jarawa: The Chief of Defence Staff , Major General Gabriel Olonishakin, yesterday urged the media not to glorify terrorists or give them undue publicity. He spoke at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja, during the Defence Correspondence Seminar 2019 themed “Enhancing National Security and Cohesion through Responsible Media Reportage.”
He said in times of crisis, the main effort of the press should be geared towards peace-building. According to him, military operations demand a cordial working relationship with the media for enlightenment purpose and national security.
But propaganda, lies n deciet of your government n military should be glorified abi?, it's Boko Haram no longer defeated?,is the war tested general buhari not the president for over four years now,why hasn't Boko Haram been destroyed?,just search your conscience,do your job n stop wasting your time Mr general.
helinues: Are you in control of your life? Yes, God first but after him, are you in charge?
I have watched friends, family and associates being influenced by partners, parents, friends and which have made them to make so many wrong decisions.
Even though, some issues are better shared in order to see the situations from others perspective yet some are so important to be made alone.
The Who part are people , friends, families The What part are drugs, Alcohols, Smoking
As for me, I just need my space, food, internet and TV cable. Something must surely be learned that will influences most of my critics decisions
So what/who influences most of your critical decisions ?
my life guiding principles.e.g Do on to others what you would want them do to you,In every situation always think of what you stand to gain or loss before taking critical decisions or actions.these principles has helped me immensely in life up to today.
I came across the details of the grounds of appeal by Atiku/pdp on another media, all I want to say is no matter what Atiku will not win the case, not because his claims are not true or he hasn't truly proven his case with enough evidence but simply because the judiciary just like the legislature has been pocketed by buhari n nothing else, imagine the PEPT ruling that buhari didn't have to attach his credentials to his electoral form to contest the elections?, n that the ability to read, write n speak English even without a certificate are enough for one to stand for presidential elections in Nigeria!.
This post is for the man who breaks a woman’s heart. You knew you needed a one night stand, yet you gave her the impression that you were in love. You even went ahead and bought lovely flowers and greeting cards.
But why would you raise someone’s hope to dash it in the middle of nowhere? It would have been better for her if you had told her you needed a friend with benefits.
I could have sworn that men like you don’t exist, but I was wrong anyway. Are you so heartless that you don’t even consider how she will feel once she realized that you are a scam?
I thought heartbreaks only happen in Nollywood and Zeeworlds. I never imagined someone as heartless as you existed until you broke my heart to pieces. Without a doubt, I was a victim of your sweet words, nice gestures, and fake kindness.
I never knew that behind the kindness and nice gestures was a chronic player and womanizer. You are so wicked!!!
How could you paint a marriage life scenario to me while you know that I was your fling? You coaxed into believing that I’m the chosen one whom you will hold close to your arm and spend the rest of your life with.
But why? Did all these lies worth it? How many other girls are victims of your love scam? You have succeeded in instilling natural hatred for men in my heart.
Your actions made me feel unimportant, and you gave me the impression that I’m a worthless fling. You promised me love, affection, and happiness. But after seeing my unclothedness, you made me cry my eyes out.
I fell for your romantic words thinking I found happiness. But after taking me to bed, you became a different person. That was when you told me that you had a serious relationship. So, you kept your girlfriend as a special reserve while treating me as if I’m worthless.
You may think It’s normal, but it’s heartbreaking. I wish you could see the redness in my heart and how I became a shadow of myself when you left. The way you broke my heart into pieces. Sadly, the next man that comes my way will pay for your sin.
All I ever crave for was true love. But you turn everything into a nightmare. I don’t feel safe with men anymore as they remind me of you. I now find men that are kind towards me very irritating.
Since you have taken advantage of my vulnerability, I may never trust any man again. You want to see me cry and miserable because you derive pleasure seeing women in pain.
I just want to know. Why did you lie about everything? What did you gain from it? I was ready to make all our days together magical. Unfortunately, the only magical day was the day you told me you had a serious girlfriend that you are preparing for marriage.
What baffled me most was the fact that you were smiling when you told me about your relationship with another lady. Perhaps, you were happy that I was crying when you ended things with me.
I want you to know that I will be fine. I won’t allow the fact that you break my heart defines me.
As for you, I hope that one day you will experience real heartbreak. That’s the day you will feel all my pains.
Lastly, I hope another woman will not fall for your deceit and lies again.
perhaps I'm just a bit different,I can have strong feelings for something or someone but any Bleep up gbam my feelings are gone n it's good bye,all this bitter heart breaks just sounds crazy to me.

The monarch of the town, the Olujare of Ijare, Oba Adebamigbe is always accompanied by chiefs to carry out the yearly sacrifice.
The mountain is said to be a secluded place for the monarch.
chidima2019: The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has alleged plot by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to influence the selection of Supreme Court justices who would sit on the appeal panel filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Also, a coalition of Civil Society organisations, the Nigeria Centre for Justice and Rule of Law (NCJRL), accused the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, of shopping for willing justices who would hear the appeal. At a press conference yesterday, CUPP spokesperson, Ikenga Ugochinyere, said the coalition has intercepted a secret list of a seven-man panel of the Justices of Supreme Court about to be announced by the CJN who would sit on the appeal. According to him, the plan was to jettison the agelong tradition of selecting the members of the panel in the order of seniority.
“Since the 1979 presidential election, the first presidential election in Nigeria, the tradition in the Supreme Court has been that the seven most senior justices of the Supreme Court are empanelled for the purpose of determining the presidential election appeal,” Ugochinyere noted. He listed the seven most senior justices and their year of appointment to include the CJN, Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed (2006), Bode Rhodes-Vivour (2010), Nwali Sylvester Ngwuta (2011), Mary Odili (2011), Olukayode Ariwoola (2011), Musa Datijo Mohammad (2012) and Kumayi Bayang Akaahs (2012). He alleged that the CJN wants to deviate from the tradition and replace some of the justices with their juniors. According to him, the list CUPP intercepted showed that the panel that would hear Atiku’s appeal is made up of the CJN, Rhodes-Vivour, Datijo Mohammed, John Inyang Okoro who was appointed in 2013, China Centus Nweze (2016), Aminu Adamu Augie (2016), and Uwani Dauda Bags (2018).
Everything buhari is doing serves the docile n disunited Southerners especially the Christian's right, when next they ever had the opportunity again, they can go n be speaking grammar feeling cocky instead of been courageous n taking tough decisions required to change the country n move it forward,I don't blame buhari at all.
Pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere on Tuesday said the dissolution of the Economic Management Team (EMT) headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo by President Muhammadu Buhari is clearly a vote of no confidence in a loud indictment.
Speaking in a chat with INDEPENDENT, Yinka Odumakin, the organisation’s National Publicity Secretary said Osinbajo’s position has become totally redundant and irrelevant.
“It is clearly a vote of no confidence and a loud indictment. His position has become totally redundant and irrelevant.
I don't blame buhari for using his powers for the outmost benefit of himself n his kinsmen, this should serve as a good lesson for docile Christian Southerners,if they ever get to power again, let them go to sleep!.
Buhari's bunch of sychophantic suporters will always tell you buhari is a battle tested n experience ex general but is it crystal clear now that the man is all round empty even in his own field?,the Nigerian security architecture is very defective, the police are supposed to be effective enough to support the military in terms like this,in fact performing military duties when required is the last main duties of the police but over time right from when buhari over three shagari up to today the military has deliberately weakened the police n other security bodies to install themselves as the alpha and Omega of the country's defense, they treat all the other security establishment with utter disregard n respect as if they are not serving the country but now the Boko Haram challenge has exposed their folly, ideally the operational arms of the police eg MOPOL,CTU POLICE SF n of other security bodies should be helping the military to hold liberated territories with adequate training n equipments as the military continuously go on the offensive giving Boko Haram no breathing space but this is not possible as the police n the rest security bodies are poorly armed due to the military insisting that certain weapons are military graded are should not be used by other bodies but Boko Haram uses those same weapons freely eg GPMG,RPG, AA GUNS,BLAST GRENADES ETC, it's so amazing that we don't hear of army air wing, simple equipment like drones, night vision devices etc are strange devices in the war against Boko Haram, only God knows how buhari as an ex general was convinced about the effectiveness of the super camp strategy!,it's so strange to hear of battles lasting for hours without air support that one often wonders about the level of coordination n cooperation among the military branches, everyday buhari/Apc keep feeding Nigerians with lies n propaganda that often falls flats in the face of real occurring events only for the government to dish more lies to the cheering of her supporters, those who were experts in coining all sort of abusive names for Johnathan have all shamelessly gone dumb now!,karma is truly amazing!.
Toyota automobiles are arguably the most popular vehicles on Nigerian roads. They have become so popular that even a rookie car enthusiast or someone who is not really interested in cars can identify a Camry or Corolla from a distance.
Wait a minute. What do the words; Camry , Corolla and other model names actually mean, how were those names coined ?. We are about to find out !
Let's get started, in no particular order
1. Prius
Its a Latin word meaning, "prior", "first", "original", "to go before" . The Prius is the first mass produced hybrid vehicle, launched in 1997, in Japan.
2. Avensis
This name is derived from the French word "Avancer", meaning "to advance".
3. Supra
It comes from the Latin word "supra", which means "transcending" or "above" . Which can also be loosely translated as "superior" .
4. Celica
Its a Spanish word for "celestial" or "heavenly"
5. Hilux
Its simply a combination of "High" and "Luxury"
6.Hiace
Just like the Hilux, its coined from the English words "High" and "Ace".
7.RAV4
Its actually an acronym for "Recreational Active Vehicle with 4-wheel-drive " .
8.Camry
Its coined from a Japanese word "Kanmuri", which means "crown".
9.Corolla
A "corolla" is the ring of petals around the central part of a flower. The name was intended to evoke the image of a beautifully styled, eye-catching compact car.
Securing all the borders is sure a very tough task, but why can't the customs raid selling points i,e markets,to confiscate all the ban goods, simple logic,if you can't sell, there is no point smuggling it.
Nonymine: Have you just compared us to Western countries? What did South Africa do when 80 of her citizens died in Nigeria? You think if it were Americans, they'd fold their arms and let TB Joshua roam free? Nigeria and South Africa needs to tread carefully.
If that's the diplomacy you talk about then it's rubbish!,did Nigerians chased n killed the south Africans in TB Joshua's Church or it was an accident beyond anyone's control?,did any country blamed America for the death of her citizens in 9/11?,thank God we don't have your type in power it would have been worse, ask yourself why are the south Africans not attacking Arabs of north Africa at least they are also Africans,I guess you know the reason is because they will be striking the bees nest by doing so n the out come will be deadly, Nigeria can go on with your brand of diplomacy while her citizens continued to be treated as dogs in most painfully African countries!.
Nonymine: I've actually paid keen attention to all that has been happening for a while now. It's evident that most Nigerians and South Africans yearning for tit for tat are ignorant of diplomacy. Sadly, I have little time to go into that now
This diplomacy you talk about, did it applies only to Nigeria?, because we have seen how decisive some other countries have treated the Bleep up of other countries messing up with their interests n citizens, please diplomatic consultant educate us!
The federal government should have tacitly allowed the NANS to give the south Africans small demo here in Nigeria to reset their brains but they are busy decieving themselves forming big brother, Nigeria n Nigerians will continue to be taken for a ride with our docile attitude,no couo in Africa should be messing with us, imagine Even countries like Ghana Gabon Kenya spitting on us,yet we call ourselves the African giant, well most Giants are fools so it's not suprising after all.
The yorubas of kwara liberating themselves from the domination of Alimi Descendants should not be a hurculean task, they simply need to ensure that an Afonja son or daughter is voted governor n also plenty state house members, then stand firm with numerical strength n courage to effect the desired changes of course this will certainly not be with a fight from the fulanis.
Nairaobserver: There was a drag between ( KAROTA ) Kano Road And Traffic Agency officials and a soldier, which made the KAROTA operatives to descend heavily on the soldier.
Thereafter, the soldiers in the barrack got information about how their colleague was dealt with by the Kano Traffic Agency Officials. They moved to pick up each and everyone of the KAROTA officials that was involved in the act and purnished them.
So why did buhari claimed his credentials we're with the army n filled (not available) in the column of his academic qualification on his inec forms severally, why didn't he simply state that he could read write n speak English?
The law clearly state that anyone running for the position of the president should be able to prove or demonstrate that He/she studied up to secondary school level.
>Buhari can read and write (that is a proof)
>Buhari has attained the level of General in the Nigerian Army
>Buhari submitted a Waec Attestation to the Court and a picture showing when he was in school
>Buhari had numerous training in the military.
Bear in mind, the law was made to enable anyone who is intelligent enough regardless of educational background to be able to run for public office.
Inaddition, waivers are possible if a person can prove he/She has worked for more than 10years in the Nigerian civil service.
Obasanjo in 2015 said in an interview that it was a joke to claim a whole military general is not educated or qualified to contest for the position of the president.
I thought PDP's strongest case was the sever before the tribunal judgement.
Apparently, they are now chasing a lost shadow.
ply answer me,did the Constitution or electoral act not required a candidate to attached his/her academic credentials to their forms, yes or no?
Kapeter: you should wake up. Buhari doesn't know how he emerged winner of last election. It could have been rig in his favour in some part of the country buh believe me buhari has no hand in the rigging, his loyalists did. Take Lagos for example, buhari doesn't know wether some people were not allow to vote or not, same way it apply all over the country. People who stand to gain rig in his favour if there's actually some that went down.
At the commissioning of this port I knew n I said it was going to be a waste, onitsha port completion n commissioning would be more of economic value, who are the importers/exporters expected to use baro port?,the present desperate attempt n massive waste/looting of funds in the name of searching for crude in the north will suffer the same fate, sentiments bigotry n bias will continue to push buhari n inevitably Nigeria astray.
zoba88: Many lives were lost in Okpochiru Ukwagba Ngbo in Ohaukwu LGA,Ebonyi State.According to report, the incident was due to a land dispute between Ngbo and Ezza-Effium part of Igala
All these crisis don't just erupt,if only the government n her institutions are proactive n sincere enough, all these unfortunate incidents can be avoided n tackled.there is the need to develop an advance crisis warning system were information can be obtained i well in advance about brewing crisis situation for preemptive n proactive counter measures.
Elchicolo: Two Nigerian soldiers were killed in clashes with Islamic State in West African Province fighters in Yobe State, the terror group claimed through its news agency AMAQ on Saturday.
The jihadist organisation said the attack on the soldiers took place in Boni Yadi on Friday. It said it also seized armoured vehicles.
The Nigerian army authorities are yet to confirm the attacks.
ISWAP has carried out a string of attacks in Nigeria in recent months contrary to the Nigerian government claims that its troops have degraded the insurgent group.
On Thursday the group claimed it killed 10 Nigeria soldiers in an attack in Borno State on Wednesday.
Citing security sources and residents, AFP reported that ISWAP fighters attacked Gajiram on both Wednesday and Thursday, killing three soldiers and a police officer.
The insurgents first attacked the town on Wednesday, forcing troops and police officers to withdraw, according to the residents.
They drove into the town around 4 p.m., “firing indiscriminately,” Gajiram resident Abdu Goni said.
“They burnt down the police station and took away four military vehicles and another one belonging to the police,” Goni said.
ISWAP fighters returned at 1 a.m. on Thursday morning in nine all-terrain trucks fitted with machine guns and engaged troops and police officers in a gun battle, AFP reported.
Goni said the militants “killed three soldiers and a policeman without harming any civilians” when they returned on Thursday, adding that another military pickup truck was seized in the second attack.
The jihadist group known as Boko Haram began its bloody insurgency in northeastern Nigeria in 2009, but it has since spread into neighbouring Niger, Chad and Cameroon, prompting a regional military response.
Boko Haram split into two factions in mid-2016. One, led by long-time leader Abubakar Shekau, is notorious for suicide bombings and indiscriminate killings of civilians.
Shekau pledged allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi in March 2015, but ISIS central only gives formal backing to the other faction, which it calls Islamic State West Africa Province.
The U.S. assesses that Boko Haram and ISWAP have been responsible for more than 35,000 deaths since 2011. More than two million people have been displaced, sparking a dire humanitarian crisis in the region.
I just read a different version of this story on a different platform, what I want to say is that the Nigerian security architecture is rather not properly designed for effective job performance, while the military is strong, the police n other paramilitary set are just too weak, perhaps the military did this to maintain their air of superiority over the rest but this is not serving the country well, it's time the operational specialized units of the police, customs, immigration are trained n equip with light military weapons such as GPMG,RPG n the likes to effectively support the military in holding territories as the military advances in major operations, this will also enable these security bodies to effectively deal with lots of threats independently with out involving the military always, but it appears the military wants the other security bodies to remain weak so that they can continue to feel like the alpha and Omega, there is also the need to change the militaries orientation n the manner they relate with the other security bodies, presently their is too much disregard n respect, everyone can't be in a particular security body but all are to work for the nation's security n therefore there should be respect n harmony in relationship,I understand most weapons are classified as military grade n forbidden for the other security bodies but the criminals/terrorist usees those weapons n more what an irony!, again one wonders if equipments like night vision googles, reconnaissance drones, bullet proof/armour patrol vehiclesfield binoculars are too expensive for Nigeria to afford because these are things been use commonly by other country's security daily to boost the operational capacity n effectiveness but not in Nigeria, how can a battle with BOKO HARAM last for more than an hour n air support in whatever form will not come in,is the army not Evy supposed to have an air wing of their own?,in short everything Nigeria self na real wah, haba!!!.
zoba88: As shared by Ibrahim Bello who lives in Kaduna.....
'He Was kidnapped few months back, the Kidnappers did not get the exact amount they asked for. They called his Parents yesterday and told them to go and pick him up. This is the result, they burnt Jamilu into ashes. His parents recognized only his cloths and shoes'
Made4naijasite: Policeman seen trying to arrest his colleague after a suspect’s escape in Anambra State
The policeman In mufti came to a car park at upper lweka to Arrest a suspected drug peddler
He later handed him over to the uniformed policeman working at the same park.
The officer then held the suspect by his trousers but the suspect managed to escape from his grip
That was why the visiting policeman was trying to arrest of officer, blaming him for the escape and accused him of being in cahoots with the suspect, saying that’s the reason he allowed him to escape
Police!!,what stop the officer in mufti to just report the uniform officer to their superiors instead of this public disgrace!,you can never tell with a criminal, any slight chance they sieze it,the uniform officer might not be guilty but inexperienced.
adekennis: If anyone in government is reading this..I hope they take my stupid advice..One of the reason why there is high rate of insecurity in the country is because the police that are supposed to protect are being used as private security in hotels, bars, celebrities security even rich yahoo boys are not left out.I mean these are people paying to protect citizens but they are working for private companies and individuals hence reason for shortages of officers for policing and the few ones left are after yahoo boys meanwhile this organisations pay police authorities for the service of thier men but thats not going to government pocket and government still pay thier salary. This is one of the rot in the police system that need to be stopped..What happen to government having dedicated police recruited for private and individuals use and their salary be paid by the individuals engaging their service...The annoying part if that you pay through your nose to the police authorities before you can get approval to get private officer and all this money is not going to government pocket but the Ogas..See the insecurity in this country can be stopped in two months if the ogas are serious but they see everything as money making avenues same as the military why we still have boko haram..I hope one day somebody with balls with checkmake all this wrongdoings and put everyone in order irrespective of the post they occupy.
iamgprince: I asked a lady the most annoying question a guy have asked her before and she said, how many kids do you have and i was like lmao!. So ladies what is the most annoying question a guy have asked you before. NB: it may be on facebook, Twitter,. or even here on Nairaland.
