Romance › Inside The World Of A UK 'Sugar Baby' by Defcon1(op): 8:28pm On Jun 17, 2015*. Modified: 9:55pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
Freya is 22 and she expresses herself unaffectedly and confidently. She decided to start sleeping with older men for money while she was at university. "I love sex," says Freya. "And you know, I'm pretty good at it. So getting a sugar daddy - or two - was a no-brainer really." Freya is one of a growing number of debt-ridden university students in the UK who have decided to become "sugar babies". These young women agree to be wined and dined by rich, older men who are known as "sugar daddies", in return for cash and gifts. " My married sugar daddy gave me about £1,000 a night," says Freya reflectively. "He was just in it for the sex. My divorced sugar daddy gave me between £1,000 and £2,000 as an allowance." I mean, yes, it's prostitution really but I think there's such a ridiculous stigma attached to that word Freya had worked hard to make ends meet at university. "I was working two jobs in my first year," she explains "It was awful - £5 an hour in bar work mainly and it was really affecting my studies. But this way, having my sugar daddies, I was able to concentrate 100% on my work and I got a First in the end. I mean, yes, it's prostitution really but I think there's such a ridiculous stigma attached to that word." Despite acknowledging she was involved in sex work, Freya maintains she exercised a degree of control. "They were really attractive guys - I chose very carefully." Freya's mother Mary agreed to be interviewed at the same time. She seems unfazed by her daughter's choice of career. "Actually I was quite proud of her," says Mary, shrugging. "I think it's a brave thing to do and I'm glad she wanted to discuss it with me. Of course my friends were all pretty aghast." Money was tight for the family, Mary says. She was divorced and had other children to put through university too. "As long as I felt that she was really happy and enjoying what she was doing, I couldn't see any problem with it and I thought it was a great solution," says Mary. "All kids are born with talents. My daughter happens to have been born with beauty and sexual allure. It's like a commodity." http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-33166550 |

The new government should act fast. Everyone agrees they need time, but this isn't like fighting corruption, improving the economy or creating jobs...this is a dire emergency! ronald4lif: I hope it's true he's flown back to Sudan safely. Omar Bashir committed war crimes against the Sudanese people and that we're aware of. But Obama, Francois Hollande and David Cameron also committed war crimes in Libya and Egypt. Benjamin Netanyahu keeps bombarding and massacring children and women in Palestine and they are all yet to face trial on war crimes. Africans are not puppets of the West and we must reject their political influence in Africa. Well, it's not like Netanyahu woke up one morning and ordered his air force and army to attack Gaza. He was only defending his people. Blame the stupid, war-mongering Hamas militants who wouldn't stop launching rockets into Israel. They have always been the aggressor and when Israel retaliates, they start shouting, posting pictures on the net, and playing victims. You know you can never beat Israel so why provoke them, knowing full well you will lose. All the accusations they have levelled against lsreal of killing Palestinians, what has it benefitted them?? The dead are gone forever, more restrictions and sanctions in Gaza...yet tomorrow some moronic militants will still go and start launching rockets into Israel. They never learn.Always spoiling for war, to the detriment of their own people. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Reason Why Our Prayer Is Not Being Answer And The Solution!!! Pleased Read by Defcon1(m): 1:47pm On Jun 14, 2015 |
menesheh: Is absolutely better to be told that there is no help in an examination than a false promise of passing it which will make you to relax and stop reading but the latter will motivate you to start reading to pass.
Religion are thriving in unsolved and unverified mysteries but science after testing and retesting prayers and claims of the Bible see no evidence to backup those even pretty much puzzle.
We are better off told the truth that this world is nothing but mere live and die than and has no purpose than those mumbo-jumbo and Forged man-made stories of prayers, afterlife, death consciousness while it had no effect on reality of things as we see it here.
"Asked, it will be giving to you", try asking anything the way the Bible inscribed it literally and witness the reality of it (i want a private jet now). Nothing happened, rather they will start giving you reasons why u didn't get what you asked, the would have been fulfillment if ever is still would have been fulfilment without prayers.
We don't change natural events and coincidents that befalls human on earth here but science are working on how to actually do their best to cushion or prevent the those incidents that men presumed prayers can solve. All right. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Dont Be Deceived In Church Today Brethren. by Defcon1(m): 11:58am On Jun 14, 2015 |
emrain: there's nothing inspiring about prayer for goodness sake. did I say you should pray for the poor?
teach a poor man how to get rich, use them to get even more money if you can. but always give them equal(or more) cash value to what value their work is for you.
now that's inspirational.
you can also expose them to the truth that they can become rich irrespective of their current condition. use yourself as an example if you were once broke.
but if you are not rich yet, don't pity the poor, don't even think about them because it will not put money in your pocket or theirs. So if you are walking by and see a a malnourished child begging with his blind mother, and you want to help them; you will stop and start teaching them how to make money? Anyways, different strokes for different folks. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Reason Why Our Prayer Is Not Being Answer And The Solution!!! Pleased Read by Defcon1(m): 11:18am On Jun 14, 2015 |
menesheh: Will never belittle myself replying you irrationally with abuses; but you know whashu doing?
Consolation consoling yourself of the harsh conditions of man's existence here, accident, earthquake, sickness, death of loved ones etc in order to forge ahead in your miserable life here on earth.
False hope trying to forge hope in other to console yourself with prayers that never get any answers. Those claims of prayers getting answer are mere coincidents, praying for would have happened things or events.
Feeling belonged the false hope of prayers makes you think there is a great power out there that cares for your wellbeing but look back at your short fallings.
Because you are told because you are told that prayers get answered not actually that in your sincere conscious convictions that your prayers get any answers.
Be mindful of abusing others that buys not your ideas and beliefs. So how do we get by when there is nothing else humanly possible to do to change a given situation?? l am really curious. Pray tell. |

emrain: you are doing the right thing. but print good message of prosperity not fear.
giving to the poor will only increase poverty. the best way to help the poor is becoming rich and by inspiring them, not feeding or pitying them. Inspire them on empty stomach?? Would you be satisfied if you came to me very hungry and all l do is tell you to pray to God and work hard, all in the name of inspiration?? In benue state workers have not been paid since August 2014! Please tell me how you want to help these unfortunate innocent people by your inspiration...without giving them cash or food. Pray tell.
