All they need to do is to send the bills to the leasees just like LASG sends bills to all houses in Lagos. Some people may not be aware that they're required to make such payments. |
Meanwhile our newly refurbished Warri refinery is being maintained one month after it resumed operations. Thanks to Dangote. The DR fuel I buy now lasts longer than those yeye imported fuel. More grease to his elbows. |
This is heartbreaking! These girls need proper counselling and rehabilitation. It seems most of them had no idea of what they were going to do. Kudos to Amotekun. They need to do more. There may be many hotels like this all around the SW. The GBV institutions should be strengthened in all states. The one in Lagos is so well managed. |
Please is blasphemy punishable by death under our laws or it's strictly under Sharia? I'm wondering why we have to kill anyone for this. It easily becomes a tool of oppression against perceived enemies by way of wrong accusations. God can fight His own battles. He is the Alpha and Omega. |
Mathewrichard99:It's best to find out which stations sell good quality fuel. I've been buying mostly from MRS lately. No regrets. I learnt that their fuel is from Dangote Refinery. I don't know if it's true. |
He has foolishly wasted his future. Why not walk away? |
No punishment for their crimes! Very soon, they'll regroup elsewhere claiming hardship and start afresh. Are we even sure that all of them are Nigerians? |
I wish that they could use Sharia law to tackle this menace. There should be something there that deals with irresponsible parents. |
Godsonkemz:You're right. This needs to be done across board in most states. What's happening in Anambra is taking place in many other places in different ways. I remember listening to a traditionalist who was interviewed and explained that no ritual requires human parts in true African Traditional Religion. Most of those involved in such killings are either organ harvesters or were deceived due to ignorance and greed. |
Cursed id.iots! Some people will be focused on "village people " without considering things they may have done to attract terrible curses that will ruin their lives. |
Will they be granted approval for land to build a Church if they ask for it? They probably decided to use their house for fellowship because they found out that the 27 approved Churches are considered adequate. However, if they were having noisy programs in a residential neighbourhood, it's most unfair e.g. shouting and singing at the top of their voices when others are resting. Still, this reminds us that the Shariah does not apply to non Muslims mantra is more of taqiyyah. Honestly, I have nothing against Shariah law if it doesn't encroach on the rights of others. May the souls of Deborah, Akaluka and other departed ones like them continue to rest in perfect peace. |
ravensckar:Hmm! I think Soun will do well with the support of the people especially the diasporans and the large population of their citizens domiciled in the North. He's been touring places where they have large numbers of their people towards a planned socio-economic development of the town which is the 2nd largest in Oyo State. I don't understand why people believe that he was crowned by Dr Adeboye. Certainly, that was a follow up event (in terms of prayers/blessing) to what was done by the kingmakers and the Oyo State Govt. who are duly authorised to do so. Oluwo is mostly busy fighting for the advancement of Islam/Sharia and the eradication of traditional religion. He's also trying to rewrite history for reasons best known to him. The two are clearly not in the same category. |
Absuchat:You obviously know nothing about Ogbomoso and the people. |
I remember him as one of the shining lights of the apartheid era. May his soul rest in peace. |
Hmmm! Suicide or murder made to look like suicide? Sometimes, we never really know. May his soul RIP. |
We should be looking at reducing the number of States! |
It's not ideal but we went ahead to renovated the place. |
Namaster:I know there's a lot of manipulation and sense of entitlement to other people's things going on but, there are indeed extremely broke people right now. Your analogy on the 2nd guy may be wrong. Some people married 2-3 years ago basing their plans on the foreseeable future within their limits. The truth is that no one knew things could get this bad. Most people now live on salaries of pre- subsidy removal. Some have lost their jobs which is worse. I think it's wise and rewarding to give the bit you can especially when there's no immediate indication that the beggar is fraudulent. May God provide for us all. |
It's so irritating and often disgusting. NAFDAC and medical personnel have explained the health risks several times. Cancer, kidney issues, surgery complications etc but they never stop. The annoying thing is that they don't look beautiful, they look ridiculous especially after some years when the skin deteriorates. Na dem sabi why. |
The question is how do they source for kidneys? A bit worrying when we consider the spate of missing persons and what we think are ritual murders but are in fact, organ harvesting. |
The kidnappers deserve to die. Heartless guys. May the late lawmaker's soul rest in peace. |
Fake Reverend Father and fake Deaconess going about their criminal business. Catholic Churches have Nuns not Deaconess.🤷♀️ Anyone can wear suitable apparel and call himself Pastor, Alfa, Reverend Father, Nun etc. Asking for the evidence of training may sieve the wheat from the chaff. |
Pentagon007:I understand your perspective but I also know someone who worked for one of the agencies some years ago. They truly went on missions to provide support intellectually and materially for affected people. I remember her trips to some states which opened my eyes to the prevalence of HIV AIDS even in rural areas. That doesn't rule out the fact that they may have been working with crumbs while the "fat cats" shared the loot. |
The point is that no one has been able to show us how Sharia has improved the lives of Northerners starting from Zamfara. Yorubas are progressive in nature. No "big man" who has looted our resources in the Sharia compliant states has opted to be tried under that law. All we see are amputated poor guys who have stolen petty things. That kind of injustice will not thrive nor be tolerated in the SW. Human Rights lawyers will work tire. BTW Sharia Arbitration Panels exists in some SW states including Lagos. Those who desire the law are free to go there. The Customary Courts also take religion and cultural practices into consideration. Having Sharia Courts with enforcement capabilities aka Hisbah, will not work in the SW. |
May God replenish him and bless him marvellously for his generosity and commitment to the people. |
Sonnobax15:Those practising abroad have been duly trained here and certified by the health authorities over there. Obviously, they're not among those who may have cut corners to acquire their licenses here. |
Most unfortunate. Are we sure that they're doctors and not quacks? The owner of the hospital will be held responsible anyway. |
It appears to me that this battle is all about the rich mineral deposits in that region. It's sad that Rwanda is alleged to be involved by backing the rebels. Most unfortunate for Africa if true. May God bring peace unto DRC/Congo soonest. |
Maybe now we'll think less of acquiring more jets, maybachs, bullet proof jeeps, re-renovating houses etc and budget more for our health and education sectors instead of relying solely on foreign aid. David has made life more difficult for the poor and helpless who benefit a lot from the aid especially HIV patients. Also, poor mothers and children who get vaccines for the prevention of childhood diseases. |
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Kudos to BOS and his team. The last time we had water flowing regularly from our taps was in the LKJ era. He constructed several mini water works in different locations to reduce reliance on Iju Waterworks back then. Hope those ones too can be revived to serve as backup or at least serve their immediate locations to take pressure off Adiyan. |
Abeg, any NAFDAC staff or connected person should help us inform them that they need to check some of these big supermarkets for repackaged expired products. Especially seeds, nuts, spices etc. Mostly unbranded with no NAFDAC numbers and expiry dates. |
G9d bless his soul for his glorious service rendered to the nation. May God comfort and uphold his family as his soul rests in peace. |
