All the cases are now meaningless. The USA is a very strange country. The only country in the world in which a convict can contest and win the presidency. No where else is such nonsense allowed. |

Kukutente23: They changed the laws to make it look like he wanted to defraud people by running for election. Presidential election is Federal not state. Please specify the law they changed. How do you mean he won He's not yet won, but its almost certain. It will take more than a miracle for Kamala to win at this stage. and why do you congratulate me? I'm not his family member nor Republican. You lean heavily towards him. Heavily. I just detest the lies being spread against him. For example, are you aware of the lies spread that he called for execution of Liz Cheney? Or was aired on most left media I agree there are instances where the opposition deliberately makes a caricature of what he has said. What he said on Liz Cheney was simple. He was saying that its easy to be a warmonger while sitting in the comfort of your office, but how would you feel if the guns were pointed at you. Nothing wrong there. However someone did point out that he could be slyly using a certain tactic ("Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?" ) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_no_one_rid_me_of_this_turbulent_priest% Nonetheless I agree he was misquoted and taken out of context. This also happened with the "very fine people on both sides" statement. It was badly misrepresented. However these instances do not take away the inumerable atrocious things Trump has said. |

LastGiantAlive: But the system has delivered Barack Obama, may even deliver Kamala this time around while our own system we're using here has been delivering total idi ots since 2015. If Nigeria was a serious country, we would adopt electoral college system and reduce Ibadan and Ekiti electoral votes to 1 each. Illiterates in those states should not be determining who governs a country like ours with the stupid decisions they make every election cycle. Be ready for Kano to have 1000 votes. |

silverkings: why have we not inserted this electoral vote pattern in Nigeria
It makes sense for me Perhaps you dont understand it. Its a horrible system. ------ I understand all the arguments made in favor of a "spread" but there is more than one way to skin a cat. There are several ways in which a spread can be ensured, without resorting to a system in which a person with less votes can be declared winner. That is an absurdity that must be avoided at all costs in a democracy otherwise it simply is not a democracy. For crying out loud, right here in Nigeria we dealt with the problem of ensuring a spread by saying that the winner must have a minimum of 25% in two-thirds of the states.
However you do it, you must not, and I repeat, must not, declare a person with less votes the winner of an election.
That turns the universe upside down.
A thing that is intrinsically wrong is the very principle of awarding all the electoral college votes in a state to the winner in the state (which is what happens in most states - save Maine & Nebraska). That is a horribly perverse principle which disenfranchises people. Just imagine, if you win a state by so much as one vote, you take all the electoral college votes for that state and the opponent gets zero.
That is worse than black magic, it is sheer voodoo and the most reprehensible form of juju. |

cococandy: Testosterone is the hormone that increases emotional lability, mood disturbances, irritability and irrational behavior.
I admire Nancy. Whatever makes her who she is, I promise you it’s not a male hormone. Your male hormones ruling the world is the reason why the world is burning down today. No pause for thought. Just gra gra without assessing the possible consequences on others.
Now pls leave me alone. But on this I must tell you that man and woman are quite something. I am quite sure of my history when I say that many wars have been quietly instigated by women, for women, or to impress women. The man and woman thing is a mystery. I personally think only a hasty person will conclude hastily that its all about man. Woman dey deeeeeeeeeeeeeep. |

cococandy: Kamala didn’t win then. Now she’s won. Primary or not, people are willing and enthusiastically supporting her. So I don’t know what makes you think they wouldn’t have supported her otherwise.
2020 is not 2024. Pelosi would’ve crush Trump in a debate. Maybe
Kamala did crush Trump in a debate. That’s a fact.
If you don’t want to be emotional about politics, how about you state the facts then? This primary thing is even overblown. Two people were on a ticket as Presidential Candidate and Vice Presidential Candidate. It stands to reason that if the Presidential Candidate dies, becomes incapacitated or steps down, the Vice Presidential Candidate should step in. Its not as if they went and fetched a stranger from Kathmandu. |

cococandy: It’s so innate and deeply ingrained even in the best of us. One has to actively and consciously push against it for progress to happen.
No one will tell a man he’s built like a woman and that should make him a good leader. Just so comfortable disrespecting women There are just so many ridiculous ingrained ideas. The way a man will sleep around with 1000 sex workers and never be shamed, but a woman who sleeps with one or two men will be called a wh.ore, for example. Dont let one even start with Islam. |

A woman just has to be 100x better to even qualify and they still think it’s a difficult choice.

cococandy: Yes. A lot more female candidates will be voted into power in the future. Kamala is the first and she has paved the way for them.
Most of the republicans you guys support WILL NEVER in a 100 years support a female candidate. So it’s ironic that women who think women can lead will support the republicans most whom think women should be in the kitchen. That there are many women with leadership virtues is absolutely beyond cavil. |

cococandy: So she has to be built like a man to be able to lead?
You people don’t even attempt hide your disrespect and hatred for women anymore Misogyny is a very real thing. But beyond misogyny, there is a passive kind of dismissal which misses many people, and in which they dont even realize they are diminishing women and their humanity. A very intelligent female friend of mine once told me something heartbreaking. She said that she was reading a book as a child and came across a strange line which she immediately drew her father's attention to. It spoke of something that happened to "three people and a woman." |

cococandy: Their conservatism is about conserving the whiteness of the country. The creep, Ann Coulter, comes to mind. I will never forget a show where a member of the audience stood up to ask her if her ancestors were not also immigrants to America. She responded saying, "oh no, they were not immigrants, they were settlers."This same priceless piece of humanity happily informed Vivek Ramaswamy that she could never vote for him since he is not white. And that still didnt open his eyes. He is still following Trump around. |
