What of FBI most wanted foreigners or is it only Nigerians you saw there. Go to AMW.com and tell me how many Nigerians there. |
What's your standard for the reverence? |
God bless you. Although the 6.5BN may have been an inflated figure but there should be some form form of proximity between the loot and the restitution. 500M is just gross.Refunds 500M out of 6.5B, let us do that math, it doesnt add up at all, and how much money has the EFCC spent recovering 500M, what a bad investment. |
I knew it! One Nigerian juju-believer would mention that nonsense called juju.God bless you. |
What else do you want.I want a jail sentence because Ladoja is a felon. |
As no be woman kill this high raking civil service official, then it has to be "juju" from those that want to take over his seat. Why are you so anal? Why must it be juju? Do you know when he went for a medical check up last? Ok, I get it, Yoruba people killed him with juju, abi?. Hypertension/stroke/heart failure etc can kill you like this and that is what is killing many Nigerians but they prefer to call it juju. Stop eating too much egusi, red meat, palm oil etc and you'll live longer and stop pointing at somebody for your carelessness. Nonsense. |
where did this thread come from? |
It's much better than nothing. At least the funds returned can be spent properly by the new governor.Isn't that mediocrity? It's like forgiving an armed robber because he didn't commit any murder during his operation besides recovering the loot. Afterall, it's better than nothing. These men should be chilling in Alagbon by now for stealing public funds. |
Corruption or Misrule no be birth right of any group. If you wan hit on the guy ,pursure am as human being not where the guy come from.because na this kind thing make nazis follow JewsThis is no joke. Do you remember that Nigerian that was jailed last year in Europe for cracking a joke like this? Just stay up north if you have to crack jokes with the holocaust. |
The first shall be the last. |
It should be the federal comptroller of works. |
Well, this is just another story we are used to.My problem is why they keep asking for restitution without any form of punishment? If the punishment for stealing in Nigeria is restitution, then, everybody will embark on stealing after all if you are caught, all you have to do is give it back. |
Ethiopian Airline hands Nigerian passengers to police Shola Adekola, Lagos Thursday, September 4, 2008 SEVEN Nigerian passengers were at the weekend maltreated and handed over to the police by Ethiopian Airline. The passengers, who boarded the flight from Dubai-Ethiopia enroute Lagos, were disembarked following their complaints about the faulty cooling system of the aircraft. The crew, who got annoyed with the complaint, subsequently disembarked them and handed them over to the police. While reacting, the Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Harold Demuren, had directed the airline to forward detailed report on the event to his office, adding that it should apologise in the media and pay compensation to the passengers. The NCAA boss was said to have warned that failure of the airline to comply would lead to the grounding of its operations in the country. It will be recalled that about 100 Nigerians suffered hardships from British security in London Heathrow on March 27 when the passengers on board protested the treatment meted out to a passenger who was to be deported. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/sep/4/603.html |
Even hungry Ethiopians insults Nigerians too? Can we start insulting foreigners in our shores too, may be they'll take us more seriously? |
Thursday, September 4, 2008 NCAA threatens to sanction Ethiopian Airlines By David Amuwa The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has threatened to stop further flights of Ethiopian Airlines in and out of the nation’s airspace over complaint of inhuman treatment to Nigerian passengers on it’s flight ET 601 operated on August 26, from Dubai to Lagos. According to a statement issued by the authority on Wednesday, the Director-General of NCAA, Dr. Harold Demuren, had received a report about the ill-treatment meted out to six Nigerians and two other nationals. The statement said that the NCAA boss had summoned the officials of the airline in Lagos to a meeting. He specifically directed officials of the airline to forward written apology to the Federal Government and the affected passengers, with commensurate compensations. The statement noted that airline had, complied just when this statement was about being released. Meanwhile, the National Union of Air Transport Employee on Wednesday suspended its protest against the British carriers, British Airways, over the failure of the airline to review the condition of service of its Nigerian workers. The development was disclosed to journalists by the General Secretary of the Union, Mr. Kareem Motajo, at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos. He said that the suspension followed the intervention of the Ministry of Labour to hold a meeting between the two parties. Motajo said that the outcome of the Monday, September 8, meeting scheduled between the union and BA management would determine the next line of action. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/sep/4/409.html |

Man with 86 wives disappears From Aisha Wakaso in Minna, 09.04.2008 Alhaji Abuabakar Bello Massaaba, the man with 86 wives, who was given 48 hours by the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, to divorce 82 of his wives or face banishment, has disappeared from Bida, his home town. Bello allegedly disappeared without divorcing any of his 86 wives, as directed by the Etsu Nupe, last week. THISDAY gathered that Bello had earlier sent message to the Etsu Nupe on Tuesday, that he would be in the palace to inform him of which of the wives he had divorced, but did not show up at the appointed time, only for one of his aides to surface at the palace to apologise that Bello would be there at 3 00p.m. At 3.00 p.m., Bello was also not there, forcing the monarch to send emissary to his residence, but the gates were locked. A man at the gate reportedly told the emissary that Bello had not been seen since Sunday, and nobody could say where he was. All efforts to contact either the scholar or his secretary on their mobile phones were abortive, as the phones were switched off. The Emirate Council and the Niger State Shariah Commission are now considering the next line of action. Last Thursday, an assembly of people from Nupe Kingdom, incuding Islamic scholars from within and outside the state, tried Bello for what they called anti-Muslim behaviour and bringing Islam to disrepute by marrying more than four wives, and directed that he diviorces 82 of his wives within 48 hours. Abuabakar, who gave the order on behalf of the Assembly, said he could not guarantee Bello's security if he fails to obey it. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/sep/4/203.html |
Ladoja, others refunded N500m Oyo funds – EFCC By Kayode Ketefe The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday claimed that a former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, and others believed to be involved in siphoning more than N6.5bn belonging to the state have refunded N500m. The commission made the claim at the hearing of the bail applications by Ladoja and two former officials of the state — Mr. Waheed Akanbi and Chief Adewole Atanda — by a Federal High Court in Lagos. “The accused persons have made confessional statements; in fact they and others at large have made N500m refund,” the commission’s lawyer, Mr. Festus Keyamo, said. He added that their confessional statements suggested that they might have committed the offences for which they were being tried. Keyamo also said that the affidavits supporting the applications of Akanbi, a former commissioner for Finance and Budget and Atanda, an ex-chairman of the state housing corporation, were fraught with defects which made them legally inadmissible. “The statements made by the accused persons are damning,” he said, and then urged presiding Justice Ishaq Sanni to deny them bail because they were “political heavyweights,” that could interfere with the prosecution witnesses. The former governor, together with Akanbi and Atanda were arraigned on Friday on a 29-count charge of conspiracy to defraud the state government, abuse of office, stealing, disobedience of constituted authority, and diversion of funds. Before Keyamo spoke Mr. Tayo Oyetibo(SAN), who represented Atanda, urged the court to admit all the accused to bail since they were men of integrity. He added that all the counts in the charge preferred against the accused “related to only one transaction.” He accused the EFCC of repeating the counts in order to make the offences looked grave. The senior advocate further said the accused had been frequenting the EFCC office since December 2007 upon invitations and pointed out that since they had not fled all these days, they would not jump bail . Oyetibo, who said that the offences were bailable under section 118 (2) and (3) of the Criminal Procedure Act, concluded his argument by pleading a “special circumstance” for bail for his client. He said that Atanda was suffering from diabetes mellitus which required regular medical attention. Mr. Yakubu Bayero, lawyer to Ladoja and Akanbi, reinforced the arguments canvassed by Oyetibo in his submissions and prayed the court to grant them bail. After listening to the arguments, Sanni , who reserved the ruling on the bail applications till Friday, ordered that accused be returned to the custody of the EFCC. Ladoja, Akanbi and Atanda were alleged to have contravened diverse sections of the EFCC Act, the Criminal Code, the Money Laundering Prohibition Act and the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act. A company, Heritage Apartments Limited, was also included in the charge-sheet for having been purportedly used by the accused to facilitate the fraud. Ladoja was alleged to have siphoned over N6.5bn illegally from the state coffers during the later part of his tenure as governor. He was said to have used Atanda to divert the fund while he also collaborated, to a lesser degree, with Akanbi to facilitate the fraud. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/sep/4/418.html |
Federal controller slumps, dies From Tunde Sanni in Ibadan, 09.04.2008 Thursday, September 4, 2008 The Federal Controller of Works in charge of Oyo State, Mr. Ikenna Ohanwe, Tuesday slumped in his office and died in the hospital. A source, who craved anonymity at the Federal Ministry of Works, Bodija, Ibadan, told THISDAY that Ohanwe reported for duty Tuesday without showing any sign of illness. He said the workers Monday had noticed that he appeared tired and bored, and he was asked what the problem was. The controller, according to him, had thanked his subordinates for their concern, promising that he needed to rest. He said nobody knew what had happened until a member of staff attached to the Controller’s office, who had just got back from an errand at about 12. 30pm, went to his office and found him on the floor. According to him, the staff raised an alarm which prompted other members of staff to rush him to the University Teaching Hospital (UCH). THISDAY gathered that Ohanwe was expected to travel to London today to join his family, who had been on holiday for about a month and was expected to return with them next week. “The Controller was rushed to the UCH but had his arteries and veins burst before he got to the hospital,” a source in the hospital told THISDAY. UCH spokesman, Kunle Atinwore, told newsmen that the deceased was brought to the hospital at about 12.30pm unconscious and admitted at the Emergency Unit of the hospital, while medical attention reached him on time. The hospital image-maker said further that Ohanwe later died and had been deposited at the mortuary of the hospital. He said the post-mortem of the late federal officer was yet to be done as at the time he was talking to the press. Meanwhile, a condolence register has been opened at his Old Bodija Housing Estate office, while mourners have been thronging the office to sympathise with his subordinates. A senior worker in the office, Mrs. Olusola Olarerin, lamented her boss’ death which to her was unfortunate and described the deceased as a gentleman. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/sep/4/207.html |

Bed is not the only place to pleasure your partner. You can pleasure her at the shopping mall too. |
It's time to spend and make your woman happy, guys. |
Pleasure Your Mate Month: Come to Your Senses by Courtney Mroch The month of September marks a lot of strange holidays and events, among them Pleasure Your Mate Month. Have you stopped to think about pleasuring your mate recently? What about the level of intimacy in your marriage or how to make your marriage sexier? Sponsors (article continues below) Sex and marriage is a tricky --sometimes touchy (no pun intended)-- topic, but it's important to keep a marriage sensual. But it's also hard. Kids, work, schedules, deadlines, chores, they all conspire to suck the sexy out of marriage. There isn't always enough time in the day, or energy at the end of one, to tend to the To Dos and a libido to boot. But does marriage, love and sex have to be time-intensive to bring pleasure? Do clothes have to come off and private time found in order to fan flames that may need rekindling? Not necessarily. You know what your mate likes. You know the look to give that suggests come hither. You know just where to touch to signal interest or entice a shiver. (Or at least I hope you do. If not, by all means take this month to heart and spend it finding that out, would you?) But do you remember how to make your spouse laugh? Why not spend some time looking for things that tickle your mate's funny bone, be it a card, movie or joke? When was the last time you astounded your significant other with a completely unexpected random act of kindness? One that gives them a little extra free time or a break from doing a routine chore. What about giving pleasure through sense of smell? Either via spritzing on some of that perfume/cologne he or she loves so much but that you're saving for a special occasion. Or what about the inviting aroma of a favorite dish simmering on the stove or baking in the oven? (Or, heck, radiating from a bag. Sometimes my favorite smell is take-out because it means I'm not cooking!) Let's not overlook touch. Ah, so important to any bond, but all hugs and kisses are not created equal. Instead of a quick peck to bid them adieu in the morning or hello in the evening, why be frugal with them? Why not plant a juicy one on them? One where you pull them close, entangle your fingers in their hair, caress their face, and don't pull away until you're both gasping for air. Can you even remember the last time a kiss left you breathless? http://marriage.families.com/blog/pleasure-your-mate-month-come-to-your-senses |
My question now to all you opinionated souls is this:Controversy varies. Agreed, some Nigerians try so hard to relate Abiola with the ITT project but he never committed heinous acts like Murtala Mohammed. MM was a cabal who ruled by division, he killed and maimed those that did not agree with him and who knows, had he ruled for about 4 years, sharia law would've been implemented even in the south south/south east states. |
Pleasoo, i was referring to the woman as the playa and not the man. |
Is it possible for a man to collect extra cash from his wife knowing full well she doesn't make that much from her salary without raising an eyebrow on where she got them? From the story, is it not likely that he knew what she's doing but decided to shut up because of his lazy bones? I only see a thing like this in America but not in Nigeria. |
There is generalization with every tribe. Igbo are that they like money too much,Since you know that all these generalizations are not true, why dispute Ibime's well documented evidence with a mere stereotype? In case you haven't heard, ibos do money juju, Yoruba women give it up anywhere whether it's under the stair case, hood, back seat, behind the church, first date, ijebu women are grossly wicked and fetish, hausa men are gay, Tiv women look masculine, ibo women have mustache, Yoruba women do not wear underwears and are pigs(wonder why our men were not included in this stereotype) Ijaws tend their male visitors with their teenage daughters or sisters. Calabar women are docile and can cook and kiss your ass forever etc Ekiti women are wayward So, based on that list above, will you conclude that a girl must be yoruba and not ibo or calabar because your friend told you he slept with her on top of his trunk? |
Why didn't you move from your seat or were you tied to the chair? The same reason why Jesus didn't move down from the cross and what reason is that ? you willingly wanted to die from the smell.Roflmao,Lol, these two people are serious cases . I guess it must be a Naija church where you can perceive sweat stench oozing from every corner. They really need to install odor expellers in their churches. Some people out there just smell like a British man's dentition. |
Nobody is judging anybody. I only asked why they usually gun for super preety ladies. It seems they have an eagle eye for them. It's men that pride themselves in flaunting their trophy wives that usually have that culture. Go to House on the Rock and see how the pastor dresses his altar with his super hot wife clad in expensive Italian suit. Sometimes i suspect such scenes will distract some weak men from concentrating on their messages. |
I RILY FEEL D PLIGHT OF MR PRESIDENT! I THNK OBJ IS D BRAIN BEHIND ALL THESE SORDID TALES!ON MR PRESIDNT'S PART,Y MUST HE RULE D NATION WHN ITS OBVIOUS THTS HE'S INSALUBRIOUS? Anyway, i can donate my kidney 4 him, ON ONE CONDITION,Break down your grammar please. |
They would swim backwards not because they want to. . . .but because of the stench oozing out of your wrinkled canal. How did you determine that? are you a genetic engineer? I think your sperm suffers from loss of momentum AKA low sperm count. |
