Heartbreaking indeed! May his soul rest in peace. May God comfort and provide for his family. Can't we just stop these bike riders since they're banned in most places in Lagos? They're so reckless. |
The marketers should try to manage and monitor their sales better to avoid unnecessary losses and build a good financialbase for themselves. Recently, I observed that some filling station attendants may be playing games. The official POS is either faulty or the card transaction will always be declined even when you have funds. Take it elsewhere and you'll find that there's nothing wrong with the card or the network. Their solution is that you transfer to their personal account! There may initially be no intention to defraud but after a while, the devil will help them see it as a bright idea to enrich themselves. MRS Bar Beach is one of the places where I saw this happen. The attendant was actually trying to be helpful since the buyer was stranded without cash. Organisations should put their account details vividly by the pumps. Supervisors/Managers should be able to check the pumps, efficiency of the POS machines and income regularly. Otherwise, in due course, half of their income will end up in the pockets of the attendants. |
GlobalAdvtForum:God bless your efforts and grant you divine favor always. |
It appears that the father inlaw was never of much help in trying to reconcile the couple. Quite embarrassing the way he's the one speaking out and taking sides when we have no insight into the other side of the story. Yorubas say "iyawo buruku se fe, ana buruku ni o se ni". Now I understand! May Dr Ikenna's soul rest in peace. BTW we don't have enough cardiologists in Nigeria. A huge and sad loss indeed. |
richmond500:A fridge/freezer can be opened from inside so getting out shouldn't have been a problem. An autopsy will hopefully show whether they died before being placed in the freezer. |
How has Sharia improved the lives of Northerners? Why are looters and bandits never tried in Sharia courts to fulfill all righteousness? Only poor people are harrassed and arrested for funky hairstyles, drinking/selling alcohol, haram music and dressing etc. Of course, Southerners will not subscribe to that. We try to hold our leaders accountable in every way possible. |
We should do better in gold, palm oil/kernel, gem stones, lithium and others too. We used to export rubber in the old days of Western Region. I still wonder why we can't make tyres here instead of importing substandard products from China. |
Looks nice. Try using logos that will resonate well with the average Nigerian. Create your own brand. Don't make fake lacoste etc bags. Make them durable and some, colourful for young kids. It's not worth it trying to use foreign names. Let's be proudly Nigerian. I wish you resounding success, progress and prosperity in your business. |
Same people that often return to the forest to join their fellow terrorists once they're broke. Some may serve as informants. I remember what Senator Ndume and some Borno residents said about them. What does Sharia say about punishment for people who have messed up other's lives? Shouldn't they be tried and punished for their deeds? As long as there's no deterrent, terrorism will not end. |
That's why Trump was voted in. 1% of the people should not be putting the majority in danger and confusion. You're toasting a fresh babe only to see she's a man! Imagine guys pretending to be girls being admitted into female wards, hostels etc. Not to mention the crazy things which happened in female sports. We really need some sanity on earth. |
Happening as usual in the first Sharia compliant state! Zamfara used to be peaceful. Then came a governor who happily amputated a man for stealing and married a teenager all in the name of Sharia. Same man didn't ask to be tried for looting in the Sharia court when EFCC came calling. The law is for the poor and ignorant, it seems. Religion should indeed be a private affair. Problems will always arise when some people want to enforce their own brand of religion on others and there's neither fairness nor equity in terms of justice. |
It's time to change the laws. Anyone caught doing this deserves to die. No technicalities, no sentiments. |
Interesting! Customary court based on our tradition and culture I guess. |
9jatriot:Hmmm! That's possible. |
I would rather buy DR fuel than buy cheap, substandard blended fuel, all in the name of saving costs, that will still be spent on car repairs and maintenance. |
Very sad! I pray that her husband and others are released. May her soul rest in peace. So scary that this is happening in FCT. Kubwa is not so far from the Central Area. We need stronger laws to deter kidnapping. It looks like the amnesty and long trial methods are not working. |
akenzua74:The older estates like Sunny Vale, Sun City etc were well laid out and mostly still well maintained. The buyers paid development fees during construction and then maintenance charges thereafter. |
franchasofficia:Exactly! You'll always find some in-laws standing up for a wife who has been good to their family. |
Part of the funding required can be gotten from the collection of receivables like ground rent and other land charges on existing FG properties. As observed from what the FCT Minister is doing, it's obvious that a lot of people were allocated land without paying the necessary dues. An improvement along that line is necessary. Simply seeking more money from the annual budget allocation isn't a sustainable solution. |
I wonder how he could have won the case having seemingly denigrated the Courts and Judges too. The traditional rulers have provided a soft landing on all sides. The roforofo and humiliation would have been too much if the trial continued. |
GeneralPula:Interesting. I remember that Sango was related to Nupes. The reality is that it's difficult for any culture to overshadow the Yoruba culture. That's why wherever Yorubas have settled, the culture remains strong till today. Also, most Fulanis in Ilorin can only speak Yoruba and most bear Yoruba names. Nupes were absorbed in Lagos too. The Yorubas in Ilorin still have their oriki and maintain the culture apart from religious rules and obligations. |
Lithiumite:True |
mikeapollo:Ile Ife is the source and spiritual headquarters. Oyo Empire was political. They fought wars and conquered territories. |
The root of it all being the mineral resources in their territory. May God deliver us Africans from our frenemies. |
helinues:I understand the economic challenge but we have to consider the threat of terrorists invading the SW. Okada is their usual mode of transportation. That's why it was banned in some places in the North. I don't know if it's still banned within Abuja. |
RIP gallant soldiers. May God comfort, strengthen and uphold their families as they bear this sad loss. I sincerely hope that the rumour that "repentant" BH are recruited into the military is not true. Otherwise, they could be the enemies within especially with these frequent attacks on barracks. |
Metrofox:Very important! |
Ritual killing, organ harvesting and child trafficking are things that need to stop across the nation soonest. It's so horrible to see lives being wasted so heartlessly! |
The funny thing is that most people don't know that the real brown roof area is the ancient Ibadan town and it's a small area compared to the rest of the city. That's why it has "Bode" (boundary) and "Gate" areas marking the two ends of the stretch. Of course, there are adjoining areas that developed in the 50s and 60s now with old brown roofs. There are many beautiful layouts and GRAs outside the old city. |
People will go elsewhere. There are so many beautiful places in Africa and the world to visit. |
The court is right but they should temper justice with mercy. I know it's based on deception and obtaining under false pretences or something like that, but, how will someone begging for 3k raise 150k? Layi wasabi the roadside lawyer, should intervene.😄😄 |
The question is...does he plan to have kids shortly after marriage? If a couple decide to roughen things out for a year or two so they can plan ahead for the children, it's up to them to manage as they wish. Bringing kids into the picture quickly will certainly make a step higher exceedingly difficult. Miracles happen though, like sudden uplifting in their careers. |
