Stop being unreasonable. Jonathan was sworn in power May 10th 2010. Did he, less than a month into his tenure, receive the kind of unwarranted bashing you and your likes are giving PMB?

I can correctly remember GEJ enjoyed unprecedented support from virtually every section of the country for well over a year. Many people viewed the unique circumstances of his rise to power as divinely ordained and so were willing give him all the support. It was many years later when he began to show signs of being ill-fitted for the job that the groundswell of opposition against him began to rise.

PMB just got into power. Give him a chance. If by this time next year or even six months later, there is still no visible impact, then I wont personally mind leading the attack against him.

But for now, pls stop the bad belleism, its not healthy.
What 'bad belle'??

I only asked a simple question, and you answered it well only to ruin it with your last paragraph.

l don't know why anybody that does not sound patronizing to PMB or APC issues is labelled a hater, 'bad belle' or PDP supporter.

I bat for neither the PDP nor the APC. I am only about good governance.

l asked you that question knowing that PMB's supporters started this unfortunate slugfest. Jonathan's supporters are only returning the favour.

I have never insulted any politician on here.Go through my posts.

When u hav bills to pay, people to feed, and busy with work or biz, u won't av time to sit down in a corner of ur house and start trolling nonsense.
Guess PMB's supporters who were /are mocking Jonathan were/are all idle and jobless...by your own deduction.

you might be good with words and I respect you for that. People respect other people because they deserve it. I also respect you on this forum because you deserve it and that's the fact.. If one should go by your "we shouldn't respect people because they deserve it" comment, then you are also saying our parents don't deserve our respect because they don't actually deserve it.

Look am not saying buhari is all perfect and what not, but we should give the man some time before we start throwing all the insults at him. He has not even spend 1month in office and you guys are already on his neck.

Btw you can't tell me you haven't seen buhari's achievement in his past 13days in office

PMB's supporters started it all.
They spared no word ( no matter how vile) in their ridicule of GEJ.
Now GEJ's supporters are only returning the favour. And you can bet it will be much worse than this.
It's unfortunate.

That is why the bible enjoins us not to judge because when you do, the same measure you used against another person will be used against you.

Most of us know them as being a useful source of providing crisps, soft drinks and chocolate.

But vending machines can actually take on a very different purpose depending on where it is in the world.

Did you know that a machine in China dispenses live crabs, in an edible container and with vinegar and ginger tea?

Or that it was possible to receive a freshly baked 9-inch pizza in just three minutes?

In fact one machine in China gives you the keys to rent a car - for £2 an hour

This handy infographic shows 28 bizarre vending machines from around the world.

luvmijeje:
Personally, if I'm one of the leader of APC, I will firstly find out whether there's is any loopholes legally in what happened yesterday. Obviously, going by the response of Mr President there isn't. Also, Saraki and those who supported him must never be invited for any party's meeting. They are moles planted in the ruling party. It must not be formally announce. I'm also expecting APC to have started planting and poaching on PDP. Most PDP's members are also unprincipled and greedy. The party must get get ready to use that against them. I've given you clues on how this will end but if you still don't understand, then you'll have to watch out.
l have considered all the points you mentioned and more; that is why I concluded that the best way forward is to find a common ground and move on.
Anything they do to Saraki will likely backfire and play into the hands of the PDP.

They can't impeach him because the APC alone does not have the 2/3 majority needed for that.
So as long as he enjoys the PDP support he is untouchable.
Though like you rightly said some PDP moles can be exploited to achieve that aim.

But even that is difficult because this was an unprecedented opportunity for PDP to stake a claim in this dispensation...it will be hard to see them scuttle this golden opportunity.

If they push him too hard, he will likely defect to PDP, together with his grassroots supporters...taking a chunk of theAPC support base with him...and that would mean majority of the North Central, given his political heavyweight.
Also if he defects, the APC automatically loses the senate presidency and control to the PDP!

If that happens then it's gonna be very difficult for PMB and the party.
Never in the history of Nigerian democracy has an incumbent president being in opposing party to the senate leadership.

Of course they can't expel him, for the reasons above.
Suspension is useless as well.Nothing will it achieve.
Anyway, let's see how they clean the mess

luvmijeje:
I beg to disagree, if APC don't drag this issue then any one can decide to go against the party knowing nothing will come out of it.

Right now APC as a majority don't have a say in the upper chamber . And you expect them not to do anything knowing any failure hence forth is APC's failure.
So what are they gonna do about it??
Pray tell.
PoliticsRe: There Were No Elections For The Senate Leadership - Senator Akume by Defcon1(m): 8:23pm On Jun 09, 2015
luvmijeje:
This is the more reason this issue must not be overlook. If Saraki goes away with it, the party will have set the wrong precedent. APC must not take this rubbish lying down.
Well, at this stage l don't think there is anything they can do about all this. It's too late.
They had all the time in the world to settle their differences and avoid this.

The way forward now is to accept things the way they are, and then try to mend all the other rifts within the party, to avoid similar or even worse scenarios in future.

Dragging on with this will only create more divisions and infighting, and the only people that will benefit from the disunity is PDP.

It seems these days people are more concerned about the method of proposal rather than what they are actually about to get into.
In my opinion, all this is totally unnecessary.

If a woman loves you and wants to spend the rest of her life with you, you don't need a parade to propose. All you just need to say is " Please Will You Marry Me" simple. And she would say yes.

Same way, If deep down she doesn't love you, and she doesn't want to spend the rest of her life with you, even if you hire the worlds greatest performers to be present as you propose, she will still say No.
l agree with you.

Besides, public proposals don't give a woman room to think about it, if her mind is not made up already.

Even if she is not interested she would be forced to say 'yes' just to save face, and spare Romeo a cataclysmic embarrassment.

To each his own, anyways.

How does that affect the regular Joes on the streetshuh
That is what matters!
Obj and GEJ were there for 8 and 6 years respectively, yet the average Yoruba and Ijaw man were in no way better of than people of the other tribes during their tenures...in fact their respective kinsmen don't even speak glowingly of them.

David Mark was senate president for years, but how did the Idomas fair in his time?

The Igbos had 3 different senate presidents in one dispensation.
How did that turn out for the average Igbo man.

Do I need to ask about difference the decades- long Hausa /Fulani oligarchy has made to the average Hausa / Fulani man in the north.

If Only people here would see that the emergence of Bukola Saraki as Senate President is a victory for President Buhari. When a party chairman comes out to say Buhari is not the party leader and that he is a mere product of the party, then this is the result. Tinubu needs to be tamed. I'm glad politics in Nigeria is now going to be very Interesting.

Meanwhile, I want to know if Senator Bukola Saraki has accepted the condition of given to him by PDP to defect back to the party after supporting him.

Foreign AffairsRe: Meet The 'Big Ivan': The Biggest Bomb In The History Of The World(Photos) by Defcon1(op):
Officially designated as AN602 hydrogen bomb, theTsar Bombaused the common three-stage Teller-Ulam design wherein the primary fission reaction is used to compress a secondary mixed fission/fusion fuel layer, which in turn compresses a large, tertiary thermonuclear payload—essentially stringing a pair of hydrogen fission reactions together in order to generate enough energy to instigate fusion in a uranium payload. Since the project was so rushed, only one such weapon was ever built and even then just barely. At 27 tons, it weighed nearly as much as the Tu-95that carried it and was so big that crews had to cut off the plane's bomb-bay doors in order to fit it in. Even so, at 11:32 am on October 30, 1961, theTsar Bombaexited Andrei Durnovtsev's plane at a height of 6.5 miles and slowly parachuted towards Mityushikha Bay test range in Novaya Zemlya (giving the drop plane just 188 seconds to escape). At 2.5 miles high,Big Ivanwent boom.

1.Gay, right, had the fillers to her face, neck and décolletage.

2.James, left, had fillers under the eyes and in his chin to define his jawline.

3.Julie, right, who DIDN'T have the treatment, says: 'Now I can't wait to have mine!'
So Amie GOT the treatment.

4.Sandra, right, had the treatment and says: 'People tell me how well I look.'
FamilyCan You Guess The Twin of Each Set That Has Had Anti-Wrinkle Treatment?(Photos) by Defcon1(op):
So anti-wrinkle treatment company Galderma recruited some sets of identical twins

One twin was given filler Restylane which reduces wrinkles and gives firmness

The other had no treatment - making each pair a real life "before and after"

Company claims the results are proof that the fillers subtly rejuvenate skin

Now can you really see the difference, and whether the treatment is worth it, by guessing the twin in each pair that got the treatment?

My Result: 2/4

My verdict: Not much difference (based on the pictures), and so, not worth it

Check the results in the 2nd post below.

1.Spot the difference: Twins Gay (LEFT) and Zoe Spink, 63, are both ex-models and beauty queens

2. York-based 37-year-olds James (LEFT) and Tom Martin are virtually identical in every way - but only one has had plastic surgery

3.: Dance teachers and keep-fit fans Amie(LEFT) and Julie Curtis, both 33, look similar, but only one had had filler injections

4. Kent sisters Diana (LEFT) and Sandra Horner, 46, look virtually identical

Foreign AffairsMeet The 'Big Ivan': The Biggest Bomb In The History Of The World(Photos) by Defcon1(op):
PREAMBLE

Big Ivan, better known as Tsar Bomba, was 57 Megatons of Soviet might.
That's 1,400 times Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined and 10 times the entire combined fire power expended in WWII.
In one bomb. One explosion. And, incredibly, that's only half of what it could have done.

In July 1961, Nikita Khrushchev, First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (and leader of the USSR) decided that he had had enough of the unspoken nuclear testing moratorium that his country, the US, and the UK had been abiding by since 1958.

The 22nd Congress of the Communist Party would convene that October, providing the perfect venue to show off the USSR's military muscle. With the world's eyes on Moscow, what better way to show the West who was boss than with a "testing spectacular" setting off the largest man-made explosion of all time?

Problem was, they didn't have a bomb nearly big enough for Khrushchev.
Up to that point, the largest hydrogen bomb the Soviets had detonated was the puny 3 MT RDS-37 (albeit the first true hydrogen bomb they built) but Khrushchev demanded something much, much bigger—enough to make America's 15 MT Castle Bravo testin 1954 wilt. And he wanted it built in time for the Congress.

And since telling Nikita Khrushchev "no" simply didn't happen, a four man development team—Victor Adamskii, Yuri Babaev, Yuri Smirnov, and Yuri Trutnev—designed and simultaneously built the 24-foot long, three-stage thermonuclear device in just 15 weeks.
