Thats what you get when a m0r0n is president.

Can he wear the bullet proof and let dem test gunshots on him

I thought your head was correctly screwed on but alas dogs never move faraway from poo. Is GEJ not the Commander-in-Chief?.

mekaboy: BAD IDEA, SOME SECURITY AGENTS ARE PART OF THE ISLAMIC SECT , SECURITY HAS UNIFORMS, THE MILITANTS HAVE THE SAME UNIFORMS. THEY HAVE GUNS,MILITANTS HAVE SAME GUNS. NOW THEY HAVE BULLET PROOF, IMAGINE ARMED ROBBERS, MILITANTS AND KIDNAPERS USING BULLET PROOF.

WHY NOT SPEND THAT MONEY TO TRAIN A NEW SET OF UNDERCOVER SECURITY AGENTS, WHO WILL BE PLANTED IN EVERY PART OF NIGERIA( SCHOOL, MARKETS, BARS, CLUBS ETC) TO PROVIDE INTEL ON ALL CRIME ACTIVITIES AROUND NIGERIA.

I MEAN IMAGINE SECURITY AGENTS RUNNING A BAR, WHERE ARMED ROBBERS, KIDNAPPERS, AND DRUG DEALERS COME TO MEET AND DISCUSS THEIR OPERATION. WITHOUT KNOW THE WHOLE PLACE IS BUGGED AND THEIR CONVERSATION IS RECORDED? OR SECURITY AGENTS GAINING ADMISSION INTO THE UNIVERSITIES AND JOINING THE CULT, PROVIDING THE NAMES OF ALL BAD GUYS TO THE POLICE?

THESE ARE THE TYPE OF THINGS NIGERIA NEEDS. ASSUMING WE HAD ONE SINGLE SECURITY AGENT WHO SUCCEEDED TO JOIN BOKO HARAM JUST TO GET INTEL, BY NOW WE WOULD HAVE INFO ON THE SOURCE OF THEIR FUNDING AND THE SUPPLIER OF EXPLOSIVES AND WIPE THEM OUT FROM THE ROOT.

ALL WE NEED IS INTELLIGENCE AND NOT BULLET PROOF.

Please, tell us when will you grow up and stop watching Hollywood make believe stories?. It is sad that somebody of your stature will still believe the lies in the names of movies and other related themes. Sorry, you have just missed the Train. Manufacturing Bulletproof vests is a step towards self reliance for our Military and also for our Economy. It is really heart warming.

coninse: My fellow Nigerians, this message is to wake us up from our slumber.

A sad and unfortunate case in humanity: an island (Taiwan) produces more than an entire continent (Africa).

In 1965, Nigeria is richer than Taiwan. Taiwan is very poor and has no resources. They were given the same aid funds US gave Nigeria. We are blessed with resources which they don't have. But look at Taiwan today, they are richer than us. Despite its rich resources, the 54 nations in Africa have not yet manage to advance industrially. Africa produces only just 1% of the world’s industrial output. This is ironically, even less than the island of Taiwan, which account for 1.1% of global industrial output.

Thanks to our past leaders for making life unbearable for us with their selfish desires. It is time Nigeria !!!

All of them looted and mismanaged our funds, yet we keep silent hoping God will judge them. If we keep thinking this way, then we are fools and weak. They are oppressing the poor with the looted funds and yet we keep praising them. They are enjoying all looted funds while the masses are in pain. They are ungodly and we should show them no mercy.

We need to start eliminating them. We must not spare them if we want our future leaders to respect us. We must not forgive them!!! It is unacceptable!!!

Please show them no mercy. We need to start acting now to let them know we are not slaves but son of the land. Let us start creating a strategic plan to kill all past living leaders. Their dead is better than their living. I know we Nigerians are also corrupt but this started from the Nigeria leaders by making her citizens to suffer and pushing us towards untold hardship. I can directly do the sponsoring and come to make this work, all I need is support from my people.

I cannot forgive those leaders for making life miserable for us compare to other countries. I am ready to lay down my life to save the future of my country and our unborn generations.

If we want Nigeria to work, we need to start passing judgment on them and keep fighting for true justice, Nigeria and Nigerians will change. If everyone knows that justice is working in Nigeria, corruption and crime will reduce.

What are you opinions my fellow country people?

I suggest Seun should put Age restriction on this site. Oya, run along, go watch Barney and friends

Obviously you and sisi are out of sync with reality or that you guys have refused to part ways with dementia. This is because Bishop David Oyedepo spoke loud and clear, and without any form of ambiguity that these killings and insecurity must stop. If speaking on a nationally televised platform and on continuous live stream on YouTube is not a credible platform then maybe speaking on NairaLand is grandiose enough for you.

Politics / Re: General Buhari : A Hero Or Villain by Degis(m): 5:01pm On Jun 30, 2012
I was mature and able bodied when Buhari was ruling this country as the Mililtary Head of State, and I can state unequivocally that his regime was pure balderdash. The kind of nonsense the late Yar'Adua wanted to plunge us into. He was taking reactionary steps like changing the currency in one fell swoop, jailing both guilty and innocent people in the name of former politicians, making retroactive decrees, forcing people to state home in the name of evironmental sanitation instead of employing the illiterate unemployed, retrenching civil servants, demolishing the stalls of the petty trader in the market and arresting shop less traders on the street.

His regime characterized double standard especially the case of the 53 suitcases owned by an Emir up north that was not checked at the customs on the orders of his ADC,but was suspected to have contained money, which was against the extant rules then. It is clearly evident from the foregoing that policy reversals, somersault, vindictiveness of the average Hausa-fulani and die hard military hangover mentality will characterize his regime if elected as the President
Politics / Re: Forbes Magazine Exposes Prof Ayittey's Hypocrisy After Mocking Jonathan by Degis(m): 2:11pm On Jun 30, 2012
This Professor is only doing the hatchet Job given to him by various groups whose principal interest is to rubbish Nigeria inspite of themselves. It is abundantly clear that only biased and jaundiced views make a great reading in Nigeria especially where it concerns Jonathan and his Administration. Naysayers now hold sway not because of any higher purpose but undue belligerence in view of the fact that they feel that they have lost out in the power game.

Every sensible and knowledgeable Nigerian that has kept track of the governance conundrum will realize that these same set of parasites have been in the corridors of power either in appointive or elected post and are very wary of relinquishing these posts to competent people, to perform the unenviable task of nation building.

I personally don't think that Jonathan has the competence to take us to el-dorado, but it is trite to say that let him perform his duties to the best of his abilities with minimal distractions
Politics / Re: Anyaoku Advocates Return To Regionalism by Degis(m): 8:58pm On Jun 29, 2012
To my own mind, no system of governance or structural Administration is good enough for Nigeria until we all sit down to actually discuss in a no holds barred fashion the concept of our pax Nigeriana. This becomes critical in that a situation whereby the same set of characters parade our political, economical and socio cultural landscape with scant regard for our collective welfare and happiness. If at the end of the talk session, we produce and fashion out, our collective dream and asipration in terms of the a well spelt out modus operandi of governance, then and only then we can forge ahead to the promise land without fear of betrayal, lack of trust and political perfidy
Religion / Re: Disgraced Bishop, Eddie Long Finally Quit New Birth Church!!! by Degis(m): 7:31pm On Jun 29, 2012
It is trite to say I told you so, but the prevailing scenario doesn't demand such because the down fall of a Man is not his end. The Church of Jesus Christ is greater than any individual and as such a Pastor's Fall from his place should not elicit any form of triumphant feeling from children of Perdition as seen from previous posts on this thread.

All Bishop Long needs to do is to quit digging because He is already in a Hole and seek for genuine help and repentance from God and undergo therapy and deliverance from this terrible affliction, and also seek forgiveness from the people He has grieved by his actions.

To my fellow Christians, "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:12 KJV)".

Let us make God, our standard, not man.

I commend my brethren to this Word, Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, (Jude 1:24 KJV)

Finally, anybody waiting for the downfall of God's Servants like Pst. E.A Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo et al, will be ashamed because the God who sent them will keep them from falling and He who backs them will not leave them behind in Jesus mighty name

Politics / Nigeria's US Embassy Accounts Were Never Frozen by Degis(m): 5:23am On Jun 29, 2012
Ashiru

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru yesterday said he has no control over budgetary allocations and disbursement of funds to Nigerian Missions abroad.
He also said that the Nigerian Embassy in the United States (US) was not involved in alleged suspicious movement of $3.6million.
He said there was no case of money laundering at the nation’s Embassy in Washington D.C.
Ashiru, who made the clarifications in a statement in Abuja , said the accounts of the Nigerian Embassy in the US were never frozen.
In the statement by the Acting Director (Public Communications) and spokesperson of the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ogbole  Amedu-Ode,  the Minister expressed attempts at bringing the nation into disrepute by some people.
“It needs to be stated, for information, that the Foreign Minister has no control over budgetary allocations and disbursement of funds to Missions abroad.
“Once the budget has been approved by the National Assembly and signed into law by the President, the power and responsibility to directly remit funds to Missions overseas are vested in the Federal Ministry of Finance. Thereafter, Missions administer their budgets as approved by law without reference to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. “However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regularly monitors the accounts of Missions and any report of financial irregularities are promptly investigated and dealt with in line with extant regulations and procedure.
. “The Mission in Washington had stated times and again that it never operated any accounts with Wells Fargo and the Bank of America. Accounts that do not exist could never have been frozen or closed.
“The Vice President of the M & T Bank, Mr. Peter Senica where the Mission maintains some accounts, has stated that at no time were those accounts ever frozen for alleged money laundering activities.
On the sale of several properties of the Embassy in the US, Ashiru added:  “The story of alleged sale of several Embassy properties in Washington emerged in 2004. This is eight years and a succession of five Foreign Ministers long before the incumbent Foreign Minister assumed office in July, last year.

What is the hullabaloo about sacking someone who couldn't deliver on his Job?. How many of you employers of Labour would keep an incompetent fellow in his or her employ, when the fellow had consistently shown he couldn't deliver after several opportunities to salvage his Job. Rio+20 Conference or not, if Azazi had kept his verbal diarrhea to himself and busied himself with preventing further attacks and capturing Shekau and his fellow murderers, this cup would have passed over him.

Let him go home and repair his battered image amongst his kith and kin. Obviously, at least He now has time to continue to spew rubbish at conferences and seminars.

Nigeria has no security network and intelligence whatsoever because of endemic corruption and gross irresponsibility among leadership and there no way a country can be securely protected without a defined security network and intelligence.

Prolifiration of CCTV cameras in strategic location, manned 24/7.Mobile police undercover network.Well equipped and well paid police personnels and most of all,ACCOUNTABILITY among leadership are the key factors that quarantees a relatively secured and peaceful society.

People have to give accounts of their dealings and giving accounts means earning their places in the society. Those that deserves to be be in jail will go to jail and those that derserves to be honoured, will be honouredIf not,you will end up with a rogue society like we have in nigeria today.

Politics / Re: Is El-rufai Behind The Zaria Church Bombing? by Degis(m): 7:34pm On Jun 19, 2012
Nasiru El-rufai may not be involved in the bombings but his posts and tweets leave very much to desire, despite the various opportunities this country had afforded him in the past. He has demonstrated utmost immaturity that shouldnt have defined someone who had held various leadership positions before now, however, we are waiting for him and his baboon and dog party to come and ask for our votes before we despatch them back to their well trodden path of electoral failure in 2015.

Being in the opposition does not mean he should lose his decorum and tact, but their aggregate behaviour depicts intolerance of contrary opinion, which normally defines representative democracy and also leads to cross fertilization of ideas in the public space. The lack of plausible ideas from the opposition as characterized by parties like the CPC have led to unbridled hatred of anything that emanates from the dominant party regardless of what the nation stands to benefit from implementation of such policies.

What flies in the face of these opposition parties are that, even after succeeding to wrest power from The PDP, they may be become so transfixed, that nationally they may not know what to do with it as clearly evident in CPC eg Nassarawa, and ACN states eg Oyo, Osun states. Lagos State has virtually succeeded because of the personality of the incumbent but not as a result of any articulated policy of the ACN.

However, PDP States are not shining lights in governance either because of the deep seated ineptitude and corruption that is evident in running the states but one thing we must give to them is that they are not evidently flippant in using epithets to define their opposition thereby heating up the polity.

CPC IS HEATING UP THE POLITY WITH IMMATURE AND PUERILE OUTBURST. OBVIOUSLY, THEY SHALL FAIL AGAIN IN 2015. PEOPLE WHO CANNOT MANAGE THEIR COMPORTMENT, CANNOT MANAGE OUR COUNTRY

stagger:

Were you there? Police everywhere in the world always have a way of spicing up stories to make themselves look good.

This is a simple act of corporal punishment from a dad to a daughter who refused his instruction not to attend a night party after a string of consistently poor grades in school.

If the girl feels she is now all grown to do what she wants, then she should leave the comfort of his house and hit the streets, pay her own bills, send herself to college and face life.

That is why America is a den of drug users, social misfits and crazed children who shoot their own school mates.

My children have been trained to obey parental instruction, just the way I was trained to obey parental instructions. Instructions are not meant to be liked. They are for guidance, just the way we have rules and regulations and laws.

Creflo Dollar has a right to correct his child with corporal punishment (I don't know about the choking aspect though; depends on what a "chokehold" is defined as). And this has nothing to do with his being a church minister. Order in a home is the father's duty. Plain and simple.

Very sensible post!. Please keep this up. I am enthralled by your contribution.

what do u mean no proof and what is proof?
abu qaqa was arrested in a governor's lodge in abuja - pdp gov
senator ndume was indicted by an arrested member and traces of msgs from his phone were made public by mtn - he is pdp.
FG paid N100m to the family of the slain leader of boko haram and N5m to youth corpers killed by boko haram.
henry okah mentioned jonathan in his statement in south africa but leave that one.
pdp chairman only last week told nigerians that boko haram are fighting for justice.
uncle, what other proofs do u want?
jonathan himself on several occasions told us that they know who the sponsors of boko haram are.
joe said they will delete boko haram by june and here we are. it is a time to wait and see.
let no nigerian be biased about the role of boko haram in the polity because i can remember vividly how jonathan arrested Chief Raymond dokpesi over the 1st oct bombing in abuja. dokpesi according to joe was the masterminder. then dokpesi was in the camp of ibb but immediately after his arrest, he declared for jonathan and till today, nobody has mentioned that case again. could it be that the bomber(dokpesi) is now bombing for joe instead of against joe?

Indeed, you can beat Joseph Goebbels at his game of misinformation. Is the Borno state's Governors Lodge not where Kabiru Sokoto was hiding?. Check your facts, Borno state is led by ANPP. Meanwhile, it was Kabiru Sokoto and not Abu Qaqa. BORNO STATE AND NOT FG paid 100M because it was a Judgement debt not because it caught its fancy. Will you stop misinforming gullible.
