Politics › Re: Nigeria Anti-corruption Index Improves - TI 2012 Report by deletrue: 9:00pm On Dec 05, 2012
take dat: @Sincere9gerian, while its commendable that we've made tangible progress, this isn't worth celebrating yet. In 2011, Nigeria ranked 143 out of 182 while in 2012 we ranked 139 out of 176 so our moving up 4 places is partly due to the Fact that survey wasn't carried out in 6 countries for 2012 though our score improved. Note that The Corruption Perception Index is not designed to allow for Country Scores to be compared over time. This is because the index draws on a Country's Rank in the original data sources, rather than its Score.
Go through your comment again and i quote " while it is commendable that we have made tangible progress, it is not worth celebrating yet" unquote. Read that remarks again. Does it make meaning or sense? Try to embrace any improvement no matter how small it is! Bloody dullard and hater

karl max: I expected to see those clowns that called this government all sorts of name. When. The result of 2011 was posted on this forum by some disgruntled retards who call themselves critic.go and tell ur paymasters that come 2015 their lies and deceits would be exposed for all to see. nigerians are gettin wiser now you can say what u want about this government they still remain the best so far.just travelled to east with my car and the ore-benin express road is wearing a better look compared to the 8years a certain OBJ spent in office and work is still on going this decemeber a lot of people travelling to the east would travel and praise this administration and the press is not reporting about the massive work going on there all they write about is propoganda payed for by the opposition.
My dear, it is a pity some of us came together with these human like nigerians who are actually just empty beings in human appearance. Don't worry, no matter the animal form majority of nigerians are, they will agree some days that this government will be the best since indepedance. Punch has refused me entry for sometime now because of my defence of this government. It is difficult to hide the truth. if these haters like they should fence the truth with the blocks or concrete used in Berlin walls, germany, truth will break open that fence and expose itself. Thank you bros.

The man may have generalised a bit too much BUT is it not true that Naija women flock after rich/made men? If not how do you explain Ojukwu, Obasanjo, Abiola etc having baby mamas everywhere? Would any of the aforementioned men qualify as handsome?
Maclovington, he be like say you be proper nigerians as you fit mentioned correctly the most handsome men! But you forgot that South South man. Some day call am Chief E.K. Others dey call am Chief E.K Clark. He handsome well well too. Among them, who you go take as the most handsome?

ACM10: I know Professor Joseph Ojukwu. He is one of the most respected general surgeon in UNTH. He trained professor Ezeome, who is now the head of department of surgery in UNTH. He is a man of integrity. He is equally principled and humane and can never hurt a fly. The claim that he threatened to kill or maim someone sounds ludicrous to me. He is elderly and his sight is poor. I've had an interaction with him in his clinic at UNTH.

I know that Ojukwu's son is afraid of what the future might bring. He is unemployed and out of cash. His only hope of sustenance is his father's property. It's ok. But, this matter should be handled by the Ojukwu family. No need to go to court and waste resources. Chief Ojukwu should know that he has other siblings and he should find a way to accomodate them. Failure to do so will tear the family apart. On the other hand, responding to his greedy instinct will equally tear the family apart.

The way things are going, I don't think that Chief Ojukwu is the best man to handle Ojukwu transport business. He will mismanage it. His motive is not borne out of altruism, but greed. He has an aura of greed around him. The business should be put in trust for the family. Some percentage of the proceeds from the business should be shared between Ojukwu family members according to their agreed ratio.

If they fails to reach an amicable settlement, everyone will lose out in the end.

Finally, it's rather embarrassing that Chief Ojukwu is scrambling for their family's wealth. Isn't he ashamed of himself?
Very correct talk. Am not igbo man but prefer sincere talks from reasonable people like this man. The family should not allow the ojukwu achievements to fall different directions. I like ojukwu in those hey days because he was highly intelligent. Very brilliant. (that was the incamba of Nnewe himself) Please, try hard so as to end up peaceful. People who are close to chief Ojukwu should tell him to play matured role. Nobody should cause embarassment to the family.

There is already a functioning Methanol Plant in Bioko Island in Equitorial Guinea. I wonder if Equitorial Guinea is not in West Africa.
So they should not bambozoo us with this lie

No problem, change they say, is the only constant thing on earth. Wishing you good luck to you.

Could it be that the end time is here? When things continue to move against the tide, when man do those things that are abnormal in the eye of the few conscoius people and God, then know it that the end times are here says the Bible. Just look at the Bakares, CAN chairman, leaders of various churches etc., they continue to increase the uncomfortability of many of us. They move in same line with pdp, cpc, ancp etc. Their doings to some extent, may want to make man disbelieve the power of the almighty! I still strongly believe that God's time is the best.

HNosegbe: Death penalty for corruption... Nah, not the answer. Those northerners forgot to tell us that China is still a massively corrupt and unequal nation despite executing over 2,000 people last year.

What we need is to institute preventive measures and build strong institutions. How strong are our institutions? Have we created the enabling environment for genuine enterprise to thrive? Have we stopped the archaic practice of sharing "oyel" money every month? Have we begun to work on our value system and our mindsets as Nigerians? Have we begun to emphasise creativity over indolence and merit over nepotism? Have we begun to work on creating a culture that will make it possible for smart, intelligent, creative and honest people to thrive?

Until we begin to deal with societal problems from the source (rather than looking for quick fixes), we ain't going nowhere.
Brother, you have said it all. But which people go implement or pass that in law. Are we talking of this national assembly? People should just be praying and wait for God's intervention jor.
I am an engineer so I know all about making the impossible possible.. However, I am simply wondering how this picture works.. Two bikes, two different gear systems, two different brake systemts, Both brakes located originally on the right side of the bikes, both gear systems on the left side of the bikes.. How does he manage to work them and maintain a stable ride.. Or does he leav on bike on neutral and just ride one?! If so, what about braking?!

Basically, his design though ingenious, does not look plausible from here.. I need to see his design modifications upclose..
but you can see it in the midst of vehicles moving. If it has break other problems, i do not think it will be on the road. But as an engineer, please hastening up to tell nigerians how good (safe) this bike is to enable Fashola and other have a re think. The okada people needs to stay alive.
i think the two major reasons against them is that people use it for robbery, kidnapping and causing great disturbance as well as accidents.

It is almost certain he'll win the ballon d'or yet again. It might take another century for someone else to break these records. The beauty of it all is that he is so humble and unassuming.
Where were you since? or maybe i did not take note of you. You are so so observant! I like people like you to always make contributions because you sound so straight to the point. messi is the most humble footballer i have witnessed in my time. Some of you only exists to cause confusion in the minds of reasonable individuals. Why must any normal persons whose up bringing is upright ever think of supporting Dono? First, has he defended the actress accusation? Or are you saying that issues at stake is not weighty enough for his (dono) person to feel uncomfortable? Besides, your comment admits that almost every nigerians are going against Dono whenever his name is mentioned. Is that not indication that he is an irresponsible and is not suitable individual to fight curruption? Maybe, you think NL is as worthless as punch news paper where worthless issues are published in order to show nigerians unreasonable comments from people like you? pls try to defend correct people and not societal defiant like Dono.

Members of this forum, i will swear with God almigty that this pictures shown here are NOT from mobile hospital unless it is not from governor emmanuel udeaghan! These pictures may have been taken either from Oghara Specialist Hospital or some where in order to deceive the public. Am not a contract or appointment seeker. Have worked in ph, lagos, warri and outside and now pensioned and live in lagos and delta but not from delta state. I will include God while i talk about delta. This governor is the worst among all others in nigeria. The only thing he has done is the provision of vehicles in delta without any motorable roads. The only offence deltans did commited according to his complaints is that deltans did not vote for him therefore would wants to pay deltans in return.
I have parked all my two vehicles and bought another second hand to withstand the roads. As i talk it has gone bad. He is such a Devilsh person in our time
udeaghan, as you take pleasure in accumulating wealth from the suffering of both deltans and others, may this flood go with all the wealth you have made as it goes back from where it came from. As you inflict BP in us as a result of frustration arising from extremely bad roads, may these suffering climb down your head. Wicked governor. Yes it has come to this level. (God forgive for all this comments; it's as a result of frustration). Deltans, am i telling lies?
