I don't know why some people are just too impatient, the stated time is 11:45pm of 26:06:2020, and some are already complaining that the site is not opening. Is it 11:45pm?
Just be patient, selection is not done by first come first serve, haba! It's even wise to register after two days of opening the site, so that you would have studied the operation of things, and most of the Frequently Ask Questions would have been attended to for ease registration on your path and the site would be stable by then, because test running will still be going on the first day.
At least the registration will take up to a week if not two, so why the rush? Just calm down and don't put your information on scammers desk. |

atheistandproud: The processor or SoC (System on a chip) of a Smartphone can be thought of as the brain of that smartphone.
This processor contains several things. The most important of which are CPUs.
A CPU or Central Processing Unit is responsible for carrying out the tasks and managing the functions of your Smartphone computer.
Your Processor in your Smartphone may contain several CPUs.
Each of this CPUs inside the SoC are referred to as a CORE.
If a processor has:
1 CPU, it's called a Single Core processor
2 CPUs, it's called a Dual Core processor
4 CPUs, it's called a Quad Core processor
6 CPUs, it's called a Hexa Core processor
8 CPUs, it's called a Octa Core processor
10 CPUs, it's called a Deca Core processor
Types of CPUs for Smartphones (Android)
The main company that designs CPUs for all androids is called ARM.
They then sell their design to SoC retailers/manufacturers who then use the design by ARM to build their own Unique CPU.
There are two types of CPUs widely in use in the market now to build SoCs. They are:
1. The ARM cortex A50 series which are used for only light tasks such as making calls, scrolling through FB, WhatsApp chatting, reading an eBook etc. The A50 series consists of A53, A55 and A57
The exception here is the A57 core which is a powerful core used for heavy tasks. It is the predecessor of the A70 Series. (thank you @Naijasensei)
2. The ARM cortex A70 series which are used for heavy tasks like HD gaming, Video calls, Screen casting etc. The A70 series consists of A72, A73, A75, A76, A77
A77 is the best currently in the market.
A few questions people may want to ask...
1. Do more Cores equal a better performance? Well yes and no.
Yes because more CPU helps share the load of processing data and outputs the results faster making apps feel smoother and run faster.
No. Because sometimes more CPU cores isn't necessarily the answer. A Quad core A76/A55 CPU set will outperform an Octa core A57 set by far.
Then there's also optimization. This is when apps and tasks are tailor made to run smoothly on CPUs. This is why a Quad core iPhone may completely destroy an Octa-core midrange android device.
This answer to this question relies on you the individual looking at the CPU spec sheet as well as clock speed.
2. If two CPU cores are compared, is the one with the faster clock speed the best?
Well yes and no again.
Yes, if the two CPUs are of the same architecture e.g A72 Vs A72. They are both equal in every way so the only way to set them apart is the clock speed.
No. If the two CPUs are of different architectures e.g A73 Vs A76. If you like, dash the A73 a clock speed of 2.5GHz, an A76 of 2.0GHz will stroll pass it on a speedtest like Usain Bolt.
For any other question, please comment and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge.
Cheers. My question to atheistandproud, please what is the name of your main phone? |

DonroxyII: You can still join earlier and never pay attention .... That's what happened to me .... Youthful Exuberance ..... it's never too late to pick up and Boom ! I later got to know that it was Nairaland that a particular small guy was using when I got to know about Nairaland. I was in 500 level then and the guy was in 100 level, we most of the times coincidentally found ourselves reading in the same hall and also seating together during night reading, after the guy had read and feel like relaxing I always saw him closely to his phone. I kept wondering when I peeped from my side to see all the screen occupied with text and this Nairaland background colour, "what's he doing with all this text" was the question I was asking myself ceaselessly, he would once in a while scroll up and laughed. I knew he wasn't reading e-book and the interphase did not look like the convectional social media with pictures. I keep wondering because I've been seen him severely doing that. It was last year it popped up in my mind that Nairaland happens to be what this guy was using, if he maximized the good part of the forum, I'm sure he would have gained many things from the forum that will be of great advantage to him academically, socially, intellectually, etcetera. |

I came across Nairaland too late, that was after my undergraduate and NYSC days, it really pained me a lot. Had it been that I have come across the forum earlier, maybe before my undergraduate program commenced or at early stage of my undergraduate program, I would have got some senses that would have made me to make some tough decisions that would have better my life more most especially in the financial aspect. I have learnt so many things on Nairaland. Caught fun and still doing that, some people's testimonies and changed my orientation and views about life here.
Whenever I see some people's post that they have joined Nairaland for 11 years, I feel jealous of them, lol. |

lammylam: So I was in a friend's (a guy)shop some years back! Then another guy walked in, had a short conversation with my friend and left!
I loved what he was wearing and then he pulled down his hoodie and I fell in love with his hair!
When he left , I asked my friend who the guys was he told me, and I said the guy is cute sha!
2weeks later I went back to my friends shop with another famale friend of ours I then asked if the guy was gonna show up? He just laughed it off I then told him straight that I was crushing on the guy already! But I begged him not to tell the guy (deep down I wish he would tell the guy).
That same day! I saw this guy in my hostel! Apparently his Friend stays there too! He told me I looked familiar, I said yes and told him where and how!
To cut the long story short, my friend(the shop owner), told this guy I was crushing, this guy approached me later, asked for my number, and we got talking!(you know the rest) anyways its been 2years and 4months now and we are still dating It is practically impossible for a guy not to tell his friend what you told him to to tell his friend, you knew this and that was the reason you took your wise and mature approach of which I admire your boldness and sincerity. Males can't keep some secrets to themselves without revealing it to friends unlike the the opposite gender, a friend of mine was discussing some things that are highly confidential with me yesterday about his relationship and his side chick, the cheating on her babe is on another level, I was like can a lady discuss this thing with her closest friend. |
Family › Re: Who Else Has this Personality Disorder: What is the Name by Deepocean(m): 10:52pm On Jun 15, 2020 |
ModestGal: I have this personality I just discovered a year back. I don't know the name of the personality, it makes people perceive me wrongly, and I never knew all these years until I studied myself and learnt about it. I often do not do things averagely, its either I perfectly do things or don't at all. I would have called it a perfectionist, but the definition of perfectionist is quite different from me. For instance, its either I clean sparklingly clean and have it always clean or I leave it dirty Its either I draw perfectly well, or I don't.
Its like I pursue just perfection in almost everything and when I can't, I neglect.
I remember when I was in sec school, I would so much care for my objects or I leave it to rot. I used to wash my calculator whenever it has a stain, and when it got spoilt, I was given another one and I allowed it to rot because it was not even fine the first place.
In university, I would do my assignment in a perfect way, I was never zero in that. I would overdo to the extent I know how. During examination/test, I would over read, for instance, let's say there's a topic now that we just glanced over, that those that really owned it is in another department, I would go to that departmental library to read a whole textbook on it, meanwhile having a lot of my own course still left to read, doing this would make people wonder and think maybe my department is the most difficult in the whole university I'm a graphic artist, I would want to draw things perfectly, and whenever its my own personal job, I would end up wasting my time
I also sew cloths, that one is the worst,as I would correct to the last extremely insignificant error. It may just be a missed stitch, I could loose a whole cloth because of a meaningless error. Many atimes people would tell me to leave it, I might have left it but in the middle of the night, I might take the cloth and be wondering if I should leave the error, and later, I would secretly loose the cloth, correct it and resew.
The only thing that saves me if I do not know how to be perfect in a task,as in if I could not identify an error, then I would make it to the perfect way I know how to.
The problem is that it makes people perceive me wrongly, that is, people describe me in two opposite ways. For instance, Mr A, who knew me being super clean would describe me as a super clean person, and Mr B would describe me in an opposite way. Some people would say I'm not friendly or I do not talk, meanwhile some would say I'm a talkative Some would say I'm very dull while some others would say I'm very active and energetic, and when these two people meet and they see themselves describing me differently, they would start asking me funny questions of why. For instance, I was a completely two different persons during undergraduate and Masters. The master was the real me, the undergraduate was because I was not fortunate to meet or be with people I would want to converse with and thus, I became extremely quiet, and was in seclusion most times, but during Masters, I did my Masters in University of Ibadan, I met many great young intelligent people, every minute with them is like being in HEAVEN for me,and we would discuss in a lengthy way
Please if you know the name of my personalty disorder, kindly let me know so I can google it, and please help me with tips on how I can cope or solve this problem. Thanks I have almost all the personalities you described above, to add to this, I do perform a particular task everyday that I have committed a hour to, out of the 24 hours given to man by nature. Any day that I feel like not to perform this task, maybe as a result of fatigue or some other reasons of which should not be an excuse for a disciplined man I will rather not perform it at all, a part of my mind would tell me to still perform the task if it is just to last for 30 minutes or less. But I won't obey and prefer not to perform the task at all if it won't last for one hour. |

When I finished service and returned home, the experience wasn't palatable. Pressure coming from parents and the shame in the neighborhood was a big mess on me. I was confused and depressed. I summoned courage to leave my environment, I organized home lessons for primary school pupils and junior secondary school students to gather some money to move, this wasn't easy as I was running classes throughout the week not excluding Sundays, as I was gathering the money some expenses were surfacing which couldn't allow me to gather much. I've knew of a town in the neighboring state ánd I relocated I checked for secondary schools around and I got one, though the payment isn't encouraging at all. But it's better. I coupled this with acquiring photography skill. If I have money to set up with the business I will, but for now I can't. My Advice: You can do something similar, check for a town that has regular supply of electricity as the constant electricity will help you in many ways, even with the intending skill you wish to acquire. Don't go to a city if you don't have an understandable person to stay with (but I will advise you to try start your own life) at the same time don't go to a village, find a town that's not too expensive to go. All wil be well. |

sisisioge:

Sorry sis, most of the guys asking you to wait until after you've married them have things to hide. Things like: undersized peepee, errectile dysfunction, incompetence bedroom skills, mismatched libidos and other faults in their hardware that for better for worse won't give you the chance to redress. That's why they want virgin girls who can't tell the difference between their China products and correct German machines as she had no prior experience to juxtapose .
As a matter of fact, to reduce untoward disappointments here and there, every man with any hardware issues should do all he could to marry a virgin as they have no reference for comparison while every non virgin girl should ensure she knows what she's getting into before signing the deal. Issue resolved. A lady wrote this on her wall on Facebook, she's a nurse by profession. A man's penis remains the same, whether he has sex with different vaginas of different sizes. He doesn't even need to do kegels to keep his penis in its original state. It is strange that you find some women trying to compete with their men using their private parts. A penis does not lose shape, tightness or looks, but when you abuse your vagina, it eventually does. You'll start noticing that thing that looks like a liver sticking out and no longer retracting. Then you will start to fill up with air when you have sex. Then you will no longer feel certain dicks and only feel huge ones. Then you won't feel any dick at all. You will then go around saying so and so has a small dick, forgetting that you have a stadium between your legs and one man can never fill up the whole stadium. A man and a woman are not built the same. You can compete with him, but you will be the one who will get finished and not him. Ladies respect yourself. I rest my case....... |
