Business / Re: Nigerians Criticise CBN’s Reliance On Dangote Refinery To Fix Naira’s Free Fall by DeeMain(m): 6:56am On Oct 19, 2021
Caseless:
OK!

First of all, the guy complaining of how worthless oil will become in 2030 should quit the illusion he's served by the west. It will take another century for fossil fuel to phase out, that is, if it does eventually. I guess he does not know the energy crisis the world is "grappling" with right now. I don't think God has taken the value he's placed on fossil fuel away just yet. Until that happens, it will be here forever.

Again, the children of hate whose comments were highlighted in the report should quit their rage and face reality. They just hate that it's Dangote that the clueless Emefiele mentioned. How many places in the world do you have refineries owned by government?

We all know our country is bad at managing anything. If someone took the bold steps, he should be applauded because Nigerians will benefit more.

Nigeria is a nation that has leaders without vision. How do you explain our inability to even refine what we have in abundance? It's heartbreaking.

What if the whole serial refineries failure was planned and supervised so that we can come to this point where we have to give sole license to the one man messiah to save us?

Please can you name these alternative modalities?
Also how do you propose to fund the research on these alternatives?
I would really like answers cause I'm learning here.

Alternative Medicine: simply means other healing methodologies that are not orthodox medicine. When combined with orthodox medicine it is called Complementary medicine or Integrative Medicine. Examples:

Traditional Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture/Acupressure
Herbal Medicine
Energy Medicine/Energy therapy
Mind-body Medicine
MetaMedicine/German New Medicine
Homeopathy
Naturopathy
Chiropractic medicine
Osteopathic medicine
Massage therapies
Body movement therapies e.g. Yoga, tai chi, Qigong, dance therapy
Hypnotherapy
Electromagnetic therapy
Reiki
Aromatherapy
Reflexology
Biofeedback
Meditation/Visualization therapies
Healing prayers/Spiritual healing

The list is not exhaustive.

For funding: WHO, Governments, NGOs, Corporations, wealthy individuals. Same way medical science research is being funded.

Please what did medical science do wrong? This is a whole new virus, what else did you expect them to do?

A new virus. Medical science as the mainstream healthcare provider with all the funding and institutional support it receives couldn't handle it. We have already lost nearly 5 million. Think about that. 5 million!

So tomorrow another dangerous new virus comes and we start the same traumatizing death count and helpless resignation we just witnessed with corona?

There are many other alternative health modalities that have been efficacious for thousands of years and others that are relatively new that needs to be equally given big money research funding, developed, supported and given credibility if found to be efficacious.

With institutional funding these can be mainstreamed and can provide viable alternative solutions to future health threats. I have already talked about potential high level collaborations between medical science and these other modalities.

This is comedy grin you use a smart phone, watch basketball on a tv based on a signal been beamed several kms away, you used medications made by pfizer etc but you don't trust science on vaccines. Comedy

I wish you would read with more patience and an intention to understand. Do not project unto me.

1. I said that with nearly 5 million people dead because of corona that in my opinion Medical science failed in protecting or saving us, period. Vaccine or no vaccine.

2. That there is a well reported collusion between big pharma and medical experts in favour of amassing profits and at the expense of saving lives and a rot in the medical system over the years that need to be investigated.

3. I said there is a rising distrust of the medical establishment as a result and that the current anti-vax movement is partly a fallout of that.

4. I suggested research funding for alternative health modalities and collaborations between them and medical science as a way forward to avert a repeat of such a catastrophe in addition to the cleansing of the medical system I suggested earlier.

I agree with you on this. No doubt, big pharma is more interested in money than saving lives. And FDA has colluded with them on occasion. It is well known that former FDA officials land cushy jobs in the industry on retirement.

I would even take it further. Drugs like Ivermectin should have been studied by FDA before dismissing it. There are dozens of large scale studies in multiple countries going back decades that show it is safe, and can be used by humans. More recent studies have shown some effect against the virus.

With all that being said, it is still a stretch to use this to conclude that you wont take the vaccine. For every distinguished scientist that hates the vaccine, there are 100 distinguished scientist that approve it. No matter the corruption in big pharma, there is more safety in checks by 100 people versus one lone wolf.

Instead, I think what we have is the same phenomenon that birthed a Trump presidency. Some people have figured out how to weave half a dozen true facts into a web of lies. And they know how to addict and perpetuate it in people's minds. There is a technique to it, and I fear we will see more of this in the future. As in, you will see the blue sky, and someone will be convinced its not blue, its really red. Or that the earth is flat. We have 500,000 dead in one year from one virus, and you will still see people trying to excuse it embarassed

Lol. I agree with you.Your Trump analogy made me laugh.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by DeeMain(m): 8:15am On Oct 15, 2021
Having said that my opinion is that there is a reason a phenomenon like the anti vaxxers movement is on the rise. The reason:
Medical science failed us, simple.

One, nearly 5 million corona dead worldwide with all the trillions government and corporations are channelling into medical science. Big fail.

Which accounts for the rising level of distrust and suspicion and the willingness to seek other forms of medical help we are beginning to witness.

Have these deaths with any other unorthodox or alternative health methodology and the uproar would have deafened this universe.

Two, the much reported criminal collusion between big pharma and medical experts over the years should be thoroughly investigated and made public.

Trust is waning and questions are now being asked. That's what happens when experts and big pharma continuously manipulate research data to amass profit. People are beginning to question medical science and rightfully so.

As usual the white coat spell will not allow many of us question the medical profession on the rot in the system and why they failed the Corona big test. Big pharma and doctors are gods. Infallible. How dare you even think it to question them?

Having said that anti vaxxers are all over the place with their argument and their research. Big money NGOs should be set up to probe Big pharma and medical science and come up with more credible research as well as advance solutions to avert another repeat of this great Corona catastrophe.

Massive research funding should be provided for alternative health methodologies and the possibility of high level collaborations between medical science and alternative health methodologies explored.

This is not me invoking a landslide on medicine. They are doing a whole world of good and saving lives in many situations and aspects and we still need them but there is a decadence in the system that needs a putsch and reevaluation and yes we must ensure a repeat of this Corona deluge does not happen again.

We need a medical system we can trust again.

I believe this is partly behind some of the frustrations of many anti-vaxxers.

And no I am not an anti-vaxxer.

I think Kyrie is lost. I think he is still struggling with self definition. How can you be this insanely skilled and still let everything wash down the drain for next to nothing? The cause he claims to be fighting for(which I think is a cover up by the way) is way too small compared to the gift and glory he is giving up. And please don't compare him to Muhammed Ali.

Or is this about a gift and a curse?

When you are angry and want to speak, pause for a while and imagine what you want to achieve by your speech. Do you want to kill his self esteem or disrespect him or kill the love you have for each other or are you hurt about some mistake and want to correct it lovingly? That pause, followed by the thinking part will reset your emotions and centre you enough to talk to him lovingly.

South West is privileged in Nigeria and they are safe because the governors were pro active. When they lunched Amotekun, if the Eastern governors did the same, there would be no ESN by now. Amotekun secured south west and nobody wanted to secure south east of course they have to defend themselves legally or illegally. Self defence is a fundamental human right but they are been killed now for defending themselves and you are blaming them. Don't support evil, if not it will surely come to you.

Self defence is IPOB killing Igbos and starving Igboland, okwa ya? Ndi ara!

There were issues here and there concerning the herders in the SE bro but it wasn't up to one-tenth of what we had in the SW. But look at us now are we safer now than when IPOB started this killing madness? The answer is a Big NO. Indeed, we are now being compared to Bornu and Afghanistan where life is cheap and brutish.

it could have been worse without Nnamdi kanu. Suddenly every body has forgotten what Fulani herdsmen were doing in this region before, cutting people into pieces and raping women. I blame the governors that were slow and careless. There would not had been any ESN if Fulani herders were tackled. To every action, there is equal and opposite reaction.

It was not any worse. Igboland was predominantly peaceful and commerce was going on unhindered.

You and your likes gave an angry, insane and hateful MNK a voice and permission to rule over the Igbo nation and the result of that insanity is before us now.

Now the army, police, IPOB and ESN are using Igbos to count scores.

The army and police = reprisal attacks on Innocent Igbos because of ESN attacks.

IPOB and ESN = terrorist attacks on fellow Igbos to gain fearful compliance.

We warned of the consequences of a violent IPOB but no one listened.

God help Igboland.

None of these efulefus saw anything wring with that. None of them wrote articles to condemn that injustice. But in this 2021, they now have voice to call IPOB a terrorist group

All the years that peaceful IPOB protesters were gunned down in cold blood by the security forces means nothing to them, but they want everyone to believe they care so much about Igbos and Igbo land in this 2021

Those who make peaceful agitation impossible,
will make violent agitation inevitable

IPOB is using terror and threats of terror to enforce followership and compliance and this is not quite different from Boko Haram, ISIS and Taliban modus operandi.

No true son of Igbo land would there talk about bullshit about ipob, he's gone already, if because you're an elite you think God created your mouth to split out rubbish any time you like , ipob will close it for you, keep your opinion to yourself

That's the problem with IPOB and their strategy. You have declared all dissenting views and opinions that differ from IPOB's sabo. And you kill, threaten to kill, and plan to kill all sabo's in Igboland.

What is the difference between what you people are doing to dissenting voices and what Boko Haram is doing to people who don't align with them and their beliefs?

In the olden days in Igboland everybody had a say. Even today in our umunna, we have dissenting voices in our meetings but we will finally agree on a decision. Even at that some people may be angry at that agreed position. Do we kill those our dissenting umunna's? Was that how your village was built? Is this how you intend to build Biafra?

Igbos are republican in nature. Allow people share their opinion, let IPOB share their opinion and try to win people's heart's with superior argument.

Even people that committed taboos or committed grave offences against their land, like Joe Igbokwe, were banished, not killed.

Don't kill the Igbo spirit, please, I beg you people. That's what you people are doing.

Nah, I am not in any way saying CP3 is past it. He is not. He can still play bball and he is indeed a floor General. However, sometimes people conflate a part of something as the cause of that thing. This is essentially the reason why KD and Pippen got into a spat recently. KD was trying to show Pippen that because he was part of a successful team, does not mean he was the reason for that team. My post was to show that CP3 is a part of the Suns success and not the reason. When they blew out Denver, the narrative was that he was the reason. So God gave us a scenario to decide if it was so. He was out and the suns without him (essentially the bubble team) were up 2-0 against the Clippers. Had CP3 played those 2 games, he would have been earmarked as the reason they won the games when he was only a part of it. As for PG13 and his Clippers, you do have a point. But they did load manage most of the regular season and at this point have still played less games than the 2015/16 Warriors. If nobody gave that excuse for the Warriors, I will not tolerate it for the Clippers. What is good for the Goose, is good for Uganda grin

The way the Sun's players have been hyping his mentorship and leadership points to CP3 having a catalytic effect on their growth, maturity and belief. You do not have to play to affect your team's mentality. I think this is where CP3 has shone through. Leadership.
