Good to hear the Governor say something!

I hope he realizes how much terror he has unleashed on Lagos motorists! Maybe he wants everyone to go and drink garri and only garri!

You are driving and suddenly they swoop on you like worms. They are Local Government officials assisted by a illegit police man or woman. They wrongly accuse you of disobeying the traffic warden when it is so glaring there was no such thing.

They force you into their compound.

They deflate your tyres like thugs. In fact they dont look better than thugs.

Then they start the terrible demands.

Is this Change?

Must you make money at all cost?

Your excenllecies, please fear God!

The idea of making Lagos a tourist centre is such a terrible mirage!

How can you attract visitors when your own people have nothing good to share about you?

Tourism is more than good roads painted white and black.

You cannot keep terrorizing your citizens and be hoping that visitors will cme visit you.

Its all rigged. It does not work.

Christianity EtcRe: What's Your Say About TB Joshua's Prophesy On US Election Now The Result Is Out? by Dee60: 10:02am On Nov 09, 2016
False prophets do not mean that there are no true prophets. Truth.

The Bible massively warns about false prophets, who would appear in sheep's skin but internally are wolves. Truth.

Everyone has a choice. Truth.

So, you find a prophet to be false, jump ship and find a good plcae where the true word of God is preached and where man is not exalted beyond what he is.

Fake currency notes do not mean that we have genuine currency notes being used everyday.

Find yourself a place where the undiluted word is preached and practiced.

You need salvation in Christ to find peace with God, false prophet or no false prophet.

Decide today. And by the way, you also can be a true prophet or pastor by following Christ and His word. You can be a good example.

When you see the total lack of values and morals among a large army of young people all around Nigeria you would not but agree that Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gun powder.

It is a crisis of parents (not youths). The parents have abandoned their roles and have gone after filthy lucre. It is a crisis of leaders! Judges senators, rulers, all have been wallowing in stupendous corruption.

The children have been abandoned to fend for themselves. Unfortunately, they were not created to take care of themselves but to be taken care of.

The boys are turning into thugs. The girls into something else. Just today, we read that girls in Aba start to have sex at age 10! Well, its not Aba alone...its everywhere now!

Chidi Odinkalu - With due respect, I think the comment you posted is in bad taste.

The statement is in no way saying they have banned OLD STUDENTS from operating, but they do not want the secretariat within the school. That may truly be draconian, but please do your checks. Old students should support schools but should not attempt to take over the management of schools. If they have the means there is really nothing wrong having their offices outside the schools.

PoliticsRe: Northern Governors Visit To The US Has Elicited Reactions From Some Nigerians by Dee60: 7:38am On Oct 21, 2016
I am still wondering how US will escape being accused of sectionalism, bigotry and division.

US Secretary of State came to Nigeria and met the Sultan (head of Muslims) and the northern governors, completely leaving out the south and the reps of the Christian community. What do you call that?

Many people hate Trump for his antecedents, but he is sometimes saying the truth! It is all rigged to arrive at their OWN selfish wants.

Even a black President of Kenyan descent will do this kind of thing to Nigeria!

Well, if they achieve division and war in Nigeria, maybe Kenya can rise to become Africa's biggest economy! But thank God, Nigeria is wiser. And by God's grace there will not be war in Nigeria.

Why this glaring sectionalism, I still ponder.

But the South is not missing anything. It is actually the South that is helping US today in many respects. If you take the Southern doctors out of their hospitals, their medical segment may possibly collapse!

I am not a sectionalist. I dont belong in bigotry, but I just wonder at this blatant charade by the US under an African American president! Maybe they will explain this to us. I am yet to understand.

Well, I stated my view and you just stated yours as well but do you really think she did not approach her husband severally before taking this option? We are all outsiders in this and all we can do is watch and see how things play out. Cheers.
I respect your views. I only wanted to show a different side to this. A woman should not be seen exposing her husband's 'unclothedness' in public. Outside Aso Rock and outside power, she should still realize she is a wife and should show examples to women. I think she really goofed. She wants to show she understand power and politics, but evidently she doesnt.
PoliticsRe: Aisha Buhari's BBC Interview: Nigerians React On Twitter by Dee60: 1:51pm On Oct 14, 2016
She has ridiculed herself. She is a shame to Africaness. She should quickly apologize for this behavior. She may be saying the truth but her platform is grossly wrong. Speaking to BBC is speaking to the whole world! her husband has not said he will contest in 2019, yet she goes to tell the world she would not campaign with him, as if her campaigning with him added any value in 2015! What a threat? What a shame? I hope she gathers the courage to apologize quickly, to women and womanhood!

She possibly has the impression she won the seat for the husband and might be looking for ways to influence and make appointments like previous first ladies.
PoliticsRe: Aisha Buhari's BBC Interview: Nigerians React On Twitter by Dee60: 1:37pm On Oct 14, 2016
k2kay:
Majority of nigerians are indeed backward in their reasoning. Instead of people saluting the courage of this woman, some are castigating her. Remember if a husband succeeds he does together with the wife and if he fails same thing applies. I feel the woman realized Buhari isn't the same person he used to be, hence her cry for help. It takes courage to do what she has done and am not ruling out the fact that the president himself is covertly behind this. I feel he is not in control and the cabal in his govt will do anything to maintain its grip on him.
Courage? Or cowardice! If she is a good wife, all she said to the world (through BBC) would be said to her husband and the husband will accept. This is the same woman from Day 1, putting on the most expensive apparel, jewelry, to show how 'rich she is' in spite of the husband's spartan lifestyle....a few allegations have trailed her, including forex deals, etc.....What if she is trying to take over power, like previous first ladies, and the husband is not allowing her, only for her to do a silly thing, to take her campaign against the husband to BBC!

Sometimes, we need to put ourselves in people's shoes. If you were PMB would you accept such? What does she know about governance or politics?
PoliticsRe: Aisha Buhari's BBC Interview: Nigerians React On Twitter by Dee60: 1:30pm On Oct 14, 2016
Very silly thing to do. Going all the way to BBC to expose her husband's unclothedness to the whole world! If she is that wifely, she should have said those things to her husband and be respectfully accepted! No wise woman does this... She has allowed power and fame to get into her head.

RedCapChief:
What can PMB do?

He can strengthen the capacity of the EFCC and ICPC. Has the EFCC won any high profile case in recent times. No!
Big Men who are corrupt are able to hire good lawyers who destroy the EFCC in court.
People don't fight corruption. Systems fight corruption.

Unless the DSS has evidence that the judges have received money dishonestly, then all this arrests are just gra-gra.
Buhari is not fighting corruption. He is just an ethno-religious bigot

Look at the Olisa Metuh case, there was clear evidence of receipt of money from Dasuki. Nobody can escape that.

Having money in your house is not a reason to be arrested.
What if the judge claims that his friend, who is a businessman, lent him the money.
I fully agree. The style employed is not good. It may end up embarrassing the FG. If there was substance in it, they could have worked with the Police to carry out a seamless check on those facts and arrest only where it becomes necessary.

I do think that PMB will get a better mileage if he sets up a truth commission - to allow people return stolen funds. We need better forward thinking in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Why We Arrested High Ranking Judges – DSS by Dee60: 8:52pm On Oct 08, 2016
Abagworo:
SaharaReporters has learnt from sources at the
Department of State Security (DSS) that the overnight
raid on the residences of some nine court judges,
culminating in the arrest of several of them, came as a
result of petitions and decisions of the National
Judicial Council (NJC), a statutory body that regulates
the activities of judges.

Two DSS sources, however, stated that contrary to
earlier reports, the Supreme Court nominee for Chief
Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, was not
targeted in any of the raids conducted so far. Justice
Onnohen reportedly raised alarm to friends when he
noticed police action next to his residence as a team of
security agents swooped on his next door neighbor,
Justice Sylvanus Ngwunta. A press release issued by
the DSS indicated that Justice Onnohen is not under
investigation, SaharaReporters learnt that the justice's
appointment is being fast-tracked to become the CJN
in a few days.

However, two Supreme Court justices, John Inyang
Okoro and Sylvanus Ngwuta, were arrested in
connection with the receipt of bribes from Governor
Nyesom Wike of Rivers State. Justice Ngwuta
reportedly traveled to Qatar to receive bribes that he
shared with Justice Okoro and other justices in order
to help Mr. Wike to win a case at the Supreme Court
regarding his disputed election. During a search of his
home Justice Ngwunta was in possession of N35,208m,
$319,475, 25,890 pounds and 280 Euros

The two judges have been linked with massive
properties development in Abuja and Calabar. Justice
Okoro is said to be building seven houses
simultaneously in Calabar with the help of former
Governor Godswill Akpabio and his predecessor Udom
Emmanuel in Akwa Ibom state. Justice Okoro had
N4.35m, $38,833 and 1000 Euros in his possession
during his arrest this morning.
SaharaReporters learned that Governor Wike sprang
up late at night to obstruct the arrest of a judge in
Port Harcourt. The altercation that ensued created a
tense atmosphere between the Governor and security
operatives sent to arrest the judge.

One source told SaharaReporters that the judge
involved was Justice Abdullahi Liman of the Federal
High Court in Port Harcourt. Justice Liman, who is yet
to be apprehended reportedly took $2million from
Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the Peoples Democratic
Party to give a judgement that “overthrew” the faction
led by a former governor of Borno state, Ali Modu
Sheriff. Governor Wike reportedly transferred the
funds in cash to Liman in Ghana, before it was ferried
to his home in Port Harcourt.

The bribe was to be shared between Lima and the Chief Judge of the
Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Auta.
When the team arrived the house in Port Harcourt
where the loot was kept Gov. Wike mobilized his men
to counter the DSS team with the aid of the State’s
Police Commissioner. Another source also stated that
one Justice Uche Nma Agomoh of the Federal High
Court in the same city who was a lackey of the former
president of the Nigerian Bar Association, Joseph
Daudu was also involved in the scam.
A statement issued by the DSS stated that their team
was obstructed by the governor and some thugs with
the help of officers from a sister agency, which
SaharaReporters learnt is a reference to the Nigerian
police.

A security source claimed that Governor Wike left
when confronted by police and DSS agents who
threatened to shoot him, however, the obstruction
aided movement of the cash found on the property.
Governor Wike told a different version to the press,
claiming he did not know who the judge was.

As early as 11 p.m. Nigerian time, the siege on the
homes of judges became public knowledge when DSS
agents raided the home of a young judge, Dimgba
Nnamdi, who apparently has been a thorn in the side
of the DSS lately. When the siege was over, the judge's
brother had been brutalized, after which the security
agents showed their victim a "search warrant" meant
for Justice Okoro. Justice Dimgba Nnamdi was
"roughened up" but not immediately arrested.
However, a DSS source stated Justice Dimgba is guilty
of corruption and had been arrested as well.

Justice Muazu Pindiga, who was arrested in Gombe,
was transported to the DSS headquarters in Abuja. A
DSS source told our correspondent that Justice
Pindiga was cooperating with the DSS regarding his
role in a bribery scheme over the Rivers State election
tribunal from which he was removed as a judge as
Saharareporters exposed him for receiving N100m
from Governor Wike.

SaharaReporters learned that Justice Muhammad
Ladan Tsamiya, an Appeal Court justice who was
recently "compulsorily retired" by the NJC, was not
home when a DSS team invaded his home in the
Gwarimpa area of Abuja, he reportedly surrendered to
the DSS later this morning.

One of the most dramatic scenes took place when the
DSS team stormed the home of Justice Adeniyi
Ademola. When the team ordered Justice Ademola to
come out, the judge claimed he was not home, but his
cellphone signal gave him away. He was subsequently
arrested with at least N300 million found in different
local and foreign currencies in his bedroom.
Specifically the same of N54m cash, $171,779. 4,400
Euros, 1,010 Rupees, and 80 pounds was found in his
residence.
A different team also arrested Justice Kabiru Auta in
Kano

PoliticsRe: Why We Arrested High Ranking Judges – DSS by Dee60: 6:27pm On Oct 08, 2016
DSS is like the FBI - They are called in on special cases. Go and check - FBI can break into homes or offices when they have enough intelligence. Even in the US, there are clashes between FBI and the Police on who should handle cases. It is not strange.

Nigeria needs to move forward. Corrupt judges + corrupt politicians + corrupt INEC + Corrupt Press + Corrupt police + corrupt lecturers + Corrupt Senators + Corrupt Representatives + Corrupt SANs - etc have all ganged up to destroy the fabric of our society.

PMB may be applying a wrong style, but what can he do, when the gang up has become so terrible?

Well, I am waiting to hear what the judges will say about this. We need correct interpretations. A lot of people talking on NL are too quick to comment without understanding the issues. Many have ethnic bias.

People like FFK should find a farm. We know them. All he needs is an appointment by PMB and the quarrel will sharply turn into praise. Has that not hapenned before?
