I think this is flat out robbery. You can't have that kind of season and not win MVP. I mean, 36 ppg? Nah men. Plus him being 2nd in steals and deflected passes, it just doesn't make sense.
Remember, Giannis made those numbers playing hard both ends of the floor. His defensive stats and ability are crazy too.

They should have thought about that when they made Westbrook MVP.
True that. The inconsistency in the criteria . Happens a lot in football ballon d'or too. Is it the best player for the season or the best player whose team won the title or the player that scored the most crucial goals on their way to winning? The inconsistency of it all is pretty confusing. They keep switching.

Anyway, glad someone with a Nigerian blood won it though. I believe he deserves it.

Not affected by pressure/stress/issues/challenges/feelings like other humans. To be calm in the face of pressure. To show no mercy/to have a killer instinct.

You know nothing about grace and the finished work of Christ. "In Christ we have redemption through the blood, the forgiveness of sins" - Ephesians 1:7.

No matter what you've done, there is a protocol for redemption in Christianity.

You can obtain mercy and be redeemed. It's your choice.

Once again I never said juju (or anything else) does not exist. I’m only asking legitimate reasoned questions about specific things.
As u said, the universe runs by principles/laws which God had set in motion from the beginning of time. That’s why it should be incumbent upon u to be sceptical when anything seems to contradict those laws - not attack people asking very legitimate questions about those things.
Beliefs, faith, meditation are NOT juju. Juju is someone saying some words over some female panties and thereby make u bulletproof.
Quantum physics does not apply in our everyday life and world. It only applies in the world of sub-sub-sub atomic particles.
You know it all my friend, why bother with the questions? Bye.

They bashed KD but see nothing wrong with Lebron bringing in AD and possibly another All star. Lebron hasn’t won any chip without 3 all stars!!! Pathetic double standards!
CuteRedd, there is a reason why the whole basketball world was shocked by that KD's move to the Warriors. Analysts call it the most shocking move in basketball history.

A 73-9 record breaking team and the second best player in the NBA joining them. An almost unplayerable team already. Haba! Think am nah!

There is no precedence to such in NBA history. Period.

BUT I AM THE ONE WITH THE OPEN MIND. I am the one asking questions AND I am the one who has said many times that ANYTHING is possible in this universe. U are the one saying obvious questions should not be asked.
There being shades of many colors does not answer the question why juju countries don’t win all sports events.

That’s logical reasoning. Refute it with equally logical reasoning not some ad hominem stuff
The universe runs by principles/laws which God had set in motion from the beginning of time.

There are laws of the universe, like the Law of cause and effect. Read about them. Those laws are forces just like spiritual forces. So someone not using juju but doing something by faith or belief is exercising an equally powerful force on the universe.

Beliefs and faith are forces in the spirit realm.

Principles are forces in the universe. Someone obeying the laws of success/peak performance for example will be richer/better than someone using juju alone or prayer alone, all things being equal.

A skill is a force. Wisdom and understanding are forces too...

The spiritual realm is a realm where men access to gain some form of advantage or additional forces over others or over a challenge. So prayer, juju, meditation, confessions are forces too and are attempts or means by which men gain such advantage or exercise such forces.

Read about quantum physics. I call it the science of the spirit realm. It will help you understand the spiritual side of life. If you are a Christian, it may help you understand the bible better.

Read Leke Alder's Illuminaire for a deeper understanding of Christian spirituality if you are a Christian. It can answer some of your questions too if you are an atheist.

To engage you in this topic is a long thing and I don't have that time. It's why I am writing you in little bytes.

May God lead you aright.

My sense is that those powers have very limited effect on our world otherwise presidents and such can’t survive. Also things like banking, sports, lottery will not be possible
You have a simplistic view to life. It's not either black or white. There are shades of many colours in between.

Logic, philosophy, psychology, science, technology, man, quantum physics, spirituality, the spiritual side all have their place in this life. Your question should be how does all these interplay? What is the nature of the cosmos?

There are things you don't know nor understand.

Ask God for wisdom and understanding and be open and humble enough to learn.

True. There are diabolic powers. There is also the power of God.

The spiritual is a realm. Anybody can access this realm to gain some form of advantage in life.

Problem is the diabolic path has grave repercussions and consequences.

Just curious as to your dad's response to your question grin

EnthronedbyGod na pastor o. From his quote from Dr. Olukoya, i knew he was going to speak from a very christian angle. As a Christian, i understand what he says are very deep. I wish he would dig more on the issue of blood oaths taken during initiations, etc. But lets face it there is a spiritual side to things. Early this year a prophetess i follow on Facebook gave a prophecy and insisted we pray for young minds that the spirit of suicide has settled among the youths in the country. This year haven't we been seeing youths taking their lives for even baseless reasons? The number of suicidal deaths is more than 60 i have read on news, which may actually be in hundreds.
Anyways, i wont doubt him too much. Good his thread is in the religious section. Will be a strong guide there. But for those fully in the flesh, wey won belong or form hardman, the stance remains "Say no to Cultism"
There is actually a spiritual side with attendant consequences to cultism but EnthronedbyGod is all over the place in that thread and has, as a result, nuked every believability of the intended message. Have stopped reading.

Sad. Was hoping he will do justice to the topic. Naa! We'll await another saviour. He's not the one.

Modified:

Finally finished EnthronedbyGod thread after my anger at the way he started it made me stop earlier.

I still maintain that his calling out some men of God and some denominations was unnecessary, ill-advised and counter productive.

Having finally read it, here's my report:

There are many golden gems in his thread for anyone interested in the negative side, spiritual side and spiritual effects of cultism. He has enriched and deepened this expose on cultism.

I now amend my earlier criticism of that thread.

Best wishes everyone.

It was never my intention to comment on this thread even though I visit it on daily basis but some unfair comments here against the OP have eventually forced me to comment.

Op you are really doing a wonderful job in this expository. I graduated in 2005 and can relate with some of what you exposed here even though I wasn’t a cult member all throughout my stay in university.

Those that accused OP of glorifying are just unfair. OP has been consistent that no cult is stronger than the other and cannot protect anybody. Some other comments are of the opinion that what OP has said is well known to everybody. This is a big lie. Some of my friends that joined cultism in school only saw the entertainment part of it but never the ugly side as exposed by OP. One joined because he wanted to always attend parties without hindrance or molestation. Another joined in order to continue to date his girl. Another joined in order not to be alienated from his drinking peers. But all regretted ever joining.

The severity of the initiation which lasted for a whole night was made known to me by the OP for the first time in this thread.

Members at risk:
Another eye opening is the fact the every cult member is at risk during HIT. The notion has always been that it was the person the pulled the trigger in previous HIT that is always the target. A friend of mine who renounced always said so but I wonder why he leaves schools for weeks at times.

On settlement with cash:
Another interesting thing OP emphasised that I wasn’t aware of is that HIT is settled with cash. This is one of the greatest lie by cult members who always insist that the fear of reprisal attack from their group members protect them. For the first time I realised that cash is used to pay off dead ones. Who benefits from this cash, maybe the cult head or chairman and definitely not the deceased family. How much is involved? Even though OP has not stated that but it cannot be above N100,000. So this amount is what a cult member insured his life with.

On JUJU:
On this OP is not lying. Almost all cult members parade one juju or the other. These different jujus serve one purpose or the other. For their effectiveness, I don’t know. But one thing I know is that cult members are not morons or imbeciles. They are people with thinking faculty, if the charms are not known to have worked, it wouldn’t have been so rampart with them. But like all evil supernatural stuffs, they not only have their expiry date but also dos and donts, fake ones and stronger ones. One in my school then always boasts that whoever that wants to kill him must first visit india. This is an indication that whereas he believes in the efficacy of his charm, he also believe that stronger ones exist. Those that questioned the efficacy of juju and insisted that Britain wouldn’t have conquered Nigeria if it works. Well like Igbo people says “Ihe a muru amu ka ihe agwuru agwo”. Check me out in religion section if you want to go further on this.

Lastly:
OP, someone who is still a member said early in this tread, that if had read this thread before going to university that he would have joined. That is the best appreciation you can get in this thread and the greatest motivation you can get to continue with this thread.
Nice one. Correct your last paragraph. I believe you meant 'wouldn't have joined'.

Yeah that's why i said he should have stopped when the story ended
Guy, you are triggered deeply by this story because of your past. Let the implication of this sink in.

Without your dirty cultism past, you will see this thread as most of us see it, a brave life saver in a hopeless world.

You talk of people knowing the implications of cultism before joining and I laugh. Dude, it's a secret cult for crying out loud and 90% of what you will eventually encounter will not be revealed to a ju man or non initiate until you are initiated.

The unveiling of the secrecy which OP is doing is like unmasking a masquerade, the whole myth and reverence and power of the masquerade over you is gone.

Will there be some who will read this and still run to join? Certainly. But those ones are the few that are hardwired to embrace evil and self destruct.

In the classic, Living in Bondage, Andy(Kenneth Okonkwo), full of regret and misery at the enormous price he's had to pay for joining a money ritual secret cult, blamed his friend
Paulo, who had convinced him to join, for not telling him, in greater detail, the gravity of the price he would have to pay. He cried, "Mana Paulo ikowataro m ife a ofuma." "Paulo, you didn't explain this thing to me very well."

This expose has done justice to revealing the gravity of the evil that cultism truly is. No one after reading this will give the excuse of not knowing the depth of the evil involved anymore.

Let he who has ear hear.

He accepted a bench role in houston, turned a new page and was doing quite well. But the rockets made him a scape goat. I will take melo even as a spot up shooter coming off the bench, he doesnt have the influence to cause havoc or ruin chemistry. And if he doesnt work out you can always cut him. Its worth giving a chance, melo on the veteran min will be a huge steal for a cash strapped team trying to build.
I think coaches wanted their pound of flesh off of him after all those years.

Honestly, i dont want kawhi cause that would be too bad for the league. The lakers would have stacked the deck too much and it diminishes winning a championship, especially with no worthy opponent since kd and klay are down. Kemba or butler would be ideal. I want Kawhi to sign with the clippers just to give the west a bit more grime, a bit more drama. If he stays with the raptors he'll probably never make the finals again. I want the lakers to have a good competitive team, i dont want a warrior type situation where the odds are so skewed in one teams favor theres almost no point watching and it diminishes the greatness of all players involved.

The people talking about injuries as no excuses are the same people who said it over and over again before this season.

Lakers will not win any ring. Rockets won 65 games in the regular season and folded when it mattered.

You people should not be castles in the sky. Lebron is 35 and AD is injury prone.
But it's fair enough to me for others to get their pound of flesh now considering what Warriors fans told them when they gave injury excuses for their teams.

The dilemma for the lakers. Kemba or Butler? Thats a tough one, Kemba is a better shooter which the lakers will obviously need but butler is an amazing defender, has loads of heart and is an all round dog. I guess it depends on who they sign to fill out the rest of the team. Finding the right fit is very important, more than just throwing in a bunch of stars together. I'd really like to see Javale, KCP and maybe bullock and rondo back. Everyone else can go. Get as many shooters as possible to replace them.

What an amazing position to be in.
So what changed? From the media saying nobody wanted to play with Bron to Lakers now awash with willing stars.

The crumbling dynasty changed everything, I think.

As for the warriors, the lakers winning next season is inevitable. I know they will claim its only cause kd and klay were injured. It has long been foretold.

Fate was like take Klay and Looney out. We won game 2. Take Looney back we lost games 3 &4 (dodgy officiating et al). Fate relaxes like Raptors got this. Then KD and Klay come back..we are leading healthy..fate takes KD..we still win. Game 6 we are winning healthy and are sure to win. Fate takes Klay out. At this rate, if we had won game 6. Steph would have lost his ankles and then Draymond would have been suspended.

Canada dear, I really do not think it's cool or ideal to inform ones cult members of ones renunciation. It's just like the case we started handling yesterday, we told him not to inform his members. First thing first is to deal with it spiritually before facing the physical. Of cos there are spiritual implications of all he did. So we have to deal with it spiritually first remember the spiritual controls the physical and there is no distant in the spiritual. So we tackle that aspect first. Now as we carry on with the spiritual of cos there will no more going for cult meetings or hits which buttress (shey d english correct sha) down to the physical exercise. Charms, weapons and whatever idols or items that symbolize the cult will be destroyed even down to regalia and other clothing associated. Sim cards and contacts will be destroyed too and of cos there will be change of environment as in relocation. The journey isn't always a easy one, usually rough but at the end, God will help them. They triumph. Just like someone who checks into rehab for drug or so, it's not always an easy journey for them but at the end of it all, they conquer.

You may have had a dysfunctional childhood or had childhood experiences that were painful, traumatic and frightening. Read childhood as from your conception to age 12. Or something traumatic may have happened in your adolescence.

So what's your story? You must have a story. Note that you may or may not be aware of this story as you may have been too young but your parents might know.

There are other things but this is a good start to get to the roots of your problem. Without getting to the roots and uprooting the things that are triggering fear in you any solution you get will be like applying band aid to an open wound.
