Na by force to visit? So if one does not visit the US, it shows that their job is not paying much.

So any American that does not visit Nigeria, we should assume his job is not white collar? Shey you people see the kind of warped mentality you have built around this US abi? That for someone to show they are really successful, they should visit the US. Tell Bill Gates that he's a poor man because he hasn't visited Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Rivers Chronic Moral Decadence: Governor Omehia Proffers Solution by denex: 12:54am On Aug 10, 2007
"SIR" Celestine Omehia?
What kind of stupid colonial title is that? Who knighted this man?

A man that can hardly function has a self-imposed knighthood. Colomentality!

@TayoD

Thanks jare. So it's now back to 7 dead? Well, that's still okay.

I must say this clearly though that no matter where this incidence took place, I'm disappointed that they've not mounted cranes to help lift the wreckage and have spent so long all in the name of treating the collapse as a "crime scene".

Both the rescue and recovery took so long and is still taking so long.
TV/MoviesRe: Gulder Ultimate Search 4 (IV)! by denex: 12:30am On Aug 10, 2007
I do not support NB doling out hundreds of millions to this guy's mother just because he died they should pay as much as his insurance covers and they should consider whether the guy waived NB Plc from bearing any responsibility.

Things should be done the way they should be done. For God sake 6 miners just got buried underground in the USA, most probably dead. The company responsible will take care of it's basic responsibility as stipulated in it contract.

Which one be N100 million? You want make people begin enter Gulder Ultimate Search with the intention to die?

So you just expect to stumble unto Ogboni in a forum like this?

My guy, you must be a proven field warrior of nature age, experience and intellect before you'll have any chance.

Just keep doing your thing. If in the next 20 years you excel and distinguish yourself, then maybe you'll meet them or perhaps who knows? Maybe they really don't exist.

I believe most of these senior confraternities induct their members from all these many Chambers of Commerce and professional bodies and all them Yoruba Tennis Club and you know all those other clubs.
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: How Open Can U Be? by denex: 11:00pm On Aug 09, 2007
I'm a very open and honest person. But the truth is that I don't talk too much because I'm never sure when honesty stops and where gossip begins.

It's that thin line that keeps me cautious. But if I believe am not overstepping that boundary, then I can be totally open.
PoliticsRe: The Federal Government Should Declare A State Of Emergency In Rivers State by denex: 10:32pm On Aug 09, 2007
The Federal Government should take no action on the Rivers state issue pending when citizens of Rivers state can appeal to it with a petition 5 million signatories of which a majority must be Rivers state citizens.

If the government swings into action now, the people may use that as an opportunity to peddle stories of genocide, marginalization and ethnic cleansing. So let us be sure what they want.

These boys firepower is nothing compared to Nigerian Army Arsenal. Do not use the eye of all those worn out AK-47 you see with "korofo" at roadblocks to rate Nigerian Army armoury. Once a state of enmeshency is finally declared, Nigerian soldiers will slaughter those boys like chicken.

you are wrong. The Nigerian police tackles these types of issues very well. I've seen it with my own eyes. That Punk will never disturb her again once NPF steps into the matter.

I'm only going to tell you the truth. It's going to affect you.

I must admit I did not read the whole of all your posts to know whether you're now dating, but if you're 20 and you've never dated anyone, then you're going to have some major issues.

I know because I've gone out with someone like you. Always going to self destruct. You better start learning what love is right now because you still have a little time.

well, I used to run an outfit known as ironhand.com (aka violently active) though we've been disbanded now, this is the kind of matter I would have loved to handle. Anyways, tell me where you're located and where the culprit is located so I can see if I can do a favour.

PoliticsRe: Can You Die For Nigeria? by denex: 8:59pm On Aug 09, 2007
I can die for Nigeria. But only if my death can cause a positive change that will affect generations of Nigerians yet unborn. I'm definitely not going to die a useless death.

As for this Fasuba guy, I don't see anything wrong with what he did. When a child misbehaves, you have to scold the child. So also when a childish country misbehaves, you have to scold that childish country.

He's not the first one to do it. There was a time when African American athletes won Olympic medals and during the medal presentations and national anthem, they represented the black panther! They were protesting ill treatment of African Americans in the USA.

The man Fasuba loves this country so much, if not he wouldn't have contested. Nor would he have put in efforts to win. But he had to correct the ills he saw. That is a true patriot! I respect that man and I would have done the same.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by denex: 8:43pm On Aug 09, 2007
I too do not support the shower hour. It's just those bald head, Pot-bellied, whiteass Boers way of riding African brothers and Sisters into decadence. I've not watched it yet but I definiely will except I'm afraid of seeing that Lerato girl naked. She has a very ugly looking body. WTF!

BBN was far more interesting than this yet there was no shower hour.

This shower hour thing is just meant to corrupt and nothing else except of course further degrade African cultural morals.

If they know that they're only trying to show every aspect of life of the housemates, then why don't they show them when they are in the toilet shiting? Why is that not a part of it?

They've succeeded in blowing HIV rates among native South Africans over the roof and now, they want to get to the rest of Africa. Bastards!

Anyway, I hope the show improves. And why in the Hell is there no good music? Didn't they watch BBN? Abi they are trying to get publishing for all the songs they'll play? Na dem sabi sha.

till you properly understand this democracy thing, you and I will not be able to hold sustainable discussions.

AC holds majority of the House of Representatives but you forget that the people control the members of the House of Representatives and majority of the people do not support this action.

I'm talking about how things are done in a democracy not a BUSH-ocracy.

even if he's telling the truth, where Ebele get N295 million from? Abi has he not been a civil servant all his life? How does civil service now reward him with $2.3 million? That man must be mad!!

Because Yar'Adua declared hundreds of millions, he too just declared hundreds of millions without first examining his financial history.

All the money na so-so gift, gift, gift? Abi does he not know that a civil servant recieving gifts anyhow is actually collecting bribes?

If these boys are pursued, it is the same indigenes that will say government is carrying out genocide. Let's leave them till they crawl to the Federal Government begging and they bring a petition signed by no less than 5 million people.

Where can I apply for Togolese Citizenship please?
PoliticsRe: In Spite Of Oil, See Where Our Country Ranks In The Human Development Index by denex: 12:43pm On Aug 09, 2007
The human development index puts everything into consideration so don't bother about any extra issues.

If I say the Human Development index of Norway is higher than that of Equatorial Guinea, that means overall, all things taken into consideration, Norway is a better place to live than Equatorial Guinea.

So there's no need considering population all over again. Population was already considered.

So all in all, Palestine is a better, safer, more educated, prosperous place with higher life expectancy and better welfare than Nigeria and India.

Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go to Palestine.

I'm trying to get at least a couple of my songs recorded, but the Producer in the Studio is really whack at making slow beats. All he knows is how to play around with Fruity Loops and make some fast hiphop/rock type beats.

So I'm thinking of doing things the traditional way.

Holler at me if you can handle this.

No O! Not yet. They are fighting for the emancipation of the Niger-Deltans. Let all the people rally round and support them. Those innocent people that died are only the collateral damage. In every fight for freedom, there must be some casualties.

Let them continue. Shebi it's ordinary dynamite they are using now? They have not started using laser guided missiles yet abi?

Freedom for the Niger-Delta! Morons!
TV/MoviesRe: The Success Of "udeme" Guinness Advert by denex: 11:54am On Aug 09, 2007
The advert did not make much sense in relation to what it was portraying and it was ever so present. That's what made it so popular. It's a technique that MTV has been using for years and it works.

As long as the advert does not make sense to you, yet you see it all the time, you'll keep thinking about it, trying to make sense of it. And that's how it maintains it's presence in your mind.

I don't believe that advert was shot for Nigeria or in Nigeria. They must have only just done the voice over. That's what those multinational companies operating in Africa usually do. They just shoot an advert in Kenya and translate various other languages and names to fit other countries.

I don't see a reason why we should be commenting on a completely fallacious article by the media at bastardizing Nigeria.

Any article that can write that Yar'Adua revoked the sale of Refineries, can as well write that the earth is flat!
PoliticsRe: In Spite Of Oil, See Where Our Country Ranks In The Human Development Index by denex: 11:00am On Aug 09, 2007
Na wah O! So human development index is higher in Palestine that Nigeria and India. In fact far higher.

I wonder then why are Nigerians and Indians not lining up for Palestinian visas or using illegal means to migrate to Palestine.

Who compiled that bloody list? Was it Central Bank of Nigeria?

Was it not an organization in one of those countries ranked at the top of the list.

You may wonder if the HDI in Togo is far better than that of Nigeria, why do Togolese keep coming down to Nigeria to become puff-puff sellers, bus drivers, house boys and house girls. TELL ME!!

they are very lucky that with all their ojoro, she did not choke and die on her voice.

Gulder that is doing ojoro Ultimate Search in Jos has already lost the life of one contestant before anything.

Let them carry on.

I'm organizing my own reality show soon and it's not going to be as complicated and round-about a circle as all this rubbish these people are doing. It just going to be a higher level of a quiz show. Y'all watch out cos nairaland is going to be a part.
Nairaland GeneralRe: If You Could Change Your Name by denex: 10:22am On Aug 09, 2007
My name is Nejeeb. I love that name so much because it is very rare and thus unique.

The meaning of my name is "the son of a noble man".
I believe it glorifies my father too much. What about me? Why can't the name just be noble man?

Anyhow sha, what I'm definitely going to change is my surname. I'm definitely going to get an ancient Nigerian surname most probably from Anambra state.

Like Oguejiofor. Maybe not, but I'm definitely going to bear my wife's surname. That's what I'll change about my name.
