Just a simple question, if you were Messi, what would make you leave Barcelona?

Ronaldo moved from sporting to United, from united to Madrid, all as a step up to his career. Then from Madrid to Turin cos of his fallout with Perez.

Again, I ask. If you were Messi, what would make you leave Barça?
You are very right about Ronaldo's movements,go n cross check my write up again,I never said Messi should move to a lesser club ok,now about your question of if I were Messi,my answer just like many footballers do say is,the desire for a new challenge.when the rivalry between Mourinho n guardiola got heated in Spain I remember Mourinho challenging guardiola to go to England, guardiola did just that n has removed all doubt about his capabilities,he could have chosen to remain in Barcelona as well n I bet you, questions would still have been asked about his abilities.
PoliticsRe: South-East Governors Write Buhari: Ban Herders With No Cattle & Cattle By Foot by Deepthoughts: 2:56pm On Aug 21, 2019
AgencyReport:
Governors in South East, Nigeria, have written to President Muhammadu Buhari asking him to ban the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the region, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that the governors are also asking the President to delay the closure of Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, and act against insecurity instead.

Igbere TV had reported that the Federal Government, last week, said it was shutting down the Enugu airport for “major repairs” on the “faulty” runway.

This is even as the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) announced that it was degrading the airport for international operations owing to its “runway length”.

But in the letter made available to Igbere TV on Wednesday, the governors are asking the President to rather approve its earlier decision banning herders who have no cattle, as well as the movement of cattle by foot in the South East.

The move is coming three days after Senator Ike Ekweremadu, from the region, was attacked in Germany, by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

According to the governors, they decided to make the letter public to assuage public allegations that they were not doing enough to check growing insecurity in the region.

Recall that the IPOB had accused the South East governors and other top political leaders in the region of sell out, saying they have never acted on insecurity in the zone.

“We plead with Mr. President that we publish this letter to assuage our people’s feelings who erroneously think that no efforts are being made by the leaders of the South East to tackle insecurity and economic challenges facing the zone and to let them know that her leaders before now have been working very hard without making noise as issues of security must not be discussed in the public,” the letter partly read.

The letter was signed by Mr. David Umahi, Chairman of the South East Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, on behalf of other governors in the region.

PoliticsRe: How We Were Attacked At Ambode's House – EFCC by Deepthoughts: 1:40pm On Aug 21, 2019
Abdulazeez99:
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has finally admitted raiding former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode's home after denying the report earlier.

Though eyewitnesses said the anti-graft agency's operatives were stopped by residents of Epe (Ambode's hometown), the EFCC claimed they were attacked by Ambode's hoodlums in a statement released by its head of media and publicity Wilson Uwajuren. He further disclosed that three officers were injured in the attack, while the EFCC official vehicle was damaged, Igbere TV reports.

Wilson said “the EFCC had obtained valid warrant to conduct search on Ambode’s residences in Park View, Ikoyi and country home in Epe, as part of ongoing investigation of alleged malfeasance”.

“The attack was totally unprovoked as the Commission’s operatives were civic and did not molest anybody. The Commission therefore frowns at the attempt to manipulate the video of the search to create the wrong impression that officers of the agency molested residents at the Epe home of the governor.

It is also not true that the search was an attempt to plant foreign currencies in the home of the former governor,” he added.

Maniagist2:
President Muhammadu Buhari has told his Ministers designate that majority Nigerians are extremely poor.

President Buhari said this on Tuesday at the end of a two-day Presidential Retreat for designate and senior Government officials.

Here is the full text of the President’s speech:
After two days, we have come to the end of a successful retreat. However, you will agree that our work is just beginning.

These last two days have been very instructive for me personally, because I have had the opportunity to know many of you new Ministers-Designate better.

I was also pleased to see that you have all equally enjoyed debating and deliberating on the various challenge.

Ladies and Gentlemen, majority of our people are poor and are anxiously hoping for a better life. A Nigeria in which they do not have to worry about what they will eat, where they will live or if they can afford to pay for their children’s education or healthcare.

Our responsibility as leaders of this great country is to meet these basic needs for our people. As I mentioned yesterday, this Administration inherited many challenges from our predecessors to mention a few:
A country in which 18 local governments in the Northeast were under the control of Boko Haram

Decayed infrastructure in which our rail lines and roads had severely deteriorated;
A rent seeking economy that depended largely on oil revenues and imports, Significant unpaid pensions, subsidy debts, legacy contractor debts. I can go on and on.

In our first term, we laid the foundation to rebuild our country. We recaptured those 18 Local Governments previously held by Boko Haram, whose activities are now limited to sporadic attacks against soft targets.

Our investments in road and rail infrastructure are without precedent, and many of you can attest to this. We also focused on diversifying the economy from oil towards agriculture and industrialization.

Despite reduced revenues from oil and gas compared to past governments, we have broadly addressed many of the legacy debts they left behind.

Whilst we have obvious successes to celebrate, the challenges ahead are significant as you would have observed in detail over these two days. Nevertheless, from the quality of the deliberations, it is clear that solutions to our problems are well researched and have been well articulated.

We have discussed solutions relating to addressing Insecurity; Macroeconomic Stability; Agriculture and Food Security; Energy Security for Petroleum products and Electricity; Transportation and Critical Infrastructure; Industrialization and SME Development; Human Capital Development; Social Inclusion; Anti-Corruption; Housing Financing and Consumer Credit.

Public service is not easy work, and at times it can be thankless. I am therefore charging you all to see this opportunity to serve as an honour, to give your best to deliver on this mandate, for a more prosperous Nigeria, not for some, but for all Nigerians.

You will find that working collaboratively and purposefully will enable us to achieve quicker results, recognizing that four years is not a very long time. For the new Ministers, make sure you engage and benefit from the experience of the older Ministers and former Governors in the cabinet.

In terms of coordination, kindly ensure that all submissions for my attention or meeting requests be channeled through the Chief of Staff, while all Federal Executive Council matters be coordinated through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

I would like to thank the Office of the SGF for coordinating this successful Presidential Retreat. I would also like to thank the National Assembly leadership, the Party Chairman, Chairman of the Governors Forum, and resource firms, for the active engagements and contributions.

Once again, the challenges that lie ahead of us as a country are significant. But I have no doubt in your individual capacities and our collective patriotic commitment to deliver a better Nigeria for us, our children and a brighter future for all.

Forest Guards Come Alive in Enugu State!

Ndi Enugu, this is another great opportunity for us to safeguard our territory and nip in the bud all criminal elements that penetrate our communities and commit all forms of crimes.

Committed youths in Enugu State with passion for service and identified local government areas of origin, should take advantage of the ongoing recruitment of 1,700 Forest Guards by the state government and apply for the post through the Security Chief of the Department of State Services (DSS) in their respective LGAs.

This security measure is novel, engaging and rewarding.

It is about our safety and future. Let's join hands with the Enugu State Government and security agencies to strengthen security in the state for enhanced peace and rapid development.

Enugu State is truly in the hands of God. #amokelouis

AgencyReport:
Igbere TV has obtained exclusive pictures of some policemen and a driver who lost their lives in the attack on Nasarawa State Deputy Governor.

We had reported that armed assailants on Tuesday night attacked the convoy of Mr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, killing three policemen and a driver.

The attack was said to have occurred around 8pm when the deputy governor was traveling to Abuja, ahead of today's swearing in of Ministers.

Igbere TV gathered that the robbers laid ambushed on the convoy, killed the policemen and took away all their rifles leaving just a magazine.

According to our source, the convoy was alerted that robbery operation was taking place few miles away from them, at a village they were to pass to town.

“After waiting for a while, one of the police vehicles volunteered to clear the road for them. Unfortunately, they fell into the robbers’ trap. They opened opened fire on them and took away all their rifles,” the source said.

The police and the Nasarawa state government are yet to issue any official statement on the incident.

your argument is just on the wrong track..... Everybody keeps shouting prove himself in another team...... someone that has probably had more changes meted to him in Barca and Argentina than Cr7 in his entire career in case you don't know the Xavi and Iniesta you all claimed gave him success have left and he has had to play as Iniesta, Xavi and Messi..... with players most of which will be on man city's bench

Your argument should be let us see how Cr7 will perform when he has to be both provider and scorer and not just setting up shop in front of the goalkeeper waiting for magnanimous team mates to help boost his ego
please don't put words into me,I never mentioned particular players working for Messi perhaps you heard that from elsewhere, all teams change players overtime,I talked about Messi going to another team n not Barcelona changing players while Messi remains, please come up with something better.

obembet:
It is a question that has both fascinated and bored football fans in equal measure for years, but we may finally have an answer over just who is better between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo .

It all depends on whether or not you agree with computer scientists from Belgium's KU Leuven university, who claim to have come up with the definitive formula to determine just which one of the old rivals is the better footballer.

As reported by Sporza in Belgium, professors at the university have teamed up with Dutch data specialists SciSports to come up with something called Valuing Actions by Estimating Probabilities (VAEP), which they say gives the answer to the eternal Messi-Ronaldo question.

The formula looks at the players' all-round games, and claims to take into account everything that they do on the pitch in both attacking and defensive roles.

"The value of a soccer player is often determined by goals and assists," said Jesse Davis , a professor at the university.

"A goal is a rare event, however, because an average of 1,600 actions are estimated to occur in a match. Our model looks at each action - shots, passes, dribbles, tackles - and calculates its value."

So, to the bit you're here for.

Data was analysed from the 2013/14 season up to the end of 2017/18 when Ronaldo left Real Madrid , and after feeding the results through their supercomputer - at least we presume it is pretty super - the researchers found that it is Messi who comes out on top.

And by quite a long way.

The Argentinean comes out with a VAEP score of 1.21 per game, which is much higher than Ronaldo's 0.61.

"In the first seasons, Messi and Ronaldo's scores are very close to each other," says PhD student Tom Decroos , who helped with the research.

"From the 2015/16 season, Messi has stepped away from his eternal rival."

Decroos went on to elaborate on how Messi differs from some of the modern greats when it comes to the formula.

"We see a trade-off with most football players: either they make a lot of actions with a less high value - that's the case with Paul Pogba, for example," he said.

"Or you have players who are less likely to hit the ball, but who have a big impact. That is typical of strikers like Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah and Ronaldo.

"Messi is exceptional in this area: the Argentinian has a very high number of actions and they also have a high value."

So there you go. Case closed.

That all depends on whether or not you like the answer.

Can't this super computer come up with better news like accurate determination of match results n change guys life a bit with bet9ja?, this Messi/Ronaldo rivalry issue to me as long as Messi fails to prove himself else where I will continue to don't his GOAT claims,my reasons are that environment n how comfortable someone feels can greatly influence performance.Ronaldinho, rivaldo n deco were great in Barcelona but fail to reproduce same level outside of Barcelona.ronaldo has proven himself in different environment even under has conditions n negative press, some people might say Ronaldo should have gone to average teams but which great player has ever done so at the peak of their performance besides no one is even asking Messi to move to Charlton athletic to prove himself but just another team, Barcelona n her fans knew without Messi they would certainly be in trouble hence their line of argument that Messi don't need to go elsewhere to prove anything,Messi doesn't reproduce his Barcelona firm in the national team unlike Ronaldo but his supporters will quickly list how many finals he has helped Argentina to n the individual awards he wins in tournament but the question is if Barcelona hadn't won anything despite Messi's brilliant individual performance would they agree that he is the GOAT?,guardiola, Mourinho,Johan cryuff, del Bosque are among the greatest coaches of all time has any if them ever moved from a big team to the average ones to prove themselves?,so for me based on this,as long as Messi remains within the comfort of Barcelona I would not consider him to be the GOAT,I know from my little experience what working under different settings no matter how great they all may be means, nobody should talk about probability or assumption please because until proven they remain what they are only.

Femi Falana (SAN), renowned human rights lawyer, has stated that many political leaders in Nigeria have called for revolution at one point or the other, and the call for revolution in the country is not new.

Falana stated this on Monday, August 19 while speaking at a symposium organised by Coalition for Revolution (CORE) in Lagos.

Igbere TV gathers that the senior advocate said during the colonial rule, Nigerians had called for revolution. However, he said unlike what is obtainable now, those who had called for revolution in those days were not charged with treason.

He said: “Let the authorities in Abuja know that call for revolution is not new. Political leaders in this country have been calling for revolution and nobody charged them.

“When Nigeria was at this stage in the 1940's, a group of young Nigerians, the Zikists, gathered at Glover Hall (Lagos).

“Their leader, Osita Agbonna, delivered a lecture titled “A Call For Revolution” and those who shared the same thoughts with them were arrested and charged with sedition, that they were trying to embarrass the colonial regime.

“They were not charged with treason or treasonable felony.”

Falana further stated that he was reminded of the era of military dictatorship when the venue of the symposium was cordoned off by the police and State Security Services earlier on Monday.

He said: “When we were outside and were told the symposium will not hold, my mind went back to 30 years ago during the Babangida and then the Abacha junta when we could not meet.

“We defeated both dictators and I can assure you that any other dictator will not be allowed to rear his ugly head.”

The legal luminary said those disturbing the peace of the country were known by the government.

He said: “The Buhari administration knows those who are breaching the peace of Nigeria- terrorists, armed robbers, herdsmen, coup plotters and others.

“Those who went on the street to protest in exercise of their right to assembly and complain against injustice, corruption and maladministration in our country cannot be said to have breached the peace in our country."

Falana pointed out that revolution is a long and tedious journey, and urged members of the Revolution Now movement to persevere.

He said: “A revolution, like Chairman Mao Tse Tung said, is not a dinner party. A revolution is a very serious, rigorous and consistent battle for the soul of a country.

Presidential panel laments protection of corrupt of individuals “What you have done is mere declaration of intention. The journey is going to be intense, take time, but I believe we have started and there is no going back.”

SportsRe: How To Do A Bicycle Kick On The Pitch: Ronaldo, Zlatan & Best Overhead Goals by Deepthoughts: 4:20pm On Aug 16, 2019
obembet:
We all want to emulate our heroes on the football pitch, but figuring out how to score a bicycle kick takes plenty of practice and luck.

There are certain skills that footballers do on a pitch which bamboozle opponents and send spectators home with a sense of awe.

Things such as stepovers and mazy dribbles where players glide past defenders are commonplace, but a bicycle kick goal is a much rarer occurrence.

Its relative rarity makes it all the more sweet when it is successfully achieved and some of the game's best players have managed to do just that.

We take a look at the bicycle kick, how to do one and some of the best examples from the game.

What is a bicycle kick?
A bicycle kick is a method of striking the ball in football which involves a player being airborne while connecting.

Also known as an overhead kick and sometimes as a scissors kick, it is called a bicycle kick because the kicker's motions when attempting it bring to mind the action of pedalling a bike.

The bicycle kick usually requires a player to have their back to the goal and, after jumping into the air, the aim is to kick the ball backwards or over one's head into the net (hence the alternative name, overhead kick).

When and where a bicycle kick first originated remains the subject of debate, but it is felt to have gained popularity first in South America before spreading across the world.
Successfully executing a bicycle kick requires a high level of skill and physical dexterity, as well as a lot of practice so that if the opportunity arises during a game you will be well prepared.

It can only be done when the ball is travelling through the air towards the kicker, either from directly above or the side at a height.

Here is a step-by-step guide to performing a bicycle kick:

1. Keep your eye on the ball at all times.

2. Jump using the leg that you kick with while also bringing your other leg up.

3. Allow yourself to fall backwards while in the air.

4. While airborne, use your kicking leg to kick at the ball, while also bringing your free leg down simultaneously.

5. Position your arms and body to break the fall.

6. Celebrate ecstatically!

Be aware that a bicycle kick is a high-risk skill to perform on the pitch given the nature of the maneouvre and the potential for collision.
Ronaldo bicycle kick goal
One of Cristiano Ronaldo's most iconic goals was a bicycle kick which he executed to perfection while playing for Real Madrid in the quarter-final of the 2017-18 Champions League againt Juventus.

Having scored the opener in Turin - and making history in the process - Ronaldo's second goal of the evening was an acrobatic effort that will live long in the memory of all who witnessed it.

Indeed, so impressed were Juve fans by the strike that they rose to their feet and applauded the feat of the Portugal star - an act which had a profound impact on the player.

"It was, in my opinion, one of the best goals of my career so far," Ronaldo said in a subsequent interview with DAZN.

"And, of course, when the people start to applaud me in the stadium I was like, ‘wow'.

"It surprised me a lot because this has never happened in my life, so it was an unbelievable moment."

Bale bicycle kick goal
Not to be outdone by his erstwhile team-mate Ronaldo, Gareth Bale produced an equally outstanding bicycle kick goal in the 2017-18 Champions League final for Real Madrid against Liverpool.

With the score poised at 1-1, Bale entered the fray as a substitute just after the hour mark and a few minutes later he was flying through the air to send the ball beyond the reach of Loris Karius.

Remarkably, the strike was the Wales international's seventh touch since his introduction and he then went on to score the all-important insurance goal with seven minutes left on the clock.

"It was just one of those things. It was the perfect height and it's just instinct, you just try these things," a typically understated Bale told UEFA of the goal.

"Thankfully it came off. I made a great connection with the ball and it was great to see it go into the back of the net."

Curiously, however, Bale's bicycle kick goal in the final lost out to Ronaldo's quarter-final effort against Juventus for that season's UEFA Goal of the Season award.

Ibrahimovic bicycle kick goal
For some, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's arrogance is off-putting, but the former Barcelona and AC Milan star consistently backs it up and it will be no surprise to learn that he scored arguably one of the best bicycle kicks.

It came in November 2012 in a game against England and he pulled it off from all of 30 yards after cannily anticipating the movement of Three Lions goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The bicycle kick goal was Ibrahimovic's fourth of the game, meaning he scored every goal in the 4-2 victory.
The Telegraph match report said of the goal that it could be "talked about as one of the greatest in the history of the game" and Steven Gerrard, who played in the match, said it was one of the best he had seen.

Since the goal came in a friendly match rather than a competitive, high-stakes encounter, however, it lacks a certain sheen. Nevertheless, it remains one of the most impressive examples of a bicycle kick.

The best bicycle kick I have seen was the one by Ronaldinho while he was at Barcelona,I can't remember the match or season now,but the goal was later voted UEFA goal of the season.there was a cross in from the flank, Ronaldinho used his chest to control n give the ball a lift up while turning 90" with back to goal n executing a perfect bicycle kick to score a terrific goal,it was simply delight to watch.

PoliticsRe: Kogi APC Guber Aspirants Disagree Over Method Of Primary Election by Deepthoughts: 9:04am On Aug 16, 2019
prof2007:
Unless the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) reverses its decision on the mode of governorship primary election to adopt, it stands the risk of protest votes in Kogi State. The battle over the method of selecting who flies the party’s flag in the November gubernatorial election has been raging in the state chapter of APC.

This is just as a coalition of Kogi All Progressives Congress’s (APC) aspirants yesterday faulted the notion in certain quarters that Governor Yahaya Bello is in good stead to emerge APC’s flag bearer under the indirect primaries method. Spokesperson of the group, Edime Amade, who briefed reporters at APC’s National Secretariat in Abuja, said the group has the capacity to garner more delegates’ votes than Bello, who is believed to have a firm grip of the state’s party structure.

Aggrieved party stalwarts have been calling on the NWC to reverse its stance on indirect primary, alleging that a factional state chairman of the party, Haddy Ametuo, tricked the national leadership into embracing indirect primaries for the selection of the governorship candidate. An APC chieftain in the state, Mr. Danladi Yusufu, had claimed that “Haddy Ametuo and his pay masters in Lugard House,” were privy to the NWC meeting scheduled for July 5, 2019 and therefore decided to hurriedly send a letter alleging that the court case to determine the genuine party executives has been withdrawn.

While denying Ametuo’s claim that all executives and stakeholders have come to reconciliation and unanimously agreed to adopt indirect primaries, Yusufu regretted that APC’s NWC based their decision on that blatant falsehood. He disclosed that Kogi APC has two parallel factions, stressing that even as a case was still pending in court, more party executives have been coming out to support the litigation.

Yusufu maintains that Ametuo transmitted his deceptive letter regardless of the fact that there was a pending court case in a bid to deceive the NWC and to further Governor Yahaya Bello’s desperation for a second term. According to Yusufu, the NWC’s decision came less than two hours after the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja adjourned the suit based on lingering factionalization crisis till October 2, 2019.

While insisting that the NWC acted in error based on false information, Yusufu said: “Tom Adejoh, the duly elected party Secretary, Apostle Destiny Eneojoh Aromeh, duly elected party Ex-officio member from Ibaji Local Government Area in the 2018 Congress, Isah Abubakar, the duly elected State Organising Secretary from the 2018 party congress and Noah Aku, duly elected State Zonal Youth Leader, had written a letter to inform the NWC of the pending case.”

He added that the faction also explained in the letter their own disposition toward direct primaries and advised the NWC to overturn the earlier announcement in favour of indirect primaries in 48 hours and exercise restraint until the court has reached a final judgment on the pending case.

Also throwing his weight behind Yusufu’s assertions, Aromeh, an APC Ex-officio in the state stated: “A case is in court. To avoid a recap of the unfortunate saga in Zamfara and Rivers States, where the party ended up not fielding candidates in those states happening in Kogi State, the NWC should reverse the decision on indirect primaries and settle for direct primaries since the court is yet to decide which exco is the authentic one.

“In his desperation for a second term after a disastrous first, Yahaya Bello induced Hadi Ametuo and other party elements to put together a bogus and shallow reconciliation, a sham that left out other duly elected party executives who are ill-disposed to indirect primaries.

“It looks like Zamfara and Rivers States’ scenario is playing out again where APC lost out due to internal fractures. Governor Yahaya Bello’s desperation could possibly leave APC empty-handed after the November gubernatorial election.”

COALITION DOUBTS BELLO'S INVINCIBILITY
Meanwhile, the Coalition of Governorship Aspirants, who spoke through Amade, recalled how Bello, who was relatively unknown politically, almost upstaged late Abubakar Audu in the 2015 party primary despite the fact that he controlled the party structure at the time. Amade, who has the backing of no fewer than 36 governorship aspirants, threw his weight behind the decision by the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole-led APC to settle for the use of indirect primaries mode to select its governorship aspirant in Kogi State.

They described a band of 20 governorship aspirants who last week opposed the use of indirect primaries mode as paid agents of the opposition PDP keen on undermining the prospect of APC ahead of the November 16 governorship poll.

The coalition stated: “We are shocked because some of the individuals who came here as aspirants seeking the party’s ticket were openly working for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) up to the last round of elections just three months ago. It is also clear to anybody who is on ground in Kogi State that the real aim of these so-called aspirations is to destabilise the party from within as we go into the 2019 Kogi State Governorship Elections.

“In fact, pretending to be aspirants is just the latest weapon in the arsenal they have consistently attacked us with. It is on record that since the emergence of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as Governor, the party has suffered many things in their hands. Court cases, media attacks, ethnic sentiments, religious bias, and even violence. The NWC must not allow them to pull the wool over its eyes now.” The coalition noted that APC in Kogi State has always adopted indirect primaries, stressing that it has always worked for her.

“In 2015, indirect primaries produced the late Prince Abubakar Audu (may his soul rest in peace). In 2019, indirect primaries gave us two out of three Senators, seven out of nine House of Representatives’ members and 25 out of 25 state House of Assembly members. We do they want to change a winning formula so late in the game if they do not have sinister intentions. The closest thing to direct primaries we ever tried in Kogi APC was the recall exercise on the Senator for Kogi West who decamped to the opposition after being elected on our ticket; that recall exercise failed. Should we not therefore suspect the motive of persons who want to force the volatile direct primaries on us?”

The APC aspirants said contrary to the clear and express directives of the NEC and the NWC, which have approved and reaffirmed indirect primaries for Kogi State based on the guidelines, “these so-called aspirants came here on Monday trying to dictate direct primaries for us. All we can say is that these men have become the arrowhead of a demonic plot to push APC into costly mistakes, which will cost her the November election and hand Kogi State over to the opposition. We will not allow that.”

“We have proof that in anticipation of their success in moving the NWC to adopt direct primaries, some of the aspirants who turned up here last Monday have started printing hundreds of thousands of APC Kogi membership cards. They are also compiling rival membership registers in a bid to make sure the confusion is complete. We therefore state categorically that there are no factions in Kogi APC and no rival claimants to the leadership of it.

“Alhaji Haddy Ametuo, our authentic former chairman and Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, our incumbent state chairman have since put aside their differences and are working hand-in-hand towards the indirect primaries approved for us. The case filed by the Ametuo faction against the party has come to an end with the filing of a notice of withdrawal. The Supreme Court has held that by filing a Notice of Discontinuance such as Haddy Ametuo has done, the plaintiff voluntarily puts an end to the action he instituted. Outside of these, there is no other person or group to whom Kogi APC owes anything beyond a level playing field.”

Without taking side,I feel the direct primary method is too cumbersome as compared to the indirect method which is more manageable, but there's the need to refine n strengthen the indirect method,my suggestion is to develop a system of fix delegates thus: for gubernatorial primaries the following persons only shall be delegates, all elected national, state n local government party exco members, all elected president or vice president from the state, governor, deputy governor, legislative members at all levels from the state, all wards legally elected exco members n no any other person, adhoc delegates or the idea of electing someone just to be a delegate should be cancelled, this way the delegates will be known at all times n accessible by all candidates, same fix delegates method should also be develop for all category of primaries, the present method makes it possible for the governors to hijacked the delegates n make them in accessible to other candidates,in some cases nobody even get to know the identity n actual number of the delegates n there by creating avenues for rancour.

Very unreasonable reason indeed.
Go n keep standing mister man, it's clear you hate Christiano Ronaldo if not you know too well Ronaldo n Bernardo are form the same country n both had a very good season with their respective clubs, it's their performance in their Euro Nations league winning national team that gave Ronaldo the edge n that is primarily due to Ronaldo's important numbers in front of goal especially at very critical moments,if you are not satisfied you can go n protest in front of UEFA HQ ok.

He should be crying if he truly understood the bolded.

Some people are just too zombified to post anything reasonable.
He accused someone, you ask for a simple evidence, he started asking question instead of presenting the evidence.

Someone needs to open a new forum for zombies and call it zombiland cheesy
Bro you got it good, this guys keep tarnishing Atiku's image with negative press n no iota of evidence to prove it, this convinces me more than ever that there is something this people desperately don't want Atiku in leadership n whatever it is, it's certainly not for the benefit of the nation but there's only.

And u think is all the married men that actively take care of their women. I just wish ur type of a man will come and live in the state. U will watch ur wife Bleep and over Bleep another man and the least u will do is just to walk out and she wont even noticed ur aren't around honestly. And before u look back, she is happily married to another man. I sincerely pity naija women for they have suffered in the hands of u cheaters
I didn't say all the married men do,I was just stating a fact I know, most men cheat, it's only when one is caught that it becomes a public issue, married women equally cheats but I still insist that the woman always stand to lose more in a marriage break up especially here in Africa, but if I were to be in the states and my wife choose to be a LovePeddler I'm not goingi to kill nobody but get her fast out of my life n let each of us bear our cross, I'm not conversant with the marriage laws in US but I have heard stories about having to share properties during divorce perhaps that's why the men there seems to be so scared but I'm sure they are not really faithful either,if you are a woman n feels going out to Bleep any man just to get at your man for cheating will serve you well, then go on you will rip whatever is the consequence n if you are a man,try to be faithful but if you must cheat, respect your wife do it secretly n take good precautions knowing that when you are caught it ain't gonna be funny.

Nice Response there!

Besides, What Effort has Maraji or what is she called, made to sample other ways or scriptures before she come to conclusion that other ways are not the way or "wrong". i.e. you cannot say "Americans are better than Europeans if you have related with the two nations."
The issue is, every religion Islam inclusive teaches the same idea of it been the only right way,so maraji was not wrong after all.

Gistring:
Juliet Ibrahim appealed to women to quit their 'unwholesome marriages' as she opened up on her divorce during her book launch in Ghana.

The Ghanaian actress admonished the public on not judging people who want to end their marriages as she told Citi News that hers left her in a dark place where she was miserable.

”People have had their own perception about what led to my divorce.I have sat down for many years and have had to deal with the pain and insults from the public who had no clue what I went through as a person during that period and how it affected me.

“The depression and all that happened. All I will say is you should never judge someone who wants to come out of a marriage. Because sometimes it is better to come out of it than to stay in it. For your own sanity and mental stability it us always good to take a bold decision for yourself. For your kids, if there are kids involved take a bold decision,” she said.

Juliet Ibrahim had before now revealed that her marriage was a mistake which shouldn't have happened while pointing out that her ex-husband's family was never in support of it. She reportedly married Kwadwo Safo in 2010, after she got pregnant for him in the course of their friendship. They were however granted divorce in June 2014, after he allegedly cheated on her.

All this women crying cheating all over the place,my advice is this,if your man truly loves you, respect you,n takes good care of you n the family be careful not to loss him because of cheating, men have sex with women not necessarily because they love such women but just to relieve the pressure of lust, now if anyone ask what about women, mind you the man marry n cater for the woman n not the other way around, now if the woman choose to go on the slightest excuse the man can always get another woman but the woman will end up with stories n Lamentations, any woman that equates herself with men n decide to engage her man in competition with always end up losing,I don't pretend n I Know as a man that very very few men can truly claim 100% faithfulness to their partners but the good part is almost all men that cheat does so secretly out of respect for their women n with the consciousness of their families safety by taking precautions,I have one principle in life and it has helped me a lot i.e In every situation always think first of what you stand to gain or loss before taking any action.I don't expect everyone to agree with me though.

Lol. And who says Mr. Atiku Abubakar will ever denounce RUGA? Yet, Atiku is a darling of most voters in the South East?

RUGA is not bad, Atiku don't have to renounce it but simply convince the north n fulani about the business opportunities that abound in it n then restrict it to the north for the time being that's all,RUGA is rejected Nationwide n with good reason because people look at it as an attempted by buhari to impose his kinsmen on the whole country to perpetuate their political dominance n that is unacceptable.

kahal29:
Sen. Walid Jibrin, the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has urged Nigerians to embrace the establishment of Rural Grazing Areas (RUGA) programme of the Federal Government.

He also explained that the programme would boost food security and improve on the health and standard of living of rural communities.

Jibrin, who is also the Sarkin (leader) of Fulani in Nasarawa state, commended the federal government for introducing the RUGA programme in the country considering its importance.

“I am not in APC, I am a PDP chieftain. But when we talk of development and security, we should leave anything about politics, religion and tribe.

“Whoever is ruling in Nigeria, if he brings any programme that will do away with insecurity, killings.

“And will take care of the welfare of the people, I will go by that. My politics is not a do or die and I play politics without bitterness.

“That is why I am and we Fulani commends the Federal Government for introducing the RUGA project in the country.

“I and our tribe (Fulani) had embraced the programme. RUGA project include provision of hospitals, schools, water supply and electricity, among other facilities, which will have direct bearing on the lives of the herders.

“Apart from that, it will also tackle incessant farmers/herdsmen conflicts as well as boost food security in the country,” he said.

Jibrin also called on the Igbo and Yoruba ethnic groups to embrace the programme in the interest of national development.

“About 12 states in the North have already embraced it and has already started the project including Nasarawa State.

“So, I am calling on the Southerners, the Igbos, the Yorubas, among others, to embrace it, evenhough the project is not compulsory.

“The project will keep the herdsmen one, safe and will improve on their welfare as some states in the South East have already promised to donate land for the project,” he noted.

He therefore called on all herdsmen and other Nigerians to shun armed robbery, kidnapping and other negative tendencies in the interest of peace and development.

The PDP BOT chairman also urged Nigerians to live peacefully irrespective of their ethnic, religious and political affiliation for develoment to reign. (NAN)

The RUGA idea is not bad provided it remains in the north n in states voluntarily interested, any attempt by whatsoever guise to impose it on other states forcefully will just be a recipe for disaster.
