Christianity EtcRe: Do You Carry Amulets? by DeepZone(op): 6:30am On Aug 09, 2008
Correction it is not a Christian section, it is a eligion section. The only religion that has it's own section is Islam. The rest of us share. Or maybe you haven't seen other postings that have nothing to do with Chrisitanity.

The posters did not say that they are Christians. Not only Christians post in the religion section, clearly you are posting, don't forget that the atheist are posting here too and starting topics.

So once again did the posters have a banner that said that they were Christians? No they did not. STOP JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS.
Don't mind them. Their troublesome behind has been deported to a sharia section, yet they intrude here to see how christians and others are progressing. I thought they are happy and contented with their faith? Why all these poke nosing in the affairs of christians and christianity? curiosity will lead them to Christ one day and that is my prayer.

No amount of 'men are stupid' and 'they think with their joysticks' will change that. The women stupid enough or evil enough to cheat with the men are just as bad. I would think it was a better bet to deal with your fellow women (who are like you and think the same way) than try to fix it from the man's side (who you do not understand as well)
You are preaching to the choir, Men are d.i.c.k. heads. Imagine John Edwards cheating on a dying wife? How ruthless and cold can he be? The worst of it all is that he couldn't use a common condom. Swines!!!!

All i need to tell anyone that cares to listen is ma 1st wife cannot bring forth a male child. Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue
Trust me, the whole world would take pity on me and let me find a male generating mistres
Pray tell!!! that tradition will soon go into extinction in Nigeria. Even the agrarian north will soon discover that polygamy plays a huge part in their backwardness in life. It's not as if they were cursed with poverty, it's that demon called polygamy that is rearing it's ugly head in their predicament.

, ; and in the context of that, what is the gender ratio?

If there are more women of child bearing age than there are men, and even if the men choose to remain monogamous, the ambitious women will force them into adulterous and compromising situations where her immediate interest may likely not be directed at his matrimony but nonetheless to have him father a child for her that she could then raise independently on her own. To you, this is an educated woman utilizing the advantages of her liberties and independence as an accomplished woman to forge forward within the mainstream society. The problem is your objective with the topic is already defeated on two principles _ 1. cheating; 2. adultery. So how do Southerners win in such an arrangement?
Did i hear you say force? So you men are still using the same lame excuse Adam gave God for disobeying Him?

Are you saying that because of these problems above, we should continue with our serial cheating method and hope for the best? Gender ratio? I've challenged Hannibal before to prove to me beyond reasonable doubt that there are more women in Nigeria than men.

Trust me, there are many of them out there. The likes of Hannibal, Eldee and Sly are going into extinction anyway. They are pagans masking as christians because there is nothing about them that is Christlike.

TV shows will not help all that much.

Foreign AffairsSenator Edwards Finally Admits To Extramarital Affairs. by DeepZone(op): 9:12pm On Aug 08, 2008
(CNN) -- Former U.S. senator and Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards admitted to an extramarital affair in an interview with ABC News, the network reported Friday. He denied being the father of the woman's child, as had been alleged in tabloid reports.

Former Sen. John Edwards ended his presidential bid on January 30.

Speaking to the network for a story to be aired Friday night, Edwards acknowledged the affair with 42-year-old Rielle Hunter, which began after she was hired to make documentary videos for his campaign, ABC said.

He said he has not taken a paternity test, but that the timing of the affair rules out the possibility that he could be her baby girl's father.

Edwards, of North Carolina, had repeatedly called reports of the affair "lies" but refused to discuss them further.

The former North Carolina senator announced in January that he was dropping out of the 2008 Democratic presidential race.

"It is time for me to step aside so that history can blaze its path," he said in New Orleans, Louisiana.

With his wife, Elizabeth, and children at his side, Edwards said he couldn't predict "who will take the final steps to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue," but he said it would be a Democrat.

He trailed Sen. Hillary Clinton and Obama in the early contests. He came in third in key races in New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Edwards had campaigned on the message that he was standing up for the little guy, the people who are not traditionally given a voice in Washington, and that he would do more to fight special interests.

After dropping out of the race, Edwards asked Clinton and Obama to make poverty a central issue in the general election and a future Democratic administration, something both agreed to do.

Edwards is a South Carolina native with an undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and law degree from the University of North Carolina.

Before entering politics, winning a Senate seat from North Carolina in 1998, Edwards was a lawyer representing families "being victimized by powerful interests" and gaining "a national reputation as a forceful and tireless champion for regular, hard-working people," according to his

CNN political producer Ed Hornick contributed to this report.

Deep,

Theoretically, your idea is not bad, what is ugly is implementing it in Naija! You made reference to fighting crime. Let me tell you this, any society where 6 out of every 10 persons is a criminal is never ever going to succeed in any attempt to control crime. Where is the result of war on drug? How about war on guns? War on violence? The problem is the policy, not the society. For behavioral control in the society, it is stupid to commercialize your policy. This is exactly what you are proposing with the idea of cheaters TV. As you have seen from respondents already you will create a dramatic scene wit far fetched outcomes, your "war on cheaters" will be a mess, ; and oh guess who will be coming in the footsteps of that, ; Jerrry Springer!
Deepzone, you aretrying so much to turn Nigeria into America or UK, arent you?
Not really, If I was doing that, i should also advocate for the ills dominant in this society besides, I believe that more crimes are commited in America per sq m than Nigeria. Much as i agree that so many problems will come out from the TV show, i still believe that Nigeria is among the fastest society that evolves with little time and monogamy seems to be outsourcing polygamy today. With that notion, it means that in 10 years time, southern Nigeria will more or less reinstate the efficacy of monogamous relations. Check this out, younger Nigerian couples are not having the usual 6-7-8 kids our parents had, why? They are having 2-3 nowadays, why is that? Ibos and other south southerners in the 21st century are predominantly monogamous prolly because of religion or what not and the Yorubas are taking queue and with time, polygamy will be old fashioned. You have seen recent cases of women challenging their husbands at the divorce court in todays Nigeria, what happened to the old culture of the man telling the woman to pack her belongings and leave? I think it boils down to economic strength, the more women get educated and garner economic strength, the more they can stand before their husband and demand for respect without the fear of being thrown out.
