PoliticsRe: Olokola LNG And The Niger Delta Question by denex: 7:40pm On Aug 11, 2007
The only thing I can suggest is that the Federal government should SELL shares of the NNPC to indigenes of the Niger-Delta areas producing Crude Oil as transparently as possible. Then allocate also to those whose land and property is directly forfeited for the exploration of Crude Oil.

Those that cannot afford to buy, or have not directly given up anything for the exploration of Crude Oil in the Niger-Delta, sorry for them.

@doyin13

your medium term plan is ideal as this will enable other areas develope and take charge of their own resources too.

Has Kupolokun not been the one saying that the refineries should not be sold?

I see nothing wrong with what the ex-Military Administrator has done. He was in fact never a Governor. And even if he was, it makes no difference.

Afterall, Tony Blair left his post as Prime Minister to become an Ambassador to the middle east.

I don't see anything wrong here O! In fact see what Afikuyomi is doing in Lagos.

Err, dimka, are these the same robbers you talked about earlier or these are a new set?

Because the first ones met their waterloo in a "beer parlour", now these ones have met their waterloo in a "bear parlour".

How far? Clarify issues.

@naijaway

me I fit steal surveillance camera. Na people wey don chop belleful and wey get records of photos, fingerprints and real identities go dey fear to commit crime due to surveillance camera.

Even if the police records a video of me stealing the camera (though most likely, I'd wear a ski mask) but what records will they compare it to?
Even if they see me live on their monitors removing the equipment, what is their response time. Their "rapid response" time?

The first thing we have to do in this country is to build a solid database from information available to employers, banks, schools, INEC, Immigration, National Identification programs, Hospitals and unions. Once this database is built and people become aware that the government has solid records on them, crime rate in Nigeria will drop by about 30%.

Why do you think the Nigerian police never collects fingerprint, blood evidence or even make sketches? No database to work with or compare.

And this database costs less than one million Naira to set up, yet it is not available. How much more installing surveillance gadget?

PoliticsRe: Lagos Girls Versus Governor Fashola by denex: 2:18pm On Aug 11, 2007
@kitaun

you've asked for evidence to prove that Fashola is in support of this indecent proposal. Will a governor sit down and watch when his state being run contrary to his directives? Show me prove that Fashola has condemned this recent human right abuses which emanated from his wife's bedroom.

I appreciate you carrying on and on about your idealistic referendum in your "westernized" nations.
Like the one leading to the Iraqi war?
Like the one that keeps Cheney from testifying?
Like the one that set Scooter Libby free?
Like the one that allows unwarranted wiretaps?
Is it on top of your big head they are carrying out the referendum? Is that why we can't seem to see it?

Were you not the same numskull who said Fashola's wife had been on a campaign against indecent dressing?
Are you suggesting that the IGP ordered the CP to start pursuing the heart desire of Fashola's wife?

Now you resort to flogging the century-old pinhada of every political failure: SABOTAGE.

You my friend are a professional slowpoke.
PoliticsRe: ICPC Recruits '10 Million' Nigerians To Spy On Governors, LG Bosses by denex: 1:52pm On Aug 11, 2007
@mamajama

it is not a fabrication. To find 10 million Nigerians willing to do easy, volunteer work that is beneficial to them indirectly, yet takes nothing of them is very easy.

What I consider a fabrication however, is your statement that the Nigerian army is a little over 2 million. Brother please! The only army over 2 million is the Chinese army. The Nigerian army is about 100,000.

Well, me I've seen some of these people even before I read it in the papers. One of my ex-schoolmates working in the Prisons service is one of them.

@TayoD

the ministry of finance has a website that shows all monthly allocations. To any Nigerian who bothers to check. They also publish them in the newspapers. I think that should be enough. No use for 2 websites performing the same exact function when Nigerians have REFUSED to put the existing one into use.

http://fmf.gov.ng/portal/detail.php?link=faac

also the projects carried out are also documented. But do Nigerians care? All they do is complain.

At least for my Local Government Area, I can tell what projects have been undertaken, those ongoing, and those planned for the future:

http://owaneast.org/projects.htm

so don't worry about information. It is made abundantly available. It is the people you refuse to use it and rather report to the "Our Leaders Are Bad" philosophy of handling things.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Girls Versus Governor Fashola by denex: 1:00pm On Aug 11, 2007
@kitaun

if you do not know how laws are made, better be silent.

If you do not believe Nigeria will get to where it is meant to be, you better hide away. Who even told you that in Britain and America they consult with their people before taking action? If they do, why do you think opinion polls are always against the leadership.

It is your own ignorance you're exposing here. So you have made up your mind that for Nigeria to do anything good, it must copy Britain and America.

@Seun

you can see I'm really trying to be "less abrasive" in here, but the ignorant won't let me.

@kitaun

how could you imagine that if Fashiola was impeached, then they would go and call Jimi Agbaje from his house to become governor. Did you miss the post where I said we should give the female deputy governor a chance? Is Jimi Agbaje female? Is he the deputy governor?

I cannot show you any place where the Governor made his stance against indecent dressing known, but by the grace of God, you will. Afterall, you have already made it know to us that his first lady had put on ground a prerequisite to all this indecent dressing palaver weeks before the police followed it up. So keep the info coming in. At the end of the day, you will not need me to prove your idiocy!

Omo, na complete format be that O! NEXT OF KIN! So this man don tey for the game?

Forgery in Massachusetts is punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than 10 years or in jail for not more than 2 years. So that is another "gbese" on its own.

Swearing a false affidavit in a court in Nigeria is another crime again on its own. This man just keeps roping in himself.

That's assuming all this is true though. I don't trust that pointblanknews and I don't know them. And I don't know anybody that knows them. I need to see The Guardian saying something about this.

my brother, I swear, I'm really very tired. You can imagine.

I was watching a documentary about Bruce Lee where I found out that the guy was born in San Francisco, was an American citizen living in America during a time that China was really downtrodden, yet he repped China to the fullest.

Then you have here some nigerians that want to force themselves to become dissidents and foreign propaganda agents.

I'm really tired O! I don't know what else to do or say.
