The problem is that at scale, sub-saharans do not have the wherewithal to create what is not native to them. It is clear-eyed reality.
What do you mean by the bold. Be specific. Do you mean civilization?

Admit it, if we emptied the UK and filled it with Nigerians, it would decline rapidly until it was a facsimile of Nigeria. It wouldn't hold as is, and it wouldn't get better. Likewise if you emptied Nigeria and filled it with people who grew up in a WDN (of whatever ethnicity), within a decade it would be transformed beyond the levels and imagination of any current SSA nation. Gainsay that all you like!
This is actually very true in a sense and if you cannot spot or understand exactly why it is true and exactly why it says alot against the argument that developing nations of today should magically photocopy the development of developed nations, then you dont know anything and you dont pause to think.

SA will soon regress to the days of Shaka Zulu grin

This is emotional nonsense you have started with your gutter level understanding.

Being an immigrant does not mean you must support unlimited or badly controlled immigration.

many immigrants support stricter immigration because they understand the value of legal, orderly migration.

She s not anti-immigration simply because she criticizes mass immigration or failed integration.

It is like saying someone who entered a house legally is a hypocrite for wanting the door locked afterward. No serious country works that way.

Someone speaking good English is also accused of trying to be white in the US. So calling her trying to be white is just lazy racial policing. Racism is what you guys have as blood running in your veins.

Black person is only authentically black if she agrees with left-wing views on immigration, Britain, race, and Nigeria? That is your gutter-level reasoning here.

criticizing Nigeria is not insulting her homeland to score points. Many Nigerians criticize Nigeria every day because corruption, insecurity, bad governance, and institutional failure are real issues. Bayelsaowei is a champion of that. Why is it suddenly betrayal when Kemi says it?

Go after her policies. Fine. But she wants to be white and she is sucking up to the establishment is not an argument. Starmer is the establishment and she roasted him.

The establishment wants mass migration which is why opposition parties are sweeping Europe. It is just an attempt to shame a black woman for not speaking the way you want black people to speak.
I dont have the desire to engage in detail. But note that Kemi, like anti-immigrationists in the USA, is not just against illegal immigration or even "uncontrolled immigration" whatever that means.

Kemi is a good leader, she speaks the truth, though Not perfect.

Starmer, Kemi, other politicians lie as you claim. I agree. Why do you not like Kemi? Why attack her?

Because she speaks the truth as a British citizen right? You don't like the truth.

She is black but that's not important once she starts to speak the truth.
There will always be something nauseating about people who -

1. Are immigrants but anti-immigration. You climb a wall and wish to stop others of your kind from doing same.

2. Hypocritically try to make themselves "white"

3. Repeatedly insult their homeland to score points in the minds of an establishment they are sucking up to.

I have some long held positions that I will not change unless I'm really convinced . The same should apply to you.
Shoot.
Now Know ye all men that this TREATY OF SOBER PEACE AND REASON is herewith signed this 15th day of May 2026 Anno Domini.
Wherefore it is agreed as follows.

1. A serious, balanced sober and rational attempt shall be made to convey points of view on general issues under discussion on this thread.

2. Extremist positions shall be avoided

3. Racist posts, race baiting, race triggering insults, shall be avoided

4. A moratorium on adopted entrenched perceptions of one another being expressed in order to aid focus and reasoning.

5. A commitment to honestly answer simple questions rather than deflect or ignore them.

6. Mutual respect and humility.

7. Discussants shall strive to be studious, thoughtful and scholarly in their output.

This Treaty to remain in force for one week only and if not renewed maximum hostilities of the most childish, irrational and belligerent nature shall at once resume ( . . grin . . )

Who else is amenable to joining this treaty?

North Korea trajectory is unlike any other country in modern history The founder is a deity, his son is a deity and the present grandson one is the holy priest.

A contradiction. If a homogeneous society is more likely to develop than one which is not. Why then do you support immigration?

The Uber wealthy in the society ,this is my theory. All get their wealth from the poor downtrodden in the society. Manufactured goods are consumed by the majority of the population. You can extrapolate this to luxury goods. Make money selling Lamborghinis ,your buyers sell indomie, rice ,sugar and toothpaste.

If the white South Africa produce everything, majority of their customers are the black . That's the area govt needs to look at. The mass population is the economic driver.
South Africans have a higher income per Capita than the rest of Africa, they found systems and structures in place . Are they destroying these systems. For example the judiciary.
There is absolutely no reason black owned businesses and should not be doing well.
A penny for your thoughts.
Since you said "a penny for your thoughts" I will seize upon this to propose a treaty with you. A treaty of sober peace and reason. Are you open to such a treaty? If so, then we should make efforts to eschew extremist positions and reason as lucidly and objectively as possible, with the openness and humility of mind to concede to superior argument and that which we do not know, and the willingness to change views and adapt. Is this something you can see yourself doing? If it is, then let us begin to reason together under such a treaty. If you are game, I will propose further terms of such a treaty.

Korea didn't take 30 years to radically develop their country.
Apples for apples. Korea didn't have a majority society broken by apartheid. It is literally a small homogenous place

And even then, what about North Korea?

The way people make comparisons are just shocking. Every day I see people use Singapore as an example against Nigeria for example. Singapore is literally one city. Nigeria is a nation cobbled together from over three hundred distinct ethnic groups of very disparate world views.
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by DeepSight(m):
GracieX3:
Lol......
1. apartheid lasted 42 years (1948 to 1990) far longer than the 30 years that you expect free blacks to do miracles.

2. The effects of apartheid are still felt today. Just imagine the fact that whites own 72% of individually owned farmland.

3. Even the world bank points out the income disparity amongst racial lines. This is a legacy of segregation.

As usual, you expect blacks to excell in hardship and never blame whites for their enjoyment of blood money.
I don't know what to say to them. They literally expect black people to succeed in a vacuum, by that I mean, as though they exist in a state where nothing affects their present tense from the past. As though they were just dropped from heaven in 1994 without any baggage, without any massive economic and social disadvantage and bias, without any educational, housing bias and expected to succeed immediately even when it took centuries for those they compare them with to achieve what they did.

In the life of a nation thirty years is tiny. Even Nigeria which we condemn so much has had 66 years and that is still tiny in relative terms. Every nation MUST fight its internal contradictions and even itself out psychologically to assert a sense of peaceful identity before it can meaningfully develop. This is a process that took European nations many centuries. In Africa with the forced unity and divisions bestowed by colonialism we are expected to magically arrive at that place of peaceful and patriotic identity overnight and copy and paste the progress which took the west centuries of blood and rage.

Of course human societies don't work that way, they are not a sheet of paper which can be photocopied, they are living, energetic things with a psychology, with emotions, with biases, with needs of every kind and even with insecurities and weaknesses of course. And when we state the obvious that such requires time to mature, we are badly misquoted by someone like TV01 as saying that it will take forever, and saying that blacks cannot develop of their own or make an effort or be responsible.

Overall what is most telling in this matter is that consistently, they make excuses for the worst atrocities of white people and jump down on even the most basic and normal facts concerning black people.

It is sheer madness not to know that a traumatized society like black South Africa would require serious time to even out its contradictions and assert itself into growth and development at an even pace.

What sane adult will claim not to know that?

I once asked DeepSight what more the US should do for the blacks, he couldn't answer.

The leftists are the biggest problems the blacks have. No racism is worse than taking away the individual and collective responsibility of people.
They tell the blacks, "You are poor so you can be excused for being violent, killing your babies, abandoning your child.
But blame the white man and ask him to fix you.
How about telling the black man "the whites are not holding you back. You are the cause of your backwardness and only you can fix you.

Black-majority rule kicked in barely a generation ago and SA is already a failing state. Deepsight argues they need time, and can't say how much. As if of a necessity, it has to get worse - to the point of failure - before it gets better huh.

It was a fully functioning modern state. It has now regressed to Naija levels, and spiralling. Nothing new had to be invented. Just continue as was. If they knew they couldn't run it why not transition in an orderly fashion? So now we know, power =\= wherewithal.

The blacks have been in charge in SA for just three decades and you are ready to condemn them as useless. What is thirty years in the life of a nation - especially one just starting from such a long period of suppression?

People like Deepsight and his gang think that the black solution should come from a change in behaviour of the whites. But that's a wrong, lazy and irresponsible way to view the world.

Can blacks be great? Yes but only when they take responsibility and start making the necessary changes.

Yes there have been historic injustice done to blacks but I am more impressed by the historic victories given to blacks.

Slavery was ended , segregation was ended, apartheid was ended. The only question now is what do we do with these victories?
I put in bold just one word. "Given."
With just one word, the struggle of the many slave revolts and slave uprisings is thrown away.
With just one word Nelson Mandela's 27 years in prison is thrown away, along with all the fights, struggles, deaths and sacrifices to boot.

With that one word, the entirety of the Civil Rights Movement and the work of many black heroes is trashed.
"Given." Blacks were simply "given." They didnt stand up, struggle and fight.

What a shame.

I would not have responded because I have given up on you in particular, but that word "given" was too odious to let be.
Enjoy.

------------------------
*A Few Major Slave Uprisings and Rebellions -

Slave uprisings in American history were significant acts of resistance that challenged the institution of slavery, often resulting in profound legal and social shifts in both the North and the South.

Here are the most significant slave uprisings in Black American history:

1. The New York City Conspiracy (1712)
One of the earliest recorded uprisings in the colonies, this revolt involved about 23 enslaved Africans who set fire to a building and attacked white settlers as they arrived to extinguish the flames.

Outcome: The militia captured the group; 21 participants were executed. It led to much harsher "slave codes" in New York.

2. The Stono Rebellion (1739)
Taking place in South Carolina, this was the largest slave uprising in the British mainland colonies prior to the American Revolution. Led by an enslaved man named Jemmy, about 20–80 insurgents marched toward Spanish Florida, where they had been promised freedom.

Outcome: The rebels were intercepted by a white militia. In response, South Carolina passed the Negro Act of 1740, which restricted enslaved people from assembling, growing their own food, or learning to read.

3. Gabriel’s Conspiracy (1800)
Gabriel Prosser, a literate enslaved blacksmith in Richmond, Virginia, planned a massive organized attack on the city to demand abolition. He intended to lead thousands of followers to the capitol.

Outcome: Heavy rains delayed the plot, and two nervous participants betrayed the plan to their masters. Gabriel and 25 others were hanged. The event terrified the Southern elite, leading to increased restrictions on free Black people and the education of the enslaved.

4. The German Coast Uprising (1811)
Occurring just outside New Orleans, this was the largest slave revolt in U.S. history in terms of participants (estimated between 200 and 500). Led by Charles Deslondes, the group marched along the Mississippi River, burning plantations and chanting "Freedom or Death."

Outcome: They were met by a well-armed militia and federal troops. The suppression was brutal; many rebels were killed in battle or executed afterward, their heads placed on pikes along the river to deter further rebellion.

5. Denmark Vesey’s Conspiracy (1822)
Vesey, a formerly enslaved man who won a lottery to buy his freedom, organized a sophisticated plan in Charleston, South Carolina. He used the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church as a base to recruit thousands of followers for a coordinated strike on the city's arsenals.

Outcome: The plot was leaked by a domestic servant. Vesey and 34 others were executed, and the AME Church in Charleston was razed to the ground.

6. Nat Turner’s Rebellion (1831)
This is perhaps the most famous uprising. Nat Turner, a self-styled prophet and preacher in Southampton County, Virginia, believed he had received divine signs to begin a crusade against slavery. He and his followers killed approximately 55 to 60 white people over two days.

Outcome: The rebellion was crushed by the state militia. Turner went into hiding for six weeks before being captured and executed. The event sparked a wave of "white panic," resulting in the murder of hundreds of innocent Black people by mobs and the passage of even stricter laws across the South prohibiting education and religious gatherings.

Please stop.

I've already pointed out the shallowness and ultimate futility of your argument.
https://www.nairaland.com/4508641/american-politics-thread-trump-47th/6045#139313829\

Firstly, no one denies there has been historic injustices, or even ongoing discrimination against minorities. That does not mean that there are no in-group pathologies that are hampering FBA's and those should not be addressed.

Secondly, that's not even proof that extant discrimination s the major factor holding FBA's back. Other minorities are able to rise above and flourish despite disadvantages. And, FBA's would be served better by striving against all odds and not cloaking themselves in the cape of victimhood - hint, it's not a superpower. It's an enervator, a block to self-reflection and only serves to widen the gap.

Thirdly, your "it's all about historic injustice and can't be solved until an unquantifiable amount of time has passed, robs them of the moment, the ability to seize the day, absolving them of the responsibility to make real progress under their own steam - regardless of what others do, say or think of them.

As does your "all the causal factors are external to the people and have been explained by scholarly research". Not too mention your "blacks can;t flourish until racism ceases to exist. Because Juice don't lead in pretty much everything of note, despite being fewer than FBA's and literally having half the world against them.

The bolded is the hallmark of a real people, a viable nation. It's why nonsense talk of carving out a self-sustaining black nation within the US is the most laughable pipe dream.

Listen carefully. To live in a developed country FBAs need white people and the order and structure they afford. They (FBAs) simply don't have the collective wherewithal or critical mass as it stands to go it alone. And deep down they know it - and so do you, and all those who flee native black countries for western nations kiss.

Ambode was much more than that

The man was sacked by fashola as accountant General (imho because he was running a parallel set of books and funneling money to tinubu) tinubu ordered the sack reversed and rewarded Ambode later with governship

But ambodes first moves were

a service wide purge of senior officials who had worked with fashola,

a naija governor move where he abandoned all ongoing initiatives in favor of his own (this included the Lagos badagry expressway)

Blocking avenues for chop that he had enjoyed in his own time

Being an all around power drunk a hole.

And there is a story that Ambode had a phone call with tinubu and forgot to hang up and was trash talking tinubu for several minutes to his loyalists.

Ambodes story is looooong.
I remember the abandonment of the Badagry Express and many projects. He was also a lone ranger in his greed and tended to micro manage by placing a very low bar for approvals by commissioners beyond which all monies had to be approved by him. I dont want to mention what I heard that bar was, as its embarrassing.

God opened my eyes this morning, and I saw huge cobwebs all over my house.

I had a dream where my long-time enemy came to my house, and he said if I were aware that he was attacking me. I said, "Of course," or he thinks I don't know all this while.

Somehow I woke up and started praying. I then light my prayer candle. I have a lot of Christian songs, but in that moment I was looking for a mixed foreign Christian song that is soothing like blues.

I find one. Which lasted for 2 hours 30 minutes. After praying I use it to sleep as it was playing from my phone while my prayer candle was on.

I woke up this morning as I closed my eyes just lying down; I saw huge cobwebs all over my apartment with big, big spiders. The type you can't move around without them touching you.

But they are not visible to ordinary eyes.

I am just thinking how to remove them since they are not a physical thing.
One of two things. They could be thought-forms, in which case you just need to change your thought patterns. Otherwise they could be a hallucination.

Catapault:
Why are you trying to pretend he doesn't?

Do you know Tinubu is the first President to order the GEOMAPPING of Nigeria's mineral resources, which is a prerequisite for attracting world class investment in the mining sector?

GEOMAPPING is a long, difficult, and expensive process of locating, identifying, measuring and quantifying the entire mineral resources of a country.

The reason Nigeria is not a mining giant like South Africa today is due to lack of GEOMAPPING.

No serious investor puts money into mining based on incomplete data.

TINUBU is the first to do it.

Is that reported anywhere in the news?

Nope.

Not sensationalist enough. Too positive. Too boring.

Do you know that Tinubu is transforming the civil service to mirror his nationalist 'Buy Nigerian' policies?

Over 1000 new Procurement Officers have been trained in 'Nigeria First' policies and will ensure that Procurement and contracting favour NIGERIAN suppliers over foreign suppliers.

This will reduce capital flight and boost productivity in a big way in coming years.

These are the sort of visionary policies Tinubu is executing.

He is a technocrat and visionary who sees the big picture.

They are very "boring" policies that don't trend on Tiktok, but they are the policies that determine whether this country will work or not.

Elect any of these criminals insulting Tinubu, and they will just come back to their usual sharing of money and doing nothing.

OBJ, why didn't he embark on GEOMAPPING?

Does he not know we have minerals?

By now we would have been earning trillions of Naira from our mineral wealth.

2. You are being paid to write what you write

3. Idiocy.
