dayokanu: This retardeen is just useless. Must he wear their uniform anywhere he goes? So if they invite him to a Bra and G-string manufacturing company, He would also try it on? I thought your head was correctly screwed on but alas dogs never move faraway from poo. Is GEJ not the Commander-in-Chief?. |

mekaboy: [b]BAD IDEA, SOME SECURITY AGENTS ARE PART OF THE ISLAMIC SECT , SECURITY HAS UNIFORMS, THE MILITANTS HAVE THE SAME UNIFORMS. THEY HAVE GUNS,MILITANTS HAVE SAME GUNS. NOW THEY HAVE BULLET PROOF, IMAGINE ARMED ROBBERS, MILITANTS AND KIDNAPERS USING BULLET PROOF. Please, tell us when will you grow up and stop watching Hollywood make believe stories?. It is sad that somebody of your stature will still believe the lies in the names of movies and other related themes. Sorry, you have just missed the Train. Manufacturing Bulletproof vests is a step towards self reliance for our Military and also for our Economy. It is really heart warming. |

Obviously you and sisi are out of sync with reality or that you guys have refused to part ways with dementia. This is because Bishop David Oyedepo spoke loud and clear, and without any form of ambiguity that these killings and insecurity must stop. If speaking on a nationally televised platform and on continuous live stream on YouTube is not a credible platform then maybe speaking on NairaLand is grandiose enough for you. You are nattering nabobs of negativity. |

I was mature and able bodied when Buhari was ruling this country as the Mililtary Head of State, and I can state unequivocally that his regime was pure balderdash. The kind of nonsense the late Yar'Adua wanted to plunge us into. He was taking reactionary steps like changing the currency in one fell swoop, jailing both guilty and innocent people in the name of former politicians, making retroactive decrees, forcing people to state home in the name of evironmental sanitation instead of employing the illiterate unemployed, retrenching civil servants, demolishing the stalls of the petty trader in the market and arresting shop less traders on the street. His regime characterized double standard especially the case of the 53 suitcases owned by an Emir up north that was not checked at the customs on the orders of his ADC,but was suspected to have contained money, which was against the extant rules then. It is clearly evident from the foregoing that policy reversals, somersault, vindictiveness of the average Hausa-fulani and die hard military hangover mentality will characterize his regime if elected as the President |

This Professor is only doing the hatchet Job given to him by various groups whose principal interest is to rubbish Nigeria inspite of themselves. It is abundantly clear that only biased and jaundiced views make a great reading in Nigeria especially where it concerns Jonathan and his Administration. Naysayers now hold sway not because of any higher purpose but undue belligerence in view of the fact that they feel that they have lost out in the power game. Every sensible and knowledgeable Nigerian that has kept track of the governance conundrum will realize that these same set of parasites have been in the corridors of power either in appointive or elected post and are very wary of relinquishing these posts to competent people, to perform the unenviable task of nation building. I personally don't think that Jonathan has the competence to take us to el-dorado, but it is trite to say that let him perform his duties to the best of his abilities with minimal distractions |

To my own mind, no system of governance or structural Administration is good enough for Nigeria until we all sit down to actually discuss in a no holds barred fashion the concept of our pax Nigeriana. This becomes critical in that a situation whereby the same set of characters parade our political, economical and socio cultural landscape with scant regard for our collective welfare and happiness. If at the end of the talk session, we produce and fashion out, our collective dream and asipration in terms of the a well spelt out modus operandi of governance, then and only then we can forge ahead to the promise land without fear of betrayal, lack of trust and political perfidy |

It is trite to say I told you so, but the prevailing scenario doesn't demand such because the down fall of a Man is not his end. The Church of Jesus Christ is greater than any individual and as such a Pastor's Fall from his place should not elicit any form of triumphant feeling from children of Perdition as seen from previous posts on this thread. All Bishop Long needs to do is to quit digging because He is already in a Hole and seek for genuine help and repentance from God and undergo therapy and deliverance from this terrible affliction, and also seek forgiveness from the people He has grieved by his actions. To my fellow Christians, "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:12 KJV)". Let us make God, our standard, not man. I commend my brethren to this Word, Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, (Jude 1:24 KJV) Finally, anybody waiting for the downfall of God's Servants like Pst. E.A Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo et al, will be ashamed because the God who sent them will keep them from falling and He who backs them will not leave them behind in Jesus mighty name 12 Likes |

Ashiru The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru yesterday said he has no control over budgetary allocations and disbursement of funds to Nigerian Missions abroad. He also said that the Nigerian Embassy in the United States (US) was not involved in alleged suspicious movement of $3.6million. He said there was no case of money laundering at the nation’s Embassy in Washington D.C. Ashiru, who made the clarifications in a statement in Abuja , said the accounts of the Nigerian Embassy in the US were never frozen. In the statement by the Acting Director (Public Communications) and spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ogbole Amedu-Ode, the Minister expressed attempts at bringing the nation into disrepute by some people. “It needs to be stated, for information, that the Foreign Minister has no control over budgetary allocations and disbursement of funds to Missions abroad. “Once the budget has been approved by the National Assembly and signed into law by the President, the power and responsibility to directly remit funds to Missions overseas are vested in the Federal Ministry of Finance. Thereafter, Missions administer their budgets as approved by law without reference to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. “However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regularly monitors the accounts of Missions and any report of financial irregularities are promptly investigated and dealt with in line with extant regulations and procedure. . “The Mission in Washington had stated times and again that it never operated any accounts with Wells Fargo and the Bank of America. Accounts that do not exist could never have been frozen or closed. “The Vice President of the M & T Bank, Mr. Peter Senica where the Mission maintains some accounts, has stated that at no time were those accounts ever frozen for alleged money laundering activities. On the sale of several properties of the Embassy in the US, Ashiru added: “The story of alleged sale of several Embassy properties in Washington emerged in 2004. This is eight years and a succession of five Foreign Ministers long before the incumbent Foreign Minister assumed office in July, last year. http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/52110-alleged-%243.6m-laundering%3A-i’ve-no-control-over-foreign-missions’-funds%2C-says-minister.html |

What is the hullabaloo about sacking someone who couldn't deliver on his Job?. How many of you employers of Labour would keep an incompetent fellow in his or her employ, when the fellow had consistently shown he couldn't deliver after several opportunities to salvage his Job. Rio+20 Conference or not, if Azazi had kept his verbal diarrhea to himself and busied himself with preventing further attacks and capturing Shekau and his fellow murderers, this cup would have passed over him. Let him go home and repair his battered image amongst his kith and kin. Obviously, at least He now has time to continue to spew rubbish at conferences and seminars. |

Nasiru El-rufai may not be involved in the bombings but his posts and tweets leave very much to desire, despite the various opportunities this country had afforded him in the past. He has demonstrated utmost immaturity that shouldnt have defined someone who had held various leadership positions before now, however, we are waiting for him and his baboon and dog party to come and ask for our votes before we despatch them back to their well trodden path of electoral failure in 2015. Being in the opposition does not mean he should lose his decorum and tact, but their aggregate behaviour depicts intolerance of contrary opinion, which normally defines representative democracy and also leads to cross fertilization of ideas in the public space. The lack of plausible ideas from the opposition as characterized by parties like the CPC have led to unbridled hatred of anything that emanates from the dominant party regardless of what the nation stands to benefit from implementation of such policies. What flies in the face of these opposition parties are that, even after succeeding to wrest power from The PDP, they may be become so transfixed, that nationally they may not know what to do with it as clearly evident in CPC eg Nassarawa, and ACN states eg Oyo, Osun states. Lagos State has virtually succeeded because of the personality of the incumbent but not as a result of any articulated policy of the ACN. However, PDP States are not shining lights in governance either because of the deep seated ineptitude and corruption that is evident in running the states but one thing we must give to them is that they are not evidently flippant in using epithets to define their opposition thereby heating up the polity. CPC IS HEATING UP THE POLITY WITH IMMATURE AND PUERILE OUTBURST. OBVIOUSLY, THEY SHALL FAIL AGAIN IN 2015. PEOPLE WHO CANNOT MANAGE THEIR COMPORTMENT, CANNOT MANAGE OUR COUNTRY 3 Likes |

1025: Indeed, you can beat Joseph Goebbels at his game of misinformation. Is the Borno state's Governors Lodge not where Kabiru Sokoto was hiding?. Check your facts, Borno state is led by ANPP. Meanwhile, it was Kabiru Sokoto and not Abu Qaqa. BORNO STATE AND NOT FG paid 100M because it was a Judgement debt not because it caught its fancy. Will you stop misinforming gullible. |

emmasege: It's so sad most Nigerians always allow sentiment to prevail over reasoning. am a yoruba man but have never believed that abiola would have made a good president. u need not a prophet to tell you that he died for himself and himself alone. i also think he under-estimated the kano boy in power at the time and expected the western power to come to his aid somehow. For crying out aloud, he can't even be compared with the likes of abraham adesanya, Gani Fawehinmi, Beko and Fela Kuti, not to even talk of Baba awo. Why was there no resistance to UNIFE being re-named OAU, despite the fact that it belongs to the same generation as UNILAG and ABU?. I think the answer is obvious. A great man deserves to be associated with great things. How I hate I?di?ots!. Your comment denote how grossly your education was undermined by strikes and students' unrest. Who told you that students did not protest when unife was renamed OAU?. My friend go get a history teacher |

levos2007: All this revisionist attempt at history!. I am sure that many of you were either in the womb or may be in your cradle, when this great on of Africa was parading this continent like a collosus that he was, MKO was MKO of Africa not just of Nigeria. The under listed were some of his achievements 1. Turning ITT into a major Telecommunication outfit in Nigeria in the mode of MTN, ZAIN, ETISALAT 2. Providing world class Newspaper medium in Nigeria eg National Concord, Weekend Concord that made super journalist like Dele Momodu, Dimgba Igwe, Mike Awoyinfa 3. Providing Employment for Thousands of Nigeria 4. Fought for Repatriation of Africa's stolen wealth 5. Provided Scholarship for indigent students 6. Philanthropist par excellence 7. Had the conviction that Nigeria can bid farewell to poverty through Hope '93 campaign 8. Fought the Military Junta of Sani Abacha head on through the Epetedo Declaration 9. A True Democract with impassioned commitment to fair play and Justice 10. A Lover of Entertainment which was evident in grooming and providing platform for Nigerian Musicians like FELA to display their talent to the world Let all naysayers and hare-brain youths go back and learn their history. chosen04: Its Obvious that BABA SUWE ingested the hard drugs.. . . . .The way the court expressly heard the matter and awarded damages within few days still makes it obvious that something was fishy . .. . . . You represent everything that has made this nation backward in the comity of nations. Can you imagine this slowpoke accusing someone without evidence?. It is obvious that you and the NDLEA man are working in tandem to bring our courts into disrepute because bringing a man to court based on machine reporting without evidence is pure abuse of court processes |

sir rinky: In my opinion i do not think this matter should just be swept under the carpet if really the CAN president called The PDP chieftain the leader of Boko Haram then He should be asked to come and give proof of his statement otherwise i think the PDP will in essence be showing to the the Nation that they really have something to hide.If this accusation is false the Clergy man should be made to face the full wrath of the Law.But if indeed there are elements of truth in his statements then the PDP should be put under surveillance and investigated. If the PDP decides not to press charges against the clergy man i do not think this matter should be allowed to die there, instead he should be invited by the SSS and the Police and thoroughly interrogated by any means possible until he provides proof to back up his claims. Obviously, your Foolishness carries the Cake. Your imbecilic post has exposed the quality of your education, which either way is pure BS. Do you even read whatever you comment on?. |
