-Why should anyone live in fear if his conscience is clear?

-Are the judges in question only PDP judges? Do they belong to any party in particular?

-When and how has this government intimidated or gone against opposition with the intent to silence their voice or curtail their activities?
I know that PDP and other parties are still active and their poster boy, Fayose, has been very vocal.

-Can you point to one executive action targeted at the entire parliament that suggests suppresion or usurpation of legislative functions?

-Do your have evidence of restriction of press freedom or any link to show that the press have been bought over 'since'?

We voted change! This move, if they see it through, is part of what we expect from the Buhari government. You can wait till 2019 to look for another Uncle IB to install, so that you can continue with a lawless and orderless government.

The OP has done a great job by placing the two administrations side-by-side, can we just have an intellectual outing? Not some Mountain-of-fire-like prayer session (I mean how can God run somebody's life like Buhari is running a country? Are oil prices falling in heaven? The last time there was a battle in heaven it had nothing to do with Boko Haram, but even to that prayer I say Amen) and wild musings.

Don't forget that their hero is a clueless man who achieved virtually nothing after nearly six years. They want to see Buhari fail, to feed their delusions.

Whether the Naira exchanges at N400 or N1,000 to the dollar should not even be a topic of discussion in an educated gathering. Focus should be on the causes and effects, as well as ways to exploit the opportunities it will present to the country.

With Buhari we have seen small and big changes that should gladden the heart, so I advise you to pay them no heed:

- Despite the fall in oil price this government has not borrowed. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala had told us that they planned to borrow to pay salaries
-Without borrowing this govt. has paid salaries, bailed out states in difficulty and settled long outstanding subsidy claims left by Goodluck.
-No more subsidies and federal govt no longer pays Muslims traveling for hajj (and they said he wanted to islamize Nigeria)
-Stealing is now corruption. We have all heard the revelations so no need to go into that
-Buhari has not ordered Amechi to go with Ghana bags to get dollars from CBN to settle Senators for budget to be passed
-Focus has turned to made-in-Nigeria goods and we are buzzing with productive ideas.
-the Judiciary has been left to do their job. Freedom of speech and rights of the citizens are being upheld.
-Boko Haram heavily degraded and stifled.
-Over N2.2trl saved in TSA to be unleashed after the budget is passed. Foreign reserves being managed through deliberate slowing down of demand and emphasis on productive supply of FX so that we don't run into a "Zimbabwe" situation (no disrespect for Zimbabwe though).
-we have a government at the federal level.

The executive sets out the policy thrust, the budget office sets out the premises and high level assumptions while the civil servants draft the proposals and budget to meet the policy objectives.

The plan is laid out in the 2016 budget. Last time I checked the budget had not been passed into law so it cannot be implemented.

Hope to see some action when all the noise about the budget has died down and the document approved.

There is no way that this government will provide the kids only biscuits. The remaining two-third must be other varieties of food.

The OP should note that the main objective of the feeding programme is to make going to school more attractive for the poor, who might prefer to use their children/dependents of school age as cheap labour. In order words the plan is to raise the literacy level in quantitative terms.

Another objective is to improve productive capacity of the nations food processing capacity and create employment.

Quality of education is being addressed with the proposed recruitment of 500k teachers.

Any argument that seeks to ridicule this objective is malicious in my view given our low literacy level especially in th North. Your views on the nutritional value of biscuits was helpful though not convincing.

Which particular policies are you disappointed with? As for Soludo and Sanusi all I have heard from them are not as horrible as you make it sound. You have to look at the intentions of government first and judge also their drive towards that intention.

A policy (like ban on importation , certain items) will affect some people but will be in the longer term interest of a greater number of the people. In other words we cannot have a perfect policy.

Naira will slide even if you hand this country to Obama. Because our source of revenue is oil, which is going southwards.

We have heard the Economist, Bloomberg et al suggesting that Buhari should allow Naira to fall as low as it can. Is that the sort of policy you want Buhari to adopt? If so you will be disappointed because he is not likely to do that.

Anyone with a bit of sense will know that this government is performing economic miracles given the massive fall in oil prices and the empty treasury they met.

We are on a steady march to a new Nigeria under a sincere and resolute leadership. The era of clueless and corrupt presidency is gone forever. Our task now is to make sure of that by raising the standards in 2019 after Buhari has laid the foundation.

Which one is left and right again? World economy is slowing down due mainly to fall in oil prices and weak demand for consumer goods. Our economic growth has always been linked to oil price so it is only natural that low Brent price will translate to lower growth rate for Nigeria. It has nothing to do with the president's economic acumen or lack of it. Dig?

Also economic growth does not mean much when the money earned from oil is stolen, shared among few politicians or spent on stuff like (I struggle to remember one thing Jona used money for) African first ladies' gathering in Abuja.

We have had higher growth rate than Canada in the last 8yrs but we are no where near them, using any measure of national or individual development index.

They should but not assault rifles.

With the amount of money used to buy an AK47 we can get a Ruger or HK 9mm pistol with good stopping power, comms equipment, flak jackets etc. So we essentially get more bang for the buck.

Safety is also key. Using assault rifles in civilian populated areas, when not in response to serious firepower, is wrong on so many levels.

So I am ok with lighter caliber weapons with proper gear and right training.
