Jaykolo10: I can see peeps blaming brits for this shithole country's downfall..... smh We are not serious yet. We will continue to complain and blame until we admit we are responsible for our failures. Then identify what exactly we are doing wrong and start working towards solving the problem. That's the first vital step to our redemption |

They can kiss my ass for all i care That's what you get when your race is weak and powerless. The strong will always devour the weak to survive and flourish. Blame your weakness and not the whiteman. |

A house nigger they called such in the American South. Why are you worried about anti immigration? Because you need a opportunity to runaway from your homeland to a land that has been developed by other people? I fully support anti immigration so Africans in particular will stop hoping on running away from his problems at home but rather focus on fixing his mess at home. |

Culture › Re: Why Do We Pay Bride Price In Nigeria? by Delivar(m): 10:02pm On Mar 06, 2018 |
XhosaNostra: In some cultures, it is believed that once a woman is married, she is no longer part of her biological family, but a new daughter/ family member to her husband's family. So by paying a bride price, you're showing gratitude to the people who raised her, fed her, sent her to school & instilled some values in her. They prepared her just for you & your family, so you must give them something back as a reward for all the work they had to put in. At least that's how we look at it in my culture. In the olden days you couldn't even run back home if your husband is troubling you, they'd send you back so you can go discuss your issues with your "new mother". This is rubbish. Then what will the girl's parents pay me for taking care of their daughter after marrying her? And don't you the girl's parents should also show gratitude to my family for raising me, sending me to school and preparing me for her? |

They chained us and shipped us to the sugar and tobacco fields of the Caribbean and Southern U.S. They raped our land of all it's resources and slaved our men. A people who learn its history will attempt not to repeat mistakes from the past, because they say history repeats itself. Your people sold their people as salves to the Europeans willingly. So what are you talking about? Talking about raping your land resources, when you are weak and powerless be ready to be conquered by the strong. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Companies Are Using Linkedin To Search For The Right Candidates by Delivar(m): 9:41pm On Mar 03, 2018 |
myrrtle: Hi there and hope we are all having a good weekend.
It's not my intention to reveal too much about my professional life, but if doing so will help someone, then it's not a bad thing.
Many people here know me as a recruiter and the web manager for Careersome. But aside that, I have a full-time job, working as a fullstack engineer and growing my career in that field.
As a career enthusiast and consultant, I do a lot of career research and self study to get enough information to talk about career stuffs and guide people. I also apply the things I've learnt to my own career. In doing this, I've learnt that LinkedIn is a very powerful tool that no serious job seeker or career person should neglect, even if you have a good paying job.
You know I keep my LinkedIn profile updated and any new skill I learn, I put it there. And of recent, I've been getting a lot of messages like this" You appeared in 42 searches this week
You were found by people from these companies"
The annoying thing is that these companies, not just Nigerian companies, keep viewing my profile and do not contact me.
But that changed this week when the representative of a top financial company messaged me with a job description. Almost begging me to apply and even gave me his phone number to call him if I wish to speak.
Regrettably, I did not apply for the job because they wanted a Neymar and I know deep down within that am still an Mbappé. And also because I am not ready to leave my present job.
But the story here is that employers are seriously looking for the right candidates to engage. And LinkedIn is one of the tools they are using to search for these candidates It's funny how 10 lucky folks out of 1000 who are contacted will use themselves as a testimony like everyone else will get a job through LinkedIn. The truth of the matter is that the ROOT problem is still there; THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH JOBS TO GO ROUND EVERYBODY. If we all join LinkedIn MANY people still wouldn't be contacted. |

koolg: Short-sighted assertion A worker with average salary of 10m per annum has 100m in 10 years while an entrepreneur may not even make 20m in same duration And how many people do think will be that lucky enough to get such high paying jobs? Just 0.5% of the population. |

They won't hold him for this long and still deny. Kanu too won't be alive and stay quiet. But how was he gotten that not even one person saw when he was captured or killed? There were people monitoring activity in the area during that invasion. Someone should have seen something. There was a time Orji Uzor Kalu said Nnamdi Kanu was in London. Someone like Orji Uzor should know something better than us. I guess he was indirectly telling us Nnamdi Kanu is somewhere hiding. |

potterdon: Ur anology is off by a lot of points first ur time line is off the attack was in the evening. And if Kanu gave up on the struggle the FG won't have bothered to use the entire arsenal at their disposal to attack his residence. Third considering they murdered five of his cousins in that building and abducted his parents do u think he would have a hand in such just not to look like a coward. Please use ur sense and stop speaking out of malice because today the Western lands are being dealt with by the same fulani soldiers they hailed on that day It still doesn't make it an impossible scenario. Even if his cousins were killed operations still go wrong and things go out of hand. FG possibly informed him of the invasion beforehand and asked him to flee and abandon the agitation or they get him. If Nnamdi Kanu decided to flee with his parents before the soldiers gained entrance it's still a planned work between FG and Nnamdi Kanu |

Sprumbabafather: I want you to repeat your analogy again, but this time use 2am and 3.30am in the morning as the time on your watch? Then wake the ipob supporters that were in his house from the cemetery and interview them on what really happened. hankMacoy: Fine analogy. All is NOT what it seems. But this analogy is destroyed if actually the army came by 2am. That time is too dark to see what happens. Sad. I have another feeling. The guy is dead and the army wouldn't dare say it. Coming by 2am means one mission... LET NO ONE BE ABLE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS. It's definitely not a very pleasant job they came to do by that time. Just some logic They never came at night. First you need to follow the sequence of what happened. The soldiers first came at the 10th of September and there was a clash between IPOB and the soldiers. The soldiers clashed with IPOB supporters because they were yet to get their target. Why would the soldiers bother to clash with IPOB if have gotten Nnamdi Kanu already? After that September 10th clash the solidiers arrived again on September 12th which is 2 days later and surrounded Nnamdi Kanu's house. Why surround Nnamdi Kanu's house if they have gotten him? Since the soldiers left for 2 days after the first clash that should be an opportunity for Nnamdi Kanu to sneak out of his residence. The soldiers finally gained entrance into Nnamdi Kanu's house on 14th September which is another 2 days after surrounding his house. Here is a report from The Sun narrating the events of 14th September. It was stated in the report that the invasion occurred between the hours of 4 - 5pm http://sunnewsonline.com/breaking-soldiers-invade-nnamdi-kanus-family-house-many-feared-killed/ |
