Naa, a chance You don't give a failed former leader a chance to continue on his failing patterns rather you oust him. He doesn't have a record of serial developmental agendas in his previous stint as a military leader. Well, how will you know after all you may not have been born then.
Every thing your guy touches turns to dust, so there is no point allowing him to have a leeway or soft landing to ruin us the more. His incompetency and cluelessness is legendary, believing otherwise will signify that you are not a good student of history.

To dust? Really?
Like Kaduna - Abuja rail line has turned to dust, in your view.
Like he turned that almighty subsidy scam to dust, since the ineffectual one could not.
Like Boko Haram was turned to dust after your hero claimed they were his brothers and did virtually nothing to control their spread? I will remind you that over 20000 turned to dust to feed his deadly ambition
Like billions brazenly stolen under him should be celebrated and sustained by Buhari... that's not going to happen
Like the way El Clue inherited over 6000mw power generating capacity and left it there.... going as far as singing songs about Mambilla hydro power plant without even acquiring a plot of land for the project
Like the way no new road was built in over 6yrs.. and the existing ones paved with portholes and dust. Tell us about dust.

The OP said that you guys have become boring in your approach.. and suggests you adopt a different line. I think you should consider that.

kettle84:
so this is the plan of Buhari to turn Nigerians to peasant subsistent farmers (farm to eat) while he corners the revenue of the nation from oil and other sources to himself while he uses the Army and police including DSS to suppress and brutalize anyone who questions his backward moves.we are moving from an industrial era back to the days of peasantry and subsistence livelihood.

our currency has become worthless that a whole one million naira is less than $2300.

Your opinion... you are entitled to it. However how does that support asking the OP to post his farm pictures, which I addressed in my post?

By the way we are moving forward from a country that failed to utilize earnings from oil to improve industrial capacity to one that must get the basics right.

If you support small scale industries why are you bad-mouthing his suggestion? Besides 70% of Nigerians are into the same subsistent agriculture way before Buhari was elected.

If you want to know who is stealing your oil please read yesterday's news on Mama Peace, Deziani and co, or visit Aridorf Hotel and see our people having a laugh at you jokers.

It is hard to understand why Buhari is unwilling to probe and prosecute Jonathan and PEJ to send a clear message to his fellow yam eaters.

The merciful stand of this administration on that rotten couple has not won them new friends, neither has it impressed the destructive wailers.

So what's the point? I say do the right thing and bring them to justice.

Now because of a couple of isolated herdsmen related skirmishes in SE and, all of a sudden, it's the end of the world.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Needs Plans, Not Vague Assurances, Blames. Whats The Plan, Mr President? by DelGardo: 1:38am On Sep 09, 2016
socialmediaman:

ok so the plan is to keep up with GEJ's projects, improve procurement process, then what? You seem to ignore the state of the economy at this point in time. The economy is in recession!!! In advanced societies, presidents even resign for leading an economy into recession. So I ask again, what's the plan?

The grand plan is to spend our way out of recession hence the huge budget with substantial CAPEX content. To spend you need money. To have money you need to make revenue especially FX revenue, if not you need deep reserves, which can be used to prop up local currency for imports .

To earn revenue you must have productive capacity, high productivity and acute competitiveness. To be highly productive you need infrastructure (remember the CAPEX up there?), high quality and industrious workforce with a large appetite for entrepreneurship.

To have all these lovely things you need money (again) not just a piece of paper called plan, but you find yourself in a low-revenue-and-very-weak-reserves situation so you plan to borrow (read the budget; that is the major output of the plan). So, if you are not dizzy yet, that's the plan; and we are at the point where we need loads of money.

It's a cycle. This government is trying to make the most of a very bad situation. They have shown their plans over and over with integrity to back that up. Read some!

Now let me ask you, what's your planned contribution towards greater productivity and improved FX revenue? We all have a role in this grand plan.

It gets confusing when people who sound reasonable get a bit pedestrian. The whole of our history is littered with plans but zero or little implementation.

We get a government that has carried on with whatever they met on ground (I have not heard of any contract cancellations or revocation of licences or agreements - except with crude trading deals of Deziani and co) yet some don't see how important that is.

Recently the fed govt. announced proposals for emergency powers to turn some assets to cash and reduce red tape in contracts so they can cut down on time to implementation. It has been condemned by the backward thinkers and doomsday converts. But that sounds like a plan to me.

We can go through the budget implementation document and see tons of intent on key deliverables. Am I to assume the OP has not seen this document? That also sounds like a plan.

The point is that plans, in my view, are overrated in Nigeria. Even the ridiculously clueless IB had plans. How far?

Yet they ask. I tire.

OP you get time. Let them rant while we make progress. Having said that I hope Buhari will take the following steps in the coming weeks to sustain my support:

-get rid of the bloated presidential air fleet
-arrest and prosecute Jonathan.

I don't understand the gentleman agreement he entered into with Uncle IB but it is not winning hearts and minds of the supporters of Goodluck, so Buhari should do the right thing. It is criminal to put your country in a precarious position by being corrupt and clueless; it is unfair to allow the culprit move upandan

Meanwhile, as someone said recently, those guys stole enough money to bring down any government. I see that money at work everyday on Nairaland.

Politics / Re: Channels TV Sunrise Daily Moderators Are Novice!!!! by DelGardo: 8:24pm On Sep 05, 2016
I find that they are hardly ever prepared, as a result facts get shuffled with fiction, and the public ends up being misinformed.

They need to get contemporary training (starting with basic logic, fallacy etc). They also need the support of solid research team to tear up assertions and positions made by guest on their program on the go, where they are not supported by facts.

Imagine allowing some mischievous PDP officials back then coming to Sunrise Daily to claim that they built 25,000km of roads and no one challenged that!

Why don't they move things along faster by setting up the IT infrastructure within an existing Police or Fed Govt building? The abandoned VP's residence can even be used.

Wasteful venture in my view, the new building construction that is. The move and pageantry is PDPesque.

Please sort out your leadership/followership crisis so you can present a decent opposition to this government.
