Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by deedee44: 7:41am On Jun 25, 2021 |
dru23: Before I will concluded that a car needs a new engine. It is very necessary to check the following....
Checks for leaks... You might want to check for leaks once u park the car overnight .. You wait till the next morning move the car and look for sign of oil leak on ground ....
Check pcv valves.... Have a mechanic check the pcv valves.. Pcv valves are usually overlooked . It is something that you can easily check urself .......
Engine valve cover.. Have a mechanic open up the engine valve cover and look for worn seals or look for traceable leaks........this has to done when the engine is cool .. ...
After doing all these checks and there is no trace of any oil leak .. You might have to get a new engine. Better yet half engine... The deciding factor is to check for white smoke .......
If you start the car let it warm up a bit .. Check for white smoke .. If the car is emitting white smoke after fully warm up .. It means a blown gasket and engine might be salvage depending on the damaged done .. But most people will advice to replace the engine.........
The above is my past experience with 1 of my uber cars .. It was actually a 2004 Camry. I bought the car tokunbo and at the time the car was ok .. We used 20w50 engine oil . this was before I knew anything about engine oil .........The car at the was emitting white smoke .. My mechanic at the time advice me to sell the car before the white smoke becomes too obvious .. So the car was sold ...........
Again the above was my personal experience You have my like |

Felicity0001: Now look at this phrase closely again, how would you feel if you're that man readimg this? One of our(my) staff... What's the need mentioning names in the first place even? Just look at the way u r even forming CEO (my staff) like u r d only CEO in Nigeria.
Baba be humble abeg.
How much you sell your property is not the issue and I've no business with that but menh this kinda statements are reasons why shit happens.
You even went further to mention brand new tires, na condemn tires you for put for the car? Or don't you know brand new tires easily fail than even the tokunbo tires that we have because they've gone through some series of test on the road b4 imported down to 9ja? Only that most of them have factory failures and are mostly winter tires.
Look at the bolded again and interpret these phrase very well again to yourself... Does this sounds good... You don't need to use some key words like "he has been home" somebody can even misinterpret this that you're sleeping with the wife reason why re sounding like its a favour you're doing for the man or better still the woman must have begged you to help the husband since he has been sleeping at home doing nothing... I can go on and on to scrutinize that phrase.
1.2m profit in 24months as profit is nothing short of 75% profit... Commercial banks don't even make that much in 10years of a loan tenure so bros be grateful and stop that feeling of a boss.
Lastly, can you now see you have something to say to me? Bro wetin happen nw, na you be the husband? The way you carry this matter ehn, be like something dey wey you no tell us lol |

dru23: Due to extreme wear and tear... This is why I recommend using full synthetic oil especially high mileage oil ......... If it is already shortening oil, no need to use synthetic or any expensive oil again. Simply save up the money for a new engine |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by deedee44: 8:40pm On Jun 24, 2021 |
dru23: Your 04 camry shouldn't be shorting oil ..more than likely you bought a lemon. Those cars were in such huge demand that some had high miles on them .... I use the big daddy during my early years of uber..
When you bought yours did you verify the actual MILEAGE ? I can bet money that yours was bought high miles and the mileage was roll back before it was sold to you ... It only cost 5k to roll back mileage my brother...... Also it is 2007 to 2009 camry v4 that had a factory defect of oil shorten ........
Now I keep saying this is why I use Honda Civic 03 to 05. Those cars were built specifically for low maintenance. They were design for that and they have the lowest maintenance cost ....
And from experience I never had oil shorten issues unless from worn out oil seals or bad pcv values.. I have mention these couple of times.. Samething with my elantra 07 to 08 never had issues with oil shorten..
I have a small fleet of cars on uber for the past years now .. My experience is well documented here ....i know what am talking about i4 Camry from 2002 to 2009 used that same engine with factory defect, no be everything be oil sir. Your fleet experience is not relevant in this discourse because we are talking about camry big daddy not civic or elantra |

OKB35: Just want to know if this Ehailing is profitable in lbadan as it is in Lagos. The thread for Ibadan Uber/Bolt Driver is a dead thread no update or post.
The Drivers here in Ibadan are always at loggerhead with Bolt management. I have been following their activities on Twitter for a long time. It's profitable but can never be compared with Lagos. The fares are different, but with the higher reward comes higher risks |

confusedworld17: Stop spreading fake news. Ah Ah!! 1 liter every week. You used a lemon not big daddy. He's right, the oil shortening worsens as car ages. Mine is 1ltr every 500miles now especially if I travel with it and rev high. It used to be 1ltr/1000 miles before |

Message the logo designer: to make inbound arrows similar to the current one, without the button/box cage... blue on the left, green on the right. Swapizo should be in a rectangular box with green and blue color forming each half. Just a suggestion, I think would turn out nice. Good luck Thanks i will send him a msg now |

Idaytesj29: Good evening people, I hope you are doing great. There is this pal of mine in the office that we usually discuss getting vehicle on HP to do Uber. For so long, none of us has been lucky. The country hard small, dealers no even reason our matter at all as soon as we mention HP.
But my friend just got a deal, someone who related to him somehow according to what he told me, who sell cars in Osogbo has agreed to give him a Honda Accord 2013 4 cylinders on HP, he has paid the initial 1 million requested and I got to know cos he asked me to sign a guarantors form.
Now, my question is, how suitable is a 2013 Honda Accord for the business?
Mind you he is a Civil Servant that earns around 139k and he said the car will serve him as personal car and for hailing.
He said the man has two of the cars and if I am willing he will put in words for me and I can kickstart process of picking the other.
Please guys, your opinion. Thanks
See the pic of what a 2013 Accord 4 cylinder looks like. Well I don't know much about honda cars but since you have a paid job, if your weekly/monthly expenses permit, you can be paying for the car with your salary every month and use the car to hustle on Saturdays and sundays for your personal expenses and family upkeep. I hope the total package is not too high, 2013 car on hp for ehailing is not one of the best options but if that's the only option you've got. Cool then |
