Politics › Re: Borno Gov Donates Sambisa Forest For RUGA by Deepthoughts: 9:36am On Aug 14, 2019 |
ovadozes: Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara, has donated some parts of the enclave of the Boko Haram, Sambisa forest, for the controversial Rural Grazing Area (RUGA) programme.
The governor also mobilised the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Agro Rangers and hunters to secure the large expanse of the forest and make it safe for the scheme.
The allocated area (forest) covers six council areas of Konduga, Bama, Gwoza, Chibok, Damboa and Askira/Uba.
The governor made the decision public last Monday when he hosted the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Garbai El-Kanemi, who paid him Sallah homage.
He said the deployment of agro rangers, vigilantes and hunters are to protect farmers and herders in their respective communities.
Umara told the monarch that the state government would also deploy an Emergency Rapid Response Team (ERRT), comprising of security personnel, to protect commuters and rural dwellers against Boko Haram insurgents and bandits.
According to the governor, “This administration is determined to strengthen the security architecture to encourage farming and herding activities across the state.
“We’re also distributing 80 patrol vehicles to the response team so that farmers, herders and commuters could move as well as travel within a radius of 30-40 kilometres of Maiduguri metropolis.”
Umaru said the security response team, comprises 500 troops and hunters that know the terrain of the forest.
On RUGA implementation, he said: “About 75 trained agro rangers and 300 hunters will also be mobilised next week to enable farmers cultivate their farmlands that were prevented by terrorists’ activities.
“The state government is determined to address the root causes of insurgency through improved security; fight against drug abuse and enhance food security with increased job creation among unemployed youths.”
He revealed that the state government had also embarked on vegetation and bush clearance of 187-kilometre Maiduguri-Damboa-Biu road, noting that the exercise would ensure safety of travelers and motorists to ease movements of goods and services in the state.
The governor also directed the immediate demolition of illegal structures in the metropolis, adding that the structures are suspected to be used by prostitutes and illicit drug dealers, and must be checked to sanitise the state capital.
In his response, the monarch, who commended the governor, called for an effective security measures along with the demolition of illegal hotels in Maiduguri.

Politics › Re: Non-provision Of Foreign Exchange: “leave CBN Alone” — Moghalu Tells Buhari by Deepthoughts: 8:52am On Aug 14, 2019 |
Priscy01: Kingsley Moughalu, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has faulted President Buhari's directive on non-provision of foreign exchange for food importation.
Recall that President Buhari while hosting APC Governors at his hometown in Daura, said his directive to the CBN to starve food importation of foreign exchange stemmed from the steady improvement in agricultural production and attainment of full food security.
However the former Presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) rubbished President Buhari's order and further pointed out that the CBN is an independent body which should be left alone to discharge its functions, Igbere TV reports.
Moughlau stated that the political interference in CBN's economic policies leads to poverty and also weakens institutions.
He tweeted; “Is @cenbank now a ministry to be “directed” by President @MBuhari ? Article 1(3) of the CBN Act 2007 states ‘In order to facilitate the achievement of its mandate under this Act…the Bank shall be an independent body in the discharge of its functions.
“The issue here isn’t whether or not CBN should allow access to forex for food imports. It is about whether such an economic policy of a central bank should be imposed by a political authority. A major reason for our poverty, instability and weak economy is weak institutions.
“Our marketplace should be regulated and guided in a rational manner that creates a level playing field. Our economy will not be saved by Ad Hoc political decisions like this, handed down by the very institutions that should be shielded from the whim and caprice of politicians.
“Nigeria’s entire economy appears to have been sub-contracted to our central bank, including industrial and trade policy. In the process the economy has fared poorly and the Bank has lost its independence. This is sad!
“@NGRPresident should leave @cenbank alone to discharge its mandate independently within the ambit of the CBN Act, and stop “directing” it. @cenbank should on its part assertive its independence (assuming it actually believes it should be independent, but the Act says so, clearly!”

wirinet: It's not going to happen that both parties present igbo candidates for president. It would even be impossible for either PDP or APC to present an igbo candidates. The igbos don't have much political capital at the moment. They don't have one political figure they can unify under, not even 10. They don't have a discernable political agenda. Some want Biafra, some want president, others want political appointments ,others still want physical and economic developments. Then worse still, there is voter apathy in the south east. So the voting strength in the East is poor, even when compared to the south south.
The presidency was not given to the yorubas on a platter of gold. They have been fighting for it from the time of Awolowo culminating in the June 12 impasse. The north was presented with no choice but to concede power to the south west. Where is the igbo struggle for power. After the January 1966 coup and take over by general ironsi, we have not seen a strong igbo bid for power - both politically or otherwise. I agree with you totally but nothing is impossible,it only requires hard work, with the characters in igbo land today it's surely an uphill task though. |

In 1999, the PDP which had 'Zoning' in it's constitution zoned it's ticket to the SOUTH (not S/West in particular), accordingly the following presidential aspirants slugged it out in the 1999 PDP Jos Convention,
Gen Olusegun Obasanjo Dr Alex Ekueme Chief Jim Nwobodo Dr Phillips Asiodu Chief Don Etiebet Graham-Douglass.
The APP and AD went to an alliance such that the AD produced Olu Falae as the Presidential candidate and APP produced Mallam Umaru Shinkafi as the Vice presidential candidate. Did I mentioned any party been force ? |

Is that fair to the other regions who have the inalienable constitutional right to contest for power and are junketting across the country to lobby and create goodwill?
You mentioned that PMB is not sympathetic to the Ibo political plight; the question is have igbos ever been sympathetic to his own political plight since he started contesting?
2019 was supposed to be a North-North candidacy, can you explain why Moghalu and Durotoye also contested? The question is how are these political blunders being corrected in order to give the south east more political relevance? I'm not igbo but a Christian minority from the middle belt, well it's really up to the igbos identify n correct their political blunders n forge a common front, but for complete national healing, equity, fairness n federal character personally I would want a situation where both parties i.e Apc n pdp will both zone their candidacy to the SE to avoid further rancor n subsequently more division of the country along our fault lines. The igbos should have stood firmly for the north to complete their second tenure in 2011 after the Demise of yar'adua so that 2015 would have been theirs for taking but lack of political foresight made them to loss a good opportunity, when Apc was formed n the SE were invited to join, okorochas greed prevented the igbos from joining as strong unit under a concrete political arrangement, they didn't vote massively for pdp in 2015,they have remained in disarray since then, come 2023 it will be very difficult for Tinubu n his gang to concede to the SE n buhari doesn't look like someone interested in true national healing to be concern about the igbo political question n plight so it's either there igbos try n convince the nation to concede the presidency to them in 2023 or to go into alliance with the NE, NC n SS under a strong political arrangement as the SW n NW are very likely to be on the same side or to just resign to fate n wait for eternity. |

Lionsbet: ISWAP is the face of terrorism in North- East Nigeria.
They are more sophisticated than their sister group, Boko-haram. It is evident from thier modus operandi.
The group backed by ISIS are a big threat, Boko-Haram may be defeated, but ISWAP are not.
Dont forget that Buhari paid Al-Barnawi millions of Euros to free the Dapchi girls, yet he came out to say he didn't pay a dime.
ISWAP strength should not be underestimated, they even collect taxes from locals as form of protection from cattle rustlers in the Lake Chad Basin.
The fight against terrorism in the North East have just begun, if you know, you know! Oga nothing like "Boko Haram may be defeated but iswap is more sophisticated", please don't use grammar to confuse things, Boko Haram n ISIS simply fused together to form ISWAP,I see you are only trying to claim buhari has defeated Boko Haram n is now only fighting isis, this is how history is often twisted n recreated to give buhari undue credit, same way we were told buhari built all Nigeria's refineries, oil pipe lines n depots, buhari crushed the chadian incursion into Nigeria n was marching onto ndjamena before shagari stop him etc,but a check through history will prove otherwise,so Oga don't try to systematically reinforce failure abeg. |

Health › Re: No Exercise Or Drug Can Grow The Penis- Dr Olufunmilayo by Deepthoughts: 9:04pm On Aug 09, 2019 |
udomoh: NO exercise can grow the penis.
NO medicine can grow the penis.
Your penis stopped growing at 21years.
NO exercise can grow the penis.
No exercise will increase your penile girth
No hand exercise will increase your penis size
You cannot make your pennis grow thicker and longer naturally
No food will increase your penis size
NO medicine can grow the penis.
Your penis stopped growing at 21years.
Whatever you have now is what you will have.
Use it well.
Good morning.
All over the world, people have associated a lot of unrealistic things to penis size.
Both men and women.
Some people have come to see it as the longer/bigger it is, the more fertile, the more masculine, the more stronger, the more courageous a man is.
NONE OF THIS IS TRUE.
The size of a man’s penis has NOTHING to do with the strength of a man. Or the fertility of a man. Or the masculinity of a man. Or the value of a man. These are all common myths in a world that is largely ignorant and completely uninformed about the penis- and what it can do.
This obsession with Penis Size is the reason for some unscrupulous drug/herb companies from the roadside sellers to online markets who exploit the ignorance of men who assume that a bigger penis is the missing piece to complete their lives. But sadly, these men are sold lies.
There is NO scientifically proven evidence ANY cream or medication can satisfactorily increase penis significantly. Or even increase it at all. It’s ALL a scam. And a fraud. The men in their posters are already heavily endowed models whose penis grew NATURALLY. And that’s it.
Men literally do CRAZY things just to get a bigger penis. ALL to no avail. Indian mystics known as Sadhus stretch their penis from an early age by hanging weights on it, while the Topinama tribesmen of Brazil will get poisonous snakes to bite their penis in a bid to enlarge it. Some men think repeated masturbation or certain sex positions like doggystyle will enlarge/lengthen the penis. My brother, don’t die before your time. What you have right now is ALL you will have. Spend your energy on using it properly, rather than waste money on buying lies. IF somebody is shouting “deeper” “deeper”, “harder”, “harder”, you better tell her to calm down. You can’t go deeper than you are already going. You can’t give what you don’t have. After giving all you have, there’s no “deeper” to go, except you want to dig your own grave.
But seriously, people panic over penis size simply because of pornography and modern cultural myths. What you fail to realise is that the people you see in pornography are NOT average men. For that kind of job, they get the men with the biggest joysticks. Not the average guy. So what’s the average penis size? For teenagers, it’s difficult to say what the average is. Because from age 11-18years, a boy’s penis is actively growing. By age 21, it stops growing and it has reached its final size for almost every man. That’s for teenagers, on average. But what of men? Most men will have a penis size about 9cm when it is not erect. That’s barely 4 inches. And when erect, most men will have a penis size about about 13cm to 18cm. That’s about 5 to 7inches. So all those 9inches, 12 inches men you see in porn, are NOT average. I need to reiterate again: What you watch in porn, or hear some men talk about is NOT average at all. So don’t feel less of a man, if you measure your penis and it is about 9cm when not erect and between 13-18cm when erect. That is PERFECTLY NORMAL. And no cause for alarm. On the angle of an erect penis, there is variations. Some face up, some face down, bend right, bend left. ALL of this is normal as long as you can urinate effectively and have sex enjoyably. There is NO cause for alarm. All joysticks will not sleep and face the same direction. However if yours is bent is an abnormally curved way and it gives you problems, see your doctor or a urologist. There’s a disease called Peyronie disease that may be responsible for this. Don’t take it lightly and see your doctor to sort this out as soon as possible. Another thing to talk about is how men themselves view their joysticks that gives them low self esteem. Actually if you look at your penis yourself from the top, it would look smaller than it actually is. So your brain messes with you and makes you think oh you have a small penis. The best way to have an objective view is to stand in front of a mirror and see what is in the mirror. That’s what someone else will see while looking at you and that tells you the truth. I’m just trying to tell you that your worries are actually sometimes exaggerated. And you know the funny part to all this? It is that DESPITE all I’ve said, many men still want a bigger/longer penis. Lmao. A research by Professor Kevan Wylie of Sheffield University using 50,000 men and women showed that 45% of men want bigger penis, and 85% of women are okay with their spouse/partner’s penis size. So what does that imply? The craze for bigger/longer penis is mainly a psychological anxiety in the minds of men. Even the women are mostly not bothered and they are okay with it. That’s actually what the fact is. And to add to all this, A bigger penis doesn’t mean better sex. A longer penis doesn’t mean higher fertility. A huge penis doesn’t actually mean anything at all. If we are being very factual and objective. Carry your Tiger Battery with pride. And use it to its maximum potential. Anyway, I hope this short write up has helped reassure you that you don’t need to worry about your penis size. The function of penis is: To urinate To have sex (for children/pleasure). As long as you do those two with no problems, you are fine and good. Don’t worry yourself. In summary, NO exercise can grow the penis. Thanks for reading. Please write your experiences and feel free to ask questions.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Olufunmilayo
https://nimedhealth.com.ng/2019/08/08/no-exercise-or-drug-can-grow-the-penis-dr-olufunmilayo/?amp Irrespective of the myths, legends or otherwise, what I know for a fact is that the length, girth n stiffness of the penis are very very very essential for effective sexual performance likewise the duration of erection n tightness of the vaginal, these factors explain why sugar mummies like young guys n sugar daddies hunt for young girls,we can pretend about it under the guise of morality but you can compare the feeling of teens n early 20s to 30s,40s n above either side, take it or leave it. |

Neymar knows he is being offered around and one of those sides was Manchester United - but they turned him down.
Before Ligue 1 begins this weekend, PSG want the situation resolved. The issues between the management and Neymar is beyond repair and know they must get him out before the season kicks off to avoid any further embarrassment. They spoke to United about taking Neymar on loan and Real Madrid have also asked about the Brazilian's availability.
Neymar only has eyes for Barça after making the decision to leave at the end of last season. He wants PSG to discuss a move so he can start planning for his second stint at the Camp Nou.

Politics › Re: Nigerians Ask National Assembly To Probe Obasanjo's $16bn Power Spending, Others by Deepthoughts: 11:13am On Aug 06, 2019 |
ManirBK: Nigerians under the aegis of Young Nigerian Professionals (YNP) have demanded the National Assembly to probe the $16 billion spending on power during the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007.
They also demanded the federal lawmakers to do same to the regime of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, former President Goodluck Jonathan and the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.
Addressing a press conference yesterday in Abuja, the Chairman of the forum, Charles Olufemi Folayan who was flanked by many others said without probing and bringing those who brought Nigeria down to justice, the country cannot move forward.
“With just a year to go before the 2020 target of a 40,000 MW for the country, based on the alleged investment in the proposed power plants, all those who have questions to answer must be brought forward to explain why the power generation target has remained unattainable despite the huge investments.
“Considering that this will be a very comprehensive investigation, covering the $16 billion spent by the Obasanjo-led government between 1999 and 2007, the power spending of administrations of Presidents Umaru Musa Yar’Adua (late), Goodluck Jonathan and the incumbent, Muhammadu Buhari; we are confident no one will hide under the excuse of being witchhunted.
“It is high time that the books are opened, and the way and manner all funds allocated to this sector were spent are made public; while those who are found wanting face the wrath of the law.
“We therefore totally support the resolve of the House of Representatives to investigate and uncover those behind the ineffective and corruption – ridden investments in the power sector.
https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/nigerians-ask-n-assembly-to-probe-objs-16bn-power-spending-others.html? Obasanjo has said it severally that such probe has been conducted before n he is certainly not afraid of a new probe,so if the constant talk of power spending probe is the intimidate n silence Obasanjo, then who ever embark on it will only be running a fools errand,n let's hope the probe itself will not consume some of today's saints. |
