Well, if the judge can withdrew its judgement based on the grounds you’ve stated, then I think the judge acted legally. Again, withdrawing the judgement simply means there is going to be a retrial. So technically, there is no judgement to even appeal not to talk of stay of execution. It will be very very inappropriate for the appeal court to even hear the appeal not to talk of staying the decision. At best, an accelerated retrial should be ordered.

Every ruling of a court can be appealed, not just a final judgement. Such are called interlocutory appeals.

If the Bible is followed to the T, submission in the Bible is not a 'hard' concept. In fact, few verses before their favourite verse tells us to submit one to another.

School 1 says that verse is talking to the church as in all believers should submit one to another.

School 2 says it is in marriage then explains that wives submit whilst husbands love their wives. The love expected is defined in 1 Cor 13: 4 - 7 which if practiced 70% will create heaven for the wife.

However, 85% (I am feeling generous tomorrow) of professing 'Christian' husbands either have no encounter with Christ, lack love or are very legalistic or all three. Then combine with a version of Church teachings (worldwide) desperate to produce terrible husbands.

Interestingly, a number of churches teach suffering and endurance (of a wife) as a virtue that will be rewarded. How else will the wife be made virtuous if it isn't by producing demonic husbands?

The Bible is a collection of books and letters, poems and fantasies written by ancient men in a different era and there is much there that is certainly not to be applied to any sane modern life.

There is something wrong with the teaching of submission in the first place. A marriage should be a partnership of equal respect.
