerns and I share them too. But you must understand that governance at the federal level is complex. If your governor does a road today, it's likely to be visible to all. But federal roads are scattered all over Nigeria, and so the impact may not be felt by all. Take for instance, this govt is fixing ZARIA-FUNTUA-GUSAU covering over 101 km but majority of us may not use that road for years. We may not even have any business in that axis for a long time to.come. |
sheyguy: Highlighted are some of the lies and blind support for anything GEJ we have seen a thousand time in this forum. If you were not a big fool, you would have settled down to highlight the lies in those achievements one by one. EWU! I know you have sworn on oath to hate GEJ so no matter what anybody says, you will not embrace truth. I will reproduce the achievements again and wait patiently for you to counter a single project. In Finance, finance ministry is carrying out bio metric evaluation of federal civil servants to reduce waste. The checks revealed the pension scam of over 120 billion. funkei: Interestingly, these assertions about GEJ achievements are true and like you observed, the downsides of the adminstration would have to be highlighted corruption, extravagance, ineptitude by not acting decisively against erring govt. officials. But we must accept that a lot of these problems are inherited and largely structural in a very defective system. Ironically, GEJ weakness was OBJ strength, His Strength was OBJ weakness. While OBJ could be couragous and decisive then, he never gave his delegated authorities the free hand and that is GEJ strength, expalianing why we are having better elections, and power is improving, so are some other govt. agencies. Let us all critisize constructively as you have done, not out of malice or pull him down syndrome. We all have stakes in GEJ doing well, afterall we should look at the madness in Syria, and feel grateful that it is not as bad, but we want more. With some faith and fortitude as well as keeping our leaders on their toes we would have a much better country.Corruption can never be the highlights of this administration. This administration has blazed the trail in anti corruption crusade. Apart from the usual prosecution by EFCC, the govt has taken steps to fight institutional corruption. This govt was the first to sign the FOI, which previous administrations dodged. It's the FOI that has now given access to the public to discuss budget and discover the loopholes in it. The FG placed its budget online for public view. This govt started by prosecuting the speaker Bankole before the judiciary dismissed his case. This govt. Cut down REPS allowances from 42m quarterly to 15 m quarterly hence the outrage raging in the house. This govt sought to close the window of corruption in NNPC by removing subsidy but the cabal fought back through labour and retained subsidy. This govt opened up transperancy in oil allocation and raised the bar through the imposition of stiffer barriers in crude export market. This govt came out publicly and announced the billions missing under subsidy management thus prompting all the probes on that sector. Prior to this administration, NNPC was run like a secret cult. No body knew what was happening in the sector. This govt is the first to set up an independent committee led by a distinguished technocrat AIG IMOUKHEDE to probe the oil sector. It has since been established that the AIG report indicted more people than the FACROOK sham and provides the basis upon which the oil cabal is being charged. This govt was the first to appoint a known opponent of the president to look into its oil revenue. I.e Ribadu committee. This govt was the first to charge the oil cabal to court. Before our very eyes, we are seeing the sons of the most powerful leaders in Nigeria facing trial. This govt is the first to take serious steps to put together a comprehensive PIB intended to open up the oil sector and entrench transperancy. |
As I write, I have enjoyed 48 hrs of uninterrupted power supply. We appreciate it's not yet unhurt but there's significant improvement. The process is ongoing. We will get there following the successful privatisation of PHCN. FRESH AIR |

Already, this has started yielding dividends as SPDC has commenced processes towards building a gas plant in IMO state. |
For me i am AGAINST this cassava bread bullcrap ! 1. Cassava bread smells horrible. 2. Cassava has higher concentration of cyanide and if not properly treated could lead to food poisoning = death . 3. Cassava bread is of VERY low quality . Its bad enough that the so called wheat bread we have right now is of poor quality now think of how bad the cassava bread would be . 4. The Nutritional value of wheat bread is "out of this world" compared to Cassava bread . 5. Do we really have to spend billions to save billions Where's the sense in that .
Suddenly, we now have wheat bread activists because anything about GEJ must be opposed.Suddenly, they have discovered that cassava, which we have being drinking and consuming since birth as garri, akpu, tapioca, contains cyanide. Good morning Doctor! Suddenly, they now say cassava is of low quality but we owe our energy in Nigeria on its intake everyday. Suddenly, they are beginning to fabricate imaginary billions for spending by imaginary people. Where in that report did govt ever say they were going to spend billions on training bakers on the use of cassava flour? Where? Opposition can never get messier |

ypzilanti: Majority are not abusing Fashola, Oshiomole, Akpabio, Chime, Lamido, Okorocha.People abuse them in their respective states. And Nigeria is not a state mind you? I don't have any business discussing about Osun state here but we can discuss Nigeria. Nigeria is much larger, diverse and complex to govern. In the 1999 constitution, the FG is charged with over 68 items in the exclusive list. Power, Defence, Economy and Energy alone is enough challenge for anybody. No other tier of govt is saddled with half of this task. So please don't make your useless and baseless comparison. Try to acquaint yourself with the enormous responsibilities vested in the federal government before blabbing. You are not a kid |
They should tell Mr. GBAJA, sorry GBAJABIAMILA, the fraudster to resign first then we can take it up from there. Foolish people. I didn't know Lai Mohammed still had a voice. I thought he has gone dumb after Oyo taxpayers money was used to sponsor the wives of ACN lawmakers on a trip to London for capacity building training on how to protect their husbands from increasing competition from Oyo babes. |
justwise: The £400 he pays in a month covers 24hrs internet connection, water supply, electricity, and gas. He do not need to buy bed, gas cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine and in most cases dryer.Say what you know. That amount does not cover his gas and electricity supplies. Verify your facts |
pembisco: because its only pple lyk d wives of Anambra state law makers dt ar supoz 2b there! Mtcheww!F.ool. It is not Anambra lawmakers wives but your ACN OYO lawmakers |
Moreover do you know ANOTHER DISADVANTAGE OF THIS POLICY IS THAT IF GOVT INCREASE THE TARRIFF OF WHEAT FROM 20% TO 65% AS THEY PLAN LATTER, IT WILL ONLY ENCOURAGE SMULGLING OF WHEAT FLOUR. SOME MILLERS HAVE SISTER COMPANY IN OUR NEIGHBORING COUNTRY. IF NIGERIA TARIFF IS TOO HIGH, THEY WILL JUST DIVERT THEIR IMPORTED WHEAT TO THAT MILL, PRODUCE CHEAPER WHEAT FLOUR AND SMUGGLE IT TO THE COUNTRY. PRESENTLY WE SELL 7400 INSTEAD OF 6200. WE ARE ARE MADE TO KNOW IS GOING TO INCREASE TO 11000. IF THEY SELL FLOUR FOR 5,000 IN BENIN REPUBLIC AND SELL 11,000 IN NIGERIA. ARE YOU TELLING ME PEOPLE WILL NOT SMULGGLE IT INN TO MAKE MORE PROFIT EVEN THOSE POLICY MAKER WILL QUICKLY GO INTO THE BUSINESS AND USE THEIR INFLUENCE TO BRING IT INN. I AM TALKING FROM EXPERIENCE. OUR POLITICIAN ARE HIPPOCRATES. FG SHOULD THINK WELL BEFORE EMBARKING ON POLICY MAKING. SOME POLICY MAY BE GOOD THEORETICALLY BUT NOT PRACTICABLE.
I don't know the device you use in sending these posts that makes it appear in this sorry form, however permit me to respond to the issues you raised above. I appreciate your concerns about the effect of the new tariffs on the importation of wheat. It's a legitimate concern. Sure, desperate people would want to smuggle in the wheat through our porous borders. The truth, however, is that in the course of smuggling, the smugglers will encounter restrictions . Sure they will bribe their way through but the beauty of it all is that they will build the cost of such bribes and settlements into the price of wheat in the market. The target is that the price of wheat based bread becomes more higher than the cassava bread in the market. This will make the consumption of cassava bread more attractive than the wheat bread. If wheat flour bread sells at 400 a loaf and cassava bread sells for less than 200, demand will gradually shift to cassava bread and with it a corresponding demand on cassava production. That is the goal. If Kobojunkie likes, he can be eating his N400.00 bread with OLD GBAWE. |
