I doubt I would go just so that she doesn't feel uncomfortable when she's supposed to say her vows. But if she insists I would but I'll make sure to take my wife/girlfriend/potential girlfriend just so that she sees I have moved on too and so she should do the same.
That is if you have moved on. undecided undecided
PoliticsRe: Deputy Senate President On CNN (Video) by DeepZone: 7:23pm On Sep 05, 2008
I find absolutely nothing wrong with his response - his replies were well composed, thought out and coherent.

I'm guessing the author of this thread wanted a specific response, while the Senator gave one that was from his own view point.

She asked him about electoral reform, he responded, making the very necessary observation about internal party democracy. He wasn't the one who brought the subject up, so in that regard you are very wrong.

With regards to Oshiomhole, you exhibit sheer ignorance - the matter has been appealed and that is why Osunbor is still there - as far as I know, he said nothing false or inaccurate. He simply said reforms are being implemented, he did not claim that things are perfect in Nigeria.

Leave your extreme view point for a moment and watch objectively, this man gave an intelligent and well mannered opinion of Nigeria in his conversation. Why are you saying he is congratulating the NDI for 'giving' him visa? Don't you know senators hold diplomatic passports and can go wherever they wish?
It was prudent of him to mention the NDI, to show the whole world that it wasn't some jamboree on government funds, but that he actually had a real agenda/mission - meeting with world leaders and sharing opinions.
Perfect response!!!

Deepzone please watch it one more time , maybe another time after that , and another , sometimes the word that defines the condition of having to repeatedly go over something before assimilation is called "AUTISM" or in more simplistic terms , "that Bro is dammmn slooow
@Jameela, if you have a personal agro with that guy and you are hating that the CNN gave his audience, let us know and we may offer some help. There were 5 of them that attended the DNC and he was chosen for the interview probably by the other 4, so they wouldn't choose him to go and represent us if he's a retard.

this is just another excuse, so every election in nigeria must be rigged. hasn't low voter turn out being a problem in nigeria too. maybe nigerians should be educated about the power of their vote rather than selling it for a bag of rice and crate of coca-cola. if u think an election was rigged, why not let your voice known to an election tribunal. it's high time, nigerians start questioning their politicians during campaigns rather than the normal " i would provide, food, electricity, water, and free education" fools gold promises.
Actually you are right.

Deepzone, you are here again. How u dey? I know your efforts @ attacking Islam and Muslims(your topic on Murtala still ongoing on Politics thread?) from all angles on Nairaland will one day yield positive result. Yes, positive result, the result that will make you eternally be grateful to God that you embarked on a mission to fight Islam and Muslims:

And this woman tells you how she got the ONLY POSSIBLE RESULT I'm talking about.

Enjoy: http://www.islamfortoday.com/aminahassilmi1.htm
My Question was: To what extent is Islam fostering the equality of sexes or are they still living in the 12th century and you are posting a story of a confused woman that embraced Islam out of myopia?

My Ex's wedding for what?

Am I the chairperson of the day? What do I stand to gain from attending her wedding. I wish her well, but I have no relevance with her wedding.

She belongs to my past, and let it stay there!

Also, no ex-girl of mine would EVER know when I get married. Do not want any drama queens for OUR DAY.
@Bold, That says a lot about you and how you treated them. If you are owing any of them, just return the money before your wedding because she'll smell the ground and find you on that day. You see why i don't attend weddings anyhow especially when the guy in question is crooked b/c you may get shot in a crossfire.

You can never satisfy an average Nigerian, no way.
If i say that Nigeria is a failed state; you will be the first to ask me what i'm doing to make the country great. Now, i have stated my plans and you are discouraging me with your silly and cowardly comment.

Shame on you Nigerians; cowards.
We Nigerians are cowards? I guess that includes your family too unless they are not Nigerians?.

Exactly we should all learn to act responsibly and not be selfish betrayers. If anybody did that to me, I would make sure the marriage does not hold, if it holds, they will not have kids, if they have kids they will not grow up, if they grow up, they will not, In fact , I don't know what else to say.
@Bold, you must be an angry young brother.Take easy my brother and don't curse how much less innocent children.

25. If a person has four wives, he cannot marry a fifth woman. If he happens to divorce one of his four wives, another woman cannot marry him until the one who is divorced completes her iddah.
What is iddah? How long does it take to complete it? can a woman marry more than one husband at a time in Islam since they permit a man to do so?

IslamRe: Incest And Islam by DeepZone(op): 8:35am On Sep 05, 2008
Incest (noun 1. sexual intercourse between closely related persons), is permitted in Islam to a large extent.
That's why Muslim countries have some of the highest levels of congenital birth defects.
Result of inbreeding.
No wonder.

Littelb gave you enough explanations. Perhaps you mean marriage between cousins Huh Excuse me Huh Do you know any religion against it. Let's be specific, we are talking about religions not cultures
Do you know any other religion that permits cousins to marry except islam?

The Late hero, Major Chukwuma Patrick Kaduna Nzeogwu was born in kaduna and was named kaduna; and kaduna is a hausa word. He was not a northerner but he still bore the name till he died during the Nigeria/Biafra civil war. So bearing a hausa name when you are hausa does not make you a hausa man.
What made him a hero? Because he planned a bloody coup? That means that mamman Vista, Abacha, Orkar, Dimka, Murtala Muhammed, IBB, Buhari are all heros in your book? malu!!!

I've listened to his response for the third time and am yet to get what the poster meant. This is a live TV and he's an international. Will Obama or mccain answer questions about Nigerian politics that way? Was it not GW Bush that thought that Africa is a country(simple geography) yet, they voted him in. Again, he told the woman that he was grateful the DNC gave them the opportunity to attend their convention, how did that translate to visa? especially for a man that was living in the US? Obama said the same thing during his European tour in Berlin, does it mean he was thanking the German govt for giving him visa? Get a life bro.

Same with girls that allow some OMATA at Onitsha main market "train" them in school then they go off to marry some new lover when someone else has basically fed her whole family for 10 years while waiting patiently for her to ripen.
Did they sign a contract with those women before providing squarely for their families?

Don't come to Nairaland with lewd topics on how your wedding was disrupted.
hannibal is serious here because if you ever date and dump him, he must find a way and crash into your wedding for disruption purposes. I'm making plans to refund his $10k before i wed unless I'll take my wedding to New Zealand. He's damn serious.
