mamabomboy:
The FG should not tell us that Rubbish. We don't want to hear it. Find the money, any way any how
Yeah yeah... They should carry gun and steal from Cameroun budget abi? Or borrow every week like Wike.
At least we know it is not because our money is being looted.
Sai Buhari.

Transparency...Change.

Did we ever hear this type of good news under the heroic Uncle IB? Asking cos I don't remember the bad old days so well these days.

PoliticsRe: NNPC Reports Monthly Profit Of N274m For The First Time In 15 Years - ThisDay by DelGardo: 6:37pm On Jul 08, 2016
plaetton:
In as much as I admire Kachikwu's management ability, using NNPC supposed first monthly profit in 15yrs to give credit to the Buhari government is very ignorant and laughable.

Have we forgotten that 15yrs of fuel SUBSIDY payments constituted a NEGATIVE on NNPC 's balance sheet?

With the removal or gradual fading of fuel SUBSIDY, NNPC has NO reason whatsoever to have NEGATIVE figures on its balance sheets.

It's simple arithmetic, duuuhhhhh! , nothing to do with Buhari's management competence, which we all know by now, is ZERO.
Nice attempt by you to take the shine off this achievement.
Under Jonathan most of the fuel was imported by third parties and subsidies thereof settled by the FMoF not through NNPC (correct me if I am wrong). Mind you subsidy budget is not held by NNPC so they cannot absorb the actual costs. NNPC imports refined products by crude swap arrangements to meet their own quota which is usually a fraction of the requirement, which is why they are usually able to sell slightly below pump price.

Yet they never turned a profit.

E pain you say the man with zero management competence is doing what a legion of ineffectual Bs could not achieve, abi?

Nice. Really nice.

Looks like Gburugburu is waking up.
PoliticsRe: NNPC Reports Monthly Profit Of N274m For The First Time In 15 Years - ThisDay by DelGardo: 7:00am On Jul 08, 2016
Great!

We have seen that it is possible to bring change and progress. When the man said he will stabilise the industry they laughed. Because successive administrations failed to bring transparency and professionalism to management of the oil sector, they thought it was impossible.

We now have sincere leadership. Despite their determination to see this government fail, despite their un-belief and distractions, lies and mischief, we are making progress. Things can only get better!

May God strengthen Buhari and those he is working with to deliver the change we voted for.
PoliticsRe: BREAKING: Boko Haram Releases Barbaric Video (photos, Video) by DelGardo: 9:35pm On Jul 07, 2016
This means Nigeria should be on red alert.

We should even step it up and go on the offensive otherwise the stolen weapons will soon be pointed southwards towards Borno.
PoliticsRe: Nnpc Board Under Former President Goodluck Jonathan And President Buhari by DelGardo: 9:24pm On Jul 05, 2016
As much as I don't care about all the appointment wailings you may want to take another look; Haruna and Wadzani sounds northern.
PoliticsRe: If You Stand Against My Anti-corruption Fight I Will Crush You – Buhari by DelGardo: 8:28am On Jul 05, 2016
Great! If we don't kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria.
Let the workers of iniquity wailing all over the thread continue. It only means we are making progress.

For the blind ones asking how the fight is being institutionalised please note the following:

TSA
Fuel Subsidy removal
New fx policy
Ghost workers
Administration of criminal justice act 2015
Fiscal responsibility targets set for the states
Transparency in oil sector (NNPC quarterly reports etc)
And so on...

That's is what I voted for. Happy days
PoliticsRe: Minster Of Transport: “signs Mou On $11.117bn Lagos-calabar” Railway Project by DelGardo: 11:34am On Jul 02, 2016

Loving the plan to start from the Calabar segment.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Practises Nepotism, Says Junaid Mohammed by DelGardo: 12:42pm On Jul 01, 2016
Bla bla bla...

Buhari, oya sack all these real and imaginary relatives and employ Metuh's cousin, Goodluck's ex girlfriend's mummy's sister or maybe Dasuki's elder sister's husband's niece. Osiso!
One day the discussion will come round to issues of good governance. For now let's just wail.

Where are the TANOIDS? The plan to Islamise Nigeria is truly underway, right? Ndi ara!

God will judge all of you for all the vile comments against a good man for parochial reasons. And the rest of us that voted him will have cause to rejoice. Wail on.

Sometimes I due wonder why we still have educated illiterates in all the varrious parastatal of nigerian govt. does it mean that when their president is stupid and illiterate that his fellowers will likewise be as him.
How can here on earth would they redeploy troops to niger delter, so no foriegn legal adviser to this govt. God!!!!! this bunch of illiterate are finally done in messing up this country.
They battled militants, but was unable to carry out a single arrest why the oil installations were been blown up even in their mist
There are just going to wake the sleeping lions and you know what it means but I trust the militants they know what is good for our econmy. watchout and seewhat next.
Ah ah... no be fight na... take it easy.

Good move by Defence HQ, a refreshed platform and approach is long overdue. A lot of the military personnel inherited from Uncle IB (the hero) under the Pulo Shield operation had been compromised.
It wouldn't surprise me if some of them assist the ND militants to worsen the state of things.

Good move!

Propaganda!
Nigeria is still much worse than Buhari met it. You expect us to start clapping because "things are coming down"? Who took those things up in the first place?
Rice of 9k now 13k, fuel of N86.50 now N145, tomatoes of N20 now N200, fish of N120 now N200? Dollar up in the sky, nobody even knows the actual amount now.

Its like stealing someone's wallet and then returning it empty, and you expect the person not to punch your face but instead go on his knees thanking you.

Only people who don't sweat for their money would rejoice with you.
In February tomatoes sold for less than N3k per basket, guess you didn't notice back then.
Yeah... Buhari also killed all the fish in Jonathan's ponds.

PoliticsRe: FG Set 23 Rules States Must Fulfill Before Accessing The 90 Billion Loan. by DelGardo: 5:19pm On Jun 15, 2016
That's what I am talking about... governance is serious business. There is work to be done and the FG is prodding them to sit up.

TSA is not in PDP lexicon (forget that "Goodluck introduced TSA" story), so that one alone will chase the unserious ones away. No more goat and yam behavior allowed.
PoliticsRe: Is Absence Of “True Federalism” The Problem Of Nigeria? by DelGardo: 12:36pm On Jun 14, 2016
Some of the biggest policy mistakes in this country over the years have come in the wake of deceptive chant of one word solutions to hydra headed problems.

There was a time when the buzz word was "de-regulation" of the banking sector. Before Babangida did it we had the ACBs and CCBs of this world. Next thing there were a million banks and a billion bank failures... trillion tears shed.

Now the players are back with a new word "Federalism", yet no one knows exactly what that means.

Ticks all the right boxes, it does.
I believe the solid minerals (including Ajaokuta Steel and ALSCON Ikot Abasi) can drive the turn around jointly with textile and petrochemicals.
Ride on my president.

PoliticsRe: Errors In The N-power Model..........possible Adaptations by DelGardo:
Eddygourdo:
mr man, dat u couldn't understand my post doesn't give u the right to speak to ur betters about reeducation. I clearly highlighted the flaw in the program. I highlighted that the program is laudable but there is no need for a teaching option. That produces no solution. I highlighted areas they should concentrate on to enable the graduates become self sustaining after the duration of the program. Yet you say my views are lacking in merit because ur shortsighted. You as a typical nigerian have considered a quick fix to the problem of unemployment. Isn't that the aim of the N power program ? Isn't it suppoised to be a youth empowerment program ? How does the teaching option solve that if the same program didn't do that after nysc? Are they supposed to establish schools after graduation ? Are they teacher trainees to be employed after the duration ? Or are we employing them for 2years so they could return to unemployment after the period ? For God sake wat is wrong with this nation that its people cannot think .

A two year program on ICT alone may not be sufficeint imagine pairing dat with teaching. Why can't this be a means of diversification. Why can't they concentrate on areas that would produce entrepreneurs after the program rather than teaching. Why must they teach ? Has any economy growth indices been improved by the number of teachers ?

We truly deserve our leaders. We don't know wat we want. Shame
We have a scheme with a set of objectives but you have designed another scheme in your head, which is at cross purposes with that of government.

Whatever floats your boat man. Peace
PoliticsRe: Errors In The N-power Model..........possible Adaptations by DelGardo: 2:38pm On Jun 09, 2016
Eddygourdo:
look at this short sighted phool. Post ur thrid class and watch me shame ur mediocrity. So two year jobs is thhe solution to the nigerian unemployment crisis? It hurts that clueless people never realise they are clueless. Shame
For your own sake I will still keep it civil and pretend we are having a decent discussion.

So you problem is the length of employment not the pay or the type etc?

I have not seen anywhere in the document for this scheme where it was billed as the final solution to the employment crisis. Now I don't know where you got that from.

The point is that you might have some valid views but you have not marshaled them well, making your post somewhat empty and lacking in merit. I have not said you are illiterate, just read the programme literature. How hard is that?
PoliticsRe: Nigercem To Commence Cement Production In Ebonyi Soon by DelGardo: 2:19pm On Jun 09, 2016
Great... Umahi seems to be properly squared on. Heard he was one of the people that frustrated earlier efforts.
PoliticsRe: Errors In The N-power Model..........possible Adaptations by DelGardo:
Eddygourdo:
now imagine this type of fellow, its ur type who will be tasked to teach students what you don't even know. What is the aim of the N power program. If at all its a youth empowerment scheme, in your cluelessness please relate how an extended 3year teaching for a nigerian graduate helps to better the life of such a fellow.

Do you just type because u have Mb or is this how ur brain works ?
So being employed does not better lives?
Once again try and get educated... you might actually find that useful.
PoliticsRe: Errors In The N-power Model..........possible Adaptations by DelGardo:
There are so many weaknesses in your argument that one wonders whether you even understand the key objectives of the scheme.

You have also ignored the improvement that it will likely bring to our educational sector and literacy level, which is one of the measures of development and HDI.

There is also a scheme that ticks all the "YOU WIN" boxes. Get educated bro.

The ineffectual one has spoken... hear, hear!

Did nothing during his term, now he is everywhere pontificating.
Don't forget to tell them next time that goat must eat yam.

I blame Buhari for allowing this nauseous reminder of the ugly past.
PoliticsRe: FG Launches 500billion Naira Social Intervention Scheme by DelGardo: 11:37am On May 30, 2016
This is good. But the devil is in the details...
it's all about the implementation.

The fact that World Bank will be assisting with the direct cash transfers to the most vulnerable is a bit comforting. Yet there is so much that can go wrong with the kind of civil service and executive architecture we have.

Would have kicked against this idea had it been proposed by Jona, the clueless one, but I trust Buhari.
