It is d duty of d state Attorney to furnish d court with fact to buttress their arguments of public interest vs individual rights and it is d duty of d judges to weigh on d justice scale and give verdicts. That is why there is room for appeal of cases to a superior court if u loose out at a lower one. stagger: Did you watch Alloy Agu in USSR '85? The U20 tournament where we won a bronze? Did you watch him lose 2 teeth saving the Super Eagles in Ghana? Or saving us from collecting a basketful of goals in Yaounde when Njonkep Bonaventure and Omam Biyik ran us ragged in a World Cup qualifier for Italia '90?
Then let me come down to late Wilfred Agbonavbare. He was a star goalkeeper at New Nigerian Bank, one of Nigeria's top clubs that produced Stephen Keshi, Humphrey Edobor, Henry Nwosu and co. He also did exploits as Abiola Babes goalkeeper. Watch Nigeria's World Cup quaifier against CIV here in Lagos in 1994 when we won 4-1. He saved us from collecting several goals in that game. Then watch his performances in La Liga playing for Rayo Vallecano.
When his death was announced, the entire stadium rose and applauded him for several minutes and raised a banner in his honour, stating that he will never be forgotten. Even Nigeria did not do such for him.
I don't think you really followed football in the 80s. Of a truth I didn't follow football in the early 80s,I first football at Mexico 86 as a kid,but at Senegal 92 Alloy was not sharp he could have been a junior level with over age,the match in younde you mentioned,I believe David Nghodiga was the first choice Alloy came in when the cameroun player Benjamin massing injured Nghodiga in the neck in a collision,as for Agbonibare he was making so call waves for Rayo vallecano in Spain when he was drafted into the national team he showed some flashes n later became a flop,I remember vividly how the press later Nick named him AGBONIBASKET,we always have good things to say about the dead, look at uzoho,it was the same case of a teenager making waves, how has it turned out for our 19yrs old now, years down the road somebody would say uzoho was a great keep abi?,Alloy can enjoy his present position but need to sit up n do better or he should be ship out |

References: Super Eagles Goalkeeper Coach, Alloy Agu has revealed that there are efforts to bring in new goalkeepers by scouting “both home and abroad” to bolster the team, reports footballlive.ng.
Addressing questions on Nigeria’s challenge with finding a formidable goaltender since the exit of Carl Ikeme and the inconsistency with the three goalkeepers selected for the AFCON 2019, Agu said: “A lot of things have been said about that department and that department has also lived up to expectations.
Before I took up the job of the Super Eagles, Enyeama was the fourth choice goalkeeper of the team,” Agu said. “Enyeama became the first choice under my watch. He has a record since the inception of our World Cup campaign that none after him has been able to break until date. “When Enyeama left the show, I brought in Carl Ikeme. Ikeme did so well for Nigeria that goalkeeping position was solidified until he fell sick, and I had to bring in the same Daniel Akpeyi.
“At one time we played against Algeria in the World Cup qualifiers, the same Akpeyi rescued us and we beat the Algerian team that was number one in Africa at the time.
“So, this is the situation, now we’re working and I can tell you categorically that I have embarked with the scouting team on a search within and outside Nigeria to make sure that we get reliable hands that can solidify that goalkeeping position in the Super Eagles.”
On the goal that sunk Nigeria at the semifinals of the just concluded African Cup of Nations, Agu said it would be “consciously” brought to the goalkeepers’ awareness on how best to take charge in free-kick situations.
With the score tied at 1-1, Akpeyi was beaten by Riyad Mahrez, the goalkeeper was standing behind the wall, gifting the Algerian dead-ball specialist a lot of room to pick his spot and curl it past the wall. That error shouldn’t have happened and Agu is determined to eliminate the chances of that embarrassment reoccurring. “In the near future when we have that kind of situation, what we need to do as we continue to advance is that you form your wall and ensure you’re in contact with the ball. “Also you take your action the moment the ball is kicked, then you react because you can see where the ball is headed." He said.
https://m.guardian.ng/sport/super-eagles-begin-search-for-new-goalkeepers/ Akpeyi was not even standing behind the wall,he simply hadn't good reflexes,he can't lift n dive sharply,he is always looking confused n indecisive, between Akpeyi n ezenwa, the later is much better but it's the coaches call to make,by the way Alloy Agu just like Agbonibare were not excellent keepers,I watch Alloy at Senegal 92 were he was always diving late now he is forming expert, the great keepers I personally watched were Peter Rufai,David Nghodiga,n Vincent Eyeanma. |

Atiku: I know your problem... Maybe e for sweet you if Dem name am coast guard instead of SBS No he is correct,SBS is the Navy's equivalent of the army's SPECIAL FORCE.be that as it may,I don't think we need the coast guard as a separate branch of the armed forces,a unit can be created within the Navy for that if necessary.what Nigeria urgently need to do now is to restructure the police n civil defense corps,I will suggest the police act is repealed n reenacted in which the appointment n dismissal of the IG should be subject to Senate confirmation n his term of office should be fixed (a single term of four years),let the operational units of the police like PMF,SPU,CTU be given basic military training n their weaponry increase to handle substantial challenges instead of engaging the military in all sort situations, the civil defense should take over the provision of security in civil settings like schools, hospitals, government civil offices, civil factories, palaces, markets, etc while the conventional police should concentrate on patrols, essential guard duties, investigation, intelligence gathering, prosecution etc.the security manpower may not be enough presently but the situation is made worse by poor planning, priorities n utilisation. |

Politics › Re: Atiku's INEC Server, Scam Of The Century (PM News) by Deepthoughts: 8:28am On Jul 21, 2019 |
Phantomine: Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and his Peoples Democratic Party had eggs on their faces Friday as the theory of an INEC server, the pillar of their cases against President Muhammadu Buhari collapsed like a house built with sand.
There was no INEC server. There was no result published on INEC server. Atiku had been scammed big time and it will go into the records as the scam of the century.
That was the loud and clear message at the Presidential Election Tribunal as Atiku closed his case and the court adjourned till 29 July for the defence to open its case.
There is certainly no need for the defence to open any case. There is nothing to defend as Atiku and the PDP had failed convincingly to prove the existence of any other result apart from the one declared by INEC on 27 February, with Buhari beating Atiku by about four million votes. Buhari got 15.1 million votes, Atiku got 11.2million votes.
According to Atiku, the INEC server gave him victory over Buhari, winning 18,356,732 votes to defeat Buhari who he claimed scored 16,741,430 votes.
With the anti-climax of Friday, Atiku’s case, all the past weeks had become a riveting theatre of the absurd and entertainment. He and his team of legal luminaries and witnesses had wasted everyone’s time, pushing a specious thesis that does not exist. A server, now where is the server?
On the last day of providing irrefutable proof that he won the presidential election and beat President Muhammadu Buhari, Atiku’s two ‘star witnesses’ were a study in high comedy.
Both the uncertified ‘expert’ from Kenya, David Ayu Nyango Njoga and former aviation minister Osita Chidoka miserably failed to establish the existence of the server allegedly used by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the transmission of election results during the last general elections.
Incredibly the two star witnesses, who claimed they had information that INEC used a server, got their information from anonymous sources, possibly in a beer parlour or the dark web of whistleblowing.
Both witnesses stammered when challenged to authenticate their claims.
Chidoka ought to have known better. He was a witness to the manual collation of the presidential election result at the International Conference Centre in Abuja after the election on 23 February. How did he come about the INEC server theory?
He confirmed to the Presidential Election Tribunal that the results were collated nationwide manually, and still added idiotically that he learnt the result of the election was “transmitted by INEC electronically to the INEC server.”
He collapsed under cross-examination by lawyer to INEC, Yunus Usman (SAN). When asked if he witnessed the transmission, Chidoka said he was not present when the alleged electronic transmission was done.
On whether he has ever seen the said server or knows its location, the witness said: “I have not seen the server, but before the election and during collation, the INEC Chairman talked about the existence of server.”
When asked to provide the server address, Chidoka said the one he referred to was the same address provided by the anonymous whistleblower.
Chidoka said he witnessed the manual collation of election results at the national level and was told by his party’s agents that collation was also manual at the state, ward and polling unit levels.
Under cross-examination by lawyer to President Muhammadu Buhari, Dr. Alex Izinyon (SAN), Chidoka admitted that he did not witness all he claimed happened during the election.
Njoga, who claimed to be an Information Technology (ICT) expert from Kenya, said he was engaged by the petitioners to analyse results of the election as obtained from INEC server and stored in a website:“https://www.factsdontlieng.com/.”
When asked whether INEC owns the website, the witness said no, but that the data it contains are from INEC server.
Njoga, claimed that the website: “https://www.factsdontlieng.com/” is owned by an INEC official, who provided the election result figures. When asked to name the said INEC official, the witness said: “My lord, the INEC official is anonymous and I do not know him.”
Under cross-examination by the leader of Buhari’s legal team, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), Njoka said the website was created on March 12, 2019. When reminded that the presidential election held on February 23 and the results released before March 12, the witness went blank.
The resounding collapse of Atiku’s INEC server may have knocked the bottom out of his case at the tribunal.
His other redeeming planks remain whether he has proven substantially election irregularities in the states.
It remains to be seen from 29 July, whether this is also not another illusion.
https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2019/07/20/atikus-inec-server-scam-of-the-century/ Apc/buhari paid agents filling up the media with bias news just to corrupt the public mind against Atiku/pdp,did you people expect the identity of the INEC official who provided the information to be revealed,or do you people expected INEC to have openly operated a website in respect of the server operation that was a secret criminal collaboration between them n Apc/buhari?,try as much as you people can,you will never fool everyone,no matter what happens buhari's reign will certainly end someday n all the truth been concealed by propaganda lies n deciet shall be eventually revealed. |

Prof. Ango Abdullahi, had on Tuesday claimed to have received report of violence in some sections of the country against the herdsmen, Igbere TV reports.
“We have heard in the few hours ago that some violence had already started to manifest in some sections of the country against the herdsmen.
“If it is indeed true that their safety is not guaranteed in the places where they are residing, we would rather have them back into areas where their safety is guaranteed, and they should be coming back as much as possible to the North" he said.
Reacting to the comment credited to the Chairman of the Northern Elders Forum, the South-West governors' in its statement said it was a 'palpable trepidation and outrage, and a sustained attempts to fan the ember of discord'.
However Femi Fani-Kayode was not pleased with the counter-statement and he described it as 'weak, cowardly, meaningless and nonsensical'. The former Aviation Minister tweeted;
The SW Governors response to the call for the Fulani terrorists to leave the SW was weak, cowardly, meaningless and nonsensical. They could not even muster the courage to talk until after Buhari had spoken. Someone pl ask them: are u with the Yoruba people or with Fulani Buhari?”

masternoble: I initially approached her during my 300 level first semester last year, though I was not straight forward letting my intentions known to her. Then as we entered second semester same session I shot my shot and she accepted my proposal. Throughout the three months we spent during the session, we only had wonderful romantic moments no sex though which I never demanded from her because I did not want everything to happen too fast despite realizing she keeps numerous guys around.
Fast forward, we entered another session our final year. And my birthday happened to be on the 26th of April, she got excited to celebrate with me and came for the first time to my new lodge. As a nice lover, I served her her favorite food which we ate together then proceeded with our normal romantic gestures till I got to her panties and her mood changed all of a sudden, I still never mind and tried all I could to relax her mind for the act and she resisted and begged me to stop for my good sake.
I got angry and enquired why I should not have my way into her and her response still got me confused till now. She told me that am one of a rare nice guy she has met in her life, that she doesn't deserve me because she is not good in health and would not want to see me suffer like most bad guys she had come across, also that it will be more better for me to just enjoy friendship with her with no sex attached. Ever since then, my mind has been pondering why she made those statements. Why she considers me nice and not deserving? Or is she giving me those excuses to deny me sex?
Please fellow Nairalanders advise me concerning the situation. Should I quit the relationship with her and move on? gal said she is not good in health, instead of you find out specifically what she meant you are here shouting for advice, you'd better thank your God n wise up don't let excessive lust for sex send you down a black hole. |
