The FG officials opened the door for this mess and must take most of the blame but I also think the cheap photo splash should have been better managed. There are many Nigerians who can give USD390,000. Mike Adenuga has done far more without photosplash. Anyway, be careful next time, so you dont end up taking money from a felon and allowing such photo splash. It can diminish Nigeria a lot.

Taxation is a very good way to raise the revenue bar of the nation..All over the world companies are being taxed ..The media hype against the new tax policy of the Govt should not be taken serious..where the govt get money to run the economy ? All citizens must support the Govt to enable them deliver dividends of democracy .

Listen to the other side of the story. Nigerian businesses are over-taxed. There is doubole and triple taxation every where. There must be fairness in taxation for it to make sense. Businesses will close if you overtax them. Then the poor will suffer more.

This is what the likes of Sanusi and co are suggesting. That FG should tax more to reduce indebtedness. This is why FG is asking him to put the suggestion in writing. Because with one side of the mouth they push FG to more taxes, and with the other the accuse the FG of inflicting suffering.

This will be a bad move. Communications will suffer. People will call less. The economy will shrink further and FG will still earn less.

Our Finance Ministry is really non-performing. Why not look for how to lower costs so that people can invest and spend more and then you boost the economy. Will that not boost the revenue to FG? Why are we fixated on short term short cuts to success?

The telecoms companies grew on the back of lower call rates. Banks grew substantially when they started low cost special products, like low COT accounts.

This case confirmed that most Nigerians didn't know the origin of the situation.

The man arrested named his dog Buhari in an attempt to maybe provoke his neighbour, an Hausa man whose father's name is Buhari. I say provoke because everyone I know that has a pet only give their pet names orally. I haven't seen anyone who writes the pet's name on the pet. My boo's fam have 3 dogs and they've got names but they didnt write the dog's name on each dog. But that's by the way. It's still no justification for the owner to be arrested and detained.

This issue didn't in anyway involve President Buhari. He isn't the only one bearing the name Buhari in Nigeria.

It was the Hausa man's report to the police that got the dog owner arrested.

That's why I have been lost as to how many Nigerians have roped the President into this. Something he had no hand in going by the real story of the event.

It is not about doing business in Nigeria, even if we know Nigeria present economic is not encouraging, it is about how long you tend to continue, but when you can't go further, it is always advisable to take a break and realize what is not being right. CBN is failing while FG watches. Is there any bias there? Is the allegation about one bank being taken from the list any true?
