There is more then enough menMethinks the trigger factor here is scarcity of women. Demand and supply law should be the answer to this mayhem. |
I've told you, there's a reason this one made the papersShow me a link, even in the tabloids. LIAR!!!!! |
my response was to the guy that said, ladies fight over men in lagos on a daily basis.Another ridiculous claim from a ludicrous He goat. |
You have just reaffirmed your Arrow status by saying women are 42% of the population in Nigeria. He's deviating again. Can't you stay one place? Stop running around like testicles abeg. Bottom line: Make una see my headoooooooo, Stop killing women in Nigeria abeg. Question: If women are surplus in Nigeria , why are men killing each other over them? |
Men will do anything over a womenThe rate is high now among Nigerian men and it's almost an epidemic. I think the terror level should be elevated to orange and the govt should take necessary steps to protect women. Haba, na waaa for themooo. And He goats like Hannibal and Eldee will be telling the world that Nigerian men have abundant women. What kind of image are they trying to protect at the expense of their sisters? Even the last census confirmed it that men are 58% while women are 42% in Nigeria. Go figure why they are killing each other to smell our farts. |
Mugu . . . you don't know it's strangeHere comes the hammer. can you prove that women use juju on men? Of course it's an urban legend but I can prove these murders and we are talking murder here. Why not start an organization that will provide free shrink for our men so that even though many of them are LONELY, they can exhale through adequate communication and fellowship. The non profit organization can provide the services of free strippers too on tuesdays and sundays. |
We are trying to put the population of men and women in equilibrium. He's deviating from the subject matter. Are you guys so desperate for us that you resort to murder? Wetin I never seeooo, Abeg, women, make una born more girls so that every man can have one for himself before they finish killing each other over us. |
Seriously, u didn't have to post this here.In Nigeria or the West? We are talking about Nigeria here. You guys are killing us one by one. WTF ![]() |
what a mess.Yesooo, Nigerian women are endangered because things like this is now an everyday occurence in Naija. Love flavored with violence. |
You resort to aggression anytime I catch you with facts. ![]() |
Dutch coach Johannes Bonfrere re-joins Dream Team Written by Onochie Anibeze, reporting from Beiljing, China Wednesday, August 13, 2008 Dutch coach Johannes Bonfrere, the man who led the Nigeria U_23 team to win Africa’s first Olympic football gold in the USA 12 years ago, is here in China to feel the games and offer wise counsel to the Dream Team. https://odili.net/news/source/2008/aug/13/vanguard/images/2.jpg Bonfrere The man who also led the Super Eagles to African Cup of Nations silver in 2000, but was dumped after a calamitous start to the 2002 World Cup qualifiers, has been sighted severally in China, first at the Sheraton Tianjin Hotel where Nigeria stayed to play his native Netherlands and Japan, and in Beijing, where they play USA today. He has been seen talking to Head Coach Samson Siasia.Siasia missed the cut for the over_age quota in Nigeria’s 1996 winners but also played at the Olympics previously, when Nigeria lost out in Seoul in 1988. Siasia’s assistant, Henry Nwosu, who like Siasia captained the Nigeria senior team, played twice at the Olympics, scoring Nigeria’s goal in the 1_1 draw with eventual winners Czechoslovakia in the USSR in 1980 and joining up for the Seoul 88 event. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/aug/13/312.html |

Wednesday, August 13, 2008 Man stabs another to death over female admirer By Kunle Adeyemi Officers at the state Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, are still trying to unravel why a man should kill another man because of a female friend. They have, therefore, made attempts to arrest the culprit for questioning, investigation and probable prosecution. The incident, which happened on Saturday at Osborne Phase 11, Lagos, is still being discussed among residents of the area. The suspect, Amogudu Azeez of Oshodi Tapa Street, Epe, was believed to be a lover of a girl at Osborne. The girl’s name was not disclosed. Our correspondent learnt that Azeez later discovered that another young man, Asimiyu Olalekan, was also dating the same girl. At about 11pm on Saturday, both men were said to have met each other at the residence of the girl. An argument ensued between the lovers and as each of them could not control his temper, the argument led to a fight. During the fight, Azeez was alleged to have used a broken bottle to stab Olalekan. The latter fell and began to bleed uncontrollably. It was gathered that sympathisers rushed the victim to a hospital in the area but he died moments after he was admitted for treatment. The case was first reported to the police at Onikan, from where some policemen were sent to the scene of the incident. The policemen also visited the hospital where they saw the corpse of Olalekan, which was later removed and deposited at a mortuary. It was learnt that the suspect was later arrested alongside the girl in contention. The case has been transferred to the SCID for investigation. In another development, detectives at the SCID are investigating the veracity of a claim that a young man, Paul Ajisafe, hanged himself in his bathroom. Although there were no clues yet to suggest that the dastardly act must have been perpetrated by some criminals, the police are still considering other angles to the death. The deceased was a resident of Block 1, Flat 14, First Avenue, 111 Road, Festac Town in Lagos. One of his friends was said to have discovered his dangling lifeless body in the bathroom at about 8.30pm on Sunday. Bewildered neighbours were said to have immediately gathered in the deceased’s apartment to catch a glimpse of the body. The police were eventually invited before the corpse was removed and taken to a hospital for autopsy. Spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, Mr. Frank Mba, confirmed both incidents to our correspondent on Tuesday. Mba said the policemen who visited the deceased’s house did not discover any suicide note. He added that the case was being investigated by the SCID. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/aug/13/405.html |
One thing is passing a bill and another is holding the landlord ransom for keeping it. No be Naija? |
Enugu Assembly passes landlord, tenant bill Wednesday, August 13, 2008 Enugu—Enugu State House of Assembly has passed the Landlord and Tenant Amendment Bill into law. The Speaker, Mr. Eugene Odo, said on the occassion that the amended bill evolved in line with the present economic realities in Nigeria. “The law will help to reduce the controversy between the landlord and the tenant in areas such as rent review, rent payment and forceful ejection,’’ he said. Odo said that with the passage of the law, it would be an offence for a landlord to increase rents without two years’ notice given to the tenant. He said also that no rent increment would exceed 15 per cent of the existing rent as against the 25 per cent increase contained in the former law. The law took effect from today, (yesterday) the Speaker said. The deputy majority leader, Mr. Michael Onyeze, said that the passage of the bill would curtail the excesses of ‘Shylock’ landlords. Earlier, while presenting the report on the bill, the Chairman of the Committee on Land, Housing and Judiciary, Mr. Abel Chukwu, said that the report contained the views of stakeholders who attended the public hearing as well as from memoranda received. Chukwu said that the law was not meant to witch-hunt anybody, but to create a harmonious relationship between landlords and tenants in the state. “The law spells out power limits of landlords and tenants and grant them the right to seek redress at the Rent Tribunal.” http://odili.net/news/source/2008/aug/13/305.html |
how many of us will eat a meal without meat or fish or orishirishi? the northernal could eat plain soup.I knew it although i never knew they can eat plain soup. Oporoko, eja, etc must full pot before we go chop now, That's why hausas are rarely fat. |
No we(Muslims) don't speak like one possessed by the devil. ![]() |
classes u undertake to be able to receive d holy communionNo; confirmation is literally a holy ghost baptism. The orthodox churches typically do it after receiving the holy communion. |
This is Grafikdons thingy nowwWho's Grafikdon? |
I know; They'll die one by one before the trial. |
One would think that the Nigerian in question is a proper Nigerian and not an American Nigerian. What is the difference between a proper Nigerian and an American Nigerian? So,if I become a VC here tomorrow, you'll say am not a proper Nigerian? What makes you think the school should come to Nigeria to pick a VC instead of looking around their area? You really think this job is rocket science? |
Do we have anything like free speech in our constitution? |
Why is it that Hausa people are rarely fat? Could it be because of their food? I'm suspecting their food may have less calories than yoruba and ibo foods. |
I like tuwo shinkafa, with ewedu and gbegiri, CoolWhat's up with the fingers? |
Maybe they were not baptising but rather making an offering to Olokun. Who knows?Christians shouldn't be scared of those little gods because every knee bows at the sound of Jesus' name. |
thanks Deepzone for given him the needed and deserved reply. with the way the US economy is right now and how difficult it is to find a job, then you should know Dr. Victor has really done a good job to be given this dignified job, a Nigerian for that matter . kudos to him, this are the kind of people i look up to as motivators. You're welcome. It's obvious that so many juveniles enter Nairaland whenever their parents go to bed. |
HOWEVERWhat do you mean? It's just a fiction besides, lots of Nigerians go through deportation wahala around the world. Why sugar coat it? I don't know when we Nigerians will cultivate the habit of encouraging people that try to do something positive without looking for a way to bad mouth it. Your suggestions are tired stories but that doesn't mean you can't make a good movie out of it. If you feel the story is lame, why not develop the ones you suggested? |
The movie is very very impressive. I know the Nigerian movie industry will someday rise on top. |
REMINDER: ANY MAN WHO DOESN'T CHEAT PLEASE SPEAK UPYour doggie brothers have gone into hiding. |
Definitely not for kids. But they tried. The storyline's kind of scanty. They spend so much time in a scene. There's still room for improvement. Not bad.Yea, I think they should soften the storyline in order to make it appropriate for kids. Again, kids in America play "Grand Theft Auto" which is more violent to me than this one. Also, most parents watch Nollywood movies with their kids even when the movies are rated PG18. |
It took me over two minutes to realize the last two posts above me were from 2 different people. Lol, the names look alike. |
WTF. I was hoping that they had actually given a real nigerian, born, bred and living in nigeria the job. Seems i was hoping too much. oh well, seems we have to live and work in their country in order to make it.Something is seriously wrong with your head. How can they appoint a Nigerian living and working in his village to become a VC/president in an American university? Because you think they don't have qualified personells for the job? Do you even think they'll go to another city here in the US to contract someone who hasn't been involved with the university for years? This place is not Nigeria where anybody can be president over night. |
