Sharia law is best applied in 100% Muslim dominated societies. As we have learnt from Zamfara, Sokoto and other Northern states, it always ends up impacting negatively on people of other faiths. We still remember Deborah (Sokoto), Christiana (Gombe) and many others. May their souls rest in perfect peace. Meanwhile, the law never seems to apply to the corrupt and wealthy elite. |
Probably the same way NNPC Refinery workers were being paid all these years that nothing was being produced. It seems that no one really cares about productivity. |
It seems that the terrorists now mingle with villagers among whom they have informants and willing or unwilling supporters. In a situation like this, collateral damage is inevitable. Very sad though. An aerial bombing of Lagos creeks in the Ikorodu axis some years ago led to the death of all those in the area. I felt sad for those who might have been innocent but, terrorists, kidnappers and oil bunkerers had taken over the area and were launching attacks around Lagos. There's been peace in the area thereafter. |
A woman with a good heart but probably not used to the politician's ways of doing things. |
ppogba:Gbadebo confirmed it. Check his twitter page. |
Believeintruth:Thanks for the explanation. |
I would like to know why Shariah law is never applicable to the rich and the corrupt elites. Why does a poor man who steals bread gets amputated, while someone who steals billions thereby impoverishing many, walks free? I'm not criticising. I just need an explanation from knowledgeable Muslims. |
Richtaiwo:It seems that the bandits have learnt to dwell amongst innocent people so they can serve as collateral damage. They then blame the military for bombing innocent civilians. It may be a way of discouraging air raids to their own advantage. |
Ironbull:No one has been arrested in Abuja and Anambra in respect of similar issues. Makes one wonder why her case is different especially when the unfortunate incident happened before the commencement of the event. |
The State Govt. and Ondo people can honour their son as they wish. Betty's choice of words is embarrassing for a woman of her status. There are better ways to handle this. |
kingsways:I once had a colleague at work who was Ikwerre and speaks Igbo but would fight anyone calling him Igbo. I think there are historical reasons which haven't been properly analysed or explained. |
Hmm! Aa ni soore daran o. Amin |
They don't deserve this. Two people who go out of their way to help others. Very sad story. May God deliver them from this misery. May the souls of the dead children rest in peace. The way it seems, some of the parents were irresponsible. Blaming the organisers alone isn't fair. How do you throw a child across a fence for whatever benefit without thinking of how he lands on the other side? |
Buy beans with weevils for safety and store in the freezer. They can't survive the coldness. |
I really wonder how ritual killing became such a big issue in a place where people should be enlightened enough to know that killing another person for pecuniary gains is horrible. Of course, going by Omoluabi principles, they'll reap bountifully as they have sown. Another angle to it is that, we may have some people who are harvesting organs for sale. May God deliver us from all evil. |
See modern parenting in action! Na wa. 😓 People keep glorifying nonsense in the name of wokeism while complaining about gen Z kids and bad behaviour. Let me meshionu before I get brickbats from "young school". Do as you please. We reap as we sow. Chikena. Updated Just read that the child is autistic. That's a different case and not so easy to handle but there are ways of managing that too. |
Great memories! Bolekaja was used as school bus in some boarding schools then. I remember that they operated on the Oyingbo, Akoka, Bariga routes. They always passed in front of Unilag gate. Molue was popular on the Oshodi, Mushin, Ikorodu, Idumota etc routes. The red and white modern LSTC buses were also available on some routes. |
In a seminary now ke? The man should answer for his sins with this confession. A serial murderer hiding under repentance and God's forgiveness. We need to be serious. Religious sentiments are not leading us right at all. |
Unfortunately, Kemi's rhetorics will not elevate her status in British politics. Nigeria has it's issues like other countries. A quick browsing on YouTube alone shows a lot of complaints against the Police in UK in recent times. Two tier policing and unnecessary profiling are two major sour points that are being raised. Not so different from what we have here. That's not to say we're doing great. I and a friend were briefly arrested in front of our gate many years ago while seeing off a visitor after 9pm. Lucky escape but I know how it feels. Hopefully, we'll learn hard lessons from all the brouhaha. Nothing is hidden. Truth prevails. The only way to earn respect is for us to do things right. Now we see that the children that we traumatise can easily become enfant terrible in our lives in due course. May God guide us more and may we try to do His will more. |
People will pay ground rent to FG and Land Use Charge to LASG in respect of the same plot of land. Na real wa! |
I wonder why it's so difficult to train our own people to function well in the solid minerals sector, instead of relying on foreign investors, who are always looking for how to milk us dry. Then they destroy the environment while the owners of the land suffer, and remain poor. Zamfara and Osun are examples. |
She should have left the kids out of this video. |
She should have left the kids out of this. |
His sister, Titi Vivour Adeniyi is doing well as head of DSVA (the gender violence agency). |
RandDigital:A real eye opener! This isn't edifying in any way. Probably why there's so much hatred for us. However, there are also many Nigerians doing well in the real sectors of the economy. |
FreeStuffsNG:I appreciate his efforts no doubt. I just wish that he can do more work in Ikorodu and Badagry zones. Let the whole of IBILE be fully impacted positively. Hopefully the LGs will do better when they get direct allocation. |
Mindlog:More clarity. Thanks |
The corper should sue for assault at least. People need to learn lessons. What kind of bush mentality is that? Greeting is not by force. She should have ignored the corper when she felt offended for whatever reason. |
PressMyButton:Hope the E border tech will cover all the bush paths too. |
CJStarz:Hmmm! The military era was far worse in terms of handling protests. They had their good points though. |
