If the monies they lavish is suppose to be the common wealth of the people, how come they flaunt their wealth to the whole world? Shouldn't that be considered corruption?

But the indidivduals have to sell their refined products at a profit...which is why subsidy can be removed....because under subsidy they would be forced to sell at a loss to help the poor.

Otherwise there is going to be scarcity whoever is in charge because the price controls inherent in subsides will prevent profits being made which would lead to scarcity

The free money from subsidy leads to corruption and stealing.

The mass smuggling of cheap fuel means we lose billions for nothing. Mass smuggling that both big and small people do

And it is obvious that 50 years of subsidy has resulted in the decline of domestic refining capacity.

Remove subsidy. Let the market control the price. Just like we do for other things

You guys are deceitful. The two major political parties cancelled zoning when clearly it was the turn of the igbos to become president. Then Obi decamped and was suddenly given Labour Party presidential ticket in platter of gold without challenge.

Someone some-where is playing a chess game with the future of igbos and Peter Obi is part of the game. This is to make it look like Igbo's participated in the elections. Knowing fully well he will loose.

"Those who have had me talk ceaselessly about the benefits of allowing a young person take the reins of power as Nigeria's president have often wondered why I have been so passionate," Professor Imumolen said on Tuesday.

"But the truth is that we need a new generation of youthful leaders who would be ready to give their all for the overall betterment of this country.
"The emergence of Rishi Sunak as Britain's Prime Minister is a significant message to the countries of the world, particularly Nigeria that the era of relegating the youth in the general scheme of things is over.
