PoliticsRe: Why Is Supporting GEJ Seen As An Offence? by dedeike: 8:24pm On Jul 27, 2012
Are they still hating? Let me rewind the achievements again so that enemies of progress will lament.

The transformation agenda is on course. Reforms are ongoing in every sector. The finance ministry is carrying out bio metric evaluation of federal civil servants  to reduce waste. This has already yielded dividends as over 126 billion as pension fund scam has been revealed and the accused persons charged to court. EFCC has secured an order for seizure of the assets of these accised persons. There is the new integrated online payment system which helps the minister monitor transfer of public funds. Our foreign reserves have risen again to 37 billion dollars. Our domestic borrowing is being reduced.

By july, we have attained 56 % budget implementation. Those corrupt person's who are at the receiving end of the new strongent conditions for release of govt funds are crying bitterly. There's the proposed Soveriegn Wealth Fund to cater for excess oil sale proceeds. Minimum wage has been increased to 18, 000.

In roads infrastructure, Zaria-Funtua-Gusau roads, Oshodi-Apapa with expansion and drainage works,  dedicated bridge frm liverpool roundabout to Tin can ports, trailer park, Dualisation  of Ibadan -Ilorin, ENUGU-Onitsha, completion of OWERRI -Onitsha,    9th mile, ongoing reconstruction of Benin-Ore-Sagamu highway measuring over 265 km, Kano-Maidugri Dualisation. Keffi -Akwanga-Lafia, award of Afikpo-Okigwe, Auchi-Okene being handled by Setraco. Loko-Eweta-Karishi bridge, Kolo-Nembe -Brass, Lafia -Obi -Awe. Access roads to Eleme and Mossimi ports.

In Energy, a lot of reforms. The president is keen on transparency and thus has set up probes into the sector viz KPMG AUDIT and AIG IMOUKHEDE. The president sought to close the window of corruption by removing subsidy but the cabal misled Labour into a protest. That notwithstanding, the reforms are still ongoing and the full deregulation of the downstream sector being vigorously pursued. Last week, the FG had concluded the PIB which remains a landmark legislation that will revolutionarize the petroleum  industry. Refineries are undergoing repairs and an American company, VULCAN is to build six more new refineries.

grin grin grin grin . These witches and wizards hate to see this.

In  Aviation, massive reconstruction of major airports in the land, Enugu airport is undergoing total rehabilitation. The domestic wing of Abuja airport is also being reconstructed with expansion of roads and car parks. Same fr the international wing and the kano airports

In Education, establishment of 9 new federal universities in less than 1 year. Constructed 2 new campuses of the Nigerian law schools in Yenagoa and Yola respectively. Launched the Almajiri schools for education of itenerant Islamic pupils in the north wFhich Buhari and other northern leaders abandoned. Increased funding to almost 400 billion to education thereby setting an all time highest record. Reinvigorated the inspectorate oversight of schools leading to the revocation of some licenses from universities. Executed the landmark upgrade of university lecturers retirement age from 65 to 70.

In agriculture, for the first time in our history, we have a clearly defined agricultural policy which is targeted towards maximum utilisation of cassava for growth thru the launch of the cassava bread campaign. The policy is intended to reduce our reliance on imported wheat so as to encourage local production of cassava and it's conversion to flour for bakery. The FG has in less than one year eliminated the middlemen cartel that fed fat on fertiliser distribution at the expense of local farmers. Now through deregulation reforms, fertiliser is now accessible in the open market. he has also embarked on massive construction of silos and has increased import duties on the importation of rice in order to encourage local farmers. The efforts of the minister has been so appreciable that the world bank assisted with over 50 billion Naira for fertiliser redistribution scheme/ silos. The CBN has also set up a 500 billion loan scheme which is to assist farmers.

In power, NIPP has been revived with the subsequent refurbishment of Afam, Alaoji, Calabar, GEREGU, Omotosho, papalanto power plants. This has led to the addition last December of 4,000 megawatts from barely 1700 to the national grid. To address the problem of distribution,  the 18 successor companies have been slated for privatization.  The media is already awash with news of the proposed privatization next week. The reforms include the review of tariffs in order to ensure a cost reflective tariff that will encourage private sector participation in the building of gas plants. Already, this has started yielding dividends as SPDC has commenced processes towards building a gas plant in IMO state.

Jodesky: Is it with his father's money he constructed the roads? He shouldn't have constructed anything nah!
Abi this country no still dey neck deep in debt ni?
We are saying there's is a lot of looting & misappropriation of resources in his government! There is enormous wastage & he is there pretending not to know because he is the primary beneficiary, still he worsen the burdens of the already worst kind of life the masses live each day.

May we see the end of this man, his followers & his evil plans even before 2015. AMEN!!!
God does not answer the evil prayers of a witch like you. You have been presented with a catalogue of roads that this administration has committed in one year but instead of appreciating his efforts, you resorted to petty ranting.
Is your money agreed. yet previous administrations did not do it. Wasnt your money not there when all previous govts abandoned Benin -Ore-Sagamu highway?
This govt is doing that road in just one year in office.
They have completed Onitsha - Owerri, they are doing a whole lot of others including the Apapa-Oshodi expressway by Julius Berger.
Yet you are not satisfied. You want them to fix all the roads in Nigeria withing one year.
HATER!

Another confused and ignorant fellow on the loose. Mr. FEMI GBAJABIAMILA or MR. GBAJA as the case may be has never been a member of PDP.
If he was a member of PDP, he wouldn't have escaped the internal screening by the party before primaries with this criminal history.
He is a die in the wool ACN member.
ACN is a safe heaven for such dubious characters. And they thrive there because of the absence of primaries.

Delafruita: how does changing his name become a crime?besides he didnt change his name.its a common practice among africans to make their names easy to pronounce for the foreigners especially when your livelihood depends on their patronage.some even dump their native names for either their christian or english names.its not too difficult to understand unless you're a bigotted bozo
mumu,if he duped a client and changed his name to escape, how come he returned to georgia within just a few months after the complaint was made?how come the georgia bar had a forwarding address?so you mean if you're on the run, you'd leave a forwarding address and then go to face the charges.you must be stu/pider than i thought
As usual, all hot air and no substance. You must be a criminal like him. Because its only a criminally minded fellow that sees no problem in changing names like clothes.
You commit crime with one name and you switch to another. criminal!

Does his frequent visits to Georgia vitiate his indictment for such a grave offence as embezzling client's money?
Isn't it clear to your delusioned mind that all this switching of names is to avoid details of his criminal background to the SSS in Nigeria? Criminals!

The haters don't like to hear this.

In Transport, massive reforms at the ports. Sanitisation and reduction of operating agencies to 7. Introduction of 24 hrs ports operation. Ongoing Construction of light gauge train railways across cardinal points of the federation. Recently, precisely last week Wednesday, contract was awarded for the phase 2 of the ongoing construction of the Lagos-Kano railway. The Abuja intercity light gauge rail system is ongoing and nearing completion.

In  Aviation, massive reconstruction of major airports in the land. The runway is under serious renovation. The car parks are being expanded. The Enugu airport is undergoing total rehabilitation. The domestic wing of Abuja airport is also being reconstructed with expansion of roads and car parks. Same fr the international wing and the kano airports.

It's not easy to accept the achievements of someone you have sworn to hate.
They keep raising the bar everyday yet Gej keeps beating it. They are frustrated. The campaign of calumny is failing. The lies from Sahara SHOPRITE of lies are becoming counter productive. They started too early in the day to criticise him for non performance but now with each passing day, he records major milestones.

PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy Fraudsters Granted Bail by dedeike: 4:24pm On Jul 27, 2012
Please for the uninformed, GEJ has no business again in the ongoing prosecution of the oil cabal.
His job stopped when these men were arrested and charged to court.
His anti graft role stopped when the accused persons had their charges read to them in court. That is the position of the law. That is the reality.
Henceforth, all enquiries, accusations and blames should be re directed to the judiciary.
The ball is now in the court of these judges in whose courts, these cases were instituted. They hold the yam and the knife. They decide where the pendulum of justice will swing.
Jonathan cannot grant bail to any of the accused persons, it's solely at the discretion of the presiding judge.
Jonathan cannot also write their verdicts, the judges do.
So if you want anything good to come out from this case, just beam your searchlight on the judiciary and leave Jonathan alone.

Women for change initiative set out to empower women to vie for elective positions ahead of the 2011 general elections. Given the results of the last elections, it is obvious that this initiative really achieved its purpose.

The number of women in the National and state Assemblies increased significantly. The number of women in GEJ's cabinet is amazing. Big Govt parastatals are headed by women. Immigrations, FIRS, SEC etc.

For the first time in our history, a woman heads the Ministry of Petroluem which Obj appropriated to himself during his tenure.
For the first time, a woman was appointed the chief justice of Nigeria. Though it could be argued that she rose thru the ranks but the president has a discretion to exercise in such appointments. And he exercised in it in her favour.
Everything about this govt is fresh air, pet projects inclusive

Anuohia! If you still had some little sense in that your empty skull, you would infer from his own defence that this man has a serious case to answer.
He said he changed his name from Gbajabiamila to GBAJA in order to make it easy for the white man to pronounce. Who is fooling who? Whiteman dey pronounce wojciesh sceszkny , chimamanda Adichie,. So it is Gbajabiamila that will be difficult for them? Tell it to the birds.

From his own defence, he admitted liability to the unprofessional charges. And he tried trivializing such a weighty allegation as embezzling clients money.
This offence goes beyond mere ethics to criminality. What Gbajabiamila failed to tell us is that he duped a client in US. of course, he was indicted and he decided to change his name in Nigeria so as to scale the hurdles of SSS screening for the Elections. BIG CRIMINAL!

Mr Mahatma Ghandi, it is an insult on good governance to compare Oshiomhole with GEJ. GEJ has done extraordinarily well in just one year in office. His reforms are everywhere. His zero tolerance to corruption is remarkable. His achievements in infrastructure development are evident. and I will make bold to recall some of them accordingly.

It has been said time and time again that no cars were bought but some idiots will continue to hold unto the falsehood as marketed by the Sahara SHOPRITE of lies.
It's more ridiculous that otherwise educated men still fall for the dumbest and lamest story being spread around.
I didn't even bother to read further when I saw in that useless publication that 120 other exotic cars including Hinda and Toyota were purchased from coscharis.
Even a toddler knows that coscharis deals more with BMW and German cars. And if govt is to buy exotic Honda or Toyota cars, they will surely go to Honda place or Toyota.
So I wasn't surprised the next day when govt came out with a strong denial. I always knew the report was fake.

So I'm not surprised at his behavior and statements recently.
What is his interest in the recent appointment of Okupe? Why is he more jubilant and lousy than the appointee? Or is he trying to draw attention of the Fg to his joblessness?
If I were Fani kayode, I will go on sober reflection over the decision of the president to choose his contemporary ahead of him. Both Okupe and Femi kayode seved as media team to Obj. If the president is dissatisfied with Abati's performance as the SHOPRITE of lies tried to portray, then why retaining Abati and employing Okupe in another capacity.
For all intents and purposes, Abati's job is still in tact. His position still remains the number one spokesperson to the president.

What the SHOPRITE of lies failed to understand is that there is a clear distinction between SA on public affairs and media spokesperson.
And every govt has the two positions accordingly.

Exactly. Buhari hid under the shadows of Idiagbon. Very clueless fellow. And he still exhibits that cluelessness till date. Ask Buhari about his programmes for any sector in Nigeria. JaaizTech: Pls. Just tell Mr. President to ensure that his Minister for Justice/ Attorney General shows up in court next time. Because that is sending a very wrong signal of unseriousness to prosecute.
Who told you that the AGF needs to be in court for prosecution to be effective? Is that what your paymasters told you to come and say in this forum? Pls go and ask them to brief you properly.

AGF's prosecutorial powers is vested in all the law officers of the ministry of justice. Any officer of the ministry of justice, including a youth corper lawyer serving in ministry of justice, enjoys this power.

Besides, EFCC is the one prosecuting. The law establishing EFCC vests in them the powers to institute criminal proceedings against anybody. The case will be entitled EFCC V TUKUR or Kobojunkie or Gbawe as the case may be.

Have you ever seen any AGF in the history of Nigeria come to court to arraign accused persons? Such prosecutorial powers are usually delegated to other law officers or a special prosecutor.

However, according to the same woman, by June of 2011, the Nation had already exhausted the Naira 888 Billion allocated for subsidy for this year( that's in about 5 months). And all this during the same time this same Government has continually claimed that it has been working hard at CLOSING UP ALL HOLES to stop the thieves from continuing to loot the system. Who knows the lie that they will bring out tomorrow?

For pete's sake Nigerians have seen how the elite are "prosecuted" in Nigeria and how the sentences amount to a slap on the wrist . . . From the Alamieshiegas, to the Bode Georges, the Ibori's, the Odili's, Igbenedions, the Tompolos, the Halliburton linked criminals etc. Most of these were "prosecuted" but guess what, they walked out of court free of charges . . . at the end of the [.
grin grin grin these are indeed interesting times. KOBOJUNKIE now thinks too big of the president. In KOBOJUNKIE'S small mind, GEJ is a super human who is in charge of the three arms of government.
GEJ will set up committee, receive report, review report, send to EFCC, give orders for prosecution and still become the judge that will convict and sentence them.

This madness is actually more serious than what I thought

From the Alamieshiegas, to the Bode Georges, the Ibori's, the Odili's, Igbenedions, the Tompolos, the Halliburton linked criminals etc. Most of these were "prosecuted" but guess what, they walked out of court free of charges . . . at the end of the play, I mean day.
Many on here and in Nigeria, have come to accept, from past experiences, both under this administration and those prior, that the likelihood of those fingered even in the various subsidy probes, getting off easy is high. And many have accepted that it is more a charade than a prosecution in the real sense of the word.

I think, if you are really not one of these so-called laptop goons we have on nairaland, you calm down and read what people are really saying. If you however happen to be one of the 40 laptop goons, then ignore my post cause I really have no time to waste on such.
grin grin I'm enjoying this.
Mr. Kobojunkie is now talking softly. Appealing to pity and philosophizing about how prosecutions work in different jurisdictions. No more "Retardeen will never PROSECUTE" the cabal. No more " until we see any of these corrupt thieves charged to court". No more "The AIG committee is just like the other committees in the past. Nothing good will come out of it at the end of the day".
What Kobojunkie is finding very difficult to tell his audience is that GEJ has proved him wrong by charging those indicted by the AIG committee to court.
He is shocked. He felt it was an impossibility under Jonathan.
Each time they keep raising the bar. GEJ keeps overshooting it
