hannideep abeg there's nothing like iboIbo=Igbo=Egba=whatever!!! my mistake. |
In 30yrs nigeria would be a more industralized nation with more enlightened people. most people would have ran away to urban areas from their papa's village by then. the first/2nd generation of nigerian politicians would be dead by then so there's hope for the futureAmen. |
There would be no revolt from the north. For the past 50 years the north has never revolt over economy, only religion issues brought them to the street. there is no sign it going to change soon. The Muslim north believe that everything comes from God, therefore a bad economy too comes from God. This explain the lackadaisical attitude of a core northerner: everything is of God, man cannot change anything except its the will of God.Good observation. |
It's obvious that the Igbo tribes dominates Nairaland for example just take a close look at Igbo kwenu thread.Big lie. |

I guess he must be using a different metric system.did that report say the 40year old guyman is 8`2?HuhHuhHuhHuh?? |
Deepzone, could you please change that thing to Igbo? there is no such thing as Ibo. Thanks. Thanks, they keep correcting me on this thing over and over again but I don't know how to modify a poll. |
There is nothing wrong with it. What was wrong with the comment is stipulating the the president MUST be married to a non ibo woman to be considered when other tribes did not get such stipulations. As for me, I see the Nigerian presidency as an honorary and personal money making venture and do not care where he/she comes from because they don't have anything positive to contribute to the welfare of their people. As for people saying the ibo presidency should be due in 32 yrs, do not forget the North has three geo political zones and only one zone has ruled. I suggest the reduce their tenure to 4 years each so that the rotation can go round in 24 years. |
Nigeria is in troubleI agree with you, that's why i strongly believe that Nigeria will soon have no choice but to disintegrate. This DisUnited Kingdom called Nigeria is a temporal arrangement. The North will soon bail on us. |
This car is over priced abeg.A new camry xle in the US is not above $28k-$30K and that's about 3.2M besides, you get to choose the colour you want plus other dealership goodies that come with it; How did your own that shows check engine light transform to almost $60k? |
Do you think Nigeria at the rate she is going will comfortably celebrate her 80th birthday? |
"Interesting" comments so far. ![]() |
Let's take a statistics on the percentage of Nigerians in Nairaland by ethnic groups. Please, kindly vote for your tribe/ethnic group above. |
I conquered it in Jesus name for a Zionist to mix his precious Blood with an unclean Blood just to be a mare President of a Retard Country, We better wait for Biafra's dream to come true then we can match to the Zion with songs of Praise.Your own comment is even worse than his/hers. who and who have unclean blood in Nigeria? Much as i think his/her comment is weird and uncalled for, i think yours should fall in the same category. |
That's correct but far from the image an average American would have of a so called king.Very good point. The media may twist it to reduce every African king to a common cab driver and there goes their integrity and the integrity of every African through the window. |
What are your thoughts and fears about Nigeria in future from the way things are going now?. Do you sincerely believe that your children will see Nigeria as one in the next 30 years? If yes, what and what do you think must change for the unity to be rest assured? I think the problem of Nigeria is slowly drifting from tribal to mere civil issue, the Nigerian populace are getting tired of their leaders and may soon revolt because they are realizing that irrespective of who is leading, the pain and misery remains the same. I think this crusade will definitely start from the north. |
@DeepzoneCan you swear on their behalf that they are indeed holy and holier than others? Tell me why you think that Kumuyi is holier than Oyedepo? Tell me why Ohanebo is holier than Adeboye? |
sebi Goodluck is Ibo, so whats the problem. Why such conditions? Did you stipulate such rules for the North too? Why must the south east present a candidate that married from another tribe? Is there anything am not getting here? That's a weird opinion!! |
This same man prophesied that Obasanjo will die before Abdulsalaami hands over to him and Obasanjo is still alive till this day. Who takes him serious after that? It's like taking America's Pat Robertson serious. |
This story is not even funny to me at all. I can't imagine anybody(including my husband) mutilating my child in the name of stupid tradition. Oyo people are so fond of tribal marks irrespective of the time we live in. Who marries a girl will cat claws on her face these days? Surgery may help but not in all cases, like someone said, the younger, the better. If that mother in law can drag her fat behind to America and witness what many of my Yoruba folks with tribal marks are going through in this society and the way people stare at them like they are from "planet jungle" especially the women, she'll forever regret her actions. Even some yoruba men make fun of their own women that has those stupid marks. I can't imagine why we can't let go some traditions that has nothing but misery to offer. Someone here said it looks cool, well good for him/her but i'll advise him/ her not to enforce it on his/her children and let them decide to do it on themselves as adults. Tell your friend to suspend that car, big house etc and take that boy abroad for plastic surgery. It costs about $3k in California. Imagine that boy growing up to look like the picture below in this 21st century? I'm already losing it on that mother in law and may need someone here to hold me back. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/f7/Akintola.JPG/170px-Akintola.JPG |
Sad truth!!Goodluck Jonathan's life is in danger if he is not careful. |
@DeepzoneIt's a pity they couldn't see that i was more of their friend because I tell them the truth. They are probably used to sycophants. |
Deepzone has a rich mischief antecedents, and this thread is yet another hypocritical thread from her, to 'prove' that she's not a NORTH-HATER! We refuse to be fooled!Beleive what you like; I love them kuli kuli boys. |
mmmmmmmm so u are a mole now? i don't believe you. you are funny. keep your present temperature my dearYou better believe me. Wonders shall never end!!!! |
Even a Nigerian musician will not smile to the bank with 2M from one show because he/she will have to pay his staff, manager, taxes, bureaucracy, running expenditure etc and may end up with 500K after taking care of these things and how many times a year will he/she hold those concerts?Anyone like who?? 50 thousand naira is not a small money whether it's in Nigeria, UK, US, japan , Australia or even in heaven. |
what is happening to my great auntie?Love your neighbour as you love yourself. I just came back from Hajj. |
1)What steps should one take in Islam to become an Imam? Do they have a special school from which you must graduate before you qualify to be one or will you just be an apprentice to a more experienced imam for some years before you can be ordained. 2) Can an individual finance a mosque, open it and be the imam while scouting for faithfuls to grace his mosque? |
50 thousands Naira might sound like a lot of money but just a chicken change, anyone can get that type of money in just a day in Naija.50k is a lot of money both in Nigeria and USA just to go and watch a washed up artiste. It's almost $500 which can pay a month's house rent in most cities in America. I, for sure do not see it as a chicken change. |
