The Average Nigerian man of today expects his wife/girlfriend to not depend on him financially, she should be an independent woman, she should be like the women from the west who would pay the bills when they both go out on a date.

On the other hand, the average Nigerian man of today wants a humble, loyal and submissive woman a woman who MUST NOT behave like women from the west who would challenge his authority as head, argue with him and even give him a slap when the argument becomes intense, no, mba. In other words they want gender equality but do don't want gender equality.
Isn't this the greatest hypocrisy of all times?

All religion has its excesses, a pastor slapped a teenage girl claiming he was casting witchcraft out of her, all his members came out in full to support him, T.B. Joshua after killing 150 souls have refused to honor the invitation of the inquest and his members are fully backing him, a pastor divorced the third woman or so in his life and said God instructed him to do so,his church is still open with members growing in capacity, Boko Haram is busy killing people in the North in the name of God...I can go on and on.

I became a free born the day i deleted religion and its issues from my life. I just want to live right and die happily.

Yes, years back when i lost my Dad, she was insensitive to my plight, i was weighed down by the emotional trauma and the burden of my fathers death,i raised my hand on her but sincerely i was high on alcohol that very day and regretted my action.

Have u ever Said very insultive words especially during a heated argument. Yes, i remember using words that i can put out here.

What about the once in a while cheating part,how do you balance having time for ur family and these flings.
At the early stage of our marriage i had a side chic, i was very careful about it, never spent the night outside, finds time to play out but i must tell u it brought so much distraction to my marriage and my life..I must tell you it is not worth it. Staying faithful to once partner gives you a sense of pride, value, respect and dignity..Married for 10yrs now.

Today, the 7th of October happens to be my lover’s birthday, I need a special assistance from nairaland. It is my hope that this makes front page and that nairalanders would grant me the special favour I am about to ask.

The lady I speak about is none other than the mother of my other love, a special gift, a child every dad would be proud of.

We have been dating with occasional hiccups and breaks from say 2009, but it happened she got pregnant in September 2013 and we both agreed we were keeping the child, we were abused, envied and all that but we both waded through it till of recent.

She had always wanted a break which I wasn’t ready to grant. Unfortunately in august while I was away in camp, she packed up and left the house. I thought it was one of those tantrums which would be overcome with time, but this has proven really different and I am horribly frustrated.
Even though I know I could have messed things up, I do not believe anything I could have done is enough to justify the torment I am undergoing. I am more like a man hanging on the noose without knowing what his crime is. Right now, I am not interested in wat happened, I just want a fresh start, I want a chance to be with the two people I have come to love dearly outside my immediate family.
I believe that going by the strength we overcame the unplanned conception of our child, nothing on earth can overcome us if we will. Whatever it is that is needed to be done by me, both now and in the future, I am willing to do to have you back now and for life. The people coming between us can only imagine what we passed through and can only be there for a moment. Whatever happens now will have far reaching impact on the three of us especially and those who are likely to come around.

My special request to nairalanders is to bombard her phone with text messages first wishing her a blissful birthday and asking her to make forgiving or atleast communicating with me a birthday deed.

I am surprised at the heap of venom stirred at the OP.

He has basically highlighted an irritating display of unwarranted and unsolicited breach by service providers who send spam SMS to subscribers in dozens on a daily basis. One of the corresponding consequence of these unsolicited SMS is the natural reaction to ignore the SMS tone since the world no longer trends by SMS but through other social medial chatting platforms. Though some of us may take a peep at all times to check all Text messages as they come, there is no denying the fact that we assume the service providers are at work again, since 90% of received SMS these days are from them.

What stunned me, is the OP's patience to chronicle all of the SMS for the purpose of the topic!

MTN didn't make you lose the job, you are lazy and think whining on nairaland is more important than reading your sms's. You can also find out how to block unsolicited sms messages.

Opening a thread with the meticulous effort you put into this post does not portray you as a serious job seeker.
