PoliticsRe: Icpc Arraigns Nwude, Ofulue For Offering Bribe To Ribadu by denex: 5:17pm On Jul 16, 2007
Nigerians don't like all these sorts of heroic stories. They prefer tragedies. They want to hear that Ribadu was caught with a briefcase containing $1 million crossing the border to Cameroun.
PoliticsRe: Gbenga Daniel Declares Assets Worth 4.46 Billion Naira by denex: 5:08pm On Jul 16, 2007
I just hope that now that Gbenga Daniel realises he's losing 1 billion every four years, he does not get tempted to pinch N2 billion from Ogun before his second tenure runs out. May his God strengthen him to resist temptation or he'll face EFCC in 2011. I still believe though that Otunba Gbenga Daniel also contributed state money to the 3
rd term agenda. But I doubt he channeled any money to himself.
@koko777

if Business people like Bill Gates, Ted Turner and Oprah Winfrey can give out a chunk of their total worth away, I see little logic in the statement you made about businessmen. That loss was a sacrifice he didn't know he was going to make but now he has to bear it anyway.

@Afam

majority of the foot soldiers fighting in Iraq are Latinos. So in some way, the immigration problem is being solved too. One Nigerian fighting as a US soldier has died, and I've see one Nigerian on the field. So no matter how you look at it, America wins.

The oil is being sucked, the US Companies are getting reconstruction deals paid for with Iraqi money, extermination of muslims and the enemies of the proxy America is taking place, diversion of attention from the real internal failures in America, the American media is making outstanding profits, everybody is happy.

Talk of killing a thousand birds with one stone.
PoliticsRe: Gbenga Daniel Declares Assets Worth 4.46 Billion Naira by denex: 4:43pm On Jul 16, 2007
Otunba Gbenga Daniel was the Deputy Managing Director of H.F Schroeder and Chairman CEO of his very own Kresta Laurel for 13 years before finally becoming a governor in 2003.

The first WAS a billion-dollar company that is no more doing so well. The second is a billion-naira company that is gradually beginning to perform poorly too.

Evidently, the absence of OGD is a great loss to any organization. I hope the indigenes of Ogun start grooming a proper replacement for him right from now.

By the way, he wholy sponsored his first campaign and candidature in 2003 because the PDP did not envisage winning Ogun and Lagos, so there was basically nothing from the party. He was on his own. Nobody put him where he is today, he just chooses to respect OBJ and others because they are his elders.

Like I said before Kresta Laurel offers premium service in the acquisition and installation of lifts and escalators in corporate buildings. There are other smaller businesses own by Otunba Gbenga Daniel under the trade name Kresta and there are some companies owned by his wife under the trade name Laurel.

They have been running these companies successfully for up to 13 years before 2003 when Gbenga Daniel became Governor.

I didn't want to engage it that whole crack-- discussion because honestly those words are too harsh for me and besides their is no truth or intention of truth in those name calling.

When you talked about the MTN BTSs I found it a little, well, anyhow since you sound so serious about it, I'll find out about you.

@Afam

have you been following the UK bombing story? They've freed 2, they're charging the other one in Australia with recklessness and I'm sure the rest are either going to be arraigned on misdemeanor charges or freed. This type of terrorism seems very mild to me.

@Dis Guy

Kresta Laurel installs elevators and escalators in corporate buildings.

There were other Kresta companies he had and there were Laurel companies owned by his wife, but Kresta Laurel was the major money raker.
PoliticsRe: The List Of Arrested Corrupt Governors (after May 29th) by denex: 3:37pm On Jul 16, 2007
Nigerians, are we cursed?

They arrest none, we say why don't they arrest some.
They arrest some, we say why don't they arrest all.
If they arrest all, we'll why did they arrest all when some might be innocent.
If they release some whom they think are innocent, we will say it is tribalism.

Why this National Indecision among the masses since 1914?

Are Nigerians cursed? Why can't we just decide on a course of action and stick with it?

@Big B1

you too, stick to one principle. If government should not waste funds pursuing IBB like you and I rightfully agreed, then the government should also not waste funds going after OBJ with hearsay evidence.

Gbenga Daniel I can vouch for. He was running a well established international business before he came to run for governorship. Lemme go and search google.

His current salary as governor is far less than what he was making as a business man.

Na wah for Nigeria O! Do you guys remember that Harry Akande wanted to become president of Nigeria? With his billions of dollars, am sure if he'd been the one quitting office May 29th with a total asset in billions of Naira, Nigerians would have still shouted. You must enter a pauper and leave a pauper or enter a billionaire and leave a pauper. That is the way of the Nigerian Government official.

Christianity EtcRe: Was Jesus Sent To The Whole World Or Prophet Muhammad (saw) by denex: 2:13pm On Jul 16, 2007
Jesus was sent to deliver the African Jews from the Grasp of the Romans. But when the Africans did not see the physical manifestations of this deliverance a la Samson, they denied the messiah.

But Europeans all over the Roman Empire accepted Jesus even though he wasn't sent to them and they tried to manipulate the scriptures to qualify themselves for the grace.

Muhammed was a "Hitler" who knew the vital role of religion in his mission of conquering the world. He went unto the "mountain" and used scriptures of the Bible, both those that were included by the Roman Catholic Church and the rest that were discarded as a template to pen his Quran.
PoliticsRe: Is Queen Elizabeth Going Nuts? by denex: 1:49pm On Jul 16, 2007
But what a carefully chosen time by the Queen to incite Pakistanis.

Why doesn't she just give OBJ a knighthood too for his sincere efforts at developing the Niger-Delta and endowing it with state-of-the-art infrastructure while she's still in the knighting mood?

PoliticsRe: The List Of Arrested Corrupt Governors (after May 29th) by denex: 12:51pm On Jul 16, 2007
In fact this is how the system should work. He used the money to fund 3rd term abi? Does that mean he should be set free? That would be his undoing if he mentions any such thing.

But people remember that Turaki has not said this himself. This information is coming from another tabloid wannabe newspaper and their all-knowing "SOURCES" which at one point they referred to as "He".

I am responsible. I the common man who sits down and watches as things go bad, I'm responsible.

I, the ordinary citizen who refuses to read the constitution in order to know when someone in government is doing right or wrong and refuses to learn how to correct a defaulting public officer. I am responsible.

Christianity EtcRe: What Do You Feel About Black Jesus? by denex: 10:13am On Jul 16, 2007
@blue-sky

I will state this again. The Islamic Jihad of Arabia is what brought Arabs to Africa. This happenned between 600 and 800 AD.

At that time, the whole of Egypt and Libya was made of Christians, Jews and Nature Worshipping AFRICANS. When the Jihadists entered it was virtually impossible to convert these hardcore believers from their faiths. And the code of the Jihad is either convert or die. So most of them had to die.

There are still a few African Egyptians who are the descendant of those who could muster enough cowardice to convert to Islam. When you see the drawings in the pyramids and the tombs of pharoahs, including DNA testing on the last greatest Pharaoh, Tuttakhamun, you will realise that the Egyptians are Africans and not today's Arab occupiers.

It's the same with the Fulani in Nigeria. If the Hausas and Yorubas in their way had not converted to Islam, they would have totally be exterminated and replaced by Fulanis.

Do you know that the original Jamaicans were of Mongoloid race? They were more like the red Indians. The Great Christopher Colombus wiped the whole of their civilization because they would not become slaves. He then began importing Africans who were easier to enslave. But today you would easily mistake that Jamaicans are ancestrally of African origin.

if some people are not making sense to you, it's not because they don't know that they are saying.

It's because they're trying to maximise their number of posts and they don't mind saying what they do not know.
